LD42 — Running out of space

Plag by OiledOwl 2018-08-30T19:21:27Z

I really liked the visual effects in that game! Loved the fact that you implemented them not only in the game, but also in transitions. Really tied the whole thing together. I'd have loved to restart a level after getting caught, I got tired of seeing the first two levels quickly. Otherwise, nice. :)

LD45 — Start with nothing

Start with no dice by Listonos 2019-10-15T19:31:28Z

I really liked the game. The genre fit really well with the theme and I had fun building my dice. It took me a while to understand the concept of empty dice sides and the trashcans, but after that, all went well and I won in the second round.

HOBO RAMPAGE by Ntimi 2019-10-08T00:12:46Z

Absolutely, they are, you're right. Thanks for the feedback, @philarmon. :) We would have loved to add a hint that you can beat them by attacking them from behind, but we didn't get to that in time. We'll definitely work on that guy when we make a new version. :D

Damned Souls - Raising Blood by homeworld 2019-10-08T12:15:51Z

Really cool style, mixing pixel art and 3d. I liked different weapon types and the concept of gathering a huge pool of blood to take you upwards. Great interpretation of the theme. :)

JUST A GHOST LOOKING FOR ITS BODY by smileyface 2019-10-08T12:41:37Z

I loved it! Had a great length and the levels were challenging enough to always be on edge. The controls were a bit unusual, but after a while I really had a grasp on how to navigate that invisible character through the level. The minimalstic style fit well and the last room was a fitting end. :)

Terra Nil - Reclaim the Wasteland by vfqd 2019-10-29T13:21:13Z

I really loved this game. Saw it beeing featured on a youtube channel and decided to check it out right away - and it was worth it, I had much fun building waterways and filling the land with greenery, bringing it back to life. :)

warm by Rs11s21n 2019-10-08T00:23:56Z

Really beautiful background image with a nice color scheme. :) And great music, too. I could not really make all the things that were shown behind me, only the soda. And every time I opened a menu, the music got really messed up. I did get a lot of money, though, by clicking repeatedly on the customer. That was nice. :D Fit the theme nicely. ^^

warm by Rs11s21n 2019-10-08T00:44:10Z

@rs11s21n about 300, I guess. ^^

Beyond the Veil by Wolfrug 2019-10-08T11:56:08Z

Really nice game. I loved the mood and discovering the mystery of my death piece by piece. That was a great interpretation of the theme. :)

Nun in the Chamber by BrokenMirrorMedia 2019-10-08T13:02:40Z

Nice game, definitely challenging. Got a bit too hard for me after a while, but I had fun throwing my gun around and punching all enemies to death. ^^ Great idea to start with no ammo.

Mister Nothing by Assaf 2019-10-08T00:07:02Z

Sweet main character animations. I love the cute and cuddly look of those. :)

I didn't get to the end of the game, sorry - but you had me hooked for a while.

I started with a bit of missing orientation, the right side looked dangerous, so I jumped down the left - where the spikes were already waiting for me. So I went right - and as soon as I understood that the objects can be used to unlock paths in the game, I became really interested. I love those exploration games. I had fun exploring the right hand side of the cave, floating on the water, climbing up walls or dashing over pits.

The only thing that made me give up was the saw right next to the shop; I lost all my coins many times to that thing, so I had to collect all of those and die again to get the objects I wanted... That got a bit too frustrating after a while.

But apart of that - nice game. Would have loved to explore it a bit more, maybe I'll check it out again later. :)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Bureaucrazy by Ntimi 2020-10-05T18:50:55Z

@thecze Sorry, we misclicked, that was an error. Shame on us. >.<

Bureaucrazy by Ntimi 2020-10-06T13:27:36Z

@wakobu Thanks! That scene was in effect the inspiration for the whole idea. I love that story. And yes, we made all the art - three guys were working on it, on backgrounds, interface and characters. :)

Bureaucrazy by Ntimi 2020-10-08T05:05:41Z

@dotsquare That’s strange, I thought Safari should be able to handle it. Sorry about that. I have no Mac, but tried it on my iPhone, iOS Safari works. Chrome or Firefox should be working too.

Bureaucrazy by Ntimi 2020-10-08T05:11:18Z

@evgeniya-zapolnova Oh yes, there’s an ending. Not sure where you are stuck, but my guess is that you have to

!> bring Mrs. Fudge a coffee

to progress.

Animal_Valley_V2080 by WeAthFolD 2020-10-07T18:45:59Z

Oh wow. I enjoyed that experience. At the start of the game, I was just wandering around and doing the quests - until I slowly realized that there was a bit more to this game than at the first glance. Nice interpretation of the loop! Seems like a parallel to a loop some might have experienced in a way in real life. The music and visuals supported that perfectly. Great game. I gave up after a while, I might have missed an ending if there was one; if not - well that would fit the theme nicely. :D

Doggo in the Woods by 113hz 2020-10-07T18:16:06Z

I can definitely confirm the soothing feeling that @fc85057 said there was. I had some fun running around the tree and trying to see how far the rope might let me go. And I'd be interested to hear what you had planned with the mechanic, could be an interesting storytelling device.

Stuck in a Froot Loop by Boaz 2020-10-07T19:28:23Z

Hi there, the idea looked fun, but the game was blocked by my antivirus, I could not play it. But I love the twist on the theme. :D

Stuck In A While Loop by Sven Lowry 2020-10-07T19:22:00Z

Great variant of the theme to use a loop as the main instruction to the player, and nice implementation of that idea. We thought about using something similar in our entry, but didn't think of a good mechanic to actually solve the loops. The form and color puzzle solving was a great fit and went well with the code solving on the right. The graphics were clear and readable, but still had a personal touch with the Shape Gun, that was nice, reminded me a bit of portal. All in all a great entry, I had fun.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

πŸ‘» Dimansion πŸ‘» by Mysticaldev 2021-05-17T17:01:19Z

I liked the game! The mechanic as a quite unique puzzle symbol finding game was quite fun. The branching path, the strange symbols, the monsters and dark color palette gave the game a moody feel. One thing was a bit annoying: the music always restarting when changing the room - since the music has a slow buildup that had to restart again, the transition always felt quite harsh. But I particulary enjoyed the puzzle design with the bright symbols that were highly recognisable. Nicely done. :)

Deep Potato by smirnov48 2021-04-27T08:44:21Z

Kinda addictive. The short loop drives makes sure that you always want to reach deeper grounds on your next trip, that's cool! The digging feels satisfying and I was eager to find more vegetables, even after finding the horrible monsters of the depths. The only thing that put a bit of a damper on my explorations was the slow physics - moving sideways is really slow and the vegetables seemed getting pushed away when nearing them. But I liked the art and music! The little dude has character and the different planets made me curious to visit them.

...one last thing though: I got no credits when getting diamonds, oil or anything on the second planet. That took my drive out of it - why get further when there is no reward?

Deeper and Deeper in Debt - Slumlord by automatonvx 2021-05-17T15:56:22Z

I had fun playing! Just started out with a few houses and before I realized what I got into I was making a lot of repair vans drive around town, put out fires and make sure the town I build did not break down.

The game is a good mixture of stressful, strategic and relaxing (which is surely supported by the calm music that gave the whole experience a day-to-day job feel :D).

Down the Mines and Ghosts by UnidayStudio 2021-04-28T06:46:11Z

I liked the game, had fun playing! The mechanic where your past lives interact with your current playthrough works well - even though this game might have been a much better fit to one of the many themes that were some kind of variation of "you are the enemy" or "your past changes the game". But the character designs were cool, you could apply a lot of different strategies to the mechanic and the powerups felt great. :)

Dhromur by Pixel Lifetime 2021-05-17T15:30:45Z

The core concept seemed cool. I never played HOMM, but I really like RPGs where you wander through caves and defeat all appearing enemies. Moving through the cave felt good, the doubleclick was simple to understand... and the environment and music gave that exploration a great mood. The combat was confusing to me, I didn't really understand how to attack, but won in the end. :D I'd play a fleshed-out version of this for sure.

How Low Can You Go? by DanCan 2021-05-17T16:21:37Z

Great stuff! Your game is one of the few I played where you took the theme quite literally and made something interesting and challenging with it. :)

The spearfishing was not easy, but satisfying. There were some points in the game where I had nearly cleared the screen of fish, but then more (and bigger) fish came and made my life stressful again. The gradual descent with rising darkness was a great style.

The only thing I was missing was any sound - the mood in your game was top notch, that would have brought it to perfect.

Knee deep in jelly by Johan Alexandersson 2021-05-17T16:32:23Z

I really liked your entry. I had never really played a pico-8 game up till now, only heard of those. :)

You captured the deep dive exploring nicely. :) The music and sound fit together well and the jellyfish were terrifying. I had sudden flashbacks to the water levels of super mario levels I played as a child.

I was not very good though, I always died a bit after the 240m mark, after there the number of jellyfish started to increase greatly. ^^

Blackout by Frasse 2021-05-17T15:16:48Z

Oh wow. That was FUN! We made an adventure game too - and I thought WE had a lot of polish. But your submission is something else. I really liked the whole theme of the house in the dark where you couldn't really see much. It was really nice exploring everything again along the course of the game. Some objects were a bit hard to find, but you included enough hints everywhere that I didn't get stuck anywhere.

There was a surprising amount of animation! That (combined with the nice graphics) made exploring the house a real treat. The music was great to listen to, it captured the mood nicely and varied a lot, so it keeps beeing interesting to listen for a looong time.

Thanks for your submission!

MilCo. by MikoziQ 2021-05-12T18:44:12Z

I liked the friendly graphics and the constant moooos. The connection mechanic was nice and simple, that was fun. The only thing i missed (like many others said) was some kind of depth - since money only seemed to go up when I added cows, the road to sucess was clear very quickly. :D

Deep Cleanse by LutraLudens 2021-05-17T17:29:15Z

The game is cool! You really captured the feeling of travelling through a body and fighting infections. I liked the graphics: the infections looked gross and were well visible, the viruses looked like something you want to avoid.

The ending felt good too and fit the whole story of the game. :) So, well done, I had fun.

Refrigerator Rampage by RichardK 2021-05-17T16:10:13Z

What a fun idea! Getting deeper and deeper in the fridge is definitly an original take on the theme. I took me a while to find out how to clear the levels (the back of the fridge was not clear as an exit to me) and I got stuck in the menus because the ui did not scale down to my small resolution (WebGL version). The clean graphics of the game and the struggle to escape the milk made the game fun to play, though. Got a bit too hard for me after a while, but I had fun trying. :)

Jung Guns by vickles 2021-05-18T14:39:32Z

Hi there! I liked your game, this was a interesting take on the theme :). We thought about therapy as a topic too, but discarded it for beeing too heavy. But you achieved to make a fun shooter around it, greatly done. I suck at bullet hell games though, so I didn't make it to the end. But the second boss hinted that you made each enemy represent some deeper traumas or other topics to discuss with Jung. Props to that idea.

Deep Dive by Aifryz101 2021-05-17T17:13:33Z

Nice game. :) Moving down to the depths felt great. Capturing small treasures at first and increasing to get greater and greater piles of gold was fun. The open sea seemed inviting at first - until the pirates attacked!

I usually don't like games where you control something with inertia - but you built the controls in a way that worked great - I felt like I had a great deal of control of the submarine. :) And even tough the graphics were simple, the environment worked well and I felt like exploring the deep sea. That was great.

Well by Wakizashi Games 2021-05-12T18:54:57Z

Nice! I thought my shots had no effect on the "shooting machines" at first and gave up, but after reading the comments, I went back and beat it. The game got really stressful at the end, it was not easy to dodge all these bullets. I'm totally on board with Brandon, the jumping felt great, maybe because it is fast? I think you took your time to do the correct parts.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

One More Song! by hadesfury 2022-04-18T11:41:12Z

I really liked your interpretation of the theme! Only being able to use your feet or mouth for the actions was a great idea. The art and music fit together really well, you totally managed to capture the mood of the concert spotlight.

Crash Defense by maxxim 2022-04-08T06:29:20Z

Fun and simple little game. I really liked the astronaut's design. An indicator for the current stack size would have been great, I wasn't sure at first if was supposed to continue chopping until the stack size was reached. I'm torn over the slow axe preparing animation - on one hand, I was always annoyed that the little guy took all his time to get into the perfect position to chop wood while aliens are attacking the base, on the other hand, this fact forced me to plan my resource distribution a bit better. All in all, I had fun. I reached 30. :D

Hold Up Mom! by Ntimi 2022-04-06T06:23:17Z

Oh man, seems like we messed up publishing the game as jam game. Well then - EXTRA it is then. Still has the scope of a jam, but we hope you'll like it anyway.

Hold Up Mom! by Ntimi 2022-04-06T06:45:13Z

Thanks for your comment and playing our game! :) By timer, you mean the time as witten number (in seconds for example), in addition to the depleting bar on the right?

Defend 'till the end by kjscott 2022-04-18T11:58:18Z

Thank you for your entry, I had fun! Shooting the asteroids felt very rewarding. At first glance, the game seemed very simple, but after playing for a while, I started to notice all the cool details you put in, like the earth changing after impacts or the gravitational pull on the asteroids. Moving around the earth was stressful, since your character is slow and shooting seems to stop you for a moment, but that improved the sense of urgency and the inevitable feeling of doom - so: theme well done. :)

Cosmic Castaway by Perrin 2022-04-07T15:58:02Z

That was fun. I liked the puzzles, challenging enough but still solvable. :) I'm a fan of the old LucasArts point and click adventures, so this was familiar territory. And I like the style of the end.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

10 seconds to Spock you by Shigor 2022-10-17T16:28:43Z

Nice idea to use rock, paper, scissors as your main mechanic! The game felt a bit dragging after a while, since every character's speed is quite close to each other, and you often run after each other for a long time. But other than that, nice game. I particularly like the textbook background, that gave the whole game a feeling of being a game made up in free time in school. :D

Illuminati Intern Simulator by Dino Raineri 2022-10-17T16:05:14Z

It's fascinating how short 10 seconds are when you have to read several different possibilities and try to choose the right one. But that stress made the game fun. Creative idea!

Anne & the Raccoons by GameDevTraum 2022-10-09T14:32:55Z

Fun little game with beautiful graphics. The music during the raccoons' shenanigans fits well. I was really confused why you couldn't collect any vegetables from the vegetable garden at first, but figured it out on the second playthrough.

Into the Color Dementia by Phantom49 2022-10-07T06:52:39Z

The rainbow effect of the main character was nice - but I didn't understand the game either. I guess that we're supposed to do something with the colors other than avoiding them, but I couldn't figure out what to do. But the jumping works, collisions do their thing, the 10-second loop is clearly readable and the main idea with the colors seems promising. I think you have a good base to develop into an interesting game.

Solustella by BigYellow 2022-10-06T07:34:15Z

Nice game! The graphics were great, the music fit the theme of constant travelling and building. It took me a little while to understand that I could only build some buildings at specific places and I don't really think I understood the difference between building underground or overground (is there any?). But otherwise, the game was fun. Only got to around impact 90 at my first try, but I'll play it again and get even farther! :)

Alien Abductor by ch33sybacon 2022-10-07T15:09:36Z

Hey there. Nice little game, I had fun building my ship up. I'd have loved indicators on the buttons if the upgrade is currently possible and a (visible) option to close the upgrade menu (it seemed to get hidden sometimes after an upgrade, but not always). But the music was cool (reminded me of human music ? :D) and the little sound effects made collecting cows and people fun.

LD52 — Harvest

Shadow Harvester by Ntimi 2023-01-20T08:05:30Z

@tomssuli Thanks for the heads-up!

Loading takes a really long time, sorry for that - it seems to be stuck on 7% for quite a while (around two minutes on my computer), but there should be progress (even if invisible). Afterwards, the loading bar jumps to 14% and the rest of the game will load faster.

It's really strange that the game is not being downloaded through the links, too. I tried re-uploading the Windows version on itch.io, but it seemed to not change anything. I added a downloadable Windows version to our LD site, that one works (at least for me).

So, sorry that you could not access it, now you should be able to, again.

LD53 — Delivery

Stork inc. by Ntimi 2023-05-03T14:53:57Z

Thank you for the comments and feedback, you all! :)

@tom-oak Oh, you're right, storks go under the markers! That seems like a bug I should fix. Thanks for the notice.

AWOOoooo! Delivering your soul to the forest... .. . . . . Or Not.!? by INCD021 2023-05-04T13:59:14Z

Fun little walk! And so many dumb ways to die. I guess I should be really careful next time I go outside. :D

Hexpress by RunicPixels 2023-05-09T15:11:54Z

That's a beautiful game! I liked wandering over the map, enjoying the environment. Trying out all the different staffs/wands/weapons was cool, the effects were quite diverse. The only thing I missed was a bit of gameplay variance, walking and shooting worked well the whole time, there were no greater risks to take. But that's just nitpicking, the entry feels really well done for a jam game. Really liked it. :)

B-Rush Deliveries by bashem 2023-05-04T07:44:21Z

Really cool art. The crafting idea is nice! And there's a lot going on, with all those different crafting materials, a lot, all these different reactions for lost orders, the details in the room. Seems like a lot of work went into this. :) I was just too dumb to craft all the items in time, most of my deliveries failed. But I'll try again. This business is going to be successful one day.

Speedy Delivery Co. by kristinamay 2023-05-08T16:07:02Z

What a satisfying game! Stacking boxes was really fun. I didn't really feel any negatives not ordering the parcels by address, but I'm sure I could have reached higher stats with it. Is the game endless? I ran out of time to play on day 11. Overall, great entry.

Devil-lery by CaptAndrey 2023-05-04T07:09:07Z

The shoooom-sound when firing the cannon is fun! I like your art too, very moody. It didn't start on the main LD site for me, though, I had to visit the itch page. And I didn't hear any music, that seems to have had a bug? Controls were nice and simple. I didn't quite get at first that the color of the bar on the back of the cannon indicates the power, since that bar looked like it could "fill up", but started filled. Cool entry. :)

TIFY Boxes by mmisspelling 2023-05-04T14:17:23Z

Interesting game! I really liked the small story you developed. Intriguing and a bit creepy. The art and music fit the tone well. It was a bit hard for me to find the way out of the first room (and the main door), hovering in the empty space on the floor didn't make any sense to me, since there was no door indicator there. But apart from these navigation issues, everything went well and was easy to follow. Nice. :)

πŸ“― POSTAL HERO 🏹 by Caca 2023-05-03T14:18:45Z

I loved this game! The art is gorgeous, the music fit perfectly, I liked how I got to know more and more of the city day by day (and thanks for adding maps all around town, I never really had to search for one), the driving was fun, the animations were just right. I had to fiddle a bit when throwing the letters with my touchpad, but that's on me for not using a mouse. :D And I only found out on the second day that I should deliver the letters to specific adresses, not throw them in anywhere. That confused me at first, but makes sense, of course. And I love the town, I'd love to visit it some time.

All in all, great entry.

GoBat by Bloodbane 2023-05-04T14:31:47Z

The music and energy of the game was cool! I'm not really sure how to deliver the gifts to the right bunnies, though. They rejected them mostly, even if the color fit them. But I liked the colors!

Rescue Rat by Sashalipatov 2023-05-03T14:33:26Z

Interesting game. I liked your character art, especially the starting panels and the little animations of the people on the map. The characters were hard to find on the map, I guess after a while you remember where every guy is, but especially in the beginning I was wandering around quite a while aimlessly. You captured the mood of a plague-ridden city in the middle ages well, though. The music and art fit well together.

Involuntary Nannies by xHadie 2023-05-05T15:07:07Z

:D What an eventful story! I guess I need a friend that does one of the roles to play with me. The game is really hard. I needed a few tries to figure out what to do and where to go exactly. But the premise is fun, I can see myself trying this one again to get to the end. I didn't really finish the whole pile of babies.

Uberroo by Saryah 2023-05-09T15:30:34Z

The music was cool and I liked the colorful street! I found the game really hard to play, though.

Maybe I'm just too bad at that genre, but I guess I missed mainly two things: I couldn't really tell if the speed boost is currently active - the speed difference seemed too little to really see any difference. And (going in the same direction) it would have been great to see if the speed boost was currently recharged and ready to use. Without those indicators, I found it hard to get a feel for the speed control.

The main idea was fun, though! And using seagulls as enemies is a hilarious idea. Didn't see the first bird coming, I was really surprised. :D

Last Stand Delivery by Sheng Mai 2023-05-04T14:54:35Z

Great idea for a mechanic! And the puzzles are cool.

Pizza Pete's Peculiar Predicament by Space_Games 2023-05-05T14:51:27Z

That game was REALLY fun! Level 5 was hard, but I made it to the end. After clicking next level after level 7 I just got a black screen, not sure if that was intended or a bug? The guy's idle animation is simple, but great. Overall, one of my favorite entries I played this year.

Hamazon Waremouse by Hoshinu 2023-05-02T15:56:09Z

You captured the hectic athmosphere of the warehouse quite well! I'm not really sure if I played the game correctly, since it didn't seem to make a difference if I collected all the items on the list or just deposited nothing and got the next list - i guess I'm just missing a small score counter to get feedback during the game. But cool idea and nice work on the level. I particularly like the Hamazon logo. :D

Dungeon Delivery by squareronin 2023-05-03T14:50:02Z

I really liked that you could throw packages down to merchant A! :D Getting around was a bit tedious, since I'd always get stuck on the steps when trying to climb stairs, felt like the collisions did not work as they were supposed to. The monsters had just the right speed to feel threatening, but manageable. The time constraint was a good choice, just long enough to have some complexity, but short enough to play a few rounds. Overall, nice first entry, you two! :)

Then Came A Stork by bonkibot 2025-10-11T13:32:26Z

Thanks for the game! A lot of commenters wrote that they felt that the game was too slow, but I really liked the empty sections where you gave the mood the time to shine. And I feel that you did very well building the atmosphere of the sea. The flat shapes combined with the parallax layers work great - and you built the sound environment masterfully. It felt a bit like a mood-driven, storytelling version of flappy bird - simple controls, enough to lean back and enjoy the story.

The web build did not run for me, unfortunately... (did you modify the index.js file in the web folder, as by the embedding guide?) ... but the windows version worked great.

One small nitpick - I crashed into the ground a few times - Thanks for adding checkpoints to restart where I left off, they helped me - I was just taken aback every time I was moved back to the game start menu, where I had to select "start game". Having that text change to "continue" would have felt safer. :) Overall, great entry!

LD54 — Limited Space

SPACE GARDEN by Ntimi 2023-10-06T08:06:34Z

Thank you all for playing! And for your feedback! I fixed some of the bugs you mentioned (especially fixing the end level ending condition - thank you for telling us, @vr-corry, @mitch-miller, @jadener, @thebmxeur, @ordineu, @gorglomux) :)

I wish you all the best and lots of fun playing more games.

Pickle Packer by Tiseno 2023-10-14T14:08:02Z

It was fun playing around with all those pickles. Nice play with the theme - I didn't have access to a mouse, but had a touchscreen, so I really felt immersed in the little game, trying to stuff as many pickles in the jars as possible. I was just too slow, the screen got filled with pickles really soon. Ran out of space eventually, that crushed the physics engine. ^^ But I had fun. Thanks for your game.

My grandma's stories by Aquillot 2023-10-14T14:38:16Z

Really cool game. Like others already said, this felt like a really intimate story. Thanks for sharing it with us. The hand-drawn graphics fit the game really well. The different mini games made the game more interesting and fun. I actually liked having to figure out how to control every different screen - it felt like exploring how to handle each part of the story.

LD55 — Summoning

Seance by alexrose 2024-05-01T16:57:45Z

I loved this game! Played it all through right now. From the overall premise, the graphics, the story and the amazing voice acting, everything was great and fit well together. I don't know how you did it in that short time. Lovely entry, thanks for your creation. :)

Treant Wars by Tudvari 2024-04-17T18:39:16Z

Nice game! I really had fun placing the trees and building my forests. Having them grow and expand my area was great. The graphics were minimalistic, but worked really well. :) I had a bit of trouble seeing if I was currently in treant creation mode and ended up pressing that button multiple times every time enemies arrived, but maybe that's just me. But I got to the end nethertheless. Level 3 was the hardest, by level 4 I seemed to have it figured out. Thank you for the game!

Call of Duties by iphelf 2024-05-01T14:51:48Z

Thank you for that game! That was stressful. Cool thing that you managed to build all these minigames in the short time. I had fun handling all of those tasks, even if I failed one or two summons. The difficulty curve felt right. You also managed to build a readable interface, that's no small feat. I didn't have to re-read controls during the game, since everything I needed was right there. It felt a bit awkward having to switch between mouse and keyboard for different tasks, but I guess that was part of the experience, everyone wants something else from you. I also got briefly stuck during typing until I realized that it didn't take my last space - a small cursor would have helped tremendously. Overall, great entry! :)

Aphrodite's Day Off by RileyKhin 2024-05-01T14:33:20Z

I enjoyed the premise of the game, listening to diffenrent cases and deciding what to do in the end. The game is beautifully made, the images fit the story really well - and the story is fitting to the old greek myths about these gods.

I had the same problem as Neandi, though: the character images do not load. Too bad, this made the dialogs quite confusing - and judging from your screenshots, the art would have been nice. The only thing I saw during the whole game was the scale, dialogs and background.

Screenshot 2024-05-01 163009.png

The end texts were also a bit too fast for me, I couldn't read until the end.

Other than that: nice work!

Souls Summoners by Tritax711 2024-04-16T17:11:38Z

That was a fun little battler. I liked the animations of the little minions and the summoners! It actually took me three rounds to win, so the difficulty seems right. :) I couldn't really figure out what minions are good against each other and where my souls come from - I'm not sure if that could be improved with some visual feedback. And I just spammed the summon buttons, since there were no soul costs. But it worked, I won. The dramatic music went well with the athmosphere, too.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Build The Sun by TRASEVOL_DOG 2024-10-10T18:21:39Z

Really cool game! The creatures move smoothly, the music fits well, the building of the small communities feels fulfilling and the hold-to-build-mechanic is great. I really wanted to play this game through, but after a while, it just felt dragging on and on. Would have continued at a later point if I could save. This is the kind of game I feel I would revisit often, just to explore more of the world, bit by bit.

Age of Honey by LuckyFeathers 2024-10-09T20:24:55Z

I liked the game! I defeated all the bears at the end and had my hive at its max level. :) The music was nice (chill vibes) and the graphics fit the mood nicely. I would have wished for it to be a bit harder, though: since the bears only attack the main hive and never the worker bees or the pools of honey stored around the map, you don't have to invest a lot in fighters, you can just swarm the map with bees and let your hive with minimal defenses. The bee immersion felt great that way, but I missed the challenge. ;) Otherwise, fun entry, thanks.

PATCHONOMICON by pepnou 2024-10-09T18:46:47Z

Okay, I was not expecting to build Frankenstein clothes today. Quite a chill game considering you're sewing living creatures together. O.o The game was fun! I feel that I got a little too many green pieces for my taste, but that's random, I guess? It had a good length, too. And stitching the creatures on felt satisfying. Overall, nice entry. :)

Harvest Hijinks by Hunt 2024-10-09T19:11:45Z

That's a fun puzzle game with a nice theme going on! I like that the plants around your house are both a wall to protect you, but have to be protected, too. I needed a few tries to get the concept, but after I survived two rounds, everything afterwards went well. Just mastered easy for now, but I'll be back for the harder challenges. :D

Beetle Tower by Doot 2024-10-09T18:32:15Z

This was a fun game! Well polished, too. I'd love to hear how you got this idea, though. That's creative. :D And I won. It's always a plus in my book if the game has an end. ^^

Tiny Tiny Tribes by James Wilson 2024-10-09T19:33:11Z

I liked the game, played a few rounds. The concept is nice, we're building up our small team and fighting off monsters. :) Had fun walking around and chasing the beasts - the controls during the combat were my major turnoff, that part felt more annoying than entertaining. The first game, it took me a whole while to understand that I could actually control the character, since it felt quite unresponsive. Building your crew and trying to balance different abilities is great, though. I'm impressed what you managed to cram into these 48 hours. :)

tiny adventure by RoTob123 2024-10-09T19:55:00Z

Kiting - the game! :D I had fun. And got to the end. :) It took me until the last level to understand the meaning of the little numbers and symbols on the bottom of the screen, but I had survived until then by spamming x and running away. Seeing the numbers on the last enemy, though, I had to optimize my power output. I, too, did not understand the wrapping. I thought it was bad leaving the edges, so I just stayed in the whole time. Worked well, too. The game got a little repetitive after a while, since you can just defeat all levels with the same tactic: run in circles and shoot. Some non-following enemies might have made things much more interesting. Still, the game was nice. And you managed to put in a boss. That's always fun. :)

Ink Rebels by perka 2024-10-08T10:09:24Z

Nice idea for the setting. It's fun that you mix up the order of the levels - that gives motivation to do more runs. :) The hitboxes of the gaps in the floor felt a bit too large for me - I died a few times until I learned to keep a larger distance. The style and isometric view work great, beautiful game!

Horseless Headman by SwanBoat 2024-10-09T18:56:59Z

Crazy cool intro and style. The gameplay was fun, too! I'm a bit fan of frantic action games. It took me a while to understand that I could move the head in circles, I was just doing short slashes in the beginning. ^^ But that did not hurt my run. Great entry!

LD57 — Depths

Slow Decline by Ntimi 2025-04-08T08:03:55Z

@thiradil Thanks for the report! The bug is fixed now and the game is playable. Have a great jam!

Nine Lives Deep by Simon Rahnasto 2025-04-19T13:57:03Z

I loved this game! A full game with multiple levels with bosses, a story, voice acting and beautiful animations? Really cool entry. I liked the anchor mechanic, that was something that I hadn't seen before in a game. The closest I had seen comparatively were some grappling hook mechanics in some metroid games. Thanks for this game. I don't think I have constructive comments on what to improve. :D

Nowhere to Dive by Anifan gelati 2025-04-19T13:30:07Z

Hi there! Thanks for making this game. Interesting concept having different protective cards against psychological threats. Having "physical" cards was cool in a way that it actually felt like a card game. My screen became crowded quickly, though, as soon as I started collecting more cards - I often turned two cards at once when clicking on my screen, since the cards were quite close together. The core mechanic of collecting cards to match problems could be quite interesting. The positioning of cards just felt out of place currently, since there was no challenge involved in positioning the right symbol at the right place. If each card had contained multiple symbols and you'd have to match the right ones in the row without having wrong ones overlapping, we'd have an interesting puzzle mechanic! In my opinion, I'd do a few small changes: have each card contain multiple symbols, introduce a hand card limit, and add the option to discard cards - this could be the base to make it a tight deck building game. :) But the time in Jams is always limited. Props for building it as far as you did!

LD58 — Collector

Bards Battles by wdebowicz 2025-10-12T15:01:39Z

The premise sounds interesting, but the download size is a bit much for me - 1.2 GB isn't something that's downloaded quickly.

Don Trickle the Taxmaster by Wakobu 2025-10-12T17:45:49Z

I approve of the message of the game. πŸ˜„ I feel like you captured the fight against billionaires very well - every fight is hard and leads to only little results. But you persist and fight on. The fight is fun, and it's cool that you basically have endless upgrades. For me, the game dragged on a bit too long, though, so I didn't play until the end. Might just be my bad skills, it might be faster if you achieve more hits per round. I didn't really understand when a round was over - It was pretty clear when I died, but I didn't understand the other condition(s?) that ended a round. Was there a timer? Or did the billionaire have a limited health? I'm not quite sure. Overall, cool entry. Thanks for building this. I might restart it again for a quick round of fighting. :)

Cat Catcher by Arthur Iung 2025-10-12T09:59:10Z

Cool game! The mechanic of buying new boxes to catch the cats was interesting, I hadn't seen that before. This really increased the challenge, adding new boxes on time while still focusing on the cats. I was a bit overwhelmed after a bit due to playing with a crappy notebook touchpad - I'd have loved to have a shortcut key to buy a box, this would have made things easier. :D But overall, cute game, nice style, with music, sounds and custom graphics - solid entry for a day!

Head Count by Langotriel 2025-10-12T09:44:26Z

I really liked this game! Destroying doors was fun and using the different abilities was great. The first ability is already really powerful, but switching it up make the fights even more enjoyable. The art style and music direction really works well. I feel like the color palette does heavy lifting tying the detailed portraits and the relatively simple level art together - and you did a great job doing that! I wasn't expecting voice acting - that was a cool surprise. I felt that the game was still a bit too easy for my taste, but if you made it harder, you might have had to put even more work into making the fights fair - so I totally understand the level of difficulty. One of the most fun entries I played so far.

Head Count by Langotriel 2025-10-12T09:46:36Z

Ah, forgot to mention: I had a small bug at the last boss. I died once and when I went back to him again, he played two dialogues at once, so I couldn't really understand what he said. That might have been the text he was supposed to say at the end of the game. But definitely nothing major.

Head Count by Langotriel 2025-10-12T14:56:16Z

@langotriel Oh, that's a nice detail, thanks for pointing that out! How cool that you added different dialog lines depending on the heads. That's a reason for a replay. :)

Ludum TCG by LittleGamer 2025-10-12T09:13:32Z

Thanks for the small game! Opening packs is always satisfying. Great thing that you added sound effects, that's kind of a core part of the experience. :) I'd have loved to read some of the texts on the cards, but the letters are far too small on my screen and I didn't manage to zoom in. But a fun idea nevertheless, kinda captures the core of the theme - collecting and curating. ^^

The Sealed Power by GameDevTraum 2025-10-07T14:05:51Z

I could proceed very far into the game - it didn't let me place my second card (the one with the fireball moving from one hand to another), so I got stuck early on. Props for integrating the idea of collectible card into a different format than a card game. Did you draw the card art yourself? If so - nice, they really feel like classic collectible card fronts. The game mechanics felt a bit bare, though - it was basically a standard unity walker with cards as keys. Thanks for the entry, though!

Hollow Choir by Forik 2025-10-11T14:17:45Z

Thanks for the entry! There were quite some things I really liked here. The cursing when a spell went wrong, the falling of the chestnuts from the tree and the doll that changed places. You put some details in there that made each ingredient feel a bit different. :) I'm a bit confused if I understood the game properly, though - I gathered the ingredients for the first two coffins, but then I got to the third one, which glowed from within - just in a blue hue, not with a crimson one. I tried out the glowing recipe anyway, but it failed. Then I thought to myself that this might be a riddle that needs me to figure out the omitted recipe D, but any combination that I thought that might logically be it also led to failure... so I gave up, sorry. The graphics and ambience felt nice! This felt like a small ritual place in the woods. I had fun. :)

Do Needles Dream of Electric Haystacks? by Jaco van Hemert 2025-10-11T14:39:04Z

This feels and looks really cool! I've only been able to play the very beginning of it because my screen resolution is not large enough to display the whole game and a window has been moved outside of the bounds. Bummer. But now I'm invested. If I ever get my hands on a larger screen, I'll have to revisit it.

LootRail - Scavenge, Survive, Profit by HexyVexy 2025-10-12T15:45:20Z

Nice game, I really enjoyed the mood. The animations are also very well done. I felt that the wall jumping was a bit hard, because it only works while I'm moving against the wall- that was a bit unintuitive for me at first. But after a while, I got the hang of it. The first few enemies exploded when touching me because I didn't understand that I had to reload my gun. But I liked how they simply stoicly walked towards you, regardless of what you did. Thanks for the entry. :)

Dinging da dung ! by Roroto Sic 2025-10-12T10:09:03Z

I liked this game! The texts and graphics are really cute. And I like the mechanic of combining dung balls, that feels like a fresh take on the sokoban genre. :) I'm just too stupid to solve the first level. But I feel like that's on me :D

Curious Curation by Philocode 2025-10-12T18:05:35Z

Cool game! My collection was a complete failure though, I guess I don't have what it takes to make people happy. I skipped buying the vending machines at first, thinking that I might build up some reputation beforehand, but the visitors weren't impressed, they might have been hangry. ^^ I might come back some time and try again, I'd have loved to grow my collection some more. Speaking of which: I really like that you actually made a game where you interact with your collection. Many games are about collecting something, but seeing the collection improves the experience dramatically. :)

FORTUNE FOR TRINKET by DominosXpizza 2025-10-12T16:54:57Z

Really cool small game! I love the polished details you added, like the different speech bubbles and the swinging of the decorations. I had fun deciphering the meaning of the cards, I just wished it went on longer - it still felt like the intro to the game. :D No idea what to improve, except for more clients. Felt great!

Office routine by urvethen 2025-10-12T17:16:47Z

I really liked the lifely atmosphere you built into the game. The office felt like a busy room full of work and the music supported the energy with which we tried to handle the tasks we got thrown at, even though it was near impossible to do even half of them. I feel like this game needed a bit of a slower ease-in - at the start, I was totally confused of what was expected of me. "Take the papers" just left me aimlessly wandering around the office and trying to pick up any papers. It took me a while to see that the quest items were marked with an arrow. And then the main content of the game was wandering through the office and searching for any arrows. Actually, I can see that this experience mirrors quite well how it is to actually start working in a new company. You're given some easy tasks, but are missing the whole context that you first have to learn slowly. "Pet the plant" --- which plant? There's dozens of them! :D I feel that one game run might have needed to have some fewer tasks and to run for a while longer. And perhaps have some global direction arrows pointing at where to go in the large office - at least in the beginning, to learn the layout. But after my run, at least I knew where the coffee machine was. ^^

I Need Paperplanes by Kvn 2025-10-12T08:15:14Z

Nice little runner game. Took me a little while to figure out that I was supposed to dash and crash into the solid brick wall that blocked my path. :D Unfortunately, I seem to have the error with the cut-off screen, too. I've played in windowed mode, my screen resolution is 1920x1080 - the window was also too large for me to see the bottom row. So, I played in fullscreen mode to see where I was going. I like the way you can use your items to clear your path. Felt like I was solving small puzzles while running. The randomness of the drops were irritating, though - sometimes I got the item I needed, other times I got stuck, because a bin didn't contain a water bottle to destroy the next wall. I feel like the game would have been more enjoyable without the lucky draws. Also, I didn't see the difference between the wall crashable by dash and the dash-resisting walls at first - maybe a slightly different color might have helped. :) I really liked the way you integrated the tutorial in the game level. No waiting, just playing. Always a fan of that approach!

Subterranean by PatUwU 2025-10-07T13:51:49Z

Nice entry! Thanks for the game. I enjoyed digging through the earth and feeding mother. I just thought to myself - is that everything there is? So I upgraded every item to diamond level, overfed her with the juiciest bugs I could find and ran for my life. I'm a bit disappointed that there was still no escape in the end. πŸ˜„ The graphics are well done and fit the mood. There's a bit of a mood-disconnect between the calming music in contrast with the monstrous screams of hunger rage from big mother, but I feel that might have been a choice. ^^ Took me a while to understand the upgrade system - I first thought that the upgrade menu icon was for leaving the game and didn't want to click it. And I'd have loved it if there was some way to feed her using the keyboard only - clicking menu items while the camera rotates left me a little dizzy. Other than that, solid entry!

Treasure Cove by ogaudin 2025-10-12T15:24:54Z

Fun game, thanks for the entry! Took me a bit to learn that the different colors represented trash quality, but after I worked that out, my turnout got a lot better. :D I felt like the game got a bit boring very soon, however, since you basically have to fish up the same trash in every round. I upgraded the boat speed first to leave my starting zone and get to more 'interesting' trash, but that trash is in deeper waters and you need a longer rope and a larger timer duration to bring up anything there - so investing in the speed early on only brought me more empty rounds; I was basically forced to fish the same starting trash again to reach a more diverse gameplay. I feel like a small bit of randomness would have brought in a lot of additional playing fun. But I know, time's always short in a jam. ;) Other than this, the game was nice. I really enjoyed the happy home-swimming music, the clearly readable timer and the trash selecting mechanic - the drag and drop felt very smooth, quite some games struggle with that. ^^ Overall, cool game.
