LD53 — Delivery

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-02T17:05:53Z

Hey, thanks for making this game, I quite enjoyed it :) One thing I noticed, in some of the levels the player and the boxes disappear within the bounds of the level on normal ground, so there may be some misplaced boundaries or something. But other than that, I quite enjoyed it... and had fun kicking boxes around aming for the right container :D

Package Plz by Erk 2023-05-02T15:39:27Z

Hey :) I had fun playing your game, although I first missed the current date part and was confused by the expiration dates. Other than that, I hit the reject button a few times by accident, so positioning it elsewhere may be better. Aside from that, the game was interesting and entertaining and I enjoyed playing it :)

Elevander of the Emu Express by Honest Dan 2023-05-02T19:16:43Z

This is truly an amazing entry, I was immediately hooked by the graphics and the wonderful UI. The game feels nice to play and I really have nothing to criticise. Thank you for making this game!

Holiday Halfpipe by Marcus Otterstrom 2023-05-02T18:42:43Z

Didn't expect to play a Christmas game at this time of the year, but here goes :) It was a lot of fun playing it, although I seem to be a lot worse than some of the other players here. The sound effects were nice and the graphics looked super polished. The randomization definitely screwed me over a few times - at least that is what I tell myself :D

Freight of BOOOM! by Merrow 2023-05-02T16:51:18Z

I have to agree that the game was somewhat hard, but once you got into it, it was really enjoyable. I liked the idea and the constant juggling you had to do - to ensure neither bot explodes and make it possible for the threatened bot to shoot at enemies! Very creative and fun concept :)

That one time I became Merlin's apprentice and was tasked with destroying his... by manmantas 2023-05-02T18:34:03Z

I have to agree that the looks of this game are truly amazing. I also especially love the circling artifacts following you around! And putting the sword back in the stone was a really nice touch :D That was very creative and fun :)

Impasta by Jozef 2023-05-02T18:09:11Z

Really creative and very entertaining, I did not think of this interpretation of the topic! Well done :)

Meowxtape: Delivery by crow_seeds 2023-05-02T17:57:04Z

This is truly a gem, had a blast playing it. Only the fact that the game is not saved and no checkpoints exist is a bit annoying, as you have to start from the beginning again. Other than that, especially the game's audio is just amazing :D

PuffyCats by Iacopo 2023-05-02T16:41:46Z

Hey, it may be marked as unfinished, but it really plays like a complete game :) Love the graphics and everything and loved playing the game. Even though it made me sad to see some cats go unfed :(

PuffyCats by Iacopo 2023-05-02T17:36:42Z

@micheleleva In this case, it is even better :D One of the best games I have seen in this jam :)

Ludum Dare 53 by Beebster Games 2023-05-02T17:43:22Z

I have to admit that I also did not figure out how to shut off the underground mines, but enjoyed the game nonetheless :) It would potentially be helpful to get some pointers on how to do certain things. Is it possible to interact with the signs for example? I tried a lot of different keys but none of them worked.

Aerial Express A.M. by fuzzybut 2023-05-02T14:51:52Z

Hey :)

I have to say, I really enjoyed the game and had a fun time playing it. Surprisingly, the first level seemed much harder to me than the following two or three levels, but maybe that was just me learning from the first few failed attempts!

I only got to level 6 though until I had to give up. The birds felt too overwhelming in that level and I just could not manage to get through their swarms. This also was sometimes a bit frustrating, as in some cases, it was just impossible to dodge all birds and make the next delivery. Together with the rather high threshold for passing the level, I ended up quitting the game before finishing it. I nonetheless had a lot of fun while playing it though :)

One suggestion I have would be to allow restarting the game while you play without having to crash the balloon. Just allow pressing "R" during the level as well, so I can restart quicker when I know the birds already got me :D I also encountered a little bug, during level 6 I sometimes had multiple packages at once (did I hit space too often or maybe I got hit by a bird at the wrong time?). But overall, the game played really well.

Pizza Pete's Peculiar Predicament by Space_Games 2023-05-02T15:22:00Z

I have to say, the UI of the game is amazing! Upon starting the game, I was immediately impressed by it. While I agree that the transitions, especially for restarting, and the countdown at the start are too slow, the game itself was fun to play and entertaining.

Pizza Pete's Peculiar Predicament by Space_Games 2023-05-02T15:40:27Z

@space-games and you can be proud, the menus are really great and I hope I can reach this level of UI polish at some point!

It could be a game that torments the mouse. by ColinWeiss 2023-05-02T15:05:12Z

I really like the game and have to agree with the previous commentors. In addition, the click sound, especially when hitting multiple envelopes at once, was really satisfying too! Good work :)

The Frog Prince by Thomas Karcher 2023-05-02T17:46:12Z

One of my favourite games so far, keep up the good work :) The story, humour and graphics were great and I really had a lot of fun playing your game!

Mercury's Menace by Philocode 2023-05-02T16:44:46Z

@smoky01 Thanks a lot for the encouraging words! I will explore the game idea further :)

Mercury's Menace by Philocode 2023-05-02T16:45:51Z

@koyaaaa I always struggle to get the camera position and controls right. Even with cinemachine, it just always feels off. I will try adjusting the sensitivity and will try to improve this in the future :)

Mercury's Menace by Philocode 2023-05-02T16:46:20Z

@beebster-games Thanks for the encouraging words and for playing the game :)

Mercury's Menace by Philocode 2023-05-02T16:46:58Z

@adamlenglen Thanks for the feedback, I will hide the mouse while playing in the future :)

Mercury's Menace by Philocode 2023-05-02T16:47:36Z

@alexsandro I will try to improve the camera controls, thank you :)

Mercury's Menace by Philocode 2023-05-02T16:50:13Z

@koos I had more complex scenarioes in mind when making this, so I chose to make the guards chase the player. They are also capable of "hearing", if you jump behind them, they will turn around and investigate the position or chase you if the see you. The level right now definitely is too easy, so I will keep your suggestion in mind for the future :) Thank you for taking the time to play the game!

Box It Up by Ollyfields 2023-05-02T16:36:48Z

Hey, this was a really cool and fun experience! Thank you for making this, I had a lot of fun :) I completely agree with @klausklapper regarding his feedback. Especially the part about the green cups was very true, are they maybe falling off the conveyor belt before they can reach the player?

LD54 — Limited Space

Flob the Bloing by Branquelo 2023-10-03T17:29:02Z

As the other said, the art style is amazing and really well executed. For me, it took a bit to get used to the controls in the black zones and some platformer features like coyote time and jump buffering might be missing to make the experience a bit smoother, but I am not entirely sure whether that is true or not :D I really liked your interpretation of the theme and found it quite funny, well done!

SPACE: Spaceship Pilot - Asteroid Collision Escape by Xwilarg 2023-10-03T11:59:08Z

This was a really fun experience, even though I certainly could not beat your high score! The antenna is my favourite piece of equipment :D

Dwarf Looter by Matthieu Riboulot 2023-10-04T11:47:42Z

Amazing game, great concept and it is an incredibly impressive feat to complete such a game during a game jam. Ended up playing a few runs, coming back with an upgrade to some gear slot after basically every run. This was a lot of fun and I could certainly see this as a full game with a bit more polish! One tiny remark, I think the mimic has a wrong name assigned to it, as the attack button shows "Troll" when hovering it :) Also, a feature I would have loved to have is an inspection window to be able to check the stats of the enemies. With some trial and error, I was able to figure out some resistances of the enemies, but it would be cool if this were an additonal option which could also be chance-based on a stat or something :) Anyways, it was a great experience and I think it is my favourite game of the jam so far!

Rolling Over It by DanyVk 2023-10-03T16:19:19Z

I have to agree with the feedback of the others, I really enjoyed this game too! I am normally not a fan of this kind of game, but I found it satisfying to transform back to a dice and have some stability again. Even though I also definitely abused the fact that you can almost always reset yourself to the dice state :D

Private 621 by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2023-10-04T08:24:52Z

The game is really fun, even though I certainly could not get past the later stages. At some point, there was just too much for me going on there :D I think I encountered some bugs with the firing mechanic, one time I could not shoot anymore after I dashed, I had to click multiple times to be able to shoot again. Another time, I just started continuously firing after dashing and did not have to click or hold the mouse button down anymore. What I really liked though was your main menu, I loved the idea of starting your game like this and immediately had to try the "Flee"-option - which did exactly what I hoped it would! Great work :)

Mechanizyn by Lincolnsalles 2023-10-04T08:31:00Z

Hey, I like the concept and the simple but in my opinion fitting game you created - there certainly is a limitation to how long you can press "space" :D I did not end up getting stuck anywhere and managed to fly out of the first level even after landing on the floor. So I think the first two stages are good introductory levels that can teach about the energy system, but do not provide too much difficulty themselves. Expanding on this idea would certainly make for a cool game :)

disembARK by Crygos 2023-10-04T10:08:35Z

Great humor, a lot of fun, easy to understand and quick to play. Even though the game is super challenging, especially once there are so many animals on the screen that they start to overlap. Potentially, some of the animals could be a bit slower, but the chaos made the game all the more fun. A strategy I used was to constantly move all animals I want to keep to the front of the boat and try to keep them there while mercilessly throwing every other animal off the boat. Did it go well? Not really, but I did beat the game like that anyways (with severe casualties), so that is a win in my book!

Musk Vs Zuck for the GameJoy ( PLAY ON ITCH.IO LINK ) by Joymagine 2023-10-04T12:47:20Z

Hey, fun little fighting game, well done! It was a lot of fun to play. Just a quick remark, in my second round I was able to find a little bug abuse that trivializes the game. If you just very aggressively move forward and get both you and the enemy to stand in the same spot at the corner of the map, you can sometimes hit the enemy but the enemy cannot hit you anymore. So maybe a small collider or something similar on the enemy would be a good idea :)

Core Values by Philocode 2023-10-03T15:59:03Z

@HandsomeShan @oddballdave @sparkleypie hey, thank you for playing! I am sorry for the... difficult experience so far, the web build on itch.io should now be a lot more playable after some fixes. It still only works in fullscreen and there still may be some UI problems, but the UI should no longer be completely broken - I hope.

Core Values by Philocode 2023-10-04T17:15:01Z

@egggrass Thanks for the tip, this was part of my error! I managed to fix (most) of the problems now and will most likely leave it at that, you helped me speed up the bug hunt :)

@johntronco Thanks a lot for playing, you are right that it is much stronger that the rest, but it should still be beatable. At least if you got to get some upgrades... which was not really possible due to a small bug which did not give you scrap for losses and items not being rolled correctly, making it so that you could not upgrade your core due to too few upgrades being available. Thanks for pointing these things out to me, they should be fixed now :)

@hiding-dev You're absolutely right, there are still some things that do not scale correctly entirely. I had to experiment a bit and a UI-only game is a bit out of my comfort zone, so some things like the tooltips will just remain slightly broken, sorry

@reed-molbak I am really sorry that it did not work for you! Maybe the new build which fixes some things does the job, but thanks a lot for trying to play anyways :)

@neowedge Absolutely, polishing and adding feedback certainly was a step that was skipped due to the classic overscoping problem. Thanks a lot for trying the game anyways :)

Ma|n|dness at shopping by andrei.gusan 2023-10-03T17:23:55Z

Hey, this is a fun concept for the theme! I enjoyed it, especially the art and the animations. The game really looks amazing :) The only thing I would criticise is the fact that there is not really too much of a challenge in the game. There is no time pressure or other mechanic, e.g. a score that increases the faster you gather all items. With this as an addition, it would make for a perfect (and potentially a bit ragey) game in my opinion :D

LD55 — Summoning

Summon Death by TheMadPangolin 2024-04-16T14:04:35Z

Incredible job, I had a lot of fun playing this! The music is also amazing

Tristram by Rongo Matane 2024-04-21T19:54:50Z

All around, this was a very impressive game! The art and presentation are truly fantastic. I did however encounter a bug where a hero was not attacking and apparently could not be attacked, which meant that I was stuck watching them "fight" forever and I lost my progress. I think the only flaw I can see in this is that the fights are very uninteractive, especially after the first few encounters. The choices regarding the building upgrades were also not very clear to me, as there was too much going on for me to be able to focus on the specific upgrades the heroes bought or might have bought. So, gameplay-wise, I feel that there was more potential in this game. But the general idea and the execution are nonetheless really cool to see and I had a lot of fun playing this!

Moving In and Moving On by Artmuse62 2024-04-16T21:57:04Z

I have to say I am absolutely blown away by this entry. The sound work is amazing, the whole atmosphere is great and the story is perfect for the theme. This was clearly the work of a very talented team, keep it up!

KekLuck's Summoners Colosseum by KekLuck 2024-04-16T10:42:15Z

Really fun game, even managed to beat it first try, but only barely - this makes it seem like the balancing really is on point for this one! The sounds are hilarous and funny and the combinations of minions are really interesting. This is definitely one of my favourite games so far! There were just two things I could not figure out: what does the owl do? And does the falcon have a limited lifetime or did it just always die super quickly for me?

Slaymore by Joshua Miller-Pio 2024-04-16T16:05:54Z

I love the graphics and the art style of the game! However, I also have to agree with the comments regarding the movement and the projectiles flying through terrain. The movement certainly is hard to control and the jump does not see to work all the time - I assume this is because of the player not touching the ground at that precise moment? I also found it very frustrating to sometimes get stuck beneath platforms, I would expect to be able to jump up through them and land on them. Overall, this was a good experience however and I was very impressed with the submission :)

Blood Rite by LetsSnack 2024-04-21T16:28:16Z

I have to agree with the others that this is a great entry! One thing I would note is that the hero sometimes ends up fighting your summons in a completely different corner of the map, making it difficult for you to follow the action. It would have also been great to have a healtbar or some other indicator of the heroes and your summons hp. This is me getting really nitpicky however, achieving a game this polished and fun really is a great achievement in a game jam

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Creative Types by Rose 2024-10-23T16:04:57Z

I am surprised to say this, as I normally am not the biggest fan of typing games, but this one really is amazing and one of my favourite games of the jam! The way you turned it into a puzzle game and allowed the players to tell their own story (while coming up with good paths to the respective keys) was very nice. The only slightly problematic thing for me was the fact that my keyboard layout did not match the one in the game, which added an additional layer of complexity. But some adjustments later and I was still able to type like two tiny fantastic authors!

I'm Next! by Beeb GameCodeCompany 2024-10-21T17:30:57Z

I know it has been said a lot, but the faces just add so much to this game. It is truly amazing what even "simple" graphics can achieve when you focus on adding character to them. And the sounds are incredibly funny too!

BeetleWars by Kaspjej 2024-10-07T22:52:34Z

A cool small strategy game! It was definitely fun to test out the different unit types - which all turned out to be pretty overpowered. I think you can beat every level without taking any damage as the enemies are not very aggressive. But it was still a fun challenge to explore the possibilities of using different units in different situations.

LD57 — Depths

Hyperspacedive by marudziik 2025-04-08T12:25:01Z

The style is absolutely mesmerizing, I love it. And while the controls are simple, the game definitely isn't. Even though you mention that the final stages are reachable, they definitely are not for me :D

The Imptern by ChuChuGeralt 2025-04-08T11:02:30Z

Great job, the music slaps and the combat is a lot of fun and I managed to become the Imptern! I was wondering, is it intentional that you can buy multiple upgrades on the upgrade stages if you click fast enough?

Yummy Depths by Neon Glass 2025-04-08T11:49:04Z

Hey, I really enjoyed your game, the gameplay was simple but fun, the enemies interacting with eachother where a great touch and the music and art were fantastic

Super Mecha Diggin Dodge Idle by wheelsx 2025-04-09T18:41:24Z

Hey, this is a great game and I really enjoyed playing it, getting close to 1000m in my last run. It definitely felt really nice to see your bot speed up when you upgraded the drill and to see the different weapon types. I would have loved to have an option to control the music volume, as it was super loud

Pizza Devilery by Sariiger 2025-04-08T11:11:40Z

I can only recommend turning on the jump indicator as well - the maximum charge time of the jump seems pretty long to me and when I tried playing without it, i got stuck when trying to get up the first platform because I was apparently not patient enough with charging my jump. Other than that, it definitely does the original justice, good job!

Deep Space Delivery Office by JHax 2025-04-08T12:32:31Z

Hey, this is a very cool minimalistic game, I really enjoyed it. Sadly, the game got stuck after I purchased one of the upgrades at the station, but the cargo and delivery management was well done and I really liked the symbol-idea for signaling the destination of the planet

Deep Space Delivery Office by JHax 2025-04-08T15:55:43Z

@jhax yeah, the browser version stopped working and I couldn't interact with anything anymore. I don't remember the name, but it cost 500 I think, maybe that narrows it down for you

Deep Space Delivery Office by JHax 2025-04-08T17:09:19Z

@jhax there were still sounds playing, I don’t remember if sprites were still animated. But nothing was interactive anymore

Faith-e-vator by BadPiggy 2025-04-08T16:00:31Z

Super stylish and fun quick game, the gameplay is really intuitive and I managed to beat it pretty quickly. The controls worked great for me. But balance-wise, the heavy attack seems so much better than the light one - I think I ended up winning by using only heavy attacks and knocking down five demons at a time :D

Depthshift by Snotax 2025-04-23T18:24:14Z

Hey, this is such a cool and impressive game, I absolutely loved it! The amount of ideas you had for creating the puzzles to play with the depth is fantastic. My favourite thing was probably the puzzle with multiple balls, where you had to watch one of them to make sure its track does not disappear. Keeping the focus on what mattered made deciding on what is important for a puzzle crucial, which I think is great. Well done!

Submersible L337 by SoloAdventurerGames 2025-04-25T16:30:11Z

Hey, this is pretty cool game and made me feel a bit claustrophobic quickly. I agree that the warning light was a bit confusing and some threats were hard to see even when they damaged you (like the eels striking you, I didn't realize what was happening until it was too late). The controls were quite fun though, while they seemed unintuitive at first I quickly got into it. I would consider moving one of the artifacts/collectibles further to the start of the game, as I was getting increasingly confused if I had missed something and tried to pick up one of the glowing stalagmites. Overall, I enjoyed the experience

Depths of Death by Philocode 2025-04-08T10:11:41Z

@mrs-wheelsx hey, thanks for the headsup! Apparently there was is a bug with the "new" Unity input system and WebGL, but it should work now if you want to give it a try

Sin & Seasoning by AlexDawn 2025-04-08T15:54:19Z

Hey, I sadly also couldn't figure out how to play, but gave you a rating for your graphcis as well, as they are truly amazing. If you get around to fixing the bugs/adding a tutorial, I will have another look

Miner Complications by shamotte 2025-04-08T12:19:50Z

Hey, this was a very fun experience and surprisingly difficult! I didnt realize at the start how easily you could get stuck, but learned my lesson quickly. The pixel art is amazing and super stylized and the music and sounds are great too, good job

Deep in the Folders by Playrea 2025-04-09T19:20:23Z

I really enjoyed this, well done! This is a great and super creative entry. I did manage to beat all the riddles without too much trouble except for the zombie one which took me a bit to figure out what was the actual goal. The hints were great and the graphics you used for creating the riddles were great, as they were easy to understand. Overall, this is one of my favourite games of ld57 so far, I am looking forward to you next entries if you participate again :)

Dig Deeper by tomas88a 2025-04-08T11:57:08Z

Hey, this game was a lot of fun, but incredibly hard to get through it, especially on your first try. The graphics were great, the humour was amazing and the music was very nice and upbeat. The only bug I noticed was that the c14 device didn't really work when positioned right on top of the artifact - I had to move it around a bit to find a place for it to work.

into the forest depths by Fliegen 2025-04-08T13:10:16Z

Hey, the art is really great and I love the idea of being able to target different body parts and the different effects when you destroy them. Well done!

Shelter from the Blight by Yiraa 2025-04-08T10:46:42Z

Hey, this is a very cool take on the theme! The graphics are great, and once I understood where to place buildings and that the "cannot place this here" notification also occurs when resources are missing, I progressed easily through the first layer. But I got stuck on the second one, as I was suddenly missing wood, but could no longer gather any - which also meant that I could not build any new buildings. If you find a way to fix this or facilitate the progression, I think this would be a fun "idle" game

. by protzz 2025-04-08T12:55:41Z

Hey, this is a very cool game and I can definitely see where you drew your inspriation from. Good job, it's incredibly impressive what you achieved in this time!

To The Core by izzqz 2025-04-08T16:04:17Z

Hey, this is a pretty cool idea - very much like flappy bird, but on the other axis. I really tried, but didn't manage to beat it, but it clearly is intended to be somewhat hard. The game also looks great, well done!

Poor Julio... by Sayeg 2025-04-08T17:07:15Z

You did an amazing job at creating the right mood and character for the story. It was super emotional, well done! I don’t think there are many games with this sort of depth

LD58 — Collector

Goomba Simulator 2025 by LandoSystems 2025-10-07T21:16:25Z

Hey, what a great story! I loved the aesthetics, the backstory and the music. I sadly didn't manage to finish the game, as my jump action stopped working after I interacted with the Koopa (turtle guy?) and I also did not get it back after I changed back. Nonetheless, I had a lot of fun playing. This is a super polished entry, you can be proud - now and 10 years ago!

Fighters Keepers by Kyrio 2025-10-12T16:22:59Z

Very cool and interesting idea for a game! It was a bit of trial and error for me to figure out what works and what does not work in the fights, but after getting the hang of it I really enjoyed it and the absurdity of just eating anything in your way to win the battles

Broke Custodian: From Dust Till Display by outstar 2025-10-07T19:44:57Z

What a great entry! I really love the take on the theme and the relaxing but still realtively deep gameplay. It is very impressive what you managed to add in this short frame of time. The only thing I am missing a bit are volume controls, but that is very much an extra for a game jam

Have a nice Reap by JuanRod707 2025-10-07T21:40:10Z

Very cool and atmospheric, I really liked the sounds and the ghost sprites. I was not a big fan of the "combat" though, it hardly seemed worth it. The red portals were a great addition though, so you had to make sure to navigate around them well. The first time my ghosts got sucked up I was a bit confused as to what had happend. Good job on creating this great entry!

Wavelength Collector by andriybyelikov 2025-10-07T20:02:10Z

Very cool and very tech-demo-y, I really like the color combinations you can get while carrying one/two of the orbs and then looking at the ones that are still there. Really cool implementation and an inspiration to take a look at ray-tracing at some point!

DRUNK HUNT by Jacky San 2025-10-07T19:21:25Z

Damn, this was really hard! I had a lot of fun playing it, but the later stages were almost unbeatable for me. The game is super polished and very well done, good job. One thing I would have loved are volume controls though

Drone Collector by kkritikov 2025-10-12T16:08:16Z

Hey, this was a great game to play! I really liked the aspect of adding the small drones that would help you, but almost missed that. Maybe it would make sense to communicate this part more clearly to the player - nonetheless, I had a lot of fun!
