Impressing music! The art is kind of abstract but I believe people can quickly understand what different sprites stand for.
A great combination of several interesting mechanisms in such a short time! It reminds me of some board games like Galaxy Trucker, but this real-time game is more exciting. A little difficult for me though :)
It is really a creative way to interpret "nothing". The puzzle looks simple at first, but it turns to be strategic and challenging. Good job!
The card animation is smooth. I tried to make card games before as well and never achieved this effect as good as yours :)
It is an interesting idea and the art looks very comfortable. It even has different themes! It might be good if the first wave can be skipped when retrying the game, since we already know what will happen. (It surprised me in my first game though :D)
Wow, such a different experience of playing chess. It also matches the theme very well.
It is really an interesting topic. I did not figure out what happens to my hand after using a card. Are all of remaining cards discarded? I think it might be more strategic if some of them can be kept.
The evolution of visuals and music is impressive!
It is a nice approach to combine the bullet system of Ikaruga with first-person shooters. The art and music styles are so great as well!
It is a brilliant idea to combine a rhythm game with puzzles. The vintage art style also looks great.
I was once addicted to Puzzle Quest and it is pleasant for me to see a puzzle game with Cthulhu theme. This game brings decent experience and has abundant content. The icon design achieves great flavor and atmosphere, while it might be better if there were some text hints, because sometimes I just forget what an icon represents.
Very interesting mechanism. It is a bit tricky that the round ship body also hits aliens. The music and sound effects are fun too.
The concept is really cool! I especially like the art design of the beast.
@fryer and @zwodahs , thanks for your detailed reviews! I think I failed to clearly explain the usage of *SLASH* in the game. It is better than *SHOOT* in defense because it cancels enemies' attacks. For this reason I have to restrict its range, otherwise the player easily becomes invulnerable. However, the mechanism turns out to be counter-intuitive. I should have further improved it if there were more time left.
@piscythe Oh, you found that trick! Yes, in the initial plan there was a stamina gauge, but due to the time limit there were several things I failed to achieve, including this one. Thanks for your review!
@life-lich Thanks for your review! I am glad that you like the music. I usually make music in [Cakewalk](http://www.cakewalk.com/). And in this game I use two instrument plugins, [Synth1](https://www.kvraudio.com/product/synth1-by-daichi-laboratory-ichiro-toda) which is good at generating retro timbres, and [XenFont](https://vst4free.com/plugin/1473/) with its default SoundFont file.
Storytelling, great art and decent gameplay. It is amazing to achieve all of them in 72 hours! This is one of the best entries I have seen so far.
A very creative puzzle game. Though it is not very straightforward to judge in advance whether a spike can be avoided, it is also fun to have a process of trial and error.
The puzzles are really well designed. Such variety and depth are achieved by combining only two types of actions. Though it took me some time to figure out from which tile you can "teleport" to the other end, once knowing the rules, the gameplay becomes fascinating.
Simple but decent gameplay. At first, it is a bit counter-intuitive that you can turn head with only a small velocity loss, but the game is fun once getting used to it.
I always admire the skills of those developers who make games without graphic editors, not mentioning that the flat art style you implement looks so good! I also agree with others that the audio part is outstanding, especially the interactive sound effects.
The pixel art looks great. It also fits the 3D scene very well. It is interesting to gain the ability of defeated enemies.
It is indeed an innovative mechanics for puzzle games, requiring not only thinking but also quick reactions. I think the art style creates a good mood and the music you choose also fits it well, while maybe the pixelated font appearing when clearing a level brings a little discord.
Concise while challenging gameplay. I like how planets are lightened by the sun. Is it realized in 3D, or 2D with normal maps?
Well... Although each entry of Ludum Dare is open-source, I have to admit that it is the first time I actually read the source code. This game is a good promotion of learning Unity :)
One of my favorite art in the combo games I have played so far. I am also learning to make 3D scenes with Godot and Blender, and this inspires me a lot.
The music is fun! The mechanics is simple but challenging. I finished the game in the second loop, right at the last second. By the way, it is interesting to see Nene Sakura as your avatar, who also made a table-tilting game in the *New Game!* anime :)
Both the minimalist art style and the music are great. And I like the details such as the border distortion when shooting. Even the mouse icons are customized to fit the overall design.
As a board game lover, it is pleasant to see dice and engine building here. The pixel art is well made, and the relaxing music sounds really good. The option of unlocking new paths is interesting, while I am not sure if I can get enough extra profit from them. I am glad to know that there is a rebalanced version and will look forward to it.
Interesting mechanics that fits the theme very well! The level design is outstanding, with a good learning curve, a large amount of levels and even multiple background visuals.
Both music pieces are nice! The pixel art also looks great.
The concept is simple but creative. It also fits the theme very well. It is a little distractive that the particle effect has the same color as the enemy bullets.
A very creative idea! Although the clones just repeat the player's actions, they always lead to unexpected results, which brings much fun. Personally I hope that the game mechanics can support a higher fault tolerance. Now once any ingredient is wasted, the chance of finishing a dish becomes very small.
It is difficult than I thought at first, but it is really interesting. The music is also excellent.
It is challenging while interesting to evade asteroids by judging its distance. The rings are very difficult to fetch though.
It is astonishing to see a deck-building game developed in just 4 hours, even without a game engine! I admire this skill so much.
As a fan of Dominion, I quite enjoy playing the Game 1. The only mechanism that I am not clear about is the purge card, because I cannot find the cost of initial cards. Do they cost 0 and will a random card be purged if there are multiple ones with the same lowest cost? I also wonder what would happen if I purge "myself".
At first I thought the modeling and sound effects are just simple, but later I found that they create a rather good atmosphere. Good job. However, it is too difficult for me to proceed without seeing your hints.
Impressive usage of RichTextLabel. And there is also lots of humor in this relatively short story.
Great animation and sound effects, especially when shooting. It is also a wise design how the player's actions in one loop influence the next loop.
