Wow! I love how polished the art looks (even if it's simple), and getting the chain explosions is tremendously satisfying. I couldn't get past the triangley (boss?) enemy, but this felt like a diamond in the rough. I'd definitively update the header image if I were you, I was very surprised with the graphics when I booted it up.

One thing I would like is a mechanic that allows you to survive a hit now and then, since I'd die several times, not know what hit me, and feel rather confused about it.

PS. I think some things are frame rate dependent, running it in chrome (with like 5 fps) gives me 0 range on my attacks, but firefox (where it's smooth) gives me just a tiny bit more range than the exploding enemies have.

Was there while RookRules twitched, and played at the same time. Very polished game, simple : I notice tiny animation, every effects, shadows, everything is nice. Only the font is not at the level of the design. But great game made in 48h!

Nice game! I liked the art direction and general design! Great work!

Really good entry, the whole game plays nicely, fits the theme in a smooth and challenging way. I like it a lot!

What a super cool entry! One of my favourites so far for sure. The scaling of the enemies seems super well thought through, especially for the triangle enemy. I only wish the music was a bit more in your face, since the punches seem super "punchy" :D

I played this one on stream last night! unfortunately the VOD got muted, so no link :(

this was really nice. The graphics are super crisp, and all of the animations are fluid. It all feels very consistent and minimal, which I'm a big sucker for :p

I also liked the music, it made me feel like a robot (am i playing a robot? still not sure haha)

Very nice game with smooth and juicy gameplay!

The one improvement I could see is enemy visibility, once many of them appear on the screen it becomes quite hard to distinguish what's where. Maybe more colors could have helped with this? But the simplistic color sheme has its appeal as well

Good job!

Love it! Nice balance between the player's ability upgrade and time, the diffculty curve is so wonderful and the gameplay is so fantastic!

I love games like vamire survivours. And this game have pretty good graphic and audio. But also 10sec enemy buff add vareity at your gameplay. It's really good game.

super polished and nice to play! great entry, especially for compo!!

lepoulet 2022-10-14 16:46

Really polish and consistent work. Everything fit well together. Only one people for all this work is incredible.

batkoi 2022-10-14 16:50

Nice game but it takes awhile to level up. To get the first upgrade you need to kill 1 enemy and to get the second you need to kill like 12. A smoother curve would be nice. And I don't know how I feel about that forward push during an attack, seems like you just starting a game with a debuff. Still good though. My best score is 1:28.

Fun game, the controls feel smooth, the gameplay is juicy and satisfying, and the difficulty curve feels just right. Good work!

This is so good! Really well polished, so much JUICE and a great way to use the theme with the enemies growing stronger.

I love the mechanic where you move toward the hit. It’s frustrating in the best way and makes for some interesting risk/reward with such a chaotic impulse to movement. Having an upgrade to stop this bit of chaos makes a lot of sense and it's a good upgrade. It’s such a good upgrade that it's mechanically beneficial for the player to take it, but then the player has a less choices to make surrounding their core verbs. The game does get difficult and there’s lots of enemies to focus on so an argument could be made that removing allows for less load on the player later in the game. But I think having a mechanically beneficial upgrade that strips the player of a more decision rich action set is one that players will always game themselves out of having. Instead of the upgrade getting rid of it maybe it could turn it into something useful, like a side dash with i frames when you hit an enemy or the dash does damage on impact. The game is still really really great without the forward push, just thought it’s often the kind of abrasive mechanic that some players hate and wanted to let you know that I thought it was a great addition.

I played this way longer than I should have, great work!

very fun game got 23 minutes in would have liked it to keep giving upgrades even though it might be difficult to balance but it would be better than after 10 minutes, try to see when you make a silly mistake. well done :)

Quite awesome graphics and the animations are butter smooth.
