It seems I'm not the only one one with a animal protagonist for the Dare.
Is it possible to make a higher resolution map, or a bigger map. I'm largely just wandering around until if find who i'm looking for.
I agree about the map (and showing a map at the start to tell us where the people are would be helpful) and the art, and I enjoyed the writing quite a bit as well.

Мне очень нравится сам концепт срдневековья, очен люблю такое) Красивый арт, клёвые анимации и хорошо, что вы пофиксили то, когда крыска крутится вокруг своей оси, стало лучше играться) Хотелось бы сделать мини карту побольше, чтобы понять как к какому персу добраться, а то я просто брожу по карте и пытаюсь вспомнить кто где находится или мб показывать направление куда идти, нз, но что -то , что облегчит немного нахждение челиков на карте

Игра проста в ореинтеровке, уже зараннее знаю куда иду, дополнительно очень помогает карта. В целом хорошая работа.

Interesting game. I liked your character art, especially the starting panels and the little animations of the people on the map. The characters were hard to find on the map, I guess after a while you remember where every guy is, but especially in the beginning I was wandering around quite a while aimlessly. You captured the mood of a plague-ridden city in the middle ages well, though. The music and art fit well together.

The art style is so good! I like taht it's set in medieval times too! The music is super chill and the mini-map is SUPER helpful and is a great addition!

I got an error when trying to play after the tutorial Screenshot 2023-05-03 203859.png After a page refresh however I was able to play. Cool art, fitting music and funny dialogues. I noticed however that I was almost exclusively looking at the minimap, as it made it easier to locate the goal and to avoid plague rats. At the same time though, I think this was making the gameplay less interesting. Perhaps you could consider a different approach, like for example an arrow that points towards the target so that I have to memorize the map a bit and have to look at the main scene.
Very cool drawn visual style and concept. Unfortunately I was not able to get any sounds to play so I think I missed out on some music.
I'm getting a webGL error of some kind (running it full screen so thats not the issue) Do you have a downloadable as well so I can still check the game out?
@alpalcalad This is the first time we've heard of such a bug, so we've added a downloadable file to Itch.io just for you.

Legend thanks. Only possible issue would be the layering was a bit odd for the player. You could stand above the doctor but still be in front which looked aesthetically a bit odd. Really the best criticism i have tho so rly good game other than that

Lovely art and music, when I think even adding a North/South/East/West in the upper right quest dialog would help. Once I memorized where people were it was easier, but I did have to take Licorish multiple times in a row, so I think eliminating a quest from the list once you've completed it would make the dialogue feel fresh each time.
We made a game with rats delivering the plague, so I like to think your rat is in the same universe curing the people on which we're dumping fleas!
Love the art style and music. Once I figured out how the game worked I found myself mostly just looking at the minimap and ignoring the rest of the screen until I got to a delivery, which is a shame because the the artwork is so good. I wonder if it would have worked to get rid of the minimap and just have an arrow pointing in the direction of your objective.

Игра интересная и весёлая, однако меня напрягало всю игру анимация ходьбы, которая постоянно проигрывалась, отдельное спасибо за миникарту, очень помогала)
Really great aesthetics here, very atmospheric too which I think was down to such a strong art style and music. Game was fun, liked the conversations between the rat doc and the other characters and finding the best way around the rats was cool. I eventually died when I decided to try and sneak past one rat only to be chased directly into another!
Amazing art style and atmosphere! There was a bug when i 1st started the game but after restarting it was fixed!

The character art is gorgeous, and the atmosphere is well crafted. The carrier rat would go over NPCs (as her model just slides over those who are not part of the quest atm) and it is easy to get lost even with a map, but the concept is great and gameplay is interesting.

We love this UI, very very good art style. Our big respect to @pnikav! For programmers: guys, you should put a flip function outside the moving function, to block rotation of the character back to start position and scale the character collider a bit more. Also we miss a bit more sprites in the animation sprite sheets and, regretfully, there's no interact. Just isn't working, idk why. Overall, very nice entry!
Art style was very good, super creepy. The dialogues were fun! Map was OP tho, like I never stopped looking at it and never crossed a plague rat. Loved it, great work!!!

the visuals are very nice, the animations are sweet, but the gameplay is a little difficult, it took me a long time to understand what to do, the monster that was walking around randomly killed me a few times

The art was cool, but I couldn't understand what to do. The monster was hard to see, and by the time I did, they had already bumped into me. I also couldn't find anything to interact with :| Overall, great artstyle, but the gameplay needs a lot of polish

Визуальный стиль музыка и диалоги отличные! Невольно заулыбался когда запустил. Вижу, что у других комментаторов враги бродили по городу, но у меня они стояли на месте и я их обходил просто. Я выучил имена 4-х больных и заработал 1700 очков

Enjoyable game ! I like the original idea you had for the theme haha "hey guys, lets make a rat delivery service ok ?". The graphics were great, especially the characters (rat included), lot of details and that's really the strong point of the game for me. For the gameplay it's simple but works well, and there is so much you can do in a Ludum Dare ! I would have loved to have a bit more lore / story during the missions but, yeah as i said, not enough time i guess ! Anyway, well played :)

Like someone else had mentioned, if you don't wait for the intro slides to finish and just click on "continue" as soon as you can, the game crashes.
The art style is nice and the music is relaxing and fits the setting. I think the game could have benefited from a compass that directs the player to their destination. The camera should have also been pushed a bit further as there were a few instances where I died to a rat that was under the top right UI. I died before I ever saw the rat.

I just saw the message in the description above about playing the game in full screen. It does improve the experience, but you should try to make the UI scale for smaller viewports as well, especially if its playable in the browser.

The game is pretty good. I like the medieval vibe but maybe adding some dialogue at the beginning of the game with the doctor would have been more immersive. I would have loved to have more indications and choice of deliveries, and not just look at the mini map to find the characters and stars. But great job, the graphics are really goods and the game works well !
I think the art is really good. An option that you can show and hide the quest panel would have been good so that you have more visibility. An info button like when you hand in the quest would have been good for the doctor. I didn't know what the window was at the top right at the beginning, and then I understood that the doctor gives me missions. An exclamation mark to show "hey i'm giving you a quest" would have been an advantage. I like that the plague rats give up the chase after a while. i also find the fact that there are dialogues a sweet detail. Music would have been good too :D
+ Interesting game, I like the atmosphere. + I think the minimap was too useful, it had much more information than the screen, so I just looked at the minimap the entire time. Maybe have the destination indication show up on the edge of the screen or don't show the plague rats on the minimap and reduce their trigger range. + There seemed be no end to the game (no timer), just free wandering (no max delivery number), and the plague rats were always in the same place (only followed the player), so after you learn the routes to the people it became pretty repetitive. + I found it weird that when getting close to the delivery recipient you got the conversation, which sometimes even mentioned something like give it to me or thanks, and you didn't drop of the "goods". I think you should drop off the delivery when the conversation begins, and then you can have the conversation trigger on proximity or button press. + Some of the conversations were confusing, and I think they triggered randomly but there weren't too much available because I got like the same conversation 3 times and then a different one? if that's the case, maybe have it be less random and trigger the conversation that hasn't been seen yet or has been seen the least amount of times.
