LD22 — Alone

Abandoned Planet by Wahooney 2011-12-19T11:50:00

@EvilDemonCreature: I hear you, I definitely want to improve the use/pickup/carry mechanic in the not too distant future.

In all honesty I bit off a whole lot in this project and certain aspects didn't get the attention they deserved, like my Hope mechanic (which is going to be awesome once it's done and dusted!)

Thanks for the crit though, it makes me stronger ;)

Abandoned Planet by Wahooney 2011-12-21T07:10:00

sanonjian: is that after the intro screen? I tested on chrome now and it gives me the same result. If its the same error then it's because it's a streamed build, so it would download the intro level, then start loading the main level (the black screen). I've just uploaded a new version where the entire game is downloaded at the start.

Tested and working! Thanks for the heads up!

@someone: If I have time today. I'll put up a new build with the ability to skip the intro and (maybe!) some instructions in game. Thanks for your input :)

Abandoned Planet by Wahooney 2012-01-06T18:37:00

matthias_zarzecki: I definitely agree with you on all your points, some have made it in already, not in the currently online version though.

Thanks for the feedback.

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

LAIR M.D. by RetroEpic 2014-04-29T13:01:00

Really cool! Difficulty curve is a challenge though! I keep killing my dudes :'(

Balancitos by NickZangus 2014-04-29T12:56:00

I love the graphical style and the background jingle :)

CTS by Ping78 2014-04-29T12:46:00

The other path is a lie!

LD35 — Shapeshift

Arnold Stallion's Pump or Die by arzi 2016-04-20T05:13:00

I love the poses and the premise. Reached the end of the world pretty quickly though.

LapidemMortuis by Pomb 2016-04-20T05:04:00

Really cool art and animation. I like the pace and the mood of the environment.

I'm Scree! by Jimjam 2016-04-20T05:03:00

I like the innocence of the monster. "Feel what it feels like." :D

Art and game design are top notch!

FRAG.MENT.ED by dammit 2016-04-20T05:45:00

Interesting experience. I like the mood and style, the switching fonts and rules were really cool, I think it did it's job putting me off ease. The first time the text changed I did wonder if I was nuts, cos it was different the first time I read it :P

Rating this for fun was difficult, because while the experience was a good one, calling it "fun" is a bit... wrong.

Impulse by Docjekyll 2016-04-20T05:28:00

The music is cool. While the game is functional and strangely moreish, it wasn't challenging enough to keep me going past the second level.

The Maitre D by SeaDads 2016-04-20T08:32:00

Really enjoyed this one, like the stretchy "bleh" sounds :D

BLOB Passage by Per 2016-04-20T05:08:00

Matching your shape to the portal can be a bit too tricky, especially when the portal is facing away from you.

Not bad overall.

Infinite shifter by Martins 2016-04-20T05:56:00

Strangely addictive.

Shifty Thing by Wahooney 2016-04-20T07:31:00

Thanks for the feedback, peeps! orkybitz, I agree with you on the light being op, have a cunning plan. I'm going to post a new version with some tweaks (I'll mark it for LD-clarity).

Shifty Thing by Wahooney 2016-04-25T20:15:00

Thanks again, everyone!

@Freank, sure thing ?

@siryakko: already happening ?

Shifty Thing by Wahooney 2016-04-25T20:54:00

Pardon the ?s, they were supposed to be emotes :P

Shifty Thing by Wahooney 2016-04-30T17:49:00

@joemid: you have a ways to go, my college has 54 ;) my best is 44 :D

Linear Motion by Pitƶik4 2016-04-20T05:33:00

Interesting concept, not like anything I'd seen before. A bit more of a goal would be a good idea, but overall quire cool and strangely addictive.

Boat! by Kaffeefleck 2016-04-20T05:15:00

Possibly a bit too short.

Under The Tree by Feng 2016-04-20T05:55:00

Interesting, if a bit long. I love the dog :D

Edge Shift - Blackhole by Danoli3 2016-04-20T05:18:00

Looks cool, but overall couldn't figure out what to do or how to do it.

ApeShift by amandapanda 2016-04-20T17:02:00

I can't run this game.

LD42 — Running out of space

CRAMMM: Totally Accurate Studying Simulator by tuism 2018-08-20T19:55:02Z

Love the style and polish, I played on PC, but mobile with multiple fingers may be a pretty cool way to play this, great job all around!

Get Comfortable by mcccclean 2018-08-15T19:05:53Z

Cool simple idea with surprising depth. Multiplayer would be great.

Humans Need Space! by Ayxs 2018-08-16T00:45:56Z

It's pretty weird, but cool weird. Like a clown under a streetlight at night. The music fits all the sweet loving the humans must be doing to populate that quickly.

.S by torcado 2018-08-14T19:31:58Z

This is great! I get some serious N++ vibes from this one and it has the same addictive quality.

The National Library of Geometric Impossibilities by nanolotl 2018-08-15T21:35:18Z

I enjoyed this very much, tangential application of the theme which is always fun and really cool retro art. I appreciate the fact that there's no fall damage, so I can feel like a bad ass book in correct place placer. I did notice a lot of pops when traversing what I'm assuming are portals.

Checkout Simulator by Fengol 2018-08-20T19:42:25Z

Your game is reminiscent of papers please, with some of the same tension, especially when you miss scans and double scan. This could make an interesting job simulation VR game (with a little graphics work, obvs :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ).

The Swarm by Wahooney 2018-08-14T20:18:11Z

@monetai: Thanks! I have submitted a new build that fixes some performance issues, bugs and some balance.

@plukers: Glad you enjoyed it! I only realized the mouse bug after submission. I need to look into that.

@earnso: I was going to, but unfortunately the current build doesn't work on Mac, I'll need to change some things to get it going. Watch this space!

The Swarm by Wahooney 2018-08-15T00:52:19Z

@earnso Mac build is up, you should be able to play now

The Swarm by Wahooney 2018-08-15T22:05:48Z

@lootgrounds @thatsommes @robo-chiz @swift @bredera @jlv @fakefirefly @swift Thanks for the kind words! It's so cool to know you like it! @thatsommes the new version should perform MUCH better now. Unity HDRP is not suitable for all situations :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@swift it's not really FOR removing boxes, the boxes contain useful items :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

@mrsylar59 Thanks for the feedback, I have every one of those issues on my list for future updates already  I just feel that implementing them now will skew votes, so they'll go in down the line.

PS Could I ask you lovely people to rate my game on Itch? I'm really trying to get my cred up there, thanks! :joy_cat:

The Swarm by Wahooney 2018-08-16T08:52:53Z

@noah-beckman Thanks for the feedback! (EDIT: you can kick the crates open in the latest version :thumbsup_tone1: ) Everything you mentioned is either on my list already or going on there now. I suggest trying to get to 300 seconds  There's a pretty cool surprise

The Swarm by Wahooney 2018-08-17T13:19:01Z

@zlabya Thanks! I've not won yet so i can't say for sure 😜 @noah-beckman got to 250 secs, so it should be possible, but it won't be easy. I may send out a balance release to ease it up a bit.

The Swarm by Wahooney 2018-08-21T10:51:05Z

Thanks for the feedback @gregwlyons @chrissx2. I just tested and I see what's happening, looks like a bug in the new Unity Input System. I'll see if I can get a patch out for that soon. You can mitigate the effect by moving your window to the top-left of your screen.

@andrei9 @erikiene @timbelion Thanks!

The Swarm by Wahooney 2018-09-04T10:44:38Z

@evangreenwood Not nit picky at all, I've been tinkering on The Swarm in my spare time and I've already addressed many of the issues that you've raised, so great minds and all that :P

Thanks for the feedback!

Little Shop of Junk by auxC 2018-08-21T12:47:14Z

I really enjoyed this, it gives me serious overcooked vibes, which is never a bad thing. It would be cool if the customers took the items off the desk as you give it to them.

Love the visual style

There is Never Enough Space!!! by Jamie Rollo 2018-08-15T19:47:46Z

Nifty little puzzler. Put me in mind of a Warioware game, small mostly unrelated mini-games, but still tied together by a familiar thread.

OutThere by mrsylar59 2018-08-15T23:57:53Z

Interesting use of the theme, I enjoyed it. Took me a while to figure out that the penguins were killing me :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

LEO by Bracula 2018-08-20T19:59:37Z

Cool idea, some power-ups for bullet-time or the like would be great. Otherwise great stuff!

Bug Squasher by erikiene 2018-08-21T12:09:04Z

[EDIT] Oops! Sorry! I rated the wrong game here!

As a non-touchtyper I found this pretty challenging, cool idea overall.

Detox by FiloGC 2018-08-15T20:48:06Z

Really addictive, moreish gameplay, I can see this with VR wands being very fun. I really like the lo-fi rasterized graphic. Great stuff!

TINY TOWNS by BearishMushroom 2018-08-14T19:20:55Z

Cool little puzzler, would work great as a mobile game.

Boxcorp Employee Training by boaheck-artgent 2018-08-14T20:10:10Z

I like the idea and the graphical style, but the controls are way too finnicky, I found it very difficult to get anything pushed/pulled around to my satisfaction (which I guess is kind of the point, but I may have gone a little too far.)

Accurate Exam Simulator by Yasaman 2018-08-14T20:15:10Z

This was definitely a goofy one, but I enjoyed it. I like the little touches like the broken arm and the watch actually showing the exam time. Took me a moment to realize why I was getting Xs but I figured it out in the end :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Loot Keeper by outstar 2018-08-14T20:44:02Z

Cool idea, I do think though that a fully mouse based UI would be better, or fully keyboard for that matter, as it is switching feels pretty awkward. Having the hero carry on without you would be a cool idea too, would pick the pace of the game up if the timing were out of the player's hands.

The Flesh Pit by frankiesmileshow 2018-08-14T19:57:36Z

That's pretty messed up, like a bad fever dream or a day at the beach. Besides the controls needing a little tightening up, I enjoyed this. MEAT!!

This Way Up by Virtual Window 2018-08-20T20:14:25Z

This would make a cool multiplayer game (I only played single player). The characters do move infuriatingly slow when carrying the lighter packages, switching that up would allow for some strategy.

NOOR by PNghasemi 2018-08-15T21:08:41Z

Great style, the central mechanic is pretty cool and the dialog I saw was well written and entertaining.

Acreage by pomb 2018-08-14T12:29:27Z

Nice one, @pomb. I like how the player actually builds and explores the world and you still end up with surprises. Cool stuff!

OVERLOADED by rainysolar 2018-08-15T20:36:58Z

I enjoyed this concept, the action when clicking on the passengers doesn't always seem clear (but that could just be me). Having to pile everyone back in after a stop is particularly funny. A mobile version of this would be pretty fun.

Escape From Pompeii by ThatSommeS 2018-08-16T00:11:46Z

I like the concept, but I feel the feedback loop for the beginning of the game should be a bit tighter, I had to play 3 games (1 rescue, 2 deaths) before I could afford anything and unfortunately I hit a bug where the continue button wouldn't work. And the controls feel a bit grindy, if you could tighten those up you could have something really special in your hands.

Edge Of Space by Valden 2018-08-16T00:52:45Z

Love the visuals and the sound track is awesome, great work!

Loneliness by Saering 2018-08-15T20:59:28Z

The game looks great, but unfortunately I wasn't drawn enough to play for more than a few minutes. I saw slenderman twice and that was fun, but the game needs a bit more of a driving force, ie. some sort of goal besides just walking and opening doors, if there was something to discover in the rooms (like being able to read the notes, etc. [can you read the notes? I couldn't  ) it would have had more holding power.

I know it may seem that I'm being overly hard on the game, but I do feel there's a lot of untapped potential in here and I hope you explore this idea further.

Will Survive by foxserranu 2018-08-15T20:07:05Z

The game looks great, but unfortunately the experience is a bit shallow. More challenges and mechanics, like having hallucinations that reduced the player's space over time, forcing them to take alternate routes, would go a long way to add to the experience.

Dungeon, Demon and 2 Walls by Yulia 2018-08-21T12:24:06Z

This is great, I like the graphical style. Some telegraphing on the eye lasers would be great though.

Night Shift by lootgrounds 2018-08-16T00:02:40Z

I really enjoyed the visuals of this, and I like the work-a-day schlub style games where weird things happen.

GRIDLOCKED by bradleypollard 2018-08-16T00:29:19Z

Really cool idea, definitely would find a place on mobile. Took e a round or two to figure out I didn't need to use all the numbers for each wave :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Edge of Abyss by Swift 2018-08-16T00:36:00Z

Interesting idea, it needs a bit of polish but you have something here. Some on-boarding would be a good idea, but there's definitely something to explore here.

Move_LD42 by Diablo 2018-08-20T19:36:59Z

I enjoyed Move, but I feel that there should be mouse controls too. Straight line to the cursor type controls. And moving diagonally should conform to the level's perspective, it's a bit difficult to navigate when movement and space are misaligned.

Stuck! by chkkll 2018-08-14T19:42:00Z

Cool idea, mucking with physics errors to comic effect. And really cool, clean visual style. There doesn't appear to be any sort of progression though, which would help overall.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Build a Bridge by TimBeaudet 2020-10-26T11:42:39Z

I really enjoyed this one. Your aesthetic, while simple, is very appealing. I would have played for much longer, but... that camera, that took me back to GTA1. By the time I had fixed two bridges I was quite nauseous, I didn't hold this technicality against you in my ratings, but fix that and you have something that can go somewhere.

Paradox by Wahooney 2020-10-06T16:37:55Z

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

@hjeldin: I noticed that after the final upload :scream: I want to continue this game so that will definitely be fixed

Paradox by Wahooney 2020-10-06T19:21:24Z

Thanks @elbbard  You're absolutely right, internally those are Tears, Paradoxes, and Cataclysms. The black one is the wormhole. I couldn't fix that bug in my dialogue system in time so my on-boarding efforts kinda died :slight_frown:

Skinner Dungeon by UnluckyNinja 2020-10-16T15:51:31Z

I enjoyed your entry, I played until the enchanter told me to go through the portal but there was no portal o_O And I dig the micropixel art aesthetic.

Now for the biggest criticism: the controls feel really stiff, it feels like you have the if(up) moveUp(); else if (down) moveDown(); system going for your movement, which can lock out axes when pressing multiple buttons when play gets intense. That aside, a few more monsters and locations and you have the start of a promising twin-stick souls-like here.

Gravitron - 2047 by RAC-Games 2020-10-16T15:25:32Z

I like the idea, Just Cause 3 meets Portal inside Syndicate. You got a really good mood going. The controls are a bit stiff though, took me a while to get a reliable jump-dash going. All in all, pretty good.

The Looper's Path by UnidayStudio 2020-10-07T23:03:34Z

Really cool, and similar to my entry. It would have been 5/5 but precision platforming with a fixed position tracking camera is a cardinal sin of game design so you get a 4/5. Looks really good though and has legs for a larger game.

Nuclear Loop by Gorr 2020-10-06T19:37:54Z

Hey, I finished this one! I enjoyed it. Sokoban is much easier when you don't snap to grid :smirk:

Bype by GameWolves 2020-10-26T11:47:35Z

That's the weirdest take on tower defense I've seen. I approve! I enjoyed your aesthetic. But I think that the gripping mechanic needs to be nerfed a little, it feels a bit too effective.

Blueprints by David Hunter 2020-10-06T20:12:09Z

I can see what you were going for but I feel the controls need a bit of tightening. Cool idea though, I'd like to see it taken further.

The Dark Wages by dmtroy 2020-10-26T11:36:08Z

I really like the look of your game, when the objects float while you're carrying them that kinda threw my perspective though. It has a bit of a 2.5D Stanley Parable feel to it which I find appealing.

That the offices get more disorganized the deeper I went was really interesting, not sure if that was a bug or a feature, but I liked it nonetheless.

Grave Juice by Firebelley 2020-10-06T15:47:59Z

Pretty good, has some legs to make it as a standalone game. Doesn't adhere too closely to the theme IMO, but that's alright. Pressing R is a bit of a stretch when things get hairy though, pressing E felt more natural.

The Stone Maze by Sunblast 2020-10-16T14:55:29Z

Pretty cool concept, sokoban meets Inception somehow. I couldn't finish it, but I enjoyed what I played.

8BEATS by DangerBlack 2020-10-06T15:32:34Z

Cunning use of the theme. Took me a while to realize that I was supposed to collect the 8beats with my cursor, I eventually read it in the tutorial text, but I think some sort of in-game hint would be best. All in all I enjoyed it.

Loop Eat by Wikers 2020-10-07T22:42:50Z

That was some Dadaist brain trip, but I'm not sure what I was supposed to be doing... Avoidning the things? Hitting the things? Cool title screen though.

A Boy and his Ghosts by Rolly 2020-10-06T20:20:36Z

Brilliant idea! (mine is very similar )

Chrono Curse by Hermitao 2020-10-06T14:49:04Z

Good graphics and a cool interpretation of the theme. The camera was a bit nauseating though and the sound fx gets drowned out by the music a bit too much. All in all pretty good though.

Infinite Loop by bordonne 2020-10-06T20:04:03Z

It helps to be a programmer

Stranded by Robonaut121 2020-10-16T16:12:12Z

Your game has a fantastic aesthetic and mood, but it's let down by not being able to do anything to protect yourself from the monsters (hiding in a locker would do), think Alien: Isolation, less Alien: Colonial Marines ;)

How to rope a cow by Duck Reaction 2020-10-06T19:46:30Z

WTF did I just play? Funny as hell though.

Vampire Problems by Nuckelavee13 2020-10-16T15:36:50Z

I didn't play for too long, but I can get a feeling of where this is going and it's got potential (I have a huge softspot for quirky vampire games and your vampire design is really cool).

My major problem with your entry is player feedback, I never knew when I was attacking or if my attacks actually landed, same for the enemies attacking me, never knew exactly what was going on with the attacks. Get that feedback going and you're on the road to getting a great game going here.

Ghost Cubed by Patrick1 2020-10-06T19:19:07Z

It looks cool and plays pretty well, the perspective (or lack thereof) makes it a bit too difficult to navigate the world. If you can figure that out you'll have a winner here.

black_box by Fraxle 2020-10-06T14:56:20Z

Solo Among Us. I approve.

Stuck in a Loop by Lena Taylor 2020-10-07T22:32:38Z

This reminded me of an ancient ZX-Spectrum game called Storm, for that alone points are awarded. I also liked the design of the bot.

Out of Time by madhed 2020-10-06T20:33:31Z

Took me a while to realize I could pick the tiles up. But after that I got the gist of it. Pretty cool.

No Grave Too Shallow by Skiffage 2020-10-06T14:52:13Z

I get nauseated by certain graphics very easily (not being mean, just some visuals make me a bit woozy) the underground bricks in particular were a bit much for me. I also found it difficult to aim and the weapon impacts could do with some work. I like the setting though, a debt spiraling grave digger is pretty grim.

Kill Me Plenty by Blood_Jackal23 2020-10-06T19:56:05Z

Pretty cool. I did find the death/trap change location thing a little too unpredictable.

Resurrection by etrealjunior 2020-10-07T12:40:52Z

Kind of reminds me of a Game and Watch title. Cool interpretation of the theme.

oh shit i'm dreaming again. by Smarto Club 2020-10-26T12:04:57Z

I only got about 4 layers deep, but I can see where this is going and it's pretty cool. Making your text selection could be clearer, the colour change felt inverted to me, so an arrow or something would be cool. Something that drove me a bit nuts was that I couldn't stand still and turn, so if I want to turn in place I need to walk away and walk back in the direction I need to be to interact with the object I want to interact with (I understand doing that with things like the dollhouse will be rough, but doors, posters, etc. you should be able to turn without moving.

All in all, cool entry.

Get Over Yourself by SpawnCampGames 2020-10-11T21:54:24Z

This is really cool. The making your path solid thing gives it a feeling like you're playing TRON against yourself.

Did you use ProtoTexture or Texture Grid Generator for this? Those textures look might familiar ;)

Corporate by Peche et Tradition 1867 2020-10-06T16:00:59Z

I really enjoyed this one, it would work very well on mobile. Some temporary buffs would be cool, hiring a floor manager gives you a productivity vs boredom meter per floor, a radio slows down a floors rate of getting bored, a coffee machine makes everyone overdrive their productivity but then they all crash hard. I could go on. The sound design is pretty good too, though I would make it that each floor's soundscape reflected the overall production vs boredom ratio (if that IS happening, I didn't notice :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ). All in all, good game.

Edited: REALLY bad grammar and spelling.

Getaway Portal by BiancaMello 2020-10-07T23:12:14Z

Great graphics. Decent sound. Vehicles are a bit janky, but getting the vehicles as stable as you did in a jam is still very impressive. Rocket League meets Portal meets Hi-Octane, has legs for a full game if you add multiplayer.

Loopero by Polymorph 2020-10-16T14:44:52Z

Nice shump, and I appreciate the ring arena as a loop hustle, solid respect. With some more polish this would be a cool mobile time-filler.

LD53 — Delivery

Delivery Squares by Elementary 2023-05-03T15:51:58Z

I enjoyed this, but once you get enough juice in the main box the challenge basically goes away, some sort of adversary that knocks the juice on of you in transit might be a good idea. But overall it was fun.

And now what ? by Nicso 2023-05-02T16:11:42Z

Really enjoyed the visuals. The orthoganal controls threw me off more than once, and a bit more challenge in the combat would be nice, but enjoyable overall.

Strange Zoo by khaotom 2023-05-03T20:51:00Z

Took me a while to figure out what to do, but I enjoyed the game once I did. The controls need a bit of work though, I actually got quite frustrated at times, especially with keyboard controls. All in all a good game though, probably one of my top 5.

Pet Delivery by tanis 2023-05-01T09:21:13Z

Not bad. The catapult is far too sensitive though, and the graphics could be a little chunkier, difficult to see exactly what's happening.

Infant Interceptor by voidraizer 2023-05-01T09:43:22Z

I can't play the game, before it can load I get this error message in the brower: Unable to parse Build/Build.framework.js.gz! This can happen if build compression was enabled but web server hosting the content was misconfigured to not serve the file with HTTP Response Header "Content-Encoding: gzip" present. Check browser Console and Devtools Network tab to debug.

Tried reinstalling multiple times, tested in the Itch.io app and Firefox.

Elite Delivery. Pizza Dangerous by boddiul 2023-05-01T10:15:00Z

The game is fun but starts feeling very samey pretty soon (or maybe I don't have the patience :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:) I love the homage to the classics, and I like your aesthetic.

The launching slice, spinning/empty chamber, pizza canon is inspired.

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-01T09:59:36Z

@douwe-ravers Thank you for the kind words! I added the audio an hour or so before the compo ended, be happy you got ANYTHING!!! I'm pretty sure my headphones were cranked to full, so my mix was TOTALLY off :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@emily-ttg Thanks for the feedback! I struggled with that bug a LOT, that part of my blueprints are spaghetti with all the exceptions I try to handle :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-01T14:27:20Z

@fnelix Thanks for the compliments

@john-gabriel Not intentional, just a happy accident :paintbrush: Though I did consider adding local multiplayer for 7 seconds, then I saw it was 3 hours to deaadline :stuck_out_tongue:

@torte478 Glad you liked it :thumbsup_tone2:

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-01T17:49:08Z

@tanis ~~I'll see what I can do. I could probably build it but I have no way of testing it, so I hope you don't mind being a guinnea pig~~

Edit: Seems I won't be able to make a Mac build, AFAIK I need to build a Mac version on a Mac build of Unreal Engine 5 (that I must build myself on a Mac), to make a Mac mode. MAC!!! I've never been able to build UE5 from source and I don't have immediate access to a Mac.

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-01T21:56:37Z

@tanis yup, 5.2 preview 2, I walked on the wild side. Good thing I didn't use the new PCG tools cos they crash on packaging 🤣😂🤣

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-02T11:39:39Z

@pincushion, thanks for the feedback! I was worried about aspects. I was going to try something more like Overcooked where the game happens in a defined area. I had a tracking camera, but it felt disorientating in the later levels.

@daandruff, thank you. I actually did bite off a LOT more than I could chew initially  That's why the game is called Space Docker, but the project source is called Smugglers Tale. Most of what you played was made on day 2, I actually had a spaceship the player could get onto and pilot to other stations to drop packages off. Getting onto the ship, piloting and all that is implemented, you can probably still try it in the source (if I didn't break it in the mean time :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ), but there's a technical problem in the UE character controller where the character would jump to a different location when taking control of it again. This game was supposed to be MUCH bigger, so that bug probably saved my entry.

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-02T19:33:23Z

@philocode Thanks for the kind words. I had that issue a few times myself, but couldn't quite get my finger on why.

@vydra Can you give me your computer specs? Any error windows or anything to work from?

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-03T15:18:03Z

Thanks for the kind words @salvation  I know about the bugs and I have the spaghetti blueprints to prove it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-03T21:21:48Z

@aaronkaa Thanks for the kind words! Music would have been great, unfortunately I have the musical talent of a flatulent donkey so maybe in the future I'll find someone to make some for me. I'll check the package loss out, it's not a bug I'd experienced before.

@captaindreamcast Thank you  There are a lot of ways to play, I'm glad how emergent strategies started showing themselves. Especially when you can get into a rhythm of throwing packages perfectly into their bins over the void of space.

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-04T07:22:44Z

@xandruher Thank you for the kind words. I do want to revisit this and add some actual balance to the levels (I made all the levels in about 30 minutes, and the timers were just guesses 🤫

@wighz Thank you. I'm going for a more Overcooked! style game than a puzzle, but I agree that more elements would be good.

@dzejpi Glad to give your PC a workout, the packages float because they are in zero gravity (when not over a platform), I didn't have time to explain that in the game, but yes, completely intentional

Scooter Mania by daandruff 2023-05-02T16:02:25Z

You missed an opportunity calling this Death Scootin, it felt like I was playing a cartoon. Some animation of the packages falling in the stacking scene would be great. Had fun with this.

TapirBoy by ruthiepee 2023-05-01T09:47:36Z

I found the controls a bit frustrating, I got caught on bushes a lot. I do appreciate the Paperboy feel and with some control polish this could be quite fun.

Deliver Them by baknik 2023-05-03T20:42:01Z

This was a fun one, played it all the way through. Took me a while to figure out you can buy shields and I'm grateful they recharge on the mother ship. No real criticisms, but I would have liked a smoother transition to the mothership, but I'm just spoiled :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Packontra by CaptainDreamcast 2023-05-02T21:45:19Z

Okay that intro is WAAAAY too long :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:, it was funny though. I enjoyed the gameplay though

Derry by Rakowu 2023-05-03T20:25:21Z

I like the idea, but I feel the controls, jumping in particular, are a little fiddly and lets the game down a bit. A little polish on the controls and this will be great. It gives me Grow Home and Blueberry Garden vibes. I enjoyed your visuals too.

Zero gravity delivery by island-jam-2-group-3 2023-05-03T15:24:41Z

I like this idea, and I had fun but I feel the one hit kill is a bit much. When you have an almost complete tower and the wrong color box comes in from the side there is nothing the player can do to avoid losing. Having the wrong color box hit attached boxes should maybe just destroy that box or even a bunch of boxes, but a box hitting the paddle should still be ain instakill.

Goods With the Wind by Juutis 2023-05-01T09:26:09Z

I think there's potential here, but the controls are quite fiddly for what the player needs to do. I was unable to deliver a single package :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Give this game tighter controls and a better camera and it will go places.

Swallow Express by Tomssuli 2023-05-03T13:35:18Z

This was quite enjoyable, but something that was really difficult for me was that there wasn't enough visual separation between the background and the obstacles you bump into. That made the eagle section too tough, IMO. But overall it was fun and kept me going for quite a while.

Flingshot by John Gabriel 2023-05-01T09:55:23Z

I found this strangley absorbing. I would prefer if I could adjust my aim a bit sooner after firing (waiting for the truck to land feels a bit painful sometimes). Also, allowing for a truck to miss but slide/roll onto the target should count, but with a lower score. Overall pretty fun.

Zip Drone Dash by SirLich 2023-05-01T09:06:26Z

Overall pretty fun. I'd just give a bit more grace when gliding when we've run out of power, dropping like a stone feels weird, and some subtle particles in the air would give some feeling of movement when there are no pickups on screen.

Purrfect Pizza & Fish Delivery by Adrieldf 2023-05-01T10:40:20Z

This feels like a DS game, that's probably a good thing. A full keyboard option would be nice. Overall pretty good.

Skyway Delivery by Pincushion 2023-05-02T15:55:17Z

I like the cyberpunky feel to this. The controls are a bit stiff though, I think that and a slight camera angle change could do alot for the gamefeel. I also got the cutscene thrust bug :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Pedal Panic by fnelix 2023-05-01T10:48:06Z

Pretty good, the one hit death is a bit frustrating, but otherwise I enjoyed this.

CropCopter by Douwe_Ravers 2023-05-02T15:40:21Z

I enjoyed this one. The drone controls feel really good, I'd have preferred if collecting items didn't require the mouse click though, like having something on the drone that we had to get onto the collectable, that challenge would have been great. Otherwise great stuff.

The Silver Fleet by KyleTheCoder 2023-05-01T10:44:22Z

Can't play the game, get the following error: Error The following features required to run Godot projects on the Web are missing: Cross Origin Isolation - Check web server configuration (send correct headers)

That is playing through the itch.io desktop player and Firefox.

The Envelope by DzejPi 2023-05-03T20:05:04Z

That was pretty good, I feel hitting the monsters is too difficult though. I like the mood and the visual style of your entry. Good stuff.

Lost at Sea by willm 2023-05-03T19:36:35Z

I'm a sucker for sailing games, Wind Waker, Black Flag, etc. Even though I couldn't play much because of technical issues (text scaling, duplicate town names in the map, overlapping text) I still really enjoyed this. I hope you take this further.

Winter Factory by Jul._.li 2023-05-03T15:32:00Z

I like the core mechanic here, I just feel that maybe the pace should be picked up a little. It feels like something that was designed for mobile, which isn't a problem :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Good job, and great visuals.

Sole Deliverer by FoggyDude 2023-05-03T20:58:15Z

I like the idea, but I kept on getting bugged on the ladder, most of the time I tried climbing a vertical ladder I'd start limbing down from the top (which is particularly painful with the time-limited ladders), instead of climbing up as intented. I also enjoyed your visual style.

Rolling Pizza by Ruslan Kossak 2023-05-01T09:39:08Z

This gives my CalGames vibes, which is good. Getting past the pedestrians is a bit annoying, keyboard controls would also be great, switching between sides with the mouse is a bit too fiddly for me.

Ultimate Package by Triangle Point 2023-05-01T10:32:23Z

I enjoyed the Moist Critical simulator  the playform controller feels both stiff and floaty, weird as that sounds. I got the ultimate package though. Feedback for when you actually hit the boss in the final fight would be good, I didn't know I was doing damage until he died (and I died like 5-6 times :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

Space Cannon Delivery Service by Chuckiee 2023-05-03T21:15:54Z

This was good. I like your graphical style, but I am deducting half a star from graphics for those scaled down moon graphics with the tiny pixels: I don't make the rules, I just enforce em. Otherwise this is one of the top games I've played. The music reminds me of the combat music from Ur-Quan Masters, which gains you a half star on audio. More levels and puzzle elements (and bespoke moon graphics) and you'll definitely have something for Steam/Epic.

Slime Delivery Service by protowlf 2023-05-03T20:15:12Z

That was fun. The progression was very intuitive, interesting puzzles. Got a minor bug where the movement sounds were playing as if there were 3+ slimes running around.

Bloody Boxes by Augmotic 2023-05-03T15:15:25Z

Interacting with the boxes feels good, but I have absolutely no idea what I was supposed to do. It was also very dark and seeing what's what was very difficult. The box sounds were funny though.

Nightmaremaid by vydra 2023-05-02T19:46:45Z

I really like the feel of the game, it feels otherworldly and nightmarish, but the game itself is quite difficult to play. I found myself stuck in corners quite often and finding the customer was quite difficult.

WeDeliver by LoopInteractive 2023-05-01T10:07:02Z

A smoother ramp into the game would be nice, it's a bit overwhelming having so much thrust on you so soon.

Looks good.

Famous Delivery Man by justslavic 2023-05-03T14:45:25Z

Fun runner, I enjoy the visual style. I did get a few hits that I shouldn't have but otherwise fun.

Sambar Scamper by Daniel Gelband 2023-05-02T21:23:29Z

Is there a windows build on the way?

Sambar Scamper by Daniel Gelband 2023-05-03T13:41:50Z

I really enjoyed the visuals, and I actually cheated a few times by bypassing most of the roads, but that becomes tricky in the later levels :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Something that might be interesting for the late game is getting money for deliveries, and you can buy single attempt powerups, like rope to slightly increase the stability of your stack.

Good entry overall.

Delivery of the king by KingZero 2023-05-03T13:59:07Z

I like your visual style and I feel there is a bigger game in there. The only real critique I can give is that the input feels a bit stiff, changing directions feels a bit harsh.

Dire Delivery by AristoRat 2023-05-03T13:49:00Z

Despite it's simplicity, I enjoyed this a lot. I love your art style. The music was way too loud though :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Rotating the structure could be an interesting experiment (around the center of mass), cos in the late game there is very little to do to shield the cows.

Taent by Emily-TTG 2023-05-02T16:04:31Z

Windows plz!

Taent by Emily-TTG 2023-05-02T21:17:11Z

That was an interesting experience. Your VO is pretty funny, and the ending is definitely a vibe. I just found the slow movement VERY tedious, not sure if that was intentional or a Windows porting issue. That inconvenience aside, I enjoyed it.

Mercury's Menace by Philocode 2023-05-02T19:39:40Z

I like the overall experience, the animations in particular sparked joy. The camera feels a bit weird, and the pickup could be made more visible when we have direct line of sight.

Overall I enjoyed it.

Pixel Stranding by campalans 2023-05-01T09:16:54Z

Can't play the game, loading bar doesn't move. Most likely a problem with the LD site, an itch.io upload may be the way to go.

Disruptive Shipping Services by ConcurrentSquared 2023-05-02T21:37:47Z

Took me a while to figure out that I had to hold the mouse button to hold the package :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: The sound of the boxes colliding got a little grating after a while. That said, it held me enough to see it through to the end so it was definitely entertaining :metal:

Pizzapocalypse by Grayce 2023-05-01T09:32:51Z

I enjoyed this. I'm an inverted look guy, so having that as an option would be nice. I like the way we drive over the pizza after delivering :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
