I cant download the game
Amazing! I loved this game so much, I did not expect such a good puzzle!
A real gem for anyone looking for a fun puzzle that's very well made ♥
Hey @sunblast !
Your game caught my eye because I'm very into this sort of simple graphics and oldschool feel so good job on that one.
I was happy to realise that even there is no music you took the time to add sound effects which are well chosen ! Special mention for the sound when you fall in a pit which is very pleasant.
The sokoban mechanic is pretty intuitive so I picked it up very naturaly, however I could not for the life of me understand how to go through the level, I thought maybe you could fill the holes with the rocks but I found it impossible to push them over there due to the layout of the level.
I thought maybe there was something around the white tiles but later guessed that they were only for decoration ?
Would love to hear back from you as I think I may have missed something !
Feel free to check my entry and give me your opinion !
Thanks
Damien
Short game with interesting mechanics! Hard to figure out at first what you needed to do, but once I knew it made for a really good puzzle mechanic. I was able to soft-lock myself without realizing tho, so spent some time just wandering around not knowing what to do. Had to reset the game and I could finish it. Nice game!
very cool puzzel, once i got the hang of it i couldnt stop playing and finally did it :)
The undo key is nice but when you want to undo a lot of things it takes very long so thats something you could improove, everything else was good :)
A very simple but clever game! The puzzle mechanic was fun and challenging, even though I got stuck and had to quit in the end :) The gameplay is intuitive, and the lack of music actually does work rather well for this mood. Nicely done!
@golden-gold I checked the download and could not see any issues, perhaps Google has some issues at the time? Should work fine now.
@guaranteedtrainwreck The white tiles represent light, as in there is a level above with a hole connection them, if you move the blocks to them it has an effect on the level above.
@humnyn I think I know where you got stuck, one of the last puzzles features a mechanic that is a little hidden :)
Lastly, thanks everyone for the feedback so far!
@sunblast
Riiight ! Ok this makes much more sense now, perhaps a little lightwell effect around the white squares could help make this a little more obvious.
But knowing this now, I can say the game is very enjoyable, there is a lot of trial and error and backtracking to check how your changes in one room affects the others which is not as tedious as it sounds.
Although having a slightly more obvious layout between two rooms would maybe help with the gameplay (I know its a maze and the feeling of getting lost is part of the game but maybe easing the player into it would be nice)
Thanks for the reply and keep up the good work !
Cheers
Wow this is one mind-blowing little puzzle game! At first I thought it was a simple sokoban but then you slowly and subtly reveal all sorts of hidden mechanics. Really understated, from the visuals and audio right down to the puzzles themselves.
It really cleverly sets up a puzzle with a seemingly simple solution, but when that solution didn't work I became really stumped! But some careful analysis of changes in the wider level give you all the info you need to uncover those mechanics. Gives a fantastic "eureka" moment when you do!
I even had to do a complete restart once as it had taken me so long to even realise I had made a mistake. And I mean that to be taken as a positive, just shows how intelligently made this thing is.
Such a smart game and perfect length too. I'm a fan! Would love to see what this would look like if you expanded upon it though, really curious how many more layers of complexity could be added to the mechanics and puzzles.
Interesting puzzle-mechanic, but the further I went, the more boring it became. I think if you did some music or animations the game would be funnier.
The gameplay is polish, but now is the time to innovate, some puzzles i really enjoy and can be more fun. Be careful with the player is understanding the game journey, in the beggining you must give some tips for in the middle/end the player go alone.
Wow great job on the puzzles! This game is actually exploring some very interesting mechanics! I would love to see this developed further. However: - The game does not explain to the player the mechanics. And dont get me wrong, you dont need to put a tutorial text to tell the player what to do. Finding out by exploring is also a possibility. But then you have to make it very obvious to the player! For the first time when you put stones on the white things for example you could have had that happen on the same screen so the player would know what the white things mean! ;) - Also it feels like you are very unforgiving to the player. I always had the fear that I will block myself for moving a box somewhere in a corner and that I couldnt revert it. Yes trhere is a revert button, but what if I made 1000 steps after than and only then recognize my mistake? You should think of how to overcome this.
But outside of that, great job on all the amazin puzzles! :)
Very nice Game, but a bit...confusing to be honest. The Camera felt pretty weird...
It was also pretty frustrating to walk so much to get back to the puzzles.
But I really loved the Idea!
Cool concept for a game, fit the theme well. Could have used a tutorial on the controls at the beginning and on how the blocks work. Also some music would have gone a long way!
Pretty cool concept, sokoban meets Inception somehow. I couldn't finish it, but I enjoyed what I played.
Wow, mind-bending game! Very cool take on the theme. I enjoyed discovering the mechanics of the stones (but indeed, an example on one screen would have been easier). Very clever design how the game parts loop, and how the stones and holes were distributed. On my first try I got a bit stuck on what else I could do, but on my second attempt I had a fresh look at the level/part with the double player (very cool by the way), and found the end. Awesome job!
