This time I've completed more than one game loop :) Fun and challenging, while pretty simple. I like transition to the next level. But more importantly, MUSIC!! That's just fantastic, reminds me something from Portal 2 :)
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Anybody there?

Thanks! I made an attempt to weave audio deeply into the game mechanics.
BTW, I'm stuck at level 7 :)
I had a lot of fun playing this! I love how the music kind of ramps up the more power you collect. And the level transitions! I did not expect it at first. A good entry! An congratulations on finishing a whole game in a weekend :D
@sinusquell, Tnx! Glad to know you enjoyed it!
Fun little game. The music was excellent and I really liked that it got louder as you gain more power. I also liked that inception kind effect where the next level was you. Good job!
Nice entry! The music and sounde effects are the best parts imo, the gameplay is super simple but works well. My only problem would be that when there's a lot of power and weakness on the screen at the same time I get kind of dizzy and have a hard time following what's happening :joy: the level transitions look really cool! All in all, good job!
@kovalok, @jakobthequizguy, Thanks!
Indeed, I experimented with the possibilities of working with sound.
By the way, what level did you get to? My current record is level 8, which is almost impossible to pass without a lot of luck.
I suppose I need to reduce the upper bounds on the number of objects (slightly) and the chance of generating weakness (definitely).
I concur with your recommendation for headphones. Really engaging experience with the audio implemented and I found myself engrossed for quite some time. Well done.
Woah, I really enjoyed the audio on this one! The synth especially. Cool stuff, yo. The art was nice and simple too. Great work!
You killed it with the audio! Very cool, idk how you did it but....very cool!
That was fun. Great work on the audio.
Great work with the audio! It's a shame it doesn't work with chrome
Oooh I love games giving music as feedback! Such a great use of it in this one! Feel like this might be a mouse controlled one as well. Good Job
Interesting! But a bit short? I agree mouse input maybe would be nice for this!
Now that was an excellent game. Loved the music and how the interaction sounds combined so well with it. Well done!
@xinux, thank you! Did you get to the next level after the end credits?
I love the Portal 2 like music! The game plays smoothly, I didn't encounter any bugs! When I saw the credits I went 'That really was it?' but then I saw level 2 and how it started getting tougher and a huge grin appeared on my face! Really creative use of the theme! Good job!
@ruling-spear, thank you :)
If I find time to tweak the game, I will try adding mouse input and touch support so players can play with mobile devices.
@yellowsalamander, @cogcomp, @layne-stokes, @sli, @clemonades, @judgezedd, @blobo,
Thanks! I am very happy that you liked it!
Honestly, I never thought about the similarities with the Portal 2 music. Good reason for me to play again!
I spent about an hour composing music and creating sfx.. and about eight hours fighting audio glitches in Chrome :grin:
I always admire the skills of those developers who make games without graphic editors, not mentioning that the flat art style you implement looks so good! I also agree with others that the audio part is outstanding, especially the interactive sound effects.
@chaosinism, Thank you for your kind words!
Indeed, I just tried to do what I am (sort of) good at.
Especially, knowing that without drawing skills I would not be able to get a good (or finished) result if I focus on graphics. :dizzy_face:
Inspiring to see folks making their own engines. That raylib stuff looks really powerful. Good find :)
Not very good at avoiding bullet game... So I stuck at level 3 like forever Orz But what catch me is how the sound reacts to the progress! That's so cool! And music it self is amusing~ Good Game!
Cool how you included the music. And a impressive outcome if I look at the toolset and programming language you used!
@gilborn, @michael-feldman, @nickykendy, thanks!
I chose C++ as my challenge because I want to be more experienced with it!
Now I have... *mixed* feelings about C++ and raylib usage for Ludum Dare :)
Dig the music progression! By level 2 though, the amount of weakness on the screen felt a bit overwhelming to me. It felt like I was just trying to dodge weakness and occasionally getting some power by luck, rather than chasing power.
@justin-klinchuch , Yeah, I have exactly the same feeling at level 8 :smiley:
Pretty cool! As others have said already the music is pretty nice! I got to level 3 when everything started to be pretty hard for me. Great job - especially making this without an engine and in C++!
Hey, I really loved the music in this and how you tied it to the gameplay! I also like the meta-use of the theme, in restarting after completing. I like how the tether attached to your character kept them from escaping. It worked from a thematic point of view, but I would've liked to have been able to do something with that tether, or just having it react more to the game (like maybe getting shorter every time you got hit). Good stuff!
