LD39 — Running out of Power

PEW PEW PRINCESS by Karai17 2017-08-02T01:27:56Z

I found the art quite poor, could have more elements to make the scenery more beautiful. The mechanics gave a lot of possibilities for building enemies, but the fact that destroying the enemy eliminates the attacks that are coming our way made the game very easy for the boss. The boss was in agreement with the mechanics of bullet hell, but the bullets that came towards him also disappeared after a while. Other than that, I did not find it was the connection between the game and the theme, but okay.

Very beautiful art, however the game is a bit confusing at first, until I understand that I have to click on the shining squares. I'm not sure if I came to the end after making the obvious puzzles I was given. The mechanics of camera transition and forming the stars in the sky are very beautiful. Very impressive. Congratulations.

V-Empire by GabrielBucsan 2017-08-02T01:43:50Z

I find all red texture unnecessary, even if to represent the vampire's vision and his thirst for blood. If instead you had just made people pounding red in the rhythm of heartbeat, I think it would have gotten better. The sound was also too loud, having a button to disable or adjusting the sound would be nice too. Besides, the monk was difficult to identify, I had to die for him the first time to know that he was a monk, not another type of villager. Other than that, the mechanics of turning and attacking humans is pretty cool, it would be interesting to watch this game continue.

The fact that the screen was cut at the edges made it very difficult to understand what I should do. But I decided to wait until the end of the woman's speech (which, by the way, is very good), when she said what I should do. Although it is a very interesting mechanic, to control two characters at the same time, the lack of information was very difficult. I would like to see the future of this game, it looks very promising =).

Power Grid Manager by cudabear 2017-08-02T01:56:18Z

I thought it would be very simple to play, but I was surprised. Incredibly fun and challenging. When it arrives in the fifth house already begins to get crazy, to click with the mouse and to press the buttons of the keyboard. Maybe if the source of the key I had to push was a bit more unique for each key, and were not acronyms in the case of return, for example, would get a little easier.

Another interesting thing for the future, perhaps, is to put the possibility of other types of keyboards. In the case of the game, it uses the English standard, but I, as a Brazilian, had a bit of difficulty, but I also know that there are other standards in Europe that can make the game more complicated to play.

The art of the game is also pretty cool, but could have a better refinement. Something more technologous but without looking like it was done on a paper. With the exception of the tutorial, it was quite interesting to seem handwritten. Congratulations =)

I found the music very loud, I had to get the sound of the game through Windows. The lack of feedback was also something I missed, it seemed like I was immortal. In spite of this, the theme was interesting, and may be better used in the future, I would like to see this game in the future, with better finishing.

Delivery To The Underpass by Bocodillo 2017-08-02T00:50:30Z

Simply awesome! At first I got stuck, for leaving a button behind, but I decided to start over and I did not regret it. The simple art made everything prettier, combined with the music and the lines of the small space trash can, was simply incredible. Very good. I'm typing with my feet, because with my hands I'm clapping.

Electric Castle by Mr Marcgenesis 2017-08-02T01:15:04Z

Great fun. The way obstacles were positioned to provide a challenge was quite interesting. The details in the end were well drafted, to force a new game. Congratulations.

Ps .: Maybe a button to mute the music or to decrease the volume. The sound was too loud x.x

There's No Place Like Home by Remzo 2017-08-02T01:38:23Z

Great fun, but I have not found a purpose other than staying alive. The art is very beautiful, with this tonality of Normal Map, in addition to the minimalist art that worked well together. The fact of having only one source of energy is very interesting, but I do not see why not always keep the shield. Maybe give more purpose to the other machines? =)

LD58 — Collector

Soul Harvester by gold.daniel 2025-10-06T21:30:35Z

I really liked the overall idea of capturing souls, but I found the purpose behind “collecting” a bit unclear, considering that was the theme of the LD. As a game, I thought it was interesting, though it lacked some special effects and a clearer indicator for when I no longer had souls to throw. It took me a few seconds to realize I needed to end the turn.

Cave Packer by Tommeh 2025-10-06T21:40:01Z

I had to force myself to stop playing. I love tech tree games. As for the game, I felt that having a timer pushes you more into racing against time rather than “collecting,” and the inventory system felt a bit more like “resource management.” The pickaxe sound was the most satisfying thing about my Monday — I might even use it as my alarm tone <3 I’m definitely adding this to my favorites so I can come back and play more later!

WebWeaver by JPGFG 2025-10-06T21:57:51Z

The spider really caught my attention — it’s a shame she doesn’t appear during gameplay. I liked the battle music during the fly encounters; it makes the fight feel much more epic than it actually is. I enjoyed that. I didn’t quite understand how to reinforce the web — I tried several times, but I think I just didn’t get what that meant. Maybe an in-game tutorial (I know, it’s a Game Jam, so that’s asking a lot) could help clarify where exactly to place a web to understand what a “reinforced web” is. I’m not sure if it strays from the theme since it feels more like a resource management puzzle, but catching flies sounds like a fun pastime — I might even adopt that in real life.

Good Boy by luckythespacecat 2025-10-06T21:46:59Z

The art really caught my attention — both the floating dolls, which I found quite charming, and the opening cutscene. Very interesting :) However, I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do. I clicked to attack but couldn’t tell if I was hitting or not, and I also didn’t know when I was taking damage. In the end, I died just like the dog in the cutscene — out of nowhere. I’m not sure if I experienced the game properly; a guy showed up, and I died. Was that the ending?
