I am a real fan (Get it?) of games such as this! Being a long time player of games such as Marble Blast Ultra, I can safely say this is a really well designed experience. I like how you aren't controlling the top directly, but rather have to use another object to control it. Smart Design!
And the way that cat pops up kills me! HAHAHAHA!
Amazing Job!
Good Idea for a game Jam! Short and sweet! It would be nice if the fish bit more quickly though. Overall, very nice job!
I really like the general concept and art, but the game in its current state is just way to difficult. I would recommend shorting the stick you need to balance the ball on, and maybe turning the gravity down.
I had similar issues with my game, so I know the balancing struggle!
Overall, though, with some work, it would be really fun!
This game is a BLAST (Pun intended)! I really enjoyed the mechanics and the way you implemented the fall down to the landing. It was very satisfying to nail the pad!
As an aside, I also created a similar game, and it was really exciting to find someone else who interpreted the jam theme in the same way!
VERY NICELY DONE!!!
Being a engineer is stressful! Nicely done!
Great atmosphere and intriguing concept! I didn't find any way to wake up though. :(
Nicely Done!
One of the best games I have played in this jam! The level of polish and detail in this game is incredible! This could easily be an idle game on an app store and no one would know it was made in a game jam!
Outstanding work! I can't wait for the full release!
First off, the penguins are SOOOO cute! Great job on the art!
The mechanics, however, need some work. I tried my best to defend the penguins for the killer whales, but it seemed like the whales could simply leap out of the water and still get at them.
Still, really good job!
I really liked the art and idea, but sliding down the ladder was just to unforgiving for me. I never been much of a platform player, so maybe that is why I had trouble with the mechanics.
It would be great to have an easy mode where you can't slide off the end of the ladder.
Overall, though, a very polished game! I love the art and animations!
Very cute tower defense game! The art style is unique, a nd the idea of a super enemy who becomes angered when you build gives the game a great twist!
Nicely done!
Cute crow and fun gameplay! The disappearing clouds are genius! However, it would have been nice to have more RNG involved in when clouds disappear. Overall, Great Job!
I really liked the concept! Kind of like a single player among us! However, I found the controls a bit difficult at times. It might be worth having the mini games on their own separate screens, with the main area as the way to get to each. Or maybe zoom out the camera a bit more!
Screenshot 2021-10-19 174658.jpg
You have created quite the addictive experience! It took some real strategy to make sure I could survive every round!
Some of the cards were real curve balls, and I was always surprised with every new round!
You have a real winner on your hands!
Amazing Job!
The best game by FAR that I have played, and maybe even one of the best game of the Jam! This Rocks! The way the every single gun has a descriptive feel, the way kill combos can be stacked up when your gun over heats, its all feels SOOOO good! You have a Doom competitor your hands! Simply Amazing work!
My high score is 9850!
I really liked how you interpreted the theme here! I like how you have to use the instability of the various platforms to win!
Very Nicely Done!
That starting is like the start of a horror game. Best jump scare of the jam! 11/10!
I like the look and feel of the game! The overall concept is very solid! I do like the how the health recharges after every level. Makes the game much more enjoyable!
Nicely done!
I like the idea of a asteroids like game, where you ship does the damage. I like the graphics and, in general, this game would have been right at home on an older Atari console. Very nicely done!
Hits Just Right. 10/10
I really liked the idea, the animations, the audio, and the music slaps. However, I think that when dragging blocks, if you drop or collide a block with the character, the character should die. It makes the game much more interesting in my opinion. At the start of the game, several blocks almost hit the player, and, in my mind, this sets up the block as dangerous. That's just my 2 cents.
Overall, impressive work!
I like the speed of the game, and stacking stuff quickly is always fun! However, it would be nice if the camera zoom out a bit, so the player could see what the stack looks like as it grows. It becomes difficult to gauge the stack once it goes out of frame.
I love the art style and gameplay! Challenging, but rewarding once mastered. Nicely Done!
Nice graphics and controls! Reminds me a great deal of Oolite! I like how the ship feels to move, but the game lacks a sense of objective. I can simply power past turrets using the shift key, or shoot them from across the map with little to no worry.
Still, nice job!
I love the way this glider feels! The animation and mechanics blend together with the the Undertale like graphics for a seamless experience! Amazing Job!
I could see the game becoming a full release!
It took me a bit to figure out the controls, but once I got the hang of it, it was quite a enjoyable experience!
I do have a few suggestions. I found the hammer and heath bars to be very confusing at the start and I could not figure out why I was dying so often. It might be worth just having a single bar and drop the health entirely.
Secondly, I found the dash keys to be awkward. I would suggest using a more commonly used key such as shift.
Overall, though, a really fun experience with great visuals and fun gameplay! Nicely done!
Unstable as it gets! I liked the idea, however, I would be nice to have some sort of onscreen ui element that would indicate how close the cycle is to tipping over!
Nice Job!
I really like the concept! I have never been good at platformers, but I was able to quickly pick up this game and enjoy it! Very fun!
I like the general concept, but I found the time limits brutal. It also would be nice to have some visual feedback when the level ends, instead of a timer. Feels a bit anticlimactic.
This remines me a great deal of Marble Blast Ultra, one of my favorite games of all time! I love the concept!
Nice job!
One of the best games I have played in the jam so far! Great Ideas, flawless execution, and WAYYY to cute art! I really enjoyed my time with this game! You guys should go for a full release!
The graphics are very polished and I like the general idea! However, I think the malware isn't quite aggressive enough, at least for me. I could see a version of this game where the malware alters the rules of the world in mind bending ways.
Overall, though, very nice entry!
It's brutal when all of the blocks go sliding! I really like the chill vide, the color palette, and the general mechanics of the game! So fun!
If I had one suggestion, it would be to make the game a bit easier at the start, like making the point under the board a bit thicker.
I don't know if my score was good or not, but I got to 125!
Again, very nice job!
I really enjoyed the challenges your game presents! The graphics are polished, as is the gameplay!
While I found it VERY hard at times ( I can relate, my entry is hard too!), it is an enjoyable experience, which is a difficult balance to strike! (see what I did there?)
Very Nicely Done!
Did NOT see that coming! I'm glad I didn't read the comments first! Nicely Done!
Thanks, Ryan! I'm glad you found the game fun! I still have work to do with how the player gets feedback from the ship. Regardless, thank you for taking the time to comment and rate!
Thanks, @thatdevhuddy! I do like my games hard! I was able to finish the game, so it is possible!(No dev cheats)
I'm glad you liked that art! I'm happy with how it turned out!
Thank you for checking out and rating my project!
Nice, @subcreation! What was your final score? I spent a lot of time trying to make the UI as clean as possible. I am very pleased with how the final project looks it's really great to hear you like it too!
@mhorth Yes! This first ever Ludum Dare game, and my second only game jam entry!
The ship gets heavier as time goes on to make the game more challenging. The amount of fuel you have gets used more quickly do to the extra weight. Probably should have called that out in the description!
Thank you so much for your kind words! I am really happy with how this game looks and feels and it really makes my day that you enjoyed your time with it!
THANK YOU!
@fluffy-kaeloky I wasn't particularly happy with the music, but I didn't have much time to do better. The best I could do was add a soundtrack mute key. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done.
Starting RNG is very helpful!
I am happy to be a part of the Ludum Dare 49!
@subcreation That's a great score!! I needed to implement a leaderboard or something!
@mateu The music was the hardest part of this project for me. I really didn't want to leave the game without a soundtrack, but I really didn't have time to find a better piece. I did implement a mute soundtrack key (M) so players wouldn't have to listen to the soundtrack if they didn't want to. Not the best solution, I know, but I just didn't have the time.
Reguardless, thank you for playing! I means a lot to me!
42 is the best score yet!
@sarahsprague I happy you enjoyed the soundtrack! I mention in a previous comment that I wasn't able to give the music the attention it needed, but I am really happy you liked it!
The controls took the most time to get right and your description of "Getting a feel" for them was exactly what I was going for!
Thank you taking the time to comment and play!
@bigassopper Thank you! I worked hard on the visuals! I'm glad you liked them!
@ache-games That's what I was going for! Thanks for Playing!
@avareii That is great to hear! I wanted to make the controls intuitive and I'm glad you found them easy to pick up! Thank you for taking the time to play, rate, and comment!
@pashaloban Thank you for checking out my game! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@deltamain 41 attempts! That's the lowest so far! Might I say....Nicely Done?
Thanks for playing!
@marbles I wanted to let the player savor their successful landings, but I think you are correct. It does take too long for the next level to start.
Thank you for your feedback, and for taking the time to play. I appreciate it!
@bridgeonastick I wanted to go for a fairly steep difficultly curve, and I'm glad you enjoyed the challenge! That was my goal! Thank you for checking on and playing my game!
@edevjogos Thank you!
@lelulagames I'm glad you enjoyed that landing!
Thanks for playing!
@kukurammus That's exactly what I was going for! I'm very happy that you enjoyed your time with my game!
Thank you for playing and commenting!
@holyshot Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
@kirby Thank you!
@figueroass27 That's what I was going for! Thank you!
@honey-pony I went with RNG spawn system to try and make the player's experience with the game as varied as possible. I was worried that most players would tire of the game after only a few attempts.
However, I think I make the game too hard in the end. After playing a game solid for 5+ hours, it becomes hard to tell what is a fair balance and what isn't. Based on the feedback I have received thus far, though, the game is way to hard in the later levels for the majority of players. I believe this is mostly due to the lack of fuel and the speed at which the booster falls.
Thank you for your feedback, and for your detailed review! It really helps me out!
@cedric86 Thank you!
@shared Nice to know. I think most players are finding that final section way to challenging.
@schwede SpaceX here we come!
Yes, I think they fired that engineer! What was he thinking???
I'm glad you enjoyed your time with my game!
@romandviski More isn't always better, JM! ;)
@ltyrosine Balancing this game has proven to be a difficult task! I will keep your feedback in mind! Ideally, a future release with have a less punishing learning curve.
Who knows? Maybe I will go for a mobile release if the final ratings are favorable!
Thank You for taking the time to play and rate!
@bunnybones I wanted to reduce player frustration with restarts, as this game requires multiple attempts on basically every level. With regards to the GUI, my approach is to integrate as much as possible into the game world itself. It just makes the game look a lot cleaner, which I personally like. I am glad you liked it as well!
Thank you for playing!
@aerloth I wanted to create a system that allowed players to see when it was safe to land the rocket, and it good to know that it is working!
The "How not to land an orbital rocket booster" video was the inspiration for the game!
I really wanted to use a similar music track, but I was unable to find a copyright free version in time! :(
If the game is well rated I might go for further development and then the crashes will be extra satififying!
Thank you for playing and rating! Your feedback really helps me improve!
@cyrille That is a very respectable score! Nicely Done!
Thank you for taking the time to play and rate!
@emparans That was my goal!
Thank you for rating and commenting on my game this late in the jam!!!
I never thought I would see a mashup between a rhythm game and a farming sim game, but you guys have pulled it off! Nicely done!
All I can think of while I play is "Pull Up", "PULL UP!"
Nicely done!
I really like the graphics and gameplay! Nicely done!
This is a really interesting concept! The way you have to balance all the different tasks is genius!
If you went with a art style like Papers Please and set this game in a soviet era country, it would be even better!
Very nicely done!
I love the art and flipping cards is SOOOO satisfying! The music and art direction are impeccable! Sound design as well!
However, I can't help but feel the player is robbed of some agency by simply picking a random card. It would be cool if a card would trigger a specific mini game, with the mini game affecting the levels.
Regardless, great job!
The art direction is AMAZING and the gameplay is very fun! With some fine tuning and some more levels, this could become a full release! Nicely Done!
Screenshot 2021-10-19 134240.jpg I have the high score now!!!!
Very fun! I could see this being a great idle game on the play store! I never thought this game would be this addictive!
Nicely done!
I really like how you have balanced the various mechanics of this platformer! Very innovative!
Nicely Done!
The art is good and the idea is interesting. Nice!
However, I found the unpredictability of changes in direction and speed of the car hard to deal with. While the theme is unstable, and this game fits that theme quite nicely, it would be a more enjoyable experience if the game somehow alerted the player a change was coming.
My suggestion would be to have the driver of the car pass out for a brief period of time so that the player would loose control of the car. The car won't be as unstable, but it will simply drive right into an oncoming mine. This would force the player to be more strategic about how they drive.
That's just my 2 cents.
This is one of the best games I have played in this jam thus far, and I have played quite a few! Exceptional work!
The graphics are smooth and crisp, conveying just enough info to make the game very engaging! The UI is intuitive and easy to use, a critical part of a game like this!
The story is riveting, the stakes high, and the the various actions are quite meaningful.
If I could improve one thing, it would be to have more random encounters, like the ambush, just with other types of events. Something to consider adding if you go for a full release!
Overall, one of the best games in Ludum Dare 50 and one I will return to play again!
Amazing Job!
This game is quite fun to play and very challenging, but in a good way! I found myself on the edge of my seat waiting for each new mechanic as it came in. It reminds me a great deal of the puzzles in The Witness.
Honestly, this is one of the best games I have played so far!
Great work!
I got to stage 24!
When the creator of Inscryption is impressed, you know you have created a masterpiece. 10/10
I have encountered these before, but never have they been so much fun! Great Entry!
I think the concept is a killer (get it?) and I really like the idea of a meta commentary on the Tamagotchi genre of game. Perhaps adding a few more totally pointless tasks would make the game a bit more enjoyable, or less "enjoyable" depending on how you look at it....
I must say, though, that guilt tripping players into keeping this game open is genius! And the little character's death is definitely inevitable!
Overall, great work!
THIS IS SPARTA!
My score was 64
Not sure why arrows count as kills but still cool!
Great job!
@dorblin7z7 Ah, that makes more sense! Thanks for the clarification!
The scope is very impressive, and the art is polished! I like the core concept of the game, however, I did find some of the level design to be confusing at times. Overall, though, great work!
Where is my water? More like, where is my FLOOD! The fluid dynamics you were able to achieve on the Pico8 platform is just insane! Nicely done!!
[Screenshot 2022-04-04 135233.png](///raw/a9f/e3/z/4aed7.png)
First off, the art is simply incredible and really does a great job of conveying the atmosphere and the story of the game. The tutorial also was much appreciated as it fully explained the aim of the game. I can't tell you how many games I have played this point that did a poor job of explaining their controls and back story: the complete and comprehensive tutorial was much appreciated!
I didn't quite beat the high score! Screenshot 2022-04-05 093027.png
Overall, I am very impressed with the graphics, sound, and general design of this game! Excellent work!
Super Cute and fun to play! That penguin is soooo adorable! Great work!
I like the mechanics and I LOVE the art! It is a really satisfying game to play! Great job !
This is a amazing game! As someone who is addicted to typing speed sites like 10fastfingers, this was a FABLOUS game that I would totally play on a daily basis! Excellent job!
Humor is on point!
I really like the idea of shooting the timer! Very fun!
I like the concept, but the game lags terribly for me, and I tried both versions. I'm not sure what's up, as my hardware is decent. And I used chrome too... Overall, I like the concept and I wish I could have enjoyed it more.
@adrenallen Why didn't I think of that! :face_palm: It is working now! Thanks for the quick feedback! I wonder if something is just configured wrong in my installation of chrome...
I really like the water physics and the way the sticks of dynamite work. It is very satisfying to blow rocks up!
Nice work!
That escalated quickly... Screenshot 2022-04-04 160916.png
Great graphics and fun gameplay! This game is a winner!
Nicely done!
Accurate Farming Simulator. Work like crazy and STILL come up short. Very well done!
The style is unique the the platforming is fun!
This is a great game. Now I hate ants, too!
My score was
Screenshot 2022-04-05 093530.png
I like the concept, however, as others have pointed out here, I am not quite sure how it connects to the theme other than you inevitably crash. Delay the inevitable crash?
This was very unexpected and enjoyable! Nicely Done!
Funny Idea and I like the concept!
However, I got stuck in the Crab Wars mini-game and could not exit. Not sure why...
The memes, though, are side splitting!
Nice game!
@sebastianscaini The web version on Itch.io. I would suggest adding a dedicated button to exit the mini game that is onscreen at all times.
Quite fun to play! The graphics are also on point! And I am loving the color palette! Great work! Also, I am proud of the fact that I am in the top 3% of all players (At least right now!) Screenshot 2022-04-04 193749.png
This game is like a Mini-Minecraft!
This was quite fun to play! I really enjoyed out pacing the various monsters. This could be a great mobile game!
Nicely Done!
Honestly, this could be a full release right now! This is a complete game ready to go!
Everything from the art style, to the way paintings are displayed, to the music, everything is just perfect!
I have played over 80 sum games at this point, and this is, by far, the most feature complete of them all!
I predict, and this game deserves, to place at very top of this Jam!
I even made my logo in game!
Screenshot 2022-04-04 223602.png
This game is such an enjoyable and relaxing experience! Quite the accomplishment!
10/10
I like the general concept! Riding waves feels very smooth! Nicely done!
The art is absolutely fabulous. I can not believe you guys created a game that looks this good in such a short period of time. The way the hills look, the sky, all of it....just incredible!
This is certainly one of the BEST looking games I have played so far, and I have played quite a few games! Exceptional work!
Also, the music slaps!
I love the art direction and the concept for this game. I really enjoyed playing it!
I'm also 3rd world wide and I take pride in that accomplishment! Great Job!
I LOVE the graphics! Really nice job!
I really like the art!
I love the graphics and the general concept, but I found the controls unintuitive.
Overall, though, Nice job!
I like the art! The little penguin is really CUTE!
There is a VIP Paradise? Whatttt? Reminds me a great deal of the boss fights in Undertale. Nicely done!
The graphics are specular! I found the controls took a bit of getting used to, but once I figured them out I was good to go!
I am also a Construct dev, so it is always fun for me to play other games made with the platform!
Nicely done!
I love the atmosphere, art, and general style of this game. It is very pleasing to look at, and the animation really kicks it up to eleven! Nice work!
Great job! I really like the art direction!
This is a great game for your first ever Ludum Dare! However, the tutorial takes way too much time, and the text is very slow. It would be better if you allowed the player to skip or speed up the text by clicking.
Additional, the rules and the time left should always be clearly visible on screen. I found it very annoying when I could not see how much time I had left.
Regardless of the issues I had, this game is very impressive and fun to play! It reminds me a great deal of Papers Please. Great work!
The art style is very pleasing and the gameplay is fun! The game is also a fabulous fit for the theme as paper airplanes will inevitably fall to the ground! Great Job!
I really like the graphics and the way the ship feels to use. However, I don't really understand what the objective is, and I keep dying once I get even a glimpse of an enemy ship. You might want to zoom the camera out a bit sooner so the player has time to react.
The art is very good and the game is quite intuitive and fun! I don't quite understand the storyline, but it doesn't really matter, the game is just a BLAST!
Nicely Done!
The concept is very enjoyable and balancing all the different levels is quite challenging, but fun! Also, as others have mentioned, the BABA is You art style is on point! Great work!
I really like the way this game looks! The pixel graphics and the CCTV camera look really suit this game well! Great work!
This game the BEST entry I have played in Ludum Dare 50 thus far! The attention to detail, the atmosphere, and graphics, everything just comes together to create a completely mesmerizing experience! I can't get enough!
Fabulous entry!
Enjoyable and fun! Slicing enemies was very enjoyable! Nice job! Screenshot 2022-04-04 192451.png
This game has a certain irresistible charm in the way that it looks! Everything from the trees to the cute little pigeons all have such a cute look to them!
However, I found the controls to be confusing and difficult at times. It might be worth it to make a graphic that explains how to control the game in more detail.
Overall, nicely done!
I really liked the double jump and the general feel of movement in the game. The art, too, was impressive for such a short time period. Nicely done!
Game link leads to a 404 page. You might want to update it!
Quite funny and cute! I really liked the idea of the team being ACTUALLY BURNT OUT (Like on fire). Nicely done!
What a great idea! I love it! I can't wait to see how many times the bomb blows up by the end of the jam!
@roughskin @kazuren Thanks for the heads up about the slow controls! I am uploading a build that will fix that issue right now!
@yokin I just balanced the game so it is a bit more interesting early on! Thanks for the feedback!
@peachtreeoath Thank you for writing such a detailed review!
I put a lot of thought into the construction of this game, and I am glad you noticed!
In regard to watching the chaos unfold, I wanted to implement a feature where a player gets to watch a real-time playback of their run at the end.
This real-time playback would allow the player to see all of their cool dodges and close calls over the course of their run. However, Construct 3 does not have good support for such a feature, so the idea had to be dropped. I would still like to implement some sort of feature like that if I go for a full release.
Thank you again for your detailed feedback!
@peachtreeoath Exactly!
@proxy-games Thank you for your in-depth review! You are completely correct when it comes to your breakdown of Pixel-Panic.
I wanted to craft a simple, yet complex game, with deceptively easy mechanics paired with frenetic gameplay that is hard to master. This is partly why I spent a fair part of the jam crafting an interactive tutorial, as I did not want players to be confused by the core mechanics of the game.
Ideally, players should be comfortable with the controls, so they can focus on the action.
You also nailed why the graphics are so simple. I found that extremely simple graphics make this game manageable. With more complicated textures, the game becomes graphical overwhelming, and unfun to play.
Overall, your breakdown of Pixel-Panic is completely accurate and I do not think I could have explained why the game works better myself!
Thank you again for taking the time to write such an in-depth review!
@javasaurus Thank you for playing it on stream! I really enjoyed watching your coverage of other games and the chill atmosphere for your stream! You have earned a new follower here!
@stefan-laimer 54.6 nanoseconds is a VERY good time! Nicely done!
I really wanted to reduce frustration with additional runs of the game, as it happens ALOT. The “one-more-round” feeling was exactly what I was going for!
I was not able to implement an online leaderboard in time, which is unfortunate as that would have made the game actually competitive.
Thank you for your detailed feedback!
@yokin I agree, but I did not have time to fully playtest a limit on the slowmo mode. It makes gameplay a bit more complicated to balance, so I left it out. If I decide to develop the game further, I would put a limit in for sure!
@augustcoder High praise indeed! I work in Construct 3 and I am considering publishing an Android version to the Play Store after the jam if Pixel-Panic has a high final ranking.
Also, don't forget to drink your milk and Wishlist Carlson on Steam!
@faceless Thank you for your detailed breakdown!
I agree with both of your points. I ran out of time in this jam to implement some of the more useful features, mostly due to extensive playtesting, as I was trying to get the difficultly curve just right, which proved to be very challenging.
I originally planned to have a complete shop in the game where upgrades, such as a radar, pulse blast, and movement indicator were all unlockable, among other cool goodies. However, as will all game jams, it is very easy to over scope, so I had to drop the shop entirely.
If I go for a future release, I plan on adding the shop back into the game!
Thank you again for your very detailed review!
The atmosphere was incredible and I really liked the how everything felt to control! I would say that it might be better to just show the asteroids that have fuel onscreen by implementing a scan feature that will reveal the fuel content of nearby asteroids at the cost of some fuel every time it is used.
I also love the Atari graphic and general art direction! Fabulous work!
Very nicely done!
"WOOP WOOP" THAT'S THE SOUND OF THE POLICE!
Simply an amazing entry. The juice this game has is just great! From the sound effects, to the animation, just amazing!
I also really liked the combos that are possible!
Seriously, consider doing a full mobile release!
Overall, just amazing work!
Losing to this boss is inevitable!
I like the art direction! I, too, am a fan of minimalistic graphics! Nicely done!
Reminded me a great deal of Club Penguin. Nice!
I really like the run and gun nature of this game! I also really like how juicy the shooting feels as well! High Marks!
Asteroids? More like Earthstroids!
I really enjoyed how the game felt to play and the way it looks! Nicely done!
I like the idle nature of this game. Would be a cool mobile release! Nice work!
Ummm, how exactly do you play?
The art direction is crazy good and the animation is really on-point!
However, I found the uncontrollably of the time mechanic to be frustrating and unfun. But, I am not much of a platform player myself, so I am not the best judge.
Overall, though, the game is polished and very feature complete!
Great Job!
Those pig sound effects are quite funny!
I like the idea and I REALLY like the art. The music, too, adds a fallout vibe to the the game. Great Job!
The movement is really fun! Nicely down!
I like the concept! Nicely done! However, I am not sure why shooting a nuke doesn't just make it explode...
As others have said, this is a very easy game. I personally like my games waaaay to difficult, so I am not the best judge of difficulty. However, I still think I might be a good idea to add a few more enemy types to spice up gameplay. I do like the graphics, though. Good job!
Screenshot 2022-04-04 162720.png
My finger is tired! Nice job!
Really Fun concept and Idea! I love the graphics! This game deserves WAYYYY more votes! Great Work!
I don't know why, but I got Star Wars vibes from this game. Great Job!
I really love the art direction and the concept of this game! But as others have mentioned, the movement is a bit slow for my taste. Overall, though, nice job!
I like the idea, but you may need to work on the random function. I got the same game 7 times in a row, which was a bit frustrating. Overall though, the mini games were polished and fun! Great Job!
Ohhhh, that makes more sense! Nice! I guess I am just good at the game LOL
A really unique way to drive a car! I love the mechanics! You guys have an excellent puzzle game here! I would love to see this concept developed into a full release!
This game is a blast! The art, the music, the gameplay! Just so good! Great Job! Screenshot 2022-10-04 160023.png
Really love the art and the gameplay direction! Great work!
I am not much of a puzzle match player, but what you have created here is a solid concept! Nicely done!
I like the concept! Nicely done!
Papers Please, The Karen Edition
or
Manager Please! (A "Papers Please!" Experience)
I love the art and the satisfying controls! You have left me hungry for more! Nicely Done!
Beautiful art! Great Job!
Interesting take on Tetris, almost like Tetris: Big Picture Mode! Nicely done!
Really Great Time! I loved playing this game on stream! Wonderful art! Good Stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeMwgb2e6ac
This game gave me major Cuphead vibes! And just like Cuphead, this game provides a challenge, yet fair gameplay loop! Everything from the art, to the gameplay, to the music is just right! Amazing work! Clock Caper gets the highest marks from me! Screenshot 2022-10-05 182542.png
I love the graphics and puzzles! I just suck at solving them, so this game was very difficult for me! Overall, great concept and great visuals! Good work!
Really great concept! Reminds me a great deal of Papers Please / L.A. Noire. Nicely done!
I really like the JUICE this game has! Killing enemies is really quite satisfying!
A very interesting inversion of Tetris! As others have mentioned, being able to rotate the pieces would be even better! The art, the music, the gameplay, all very well done! Great job!
I really like the gameplay, but I found the fact that I would die at even the slightest touch to an enemy to be mildly annoying. It might be worth adding in a heart system so a player doesn't lose all of their progress to one enemy. Overall, though, the concept is very solid and managing various enemy wave while trying to keep the clock going to very fun. Nicely done!
Very, very interesting concept! I would love to see a full version of this idea! Wonderful work!
I love the art and the music! Great work! However, the game can be a bit challenging at times. Overall, though, not bad!
Very clean and clever! Nicely done!
By far and away THE BEST GAME I have played thus far! You may have started with Snake as a basic foundation, but you have REALLY improved the concept! The art, the animations, the sound, the gameplay, all TOP LEVEL! I could easily see this game being commercially successful! Please, go for a full release! Outstanding work!
Just change that logo. It's not doing you any favors. I almost passed on playing this game because of it!
This is probably the best game I have played in this jam so far! The art, the gameplay, the sound, everything is just a total blast! This game ROCKS! AMAZNG WORK!
Really great concept! I never knew what was coming next! I enjoyed this one! Great Job!
Nice game! I liked the art direction and general design! Great work!
The polish is just amazing with this one! Ready for a full release! Unreal work, you guys!
The art and the general design of this game is incredible! However, I did have trouble understanding how to play at first. But once I took the time to really read the prompts, I got it. This is an a great game! Nicely done!
Slinging around planets feels SOOOO good! Great Job!
That was a total blast! Highest marks from me! Screenshot 2022-10-07 000158.png
Quite fun! I also really like the art direction and style! This rocks! Nicely done!
Very fun game! Screenshot 2022-10-18 140540.png I think it would be nice if the player could see when the weapons will switch. I also feel like the game becomes way to difficult in later waves for a single player, but it was obviously mean to be played with friends, so that makes sense. Overall, a very good time! Nicely done!
I like the concept, but it might be better if each bit of garbage had the key that needed to be typed on it, instead of relying on player to memorize which key to press. Overall, though, good work!
The itch.io link is dead!
I don't think I have ever seen a game where shooting reduces visibility. It seems like such a good idea, that I can't believe I have never seen a game that did it before. This is an excellent concept! Very well done!
Very cool platformer! Nicely done!
At first I didn't understand why the ship moved so slowly, but after playing the first REAL level, I got it. This is quite an innovative concept, and I think it has quite a bit of potential. Very, very nicely done!
Not working.... Screenshot 2022-10-05 134631.png
Great Concept! I could see this being a very successful release if additional items were introduced! Nicely Done!
This game is insanely fun to play, especially using the space Katana! However, this feeling is lessened once all my weapons are gone through no fault of my own. I like the idea of weapons failing; however, I think it would be better if a player could gain weapons back if they performed well within the game. Overall, though, great job!
The art style and direction are CRAZY GOOD. Nicely Done!
Just a heads up, I don't see any text when I click the How to Play button. Screenshot 2022-10-06 162324.png
Great Art!
This game has the JUICE! Nicely done!
This was WAAAAAY more intense then I thought it was going to be! Everything from the art to the gameplay direction is amazing! Excellent, excellent job!
This is a BLAST to play! The controls are tight and precise! If I had one suggestion, some sort of health bar or visual indication of the state of the ship's health would be very helpful. Overall, very good job! I had fun with this one! Screenshot 2022-10-05 132641.png
I guess you could say, these cats multiply like Rabbits?? Very nice job!
Funny Stuff! I love the dating sim aspect. I could see a very funny game dolphin dating sim where you play as a shark in disguise. It would be very, very funny. Nice job, @knipsch!
AMAZING WORK! This game reminds me a great deal of In Other Waters. Highly recommend! Nicely done!
@jonathan-vinesar Thanks for the heads up!
@raphiell Thanks for the feedback, I will keep that in mind!
@kenzie If you want to give it a try, it should be fixed now!
@arkinrev Thanks for the heads up, I'll check it out. I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
@johnnysix I didn't telegraph this to the player, but you only have to destroy the missiles in the center part of the screen; Missiles on the very edges don't count towards a full wipe bonus, and don't need to be hit. In the future, only missiles that count towards the bonus will be highlighted in red.
@hellsquirrel You are very welcome! I am blown away by your thoughtful review! It means the world to me that you enjoyed your time with Impact-Effect!
I very much want to continue developing this project, and I would love to go for a full release, but Impact-Effect would need to place well in the jam for me to justify the time and effort it would take to make a full release a reality. Fingers crossed!
Thank you again for taking the time to rate, play, and write this uplifting review of Impact-Effect! I truly appreciate it!
@ukulelefury At what point in the game was your mouse freezing?
@doot I just updated the itch.io page to have a full-screen button, which should solve most of your issues! I did want lasers to have more feedback when contacting the player, but I ran out of time to implement such a system. A future release would implement a better way of telegraphing damage from lasers to the player. Thank you for playing, rating, and leaving such detailed feedback! I greatly appreciate it!
Amazing design, you guys! Absolutely crazy! Great work!
This is a very clever, in my opinion, take on Tetris. It has the same vibe but in a new and fresh way! The graphics are on point, and the music is very chill. If I had a suggestion to make, it would be nice to have a tutorial; however, the gif here helped me to understand what I needed to do. Overall, very nice job!
Looks really good, but I had a hard time understanding when enemy types would switch. Overall, though, great work, especially with the art direction!
@mateu I did not, I will give it a try with some audio on!
Very fun! Reminds me a great deal of Stacklands! Very nicely done!
Yeah, I don't get paid enough for this! Great work!!!
Clever Idea, I really like the concept of a card game where the goal is to cheat! Nicely Done! Great Integration with the theme!
I really like the concept of this game, and some of the prompts are extremely funny! I can see the care that went into each one! However, for my taste, the prompts are simply too many and too fast, and I can barely read one, before two more expire. I would suggest making the pace of this game just a bit slower! Overall, though, amazing concept. Reminds me a great deal of Before Your Eyes.
Very fun! I could see myself getting into this game! The knife throwing is very, very fun! Great Job!
The little guy's legs move so fast! Gameplay is fun and Music slaps! I love it! Great work!
I love the variety! The gameplay is always switching up in very fun and unexpected ways! Great work!
Amazing art direction, just incredible for a game jam, or any game in general. For my taste, however, the game is borderline unfinishable due to the unforgiving game mechanics. Overall, though, great work!
Zeus be angry
The graphics and concept are insane with this one! I really love the idea of this game, but I think more mechanics need to be added in. Going to point is fun for a bit, but the player needs more things to do beyond that. Overall, though, amazing work! Screenshot 2022-10-07 125611.png
I like the art and the general concept of this game! I also really like the concept of changing the player's available actions every ten seconds. Great Job!
This is a really fun concept! I enjoyed packing up the boxes and getting those sweet points! Really great job with this one!
Very fun! I really enjoyed my time with this one! Great Job!
I don't see a link to play the game. Looks very cute though!
I love the art, but the camera seems to have trouble in some sections which can ruin the gameplay at times. But, overall, nice work!
I really enjoyed this one! The second to last level (I think) was really quite challenging and required some really efficient use of the 10 seconds! The controls are tight and the level design very intriguing. It reminds me a great deal of Echoshift. Nicely done!
Overall, amazing work! I really enjoyed this simple but challenging concept! Great pacing as well! Wonderful Job! Screenshot 2022-10-06 160247.png
Really, really fun gameplay and satisfying controls! Great art, great music, great all around! I found myself doing run after run! So much fun! Wonderful work with this one! Screenshot 2022-10-07 002331.png
Simply amazing work, you guys! I love how you took a very simple concept and ran with it! The Final Product is polished to perfection! The art, the music, the animation, and the gameplay, all perfect! This could easily be a full release on mobile! This gets the highest marks from me! Outstanding Work!

You may want to look at your embedding, it seems a bit broken at the moment
