Very atmospheric and a lovely interpretation of the theme. Well done on all fronts. Especially impressive for being under Competition rules.

Very atmospheric and a lovely interpretation of the theme. Well done on all fronts. Especially impressive for being under Competition rules.
Interpreted the theme really nicely, the systems work together well and it was a good relaxing time, I thought.
Sometimes simple is the best, and sometimes things haven't changed much over the years because they didn't need much doing to them in the first place, and I think that's where I am with this. Really simple concept, well executed, fun time.
This was fantastic. Completely terrifying, in the way that I expect I'd feel if someone broke into my house. Properly atmospheric and I think you've nailed the mood and tone so well.
The presentation's great, really aesthetically pleasing. Once I got into the mechanics of it, I found myself really enjoying the moment to moment challenge. Maybe some kind of tutorial or easing in with the complexity, but you only had 48 hours and I think you've done really well for that.
World needs more dinosaur platformers, to be honest. Big fan. I like how many mechanics you were able to accomplish in 48 hours, and it's really very impressive the breadth of level design you included.
This is amazing. Really got that 'one more go' about it. In fact, the smallest bit of feedback I have is to suggest that the gameover text shouldn't blit in, and you should instead be able to die and basically immediately restart. Which is essentially saying I'd like to play more of it, quicker. Which I think is a positive.
Fun and clever little mechanics in this, which I thankfully went to after reading your most recent commented explanation, which helped. Good experience.
Really clever little concept, well executed and easy to understand. Looks great, plays smoothly and doesn't outstay its welcome. Exactly what I want from a gamejam game, really.
I followed the road. I was fine! Really great little game, well assembled and very polished for a weekend.
Interesting little experience, and really impressive having it pulled together in a weekend. I like something like this that can play with interactivity and our expectations of a game to highlight some real world issues in a novel way. Very nice.
Got that retro PC game aesthetic that makes me think I should be playing it on a CRT monitor on an old IBM. Which is good, because I'm all about that. Really fun little game, but I got a bit lost and I think you've managed the scale and scope well for a 48 hour project, without letting 'feature creep' affect your ability to finish.
I was SUUUUPER bad at this, but it was still an engaging experience. Really clever and simple mechanics, implemented well and a great presentation within 48 hours.
Aw, that's a clever little concept, well executed. I don't mind that it's short, it's a neat little experience that shows a lot of promise if you wanted to take it further.
Clever and adorable. Really intelligent design that I spent about 20 minutes trying to figure out through each puzzle, and had a great time doing it, too.
I enjoy a game that makes me feel smart at the end of it, so I enjoyed this one. Really impressive in a weekend, to have such cinematic presentation. Clearly worked very hard on it, and I think it shows a wealth of talent behind it. Good job.
It's a fun and tight little action-adventure game. The grindy nature definitely fits the theme, and the combat roll is really satisfying. If you're looking to take it further, I think you've got a solid base here.
@klaaswag I promise, it doesn't. It's an issue with an exported Clickteam Fusion executable that they've been made aware of. I give you my word, if you find anything truly nasty in the executable (other than the graphics...), you can publicly drag me on twitter. @ZayneDoesThings
Very neat little Sokoban-type game, with some devilishly difficult puzzles. I felt incredibly smart for about five minutes and then got immediately stuck once we got to side tables with books in.
You did a good job. So did I, apparently. Did you do the voice acting yourself? If so... Good job. Also, stayed up all night playing with my Bionicles. Zero regrets.
I actually didn't have too much trouble with the controls, felt like the flight controls in a few older games. Camera was a bit wobbly but it wasn't particularly in the way, or anything. Good job! Nice simple game, well executed for a weekend.
I ALSO strongly suggest playing the Windows version. I did that and had myself a fun time. The physics do take some getting used to, but I think what you've put together over a weekend is very impressive. Had a really good time in the end, and the atmosphere and tone of the game I think is a shining standout.
It IS a bit confusing, but it's worthwhile learning the mechanics because the complexity is very rewarding. Plus then I get to play TimeSplitters 4, so...
Very well executed, and a lot of very polished work for a weekend gamejam submission. Had a great time with it and I think you've got a solid basis for something more if you wanted to take it further.
Neat! I'm bad at it, but it's neat. Had a good time with it, so well done.
Presentation's so lovely. Great little puzzler, very clever and fun to play!
Never felt so sad for a satellite before. Gonna go and have a word with NASA about not being mean to the ones up in space, I think. Really nice, very polished and comprehensive for a weekend's worth of development. Very good indeed.
I concur with your recommendation for headphones. Really engaging experience with the audio implemented and I found myself engrossed for quite some time. Well done.
Very clever, nicely implemented and a great little experience. Lot of work for a 48 hour gamejam, and very impressive.
The presentation on this is so brilliantly done. Very clever implementation of mechanics and a pleasing experience from start to finish. Well done.
I'll be honest with you, I spent an inordinate amount of time on the title screen making the protagonist dance to the music. It's very catchy. Also, the game's good. Great use of theme, very mechanically sound and really polished. Excellent.
Neat little ideas wrapped up in quite a lot of polish, and an impressive achievement for a weekend gamejam.
You get bonus points for putting in effective and fair mid-level checkpoints. That shows a degree of consideration for the player which games like IWBTG don't always have, so it's nice to see. Also very consistent with the jump physics and controls, and I think you've succeeded at everything you intended to do with this. Definitely a hardcore platformer.
I would ask though, if a tower is going DOWN instead of UP, isn't it technically a cave?
'Simple but effective' would describe this well, I think. Has a lot of that 'one more go' about it and I think you've implemented and iterated on that idea really well in 48 hours.
I did not manage to alter reality. ): DID get stuck in a loop, though. So I have to give top marks for the Theme.
I managed to get people believing what I wanted them to believe pretty quickly, which is a depressing and poignant utilisation of game mechanics. Really fun and interesting game, with a very simple concept that plays out with (I assume) quite a lot of complicated thought underneath. Very good job.
Slightly creepy, in a good way. Had a great time with it, think you've done a great job to get a solid experience together in 48 hours.
Neat little game, humorous and fun to play around with the physics. Great time had, really good for a weekend. Well done!
There's an absurd level of polish on what you did manage to finish. It's one of the most impressive 'weekend' submissions, visually, I think I've ever seen. I love games like this, just wish I was smarter when I'm playing them, so I appreciate that what was here was quite simple. Will be following along the development closely if you're taking it further.
You know this already, but there's nothing quite like a simple idea, done well. Execution is so vital in a weekend jam with a hard time limit, and I think (having watched your devlog) the process you went through has led to a very refined idea, that plays with a deceptively high level of player complexity and skill ceiling. Awesome output, as usual. :)
Frustrating, but in a good way. The physics are consistent and gives you room to move towards mastering them. Soundtrack is also clearly on point, and I look forward to looping it on Spotify.
Very atmospheric, and a great experience. I mostly just sort of poked around for a bit until things happened, which is probably what I'd do in an actual farming environment, to be honest. So it's clearly deeply realistic.
The graphics are, frankly, horrifying. But in a pleasant way. The mechanics are really in-depth considering it was done over the weekend, and I didn't even get particularly mad when occasionally they just decided they didn't much fancy doing anything today. It felt like I was babysitting a bunch of toddlers. Drunk ones, pretending to be pirates.
This is all positive feedback, by the way.
Nice and relaxing, please make a series of loop cat plushies. Thank you.
How wonderfully meta! The presentation was great, I love the simplicity of the gradient glows and the pitch shifted noises for the different characters' speech. Reminded me of WarioWare, with the variety of control schemes, and I actually snorted laughing at the ending. Nice.
Absolutely nailed the point-and-click aesthetic, and you've got the puzzle creation down to a tee. Excellent little game from start to finish. Fits the theme perfectly, really charming, all around briliant.
Haven't had a nice classic roguelike in a good while, and this is a really excellent and 'pure' one. Well done for 48 hours, definitely.
That was INCREDIBLY atmospheric. Terrifying, really. Lovely time, but I'm glad I played it with the curtains open. Very impressive for 48 hours.
Nicely done. >w<
Very clever indeed. Really neat little mechanical playground, which took some getting used to, but once I'd mastered it, I had a great time.
Successfully managed to save my marriage, so I'm going to call that a win. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go and throw playing cards at my girlfriend.
Well, this was unsettling! Lovely time had by all (IE me) and I would definitely like to see it taken a little further, but please don't make it too horrifying.
Very satisfying twin-stick style shooter, with a neat implementation of the theme. I thought zombie games were overplayed and done, but I'd never played as a track runner trying to just get my laps in with a shotgun before, so clearly, I was wrong.
I feel ever so slightly stalked, and a little bit as if someone's just made a biographical game about me. Which is weird, but not unpleasant. Game is very good indeed, and well done on getting it this polished in a weekend.
Excellent little explorative platformer with some devious level design in places. Really enjoyed it, good job.
Fortunately, I had just this week built a new PC With an RTX3080 and an i9 in it, so I was able to run this at Beautiful 1440p, and I have to say, it really DID look 'beautiful'. It's fun! Would definitely make a good basis for a project going forward. Maybe something with physics puzzles involved?
Wow, that goes from 0 to 100 really quick at about 20 seconds left. Really challenging and fun, great interpretation of the theme, and a big fan of the music and presentation.
The X/Z mixup is a bit odd, but I really enjoyed this. Very simple, very tightly packed and very polished given that it has a beginning and an end, with no jankiness that I came across.
You did pretty well with the theme for someone who hates it! Maybe that hate fuels you. You may be a Sith. Impressive stuff!
There's a fair bit of polish in this game given it's made over a weekend, and I really got into the story, so I think you've accomplished something pretty great with this. Solid entry, good time had.
The presentation is brilliant, and it's a very pleasing game on the eyes.
I won after 8 attempts, which felt pretty great. I think I got lucky though, as I got the full shot strength powerups after three or four. Has a very simple concept, very well executed. Excellent little base to take forward onto something bigger, if you felt like it. Really good idea that might breathe some new life into the scrolling shooter genre.
Had a really fun time with this. Very polished given it was made in such a short timeframe, and I think you've got the scope and scale of it down perfectly. Well done.
Neat little idea. Did have to close the curtains in my room to see it properly but that sort-of forced me into the best possible 'setting' for playing the game, I think. Very atmospheric and with some great ideas underneath, and a very impressive achievement in 48 hours.
That was really cute, and a clever interpretation of the theme. Glad I managed to kill that bug at the end, and I like just watching some stars, I think it's a satisfying ending. Lot of games for the compo never get that far, so that in itself is an amazing achievement. Good job.
Think you've taught yourself really well and executed this to a very good standard given how long you've been working with Unity. Well done.
I didn't want to escape from the pool, to be honest. I was having a nice time in the pool. Good little package, really impressive for a weekend gamejam. Well done.
That was very clever, and I think there's some engaging gameplay in making sure you don't miss your chance to actually put the answers in. Maybe something that counts the number of loops it took so you can replay to optimise your performance? But very neat, and well executed. Well done.
Is it some sort of augmented reality game? Am I stuck in a loop of reading and not comprehending the description, or what it is I'm doing? Is it THAT clever?
You did something, and that is worth celebrating. Plus I got it to run, had a good time with it, and I can see sort-of what you were going for. You put all this together in 48 hours with real world responsibilities to deal with, and that's a bloody good job. Well done.
I slapped some fish, and I don't regret it for a moment. Good job.
Excellent production for a 48h jam. Looks incredible, with a strong amount of visual polish and that good *gamefeel* that's so elusive. Shame to not have any music, but I think you've done *enough*, tbh.
Sick, disgusting and grim. Which is why I loved it.
Innovative movement mechanics, excellent concept, well executed (aside from a little jank in the menu/inventory side of things) and a compelling use of the theme.
Side note: Assuming you did the sound effects, are you alright?
A frankly *ludicrous* amount of polish for such a short timeframe. Really impressive, design loop is on point, very satisfying to play and a perfect use of the theme. Well done.
*Supremely* frustrating, but in a good way. Very clever, and works on multiple levels. Incredible work for 48h.
Simple and neat, with a scope that works well in the 48h timeframe. Enjoyed my time with it, good job!
Smooth to play, with easy to understand controls and a strong and clear gameplay loop. Very satisfying, as is tradition with your games, I think. Full of game 'juice' and just a solid, polished experience from beginning to end.
You get bonus points for making a Sokoban game that *doesn't* leave me feeling like an idiot. I actually did it (I have a "you did it" screen as proof). I might print that end screen out and put it in a frame for the next block-pushing game I come across. In all seriousness, this is really neat - Clever idea, well executed, nice to look at. Looks a bit like the bottom of a swimming pool. Into which, obviously, you can go *deeper and deeper*.
Entertaining and immersive little game, really well scoped and executed. Excellent job, and a joy to play. Well done!
Superbly atmospheric with a satisfying gameplay loop, and an incredible amount of polish in such a short space of time. Really enjoyable, great stuff. Well done
Very deep. Existential, with a touch of introspection. I like games that make me feel smart, and I think that does that really well. It's also easy to pick up and play, if not immediately understand. There's a lot of depth to it (clever use of the theme, there!) on a meaning/intention level, and the minimalist art is both effective and satisfying, while cleverly letting you stay within the scope of a 48-hour gamejam. Really good job.
Had a *lot* of fun with that! The way the music progresses along with your performance, and the very *forgiving* way that your combo meter doesn't just immediately plummet made this an incredibly satisfying game to play. Excellent job.
Super adorable, very smooth, great controls and a good use of the theme. Fun time!
Clearly deeply personal, and a well-executed narrative trip with some spontaneous (and surprising) gameplay in - I wasn't ready to get crushed by a sad turtle, but there we are. Clear use of theme, looks very nice, excellent job.
I don't think I've ever played a poetry simulator before. I can now say that I have, and I have to admit, I kinda want more of them. Really brilliant interpretation of the theme, great execution, very impressive.
Absolute mind-bender of a game. Took me a few minutes to get 'into' what I was meant to be doing, but once it'd clicked, I was hooked. Very clever, nicely realised, excellent work for the short timeframe.
Somehow, you've made a submarine (fish, obviously) adorable. Nice and simple, very pick-up-and-play friendly, great concept for a 48h timeframe and very well executed with that trademark level of Icoso polish.
Very clever little theme interpretation. I'm glad you had the forethought to put the 'How To' in, because I, in my hubris, decided to go straight in for the 'play' at first. That didn't end well. After a couple of runs, I think I managed to get a handle on it. Had a steady stream of cash, although admittedly, I never got out of debt. But I think that's the point (I'm hoping it's the point). Well done!
I guess technically I have to give you a 5/5 for audio, right? Because it's my own voice, and who wouldn't love that? This is genuinely genius, and as someone who also I guess put a news *theme* in their entry, I'm feeling pretty outclassed right now. Superb job, well done.
Oh yeah, we vibin'. Really chill, like a modern retrowave remake of the special stages from Sonic 2. Really nice experience, very well done.
Really clever idea, well executed. Great interpretation of the theme.
Really novel, very worth playing and a very clever little interpretation for the theme. One of the most interesting titles I've played from the weekend. Good job!
I balanced a stick for a bit, and it was great. Good job.
A very polished and hilarious interpretation of the theme. Had nothing but good times from it, which is basically how I feel about Blockbuster...
Incredible presentation. Well polished, a great experience. Good job.
Looked great, played very fluidly, excellent use of theme. Loved it.
That felt very, very extreme. Loved it. In an extreme way. Extremely.
Never felt so attached to a snowman before. I was properly invested in my own survival for a minute, there. Great use of the theme, very nice to look at. Good job.
A game about meteors crashing into the earth? Gosh, how creatively bankrupt. Cough. No but seriously, this is great. That music especially is an absolute bop. Love it.
Ah, the nostalgia. It's interesting, really worth playing and a great interpretation for 48 hours.
Great little platformer. Definitely think the control layout could do with a look, but once I got both hands involved, I didn't find it too bad. So pleasant to play, which is lovely. Great game for the timescale.
Bawling my eyes out now, thanks. Wasn't ready to be emotionally battered by a gamejam, but here we are. Loved it, though.
Very well presented, had a good time with it. Good job.
Looks incredible. Wonderful style, big fan.
Really neat. Very simple, easy to pick up (once I'd limited my FPS cap to 60 on my laptop...) and a clever use of the theme. Proud of you! Good job!
