It's very hard to manage for long, but everything about this is so cool and cute! I do agree that it's kind of confusing in regards to the theme but a pleasant experience nonetheless :-)
I like the concept! The wait for heroes to complete their missions was pretty long which I feel doesn't match the type of gameplay this was going for. The music is super cute.
The court summons thing is clever, and the art is very nice and simplistic. Only real nitpick is that I wasn't much of a fan of the 'current' references.
Very cute game! During my first playthrough I placed the 5-cost cat on the farthest left spot and it wasn't able to defeat anything. I tried again in a different position and was able to get to wave 2, but I couldn't build up enough cost for more powerful cats.
