LD44 — Your life is currency

Cat Outta Hell by tifu 2019-05-17T19:56:13Z

All in all a super well made game! It was fun and engaging the whole way through and just the right length and difficulty. Super well executed considering the time frame. There came up a few bugs (where I'd glitch through a platform or spawn over the lava) a few times, and controls were sometimes a bit wonky- but lots of things to do and try and generally impressive.

Music was especially fun, I really loved how the instruments changed depending on how you played! Good job!

Mind Over Matter by MZA 2019-04-30T20:04:07Z

almost got to the end but couldn't figure out how to get past a large jump, sad times but lovely game still!

it is very atmospheric and well made! simple, enjoyable and appropriately difficult imo

Your Life, My Currency by Jayometric 2019-04-30T20:17:53Z

has a lot of style and fun personality! art and style was solid, and sound design good as well.

couldn't get past the first level, but I guess I am a lousy judge of character lol. was a bit unclear what was good and bad since there was no other feedback except for end-day stats, but maybe that's just part of the challenge- it was fun either way!

Bioenfluencer by caevv 2019-04-30T19:46:11Z

creative game and superb idea! only thing I missed was a clearer objective and an idea of what I was doing

Animal shopping by Grommit 2019-05-03T12:00:16Z

[*insert scathing review here*]

Perfect Date by limbo 2019-05-17T18:30:21Z

Very fun concept, extremely confusing, but good all the same! Takes some time to understand and is a bit hard to get into, but easy to keep playing and be interested in getting the different endings! Lovely art too. :)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

HamStuck by Tommy 2020-10-11T13:34:27Z

This game looks and plays really well, the crazy music really complements the objective and mood. It seems pretty polished too, but some more indication of the wheel moving/responding to your mouse would be really helpful in the beginning since a lot of people (myself included) got confused and tried a bunch of stuff before realizing what actually works. Also the fail animation... did not expect that. Had to stop playing pretty quick LOL.

Confined by Flaterectomy 2020-10-10T18:20:51Z

Very nice and simple little web game :-) I wish there had been some audio feedback or music, it would've definitely helped with the ambience you were going for. But the narrative was great, and the script was very polished and easy to read. Good job!

Groove Interpolator by Spotline 2020-10-08T18:37:45Z

Very fun idea, haven't seen a lot of games like this :) Solid functions, I especially like that you can scale different parts of the loop by dragging the handles. Sets it apart. Would've liked some more sounds and longer length, but it works for shorter periods.

Looplex by aviv871 2020-10-08T20:26:29Z

Cute little puzzle game :-) Though I could not for the life of me figure out how to progress, even with the whiteboard walkthrough haha. Overall a good mood, and you did great following the theme!

LoopBreak by Belonzik 2020-10-08T18:02:02Z

A very fun and intuitive game idea :) Plays smoothly and looks cute despite it's simplicity. Unfortunately I didn't get very far as I couldn't get the switching between recordings to work, I guess it's because my laptop doesn't have a numpad. Nevertheless a solid jam game!

Are We There Yet? by JudgeZedd 2020-10-07T11:06:28Z

I enjoyed playing this little game, for a compo it's a very solid entry. I found the audio especially charming, though it was a bit disorienting that nothing happened during dialogue. The intro was also kind of abrupt, I didn't catch what the dialogue was trying to say and the instructions were quite wordy. However, the rules and game-play were straight-forward enough and it was engaging once you got into it. I agree with the others, more variation would've been great. :)

Pufferfish Panic : Proliferating Pressure by Teanan 2020-10-11T15:13:26Z

This is easily the most fun game I've played this game jam, and I usually don't even find most of these games fun. Five stars in that regard... I sat there for a good while cackling as the game got progressively more broken. At some point I spawned a bunch of pufferfish at once and the whole game lagged so much that the audio kept going (broken) probably 30 seconds after I closed the tab. Horrifying, and so worth. I hope you get some more players, this is really good stuff. Thank you for your good work!

Temporium by Untitled Studios 2020-10-11T13:20:10Z

Very creative portal-esque game, liked it a lot! Puzzle mechanics were introduced perfectly and got progressively harder, really scratched my head at that last one but managed to get it in the end. My only wish is that the next futuristic dog-food-game you make features real dogs! Kept hoping for a super-intelligent manager pooch to show up :wink:

Temporium by Untitled Studios 2020-10-13T13:40:40Z

@untitled-studios haha awesome to hear! Good job on this, I'm sure the post-jam version will be great! :dog:

Caterpillar Cowboy by eldogg 2020-10-08T20:08:30Z

Nice caterpillar game! Wonderfully nutty and fun. For a jam there's so much polish in the gameplay and content. Such good progression, good job!

Home Sweet Home by mediyaz 2020-10-11T16:02:51Z

Beautiful game, you really nailed a calm yet engaging type of gameplay. Browser version was indeed a bit slow, but it's pretty easy to overlook. Really nice idea and execution! Good job.

Caterpiloop by Marcus Otterstrom 2020-10-07T12:14:49Z

Hey everyone, sorry about the mess! We're working on fixing the builds, it'll hopefully be up soon. :-)

Caterpiloop by Marcus Otterstrom 2020-10-08T19:27:52Z

@dmitrygalias We put in like 21 spawn slots... any more than that and the game would probably break. Luckily it seems like nobody will ever reach that limit, I don't think we managed to top 5 either :-) Hopefully that answered your question, thanks for the nice comment!

The Stone Maze by Sunblast 2020-10-07T13:41:35Z

A very simple but clever game! The puzzle mechanic was fun and challenging, even though I got stuck and had to quit in the end :) The gameplay is intuitive, and the lack of music actually does work rather well for this mood. Nicely done!

Copy by mauricioscherer 2020-10-10T15:32:35Z

Cool idea! I am usually pretty bad at puzzle games and though I agree some of the puzzles could've been harder or more creative, I think you did a good job. I think the one that worked best (imo) was the carpet button one, it was a lot more subtle which left room for thinking, and in extent satisfaction once you got it. :)

Regguman by NinjaCatz 2020-10-07T15:01:32Z

Cool game! The art and audio mixed really well, made it very atmospheric for being so simple. Was happy for the walkthrough though, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to do. Since the description is random and depending on whether you have your head or not, the hints aren't very intuitive and I got lost a lot lol. Didn't help that the map layout was so tricky, but I guess that was part of the aesthetic.

Choo Choo Loop by thunderkerrigan 2020-10-07T11:52:12Z

Really fun idea, I just wish the game-play was more coherent! Right now there's not a clear goal or instructions on how to accomplish it, I mostly found myself trying and failing a lot until I caught onto how to play. Even then, I had to look in the comments to understand the goal of the game, which considering the spawn-rate of the trains seem a bit too challenging. But with some optimization this could be great. :)

Wild Loop by Cerebral Bore 2020-10-10T15:53:58Z

A game with a very unique visual style, I liked it! Though some more content would be great, I feel you really nailed the theme of the jam and the fact that the dialogue changed every day helped show some sort of progression here. The art style really fits the mood, and though the audio is nice I have to agree that it kind of clashes with what's happening in the game. Maybe a bit too cheery/laid-back? Though it did fit the location you went for, so it's something. :-)

Little Pirate Adventure by Bauke Regnerus 2020-10-08T19:21:08Z

Really enjoyed splashing around as a little vanilla sailor trying to find the best deals, you know it's a good game when you get excited about trading one(1) food for one(1) money. Great concept and execution, I only wish there were some more variation. :) As others pointed out, an end-screen would've been nice to avoid some confusion. But adding the treasure was definitely a wise decision!

Hold on granny by Anrewqa 2020-10-07T13:08:57Z

Great idea! The graphics and level design is wonderful, though the narrative is a bit fast paced and leads to a lot of confusion. Glad there was a walkthrough though! The overall performance and mood would've benefited a lot from audio, shame you didn't get to implementing it. :)

Lucky Lefty Loves Loops by TheBookSnail 2020-10-10T19:01:12Z

He must be very uncomfortable at parties, he just can't seem to get out of his shell... great game though! Very polished. :)

VINYLED by Kamuniaft 2020-10-10T17:14:18Z

This is a really nice jam game! Only thing I missed was really some sort of tutorial page or indication of what to do, but despite that it's still fairly easy to get into. The difficulty-level was very comfortable, challenging but not too hard to finish. Creative style and graphics, even the itch page was pretty! Good job to the team :)

(Nu) Da Drum by Trexxak 2020-10-09T15:23:35Z

A very sweet and unique game, I really like the concept of what you were going for here. Unfortunately the game was pretty much unplayable on my laptop, the resolution was completely bonkers and the fullscreen/window function seemed pretty bugged. I found the controls aren't very intuitive because I had no idea what to do, but that definitely could be fixed with some patching up :)

MUGEN by GOD COLO 2020-10-10T19:57:15Z

It's a very fun idea but yea it could really use some balancing. The colours changing without indication is kind of a bad idea for good player experience, I think with everything else going on in the screen, you could settle for just the player changing colour and still have it be pretty difficult. Even then you might wanna implement some visible/audible timer, because as someone said you can't really keep that in your head while playing.

Game itself plays well though, and the graphics and audio complement each-other nicely! Just wish I could win too

Chromen by CaiClone 2020-10-10T19:33:54Z

This is a really likeable little game, I loved how you portrayed the theme. The mood and narration is just wonderful, and quite an accomplishment in such a short time! The gameplay is really creative too, and though it's a little hard at times it's definitely not too much. I just wish I'd been able to read the dialogue more, I couldn't really split my attention from what was happening at the conveyor belt. But as someone else already mentioned, more exploration into the world and the game mechanic (like the customer who changed his mind) would be really fun, because it makes for such dynamic and interesting gameplay. Good job on this! :)

Newster - A Fantasy Social Media Sim by NamidaSai 2020-10-10T12:53:52Z

A very polished compo game, definitely an interesting take :-) I liked that there was a lot of consistency in each refresh, getting to follow all of the narratives was more engaging than I expected! It is a bit repetitive but the amount of different posts kept me playing until the end :-)

Foreached by Puncherbear 2020-10-09T12:22:46Z

This is a really nice foundation! Of course, there are some bugs here and there, but it's playable and looks like it could be real good with some more work :) Despite its' flaws it has great atmosphere!

Bob Bear Loop by Igor Silva 19 2020-10-08T18:20:44Z

My cave was filled with poor bipedal armless baby bears. The way they fall over and ragdoll really reminds me of spore. Good times. Respawn time is maybe a bit long, but the death noise just doesn't get old. Overall not a lot of content but still a fun play :)

Wash machine loop by DmitryGalias 2020-10-08T19:38:44Z

Ladybug solidarity! This is a really cute and original game, love your take on the theme. It was a bit hard to play, mostly a bunch of bugs that jeopardized the experience. For this reason though it helps that the game is fairly short, the highlighting of usable objects was a good touch.

Hotel Mobi by TheCreator 2020-10-07T14:24:18Z

Sweet and relaxing game. The simplicity worked well for the mood, and the music along with the slow-paced gameplay was very atmospheric. For this big area here isn't a lot of content though, so slowly zooming 'round and 'round looking for the one thing missing for your tasks got a bit tedious. Some guidance would've helped, maybe a minimap or arrow? Or just moving the camera around would've been nice too. :)

Whorl by ZerstorenHV 2020-10-10T17:30:42Z

Wasn't sure whether I was going to play at first, but the very positive comments sounded promising so I downloaded it... unfortunately I can't seem to get it to work. Don't know what I'm doing wrong? I tried downloading it again but it won't open. :/ Screenshot 2020-10-10 193026.png

Death Day by Nekopi 2020-10-10T18:30:25Z

Looks really neat, but a lot of computers can't open .rar files on their own, you need to download software for that. Making the files .zip is very easy so I would definitely recommend that! Would love to play so let me know if you do.

Death Day by Nekopi 2020-10-10T19:16:54Z

@nekopi Thank you! Downloaded it and it looks great, although something might've broken when zipping it because I can't seem to use any of the items I've found? At least if it's supposed to be click and point or click and drag or something, interacting with an object with the item in your inventory doesn't work either... but maybe I've just missed something?

Death Day by Nekopi 2020-10-11T12:48:44Z

@candlelight ahh I see, thank you! A way to access that keymap mid-game would be great, had some issues reaching the main menu without restarting the game again. Did play it through now, can tell you put a lot of work into this!

I really appreciate the visuals and audio feedback, it was both high quality and atmospheric. I got a bit spoiled with the gameplay but it the "puzzle" of figuring out what to do still seemed pretty intuitive and straight-forward, even if I could've used maybe a bit more clearer objective (such as "lay a trap"). The bugs can kind of take away from the quality of the game, which is unfortunate, since I really like what you've got here otherwise. All in all, good job team! :-)

Big Fish by Cyberdream 2025-10-08T12:03:41Z

Oh, the atmosphere--I'm there. Loved this little game! Simple and straightforward concept that feels polished and cohesive. Really tricky but somewhat fair and you can improve with practice. Nice! I never understood how to use the space button / depth control though, it was just too crazy lol

DDD: Thanks to the Power of Day Drinking I’ve Achieved God-Tier Cap Collection by MnemosyneVL 2025-10-08T12:27:54Z

Finding out you could switch channels with the bottles was fun! Wish there were more interactions like these, they added a lot. The switching between E and LMB was a little confusing, especially when you try to do cycle through bottles as fast as possible. And yes, drinking was sorely missed! Or at least, having the option to :eyes:

Bug Bequest by Bea 2025-10-09T14:48:15Z

Cute little game! I like the take on the theme and interesting controls, if a bit hard to control. Had two bugs on the table that refused to be picked up, but maybe I'm not a very good magician :sparkles:
