Very cool concept. good work!
Nice original way to evolve shoot'em up gameplay, the game feel great and well balanced. I was not able to make more than **270** score :v:

Really clever take on the geometry wars archetype mixed with the theme. Well done!
I like that the bullets collide with the outline of the numbers. That makes the combat feel a lot more interesting than shooting the equivalent sized blocks would be, and the particles on impact make killing time even more fun than killing enemies! Also lets you do cool things with the interaction of enemies blocking numbers. Fun little shooter! This jam was my first time using Godot, so I'll definitely be checking out your project for ideas on implementing better enemies and particle effects. Great work!
Beat the 270 guy with 277! A perfect example of really polished simple graphics, with a unique and engaging gameloop. Loved shooting the timer, however shooting the minute or even the tens felt pretty bad. Also the way the spawns work seems odd, sometimes it felt like a lot was spawning when I just restarted compared to just began.

@bucketh3ad That was my first time using Godot also, so I don't know if you can use the project as a good example on how to do stuff :)
@Phil-c Aaaah your comment made me realise that there might be a bug in the enemy spawner. I schedule regularly small difficulty spikes and I probably don't reset it after a new game which mean you can start with more enemies than expected. Thanks for pointing it out!
This is great, extremely clever take on a "time attack" arcade style game. I was able to add a minute to the clock in the early game, but then shifted my focus to the +10 and +1 in the latter half. Feels very inspired by Geometry Wars, the art style is super slick. Once the Kraft Singles start populating the center you have to do some serious space management. My high score was 715. Very well done.
I really like the idea of shooting the timer! Very fun!
Cool idea with the timer! And very clean polished presentation, and it has nice variation of enemies. The BGM and SFX fit very well. Me personally, I have very difficult time playing with keyboard and mouse, I am a controller guy, so I did not get very far, even shoot'em'ups/ twin stick shooter are my absolute favourite genre.
Highscore of 249! Cool music and cool game :guardsman:
Really liked your game. The game mechanics were very innovative and the graphics suited really well.
Nice game. Shooting the timer felt almost fourth wall breaking. Really clever and the game is addictive as well. Excellent!
Very simple but enjoyable concept! I agree with the fourth wall comment just above, clever idea! The realization is neat, nice graphics and sound, congrats!
Wow such a clever idea! Perfect with the theme, looks great sounds great and everything is so smooth :D One of the best submissions I've played!

A straight forward idea and execution and great in all its parts. The balancing/pacing is also quite spot on which I really enjoyed.
very well usage of the theme i think it is very innovative and i dig you gave us unlimited ammo. i love not limitin the player! it opens up many possibilities to create our own gameplans!
Nice space shooter. I had 444 points then time expired. Near the end it seemed like I could just keep shooting the last second number and keep going for a while.
Good work! I liked the smooth controls and the simple but creative artstyle. Also it is a good take on the topic, I had fun playing!

Nice ! like this game. The idea to include the timer as part of the game is quite unique and innovative. The idea of adding one minute to the timer is enticing but definitely not worth. The game is surprisingly polished as well.
Good job on the submission.
Good graphics, controls and sound. Having to shoot the clock to get more time is a nice touch. Great entry.
This was a solid entry, felt really original and I think it was a clever integration of delaying the inevitable with the shooter game mechanics. Having the number completion value decay over time helped with the strategy - I wonder if some item you could collect to halt decay for a period or something could be interesting.
Fun little shooter with a twist. Really nice Compo entry.
