The look really reminds me of Baba Is You, and I love it! It is a really neat idea, but I would have appreciated a little bit more information on what the icons mean and what is actually going on. Great entry, though!

Good sound design, and the simple but solid animations add style. The overall vibe reminds me of the really old arcade games, which is cool. I like how the game boundary expands into the unknown. Really makes you worried about your Rose bud-dy and what might be hiding beyond the walls.
It was a little hard to follow what was going on at first - lots of icons & the small screen made it difficult to discern what I was accomplishing, what I was supposed to be focusing on, and why I would take damage. Maybe the description could have used more p-rose to explain the mechanics.
I've gotten the Beast fully evolved a couple times but can't seem to hit the win condition before my Rose gets overwhelmed. The only times I achieved Victory was when I used the food to surround the Rose as protection since enemies couldn't path through it:

Last but not beast, your game seems fairly well polished, nice job. I only encountered one or two pretty small bugs. If you move the Beast into the destination of an enemy during enemy movement (only a few frames allow this), the enemy and the Beast will end up sharing the same tile. My only guess is that the Beast's destination tile is empty-checked while the enemy's movement is yielding in your Moving coroutine and the enemy hasn't reached the tile yet due to the lerp movement delay.
Interesting lore and nice entry to the jam.
Very Fun Game! I love the graphics and the concept! Great Work! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeMwgb2e6ac
