Pretty graphics and a cool concept. Good job!

anchorlight 2020-10-05 00:28

I really like this take on the "loop" theme. All in all, well done!

My only real issue is that it feels like the transition from orange $$ to red $$ particles can be a lot slower than the actual transition to a slacking employee. I found that I would frequently hover over employees to find them slacking when they looked to still be putting in some effort.

bobparis75 2020-10-05 17:26

I really like the atmosphere you create.

bukkaketears 2020-10-05 18:42

I was expecting way more games about life in big corporation from this Theme. This one is cool, the endless loop of rotating workers. Graphics is fine, music is fine, mood is on point. Got me busy for few minutes. Nice entry!

tristan10cats 2020-10-05 18:47

Cool graphics, the game really sucked me in. At first it was a bit hard to understand what was happening but once I did I couldn't stop firing guys. Like the mood and general idea. Good job!

darthdeus 2020-10-05 18:48

Really liking the idea. The mood is dark and the aesthetic/graphical part fits it quite well. My only problem is with the actual fun after a little bit of time. Each additional floor increases the anxiety, but maybe having an overview of all the floors would help? I'd be interested in seeing if the mechanics could be expanded into something playable over longer periods of time.

arscene 2020-10-05 19:46

@darthdeus Yep we totally agree with your point. We want to try something a bit different for the employees, something like working for a long time would increase the salary of the employee and decrease its productivity. The goal would be to get rid of the "Working" / "Idling" states. I think that having to actually spend more time planning on which employee you will fire next would increase the fun overall.

Anyway thank you for your feedback, it's much appreciated !

squareworx-studio 2020-10-05 19:47

Haha that feeling when a whole floor gets fired, makes you wonder, is laziness infectious? I honestly had the need to purge all the employees in the business, I know I learned one thing from this game, do not put me in a position of power! I go crazy very quickly. I will say this was a fun one! my favorite aspect is the camera bounciness and the satisfaction of getting rid of them lazy employees. Nice!

cuoshen 2020-10-05 19:49

The movement and sound effect is quite nice! Love the minimalistic graphics too, and how each room got its own vibe.

oaksguard 2020-10-05 19:54

I liked the sounds, the office supply, keyboards, uncomprehensive mumbling as the workers get tired/bored. The graphics are great as well. The only problem for me was that Sometimes I could not fire workers behind shaders. But the idea of the chairs in the least expected places suits well with the gameplay.

floboc 2020-10-05 23:18

Very nicely done, I like the idea and the finalr esult looks very polished :)

I loved the graphics of your game, remember my game. I found it confusing to understand the mechanics. Good job

chakaramba 2020-10-06 10:20

That sound was one of the best-matching for all of the entries I've seen this year

2020-10-06 10:26

Great game but wasn't this game a submission to another game jam?

ghost20000 2020-10-06 10:39

Great game!!! Loved the sound design, loved the graphics, loved the gameplay. Only complain I have is that sometimes it would be hard to see all of the employees, so maybe a freely rotating camera would have been better than a 4-corner one like you used. Other than that, amazing job!

towergame 2020-10-06 10:40

I am a huge fan of the chatter ambience, makes the game feel like an actual lively office. The movement was *really* smooth, moving between floors felt really snappy. The gameplay starts to feel a bit repetitive after a while, though.

wahooney 2020-10-06 16:00

I really enjoyed this one, it would work very well on mobile. Some temporary buffs would be cool, hiring a floor manager gives you a productivity vs boredom meter per floor, a radio slows down a floors rate of getting bored, a coffee machine makes everyone overdrive their productivity but then they all crash hard. I could go on. The sound design is pretty good too, though I would make it that each floor's soundscape reflected the overall production vs boredom ratio (if that IS happening, I didn't notice :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: ). All in all, good game.

Edited: REALLY bad grammar and spelling.

ramelio 2020-10-06 16:05

@wahooney Thanks you I really appreciate your ideas! I hope that we could have those features one day !

palemek 2020-10-06 20:39

Really polished clicker. It was oddly satisfying to fire my employees over and over again, loved the camera 3>

mrbamboo 2020-10-08 03:41

Good job, good concept !

noteworthy 2020-10-08 05:57

Really nice game! It's got a simple loop, uses the theme well, and it is pretty easy to learn, but still gets very challenging as the game goes on. The art style is really nice, and the office vibe is certainly there, your ambient noise is great too! Is that a stock sound effect? Or did you just layer in your groups VOIP chats during the Jam as noise? Really great entry! :D

hoolop 2020-10-09 13:44

Very cool concept, simple to learn, cool to play, more and more challenging. Great job ! I'm waiting for a full version ;)

battlerager 2020-10-10 13:30

Graphics and audio did a great job creating that office atmosphere.

High production value for sure!

Rotating the office rooms to get an angle on these employees was cool. I didn't quite get how / when the game suddenly - is it on a timer? Anyway, I enjoyed this one.

oroshix 2020-10-10 14:35

Really loved the concept, it was fun and a bit addictive, so nice job!

spawncampgames 2020-10-10 14:40

LMAO, No Slackers on my WATCH!! Great game.. Fast paced and just overall fun.. Love the amount of polish, as well.. Cheers!

zaibakk 2020-10-10 14:51

Very nice and addictive game! I played it a lot and reached near 1M capital value! At some point is impossible to continue! Nice job!

arscene 2020-10-11 10:21

@battlerager It is not on a timer, you are one of the employee yourself. Once your profit is negative you loose. Thank you for your kind words.

@zaibakk Nice job ! You are near the devs high score :)

Thanks everyone for your feedbacks and kind words, it means a lot !

pedrocoden 2020-10-11 16:58

Nice game!

saltfactory-studio 2020-10-19 21:38

Even through the screenshots I could tell how polished the game is, the art truly creates a dreary corporate atmosphere and the UI is clean, comprehensible, and to-the-point. I like how you've implemented your levels with your camera system in mind, finding sleeping employees in these nooks and crannies makes it essential to use all the mechanics in your game. Audio feedback for player actions was on point as well. All in all, an incredible submission for this game jam!

skleembof 2020-10-26 17:01

I got to the 6th floor and made $483,750. This was both fun and depressing. The more I expanded my corporation, the more I found myself dehumanizing my pathetic employees.

This is was genuinely a lot of fun but it could definitely use some more mechanics to keep the momentum going. Eventually there will be too many floors to keep track of by yourself so maybe you could buy managers to maintain productivity on the floor and maybe even auto fire employees if they walk by a sleeping one. I'm sure you could come up with a lot more upgrades to liven up the gameplay if you spend more time on it.

Also, I think some sort of overview of the building would be necessary so that you can jump to specific floors that have unproductive employees.

This has a lot of potential and I hope you keep working on it
