LD49 — Unstable

The Unstable Zone by Joror 2021-10-05T15:11:19Z

Great going. I loved the atmosphere of the game! The fog shader is great. Could be nice to have it move with the ship, or give an indication on currents (if I'm not mistaken, their are places which are harder to cross, seems like their is current but not sure). I guess my main concern is understanding the goal of the game. I gather that I'm in some cavernous place, but not sure what I'm doing there or what is expected of me.

Unstable Medicine by loveapplegames 2021-10-05T14:23:56Z

Interesting idea. Wo doesn't love sacrificing a couple of Lemmings to fight off the apocalypse. :) Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out how to change tools. I was stuck with the explosion side effect.

Rock by ghpxi 2021-10-05T15:17:29Z

Not sure, but It doesn't seem to be working probably (tried on firefox and chrome). I can only see the planet (no asteroids or anything) and can't interact with it.

Alteration by ColinBellino 2021-10-05T16:19:25Z

Awesome entry (my favorite so far)! Pixels are delightful. Music too. The yin yang in the overgrown maze atmosphere really works well. At first I thought the levels were much to easy. But some get harder later on and I had to restart a couple of times to get some of them right. I guess the difficulty could be more progressive? FYI. The game crashed on HTML (firefox) after maybe 6 or 7 levels..

Karawan by Rongo Matane 2021-10-05T14:50:03Z

Beautiful game. Soothing and curiosity building. Was really nice to wander the land. Well done!! Some here seem to have found it hard. I felt on the contrary, that I had all the time in the world. I saw some terrain disappearing, but very gently and it never really caught up to me. Didn't really need to make any upgrades either. If you were to continue development, it could be nice to have some tougher decisions to make. But that's my opinion. :) Great job.

Block'd by JPiolho 2021-10-05T11:18:57Z

A surprising take on Tetris and a very polished game! Well done!

You Can Not Start This Game by PartTimeIndie 2021-10-05T15:57:56Z

Sorry I don't have a windows computer to play. Sure looks fun and creative! (If you ever post an HTML version, let me know :))

Unstable Alchemist by SneakyLemon 2021-10-05T11:39:55Z

Nice graphics and atmosphere! Well done! Some things are not immediately obvious and add to the difficulty of the game: like falling does dammage, how to attack (having a mouse reticulum might make it more obvious) and that potions are not collected they kill you (maybe showing the first skeleton trip over potions might help + have some kind of blinking animation when taking damage, or giving the life indicators more space on the screen...).

Core Breach by buckmeister 2021-10-05T14:16:37Z

I had a hard time understanding the objectives or what the environment was about. Maybe having a way-point system give some step-by-step instructions to the player on the first level could help clarify game-play?

Topple Tower by Kroporo 2021-10-05T14:57:19Z

A classic. Super satisfying. Great job! Just a thought: would appreciate a score screen or maybe a versus mode (local or even better, online). Would considerably prolong play time. :)

Unstackable by Flazone 2021-10-05T14:02:12Z

I really like the atmosphere of the gif presentation. Wish I could try the game out (I don't have access to Windows computer).

Unstackable by Flazone 2021-10-05T14:25:58Z

Thanks for the concern. I'm on Linux. But if you have an HTML version, that would work too.

MELO by grand_machin 2021-10-05T14:00:05Z

Haha, running away from stuffed turkeys made me laugh! Had fun and I love the art and the humorous running around. Great job! in terms of feedback: at first, I would completely rotate my phone and didn't understand I could simply tilt the phone. This resulted in me almost dropping my phone in my coffee.. (maybe a quick tutorial screen showing a tilted phone gesture could help...?) Otherwise, I'd sometimes hit the screen with my thumb, restarting the level. Maybe having to double tap to restart would avoid unwanted interruptions?

How high How many by ache games 2021-10-05T11:24:16Z

Thought the player controls where a bit difficult. the tiny reticulum + keyboard movement makes moving around and grabbing pieces unnecessarily hard. imo. Nonetheless, I kept coming back for more. Desperately wanting to stack them up. (got 4th place in the end) :) Well done!

Wob the (Wobbly) Builder by korfi 2021-10-05T14:26:57Z

Looks fun. Unfortunately, the html version won't run and I don't have access to a windows computer.

Wobble by BGDC 2021-10-05T13:44:48Z

Looks fun! Good job. Wish you had a HTML version (Don't have Windows...).

Wobble by BGDC 2021-10-05T14:25:05Z

Thanks, that would be great.

Orbital Cascade by PolymathLD 2021-10-05T15:42:49Z

Awesome!!! Love the art. The dithering for the atmosphere gives it a really nice feel.

And the game play is cool too. A lot of games (mine included) lack clarity in terms of objective and game play. But not yours. A concise and challenging experience. :)

One regret maybe, is that the front of the ship is not very different from the back. So remembering which side you are facing is unnecessarily tough (it's tough enough to have to change referential and press up to go down,...). But that's my opinion.

Great going.

BouncyCake by NPr0nn 2021-10-05T14:10:46Z

Well done, I like the almost tron-like atmosphere! I'm not quite sure why I'm a cake in cybernetic world.. but why not. The cake is a lie, after all. :) Main issue issue I had is when I'm not in full screen, going up and down also scrolls the page. And when I'm in full screen, controlls don't work (tried on both firefox and chrome). Also, unless I'm missing something, I get stuck on level 2 (going through the portal restarts the level).

Escape from planet Shaduk by fishtaod 2021-10-05T15:54:03Z

Thanks for all your* comments and feedback! Happy you enjoyed it!! We had to drastically scale down to ship something in time for the deadline. Post-jam we are going to tidy things up, clarify the objectives and mechanics, rework a bit the puzzle mechanics and make a couple of levels. (Might also add in our level editor.) See if we can get a more rounded out game experience.

Escape from planet Shaduk by fishtaod 2021-10-06T11:54:49Z

@parttimeindie Thanks! So do we :) Some of the rules need to be tweaked as well, to make the puzzle more challenging. + add some easier step-by-step levels to introduce mechanics. We'll be working on it after the jam. :)

Llamageddon by Dunk 2021-10-05T09:22:06Z

This looks awesome! But I can't get it to work on chrome. I get a exception thrown at me :m:
