Really well made game, the graphics are awesome and really well made, the music is pretty catchy and the mechanic is really nice twist on tetris. I feel like it could have some SFX for the blocks rotating and falling, also some FX for the blocks so they feel juicier when falling and locking in place. Overall a really fun and pretty game.
Perhaps my favorite game of this jam I've played so far! The twists with the glitches make the usual tetris experience so much more hectic, and the graphics are smooth, music doesn't get too repetitive. The leaderboard was a masterful touch, now this is the only thing I want to play. But alas, I need to rate other games so goodbye for now. Awesome entry! Had a lot of fun그림1.png

I like the concept of glitches on the proven gameplay of tetris. Graphics look polished and gameplay is good. Three things would have made it even better: More glitches, more effects and the music was a bit overpowering for the soft graphics. But that's just my opinion. Truly a great job for a game jam!!

Everything was going well until "Blocks have their own mind". Great game, stunning graphics and really fun tetris with extra steps :)
Overall very polished, the visuals are so cute !

Very polished game! It was pleasant to play, I managed to get the highest score  The power-ups make the game a little bit too easy, maybe the speed could increase during the game?

Fun take on Tetris. The art is very polished and the handicaps are original and balanced.
Are you using a bag of pieces or do you generate them randomly? The logo is looking good however, because of the eyes, the "O" kinda looks like a "A", which is awkward.
The "mind of their own" can be frustrating because we cannot anticipate the switches. You could start shaking the piece to signal an imminent movement from the piece.
I did not have enough time to read the bonuses, what about waiting for a click before hiding the pop up?
I had fun, I'm 2nd at the time. :D

Great job, this was a very polished game! I especially loved the graphics. The art style is very modern and cohesive, and the colors work well with each other. The effects are appealing, and the sound really enhances the mood, although volume sliders would have been helpful.
Onto the gameplay. First of all, I played this much for much longer than I anticipated. This was a fun twist to the Tetris game, and I was pining for the top 10 throughout. Alas, I only got to the 19th position. But it really speaks to your implementation of the genre that I played for so long.
Some things got somewhat annoying though. Firstly, the "Mind of their own" glitch was rough to play against. I think it was a handicap that took away from the fun of the game rather than one that added to it. RNG without any indicators or counters can be tough to balance, and I think this one missed the mark.
Other than that, all the other glitches were fun. I'm sure these could be expanded upon even more, leaving you with the basis of a fun and unique entry into the genre. Great job, and I hope you do well in the jam!

@JeanBon There's a bag of pieces, if I understood your question correctly. There's basically 2 buckets that get randomly populated with all the possible pieces and once if uses up one, goes over to the next one and re-fills the first one. This also applies in the glitch that adds extra pieces.

I was always suck at tetris. But omg this is not a jam game. This looks like game developed in an office for couple of weeks. Well done my friend!!
Great Job! Solid tetris style game with a twist! Lol, I am really bad at tetris in general but I like how the blocks develop sentience. Interesting take on the theme!
Global leaderboards are such a nice addition to jam games! Happy to take the top spot on this one so far. It's not the most original game, but it's polished, fits in the theme nicely, and was fun to play. Thanks for putting this together!
Not really original but beautiful ^^

Yay! After 73 games I finally found the first one with online leaderboards! It's always fun to compete with other players. But it looks like many scores seen in @not-as-artistic 's screenshot are missing
The blocky animals were super cute too :heart_eyes_cat:

I quite like the cute characters, and Tetris is always fun. Nothing we haven't seen before, but it did keep me on my toes. I do wish I could spin the blocks both ways, and I wish I had a hard drop button, since sometimes I'd drop the block, and think I'd landed it, and I'd start moving the next block, only to move the first block off from where I wanted it. Improving the audiovisual feedback could help there too. Also happened the other way, where a block landed before I was ready, though that may have also been because of my nemesis "Blocks have a mind of their own"... 😨
This might be a bit of a brag... but I played the game twice and I made it to #1 and #2 on the leaderboard, and I kinda don't want to keep playing because the leaderboard will end up being filled with my name. You should probably consider filtering the leaderboards so it shows just one entry per name.

To be a bit more clear about the leaderboard: The scores get deleted after 2 days. The reason for this was that we looked at some of the other games that had leaderboards and they always get hacked and filled with garbage, so this way it doesn't really stay there long.

Great game. It looks really good and polished for something that was made in 72 hours. The theme was also incorporated nicely.
I thought it would be something usual cause it's tetris BUT it was dandy! I love your logo! I'm obsessed with the design! And these instability components were curveballs for me. Thanks for this experience!
I like the general direction you guys went with this! I love the art! Everything is so POLISHED!
Nicely done!
