LD47 — Stuck in a loop

PolyFury by Dom Harris 2020-10-06T16:53:44Z

Really love the gameplay, the controls are a bit slippery, but it's a great, challenging experience. I also love the added strategy layer of taking out the "shield" hexagons first to make the attacks easier to defend against.

Re-Slash by Croxel Studios 2020-10-06T17:22:13Z

I am a huge fan of this, especially the Hotline Miami-esque aesthetic, the gameplay is really innovative, it looks like a simple hack and slash game at first, but then you start racking your brain about how to make the loop work. Really great game, I love it.

Corporate by Peche et Tradition 1867 2020-10-06T10:40:14Z

I am a huge fan of the chatter ambience, makes the game feel like an actual lively office. The movement was *really* smooth, moving between floors felt really snappy. The gameplay starts to feel a bit repetitive after a while, though.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Drilling With Dice by KunoNoOni 2021-04-30T17:26:38Z

Interesting concept, I really dig the idea, it's pretty interesting, kind of a like mining yahtzee lmao I did get a weird bug with it where it kind of crashed on me and made it freeze all input. Music still played but I couldn't do anything. Might be some weird issue with firefox? Not really sure, but I attached a picture of how it looked: bug.PNG

Secret Floors by Quetzakol 2021-04-26T22:20:35Z

I really liked the game, the text messages were pretty funny, I loved them. My one issue is that I had to peek in the solutions file (thank you for adding it to the downloads on itch.io, it's a really helpful thing for puzzle games) because the second code did not appear on the wifi code thing for me and I had no way of looking at floors above or below me.

Lonely Journey by blockerz 2021-04-27T10:20:21Z

I loved the game, the messages were great, especially the Uranus joke. The gameplay felt a bit grindy at times, since waiting for enough fuel to set the course to what it should be took a good while. Did give me a lot of time to perfect my strategy though, I think the quickest way to get fuel is to turn off all science instruments and the loop through filling up the power and turning it into fuel at +10 speed until you can get the course to what it should be.

Flood Fill Miner by Baturinsky 2021-04-29T11:36:23Z

This game is simple, yet extremely addicting, I love it, wonderful job!

For King, for Freedom and for Law! by Douwe_Ravers 2021-04-26T19:01:29Z

I really love the idea, it was pretty fun running around sniping the Dutch with my Belgian soldiers. However, I wish the aiming mechanic was a bit more intuitive because it took me some trial and error to figure out how to shoot. I still have no idea how to make my soldiers actually aim at the enemy and not just accidentally shoot one another. I love the friendly fire mechanic, that's always funny :P

Past the Final Frontier by towergame 2021-04-26T19:17:50Z

@samguy That's intentional, there are no components past tier 5. I just forgot to make the upgrade screen check to prevent the player from upgrading past tier 5.

Past the Final Frontier by towergame 2021-05-01T20:14:12Z

@dzejpi Admittedly, the Cockpit is a bit of a remnant of a mechanic I didn't have time to implement. There was supposed to be a menu documenting the mission progress with some flavour where you sit and watch the rocket actually go there, but I realised that it'd be a bit too finnicky to implement and I was already bogged down with other things, so I left it as a "if I have the time" thing. The Cockpit was intended to decrease travel time, which, actually, is still tracked and used to influence the mission success RNG quite a bit. I didn't quite have time to properly think through the balance of the RNG, so it might just be that the time decrease isn't worth the additional weight the cockpit adds :P

Ludum Dare by She Wrote 2021-04-26T19:52:30Z

I really loved the art, it has a neat style. I did find the meteor sound effect in the very beginning to be a bit ear piercing. I did like the idea of the game, pretty interesting!

Defiled Reflection by BidentWorks 2021-04-26T18:46:21Z

I am a big fan of the sound effects, really gave me that sense of urgency that I don't want to be around when the lights turn off. I also enjoyed the puzzles, they were pretty challenging but, when you finally got the timing right, very satisfying. Dying did seem a bit weird, had a bug where I died twice whenever I died and then in one puzzle with the moving enemy at the very beginning, I was able to move despite being mid-death animation.
