LD45 — Start with nothing

Dr. Deckenstein: Escape from Castle Brainia by quill18 2019-10-07T17:02:26Z

Very nice and consistent looking graphics + fun sounds. Makes me want to die just to listen to the sound. Jumping and collisions could use some work to make them feel more satisfying but that's a matter of simple tweaks. Very fun experience and I could see this being a full game.

Lost Temple of the Monkey God by aurel 2019-10-20T12:39:56Z

I'm terrible at this sort of games but good job, it's really polished and playable. It somehow kept me entertained for quite some time, I also spent a long time on the ball puzzle. I wish pushing things was more controllable

The drop to the top by jk5000 2019-10-07T15:14:40Z

Awesome game. One of the best and most complete entries I've played so far. It's simple but therein lies it's charm. Nice bgm and very clean graphics. It was a great call to make the pieces glow and reflect in the background.

Uballto by Omiya Games 2019-10-09T20:53:27Z

Very clever and innovative mechanics, good stuff!

Void/Entropy by Tygrak 2019-10-14T19:27:02Z

The music was a nice touch, so many LD games lack it. I suck at this type of games. Bullet hell that screws with your eyes and incorporates different illusions actually sounds like it could be a decent game. Well done.

Mad Mans Vengeance by Tommislav 2019-10-12T20:05:30Z

I saw a few posts about your game during the compo but then kinda forgot about it. I'm glad I found it. Good writing and a take on theme. The game deserves to be played more. Sounds would be nice. Maybe some old timey computer beeps or typewriter sounds? Especially on a shake.

World Collector by Joe Williamson 2019-10-07T22:32:13Z

Hands down the best jam game I've played so far. It's insane how fun and polished it is. Unique level building mechanic and great graphics, animations and sound. Would be cool if you took it further and made it into a game.

Healthy Competition by Elemental Zeal Game Studios 2019-10-28T01:16:30Z

A really underrated game (pun intended), I genuinely don't know how you don't have 20 ratings yet. I played only for about 10 minutes but it's a pretty solid game. For me the player controlls are a bit too floaty, I'd prefer a faster velocity decline after player stops/changes the input but that's a minor detail overall. The next area of improvement would be sound effects and general juice when you hit the enemies or other things happen.

Hungry Hungry Spiders by bendmorris 2019-10-07T13:30:51Z

Nice take on the theme and a very functional online game. Controlls and movement could use some work, but overall fun experience!

GREEN DOG by unima9000 2019-10-11T16:20:43Z

Trippy. I would work on the game and graphics reating to music even more than they already are. Feed some shaders with sound amplitude, frequency etc. A little bit like this https://www.shadertoy.com/view/MdK3Dc

Ludum Lux by Joe Miller 2019-10-12T18:27:50Z

It took me a few rounds to figure out some basic moves, then it was smooth-ish sailing :)

I think it would be nice to have an indicators where the points were placed on the grid. The game shows what has been 'filled' with white but I think it doesnt show where the central point was placed.

D*ck Hunt by Dene 2019-10-09T17:52:31Z

Right on theme and a pretty interesting concept with player just being the observer, but I wish there was a bit more to do.

Inkblot Shade by PTSnoop 2019-10-07T16:43:15Z

I got to 4. Very chill and pleasing game. Cool goo and relaxing music. I'm not sure if it's exactly on theme but it was fun nevertheless. Definitely deserves more love.

Amnesiac Adventurer by justinooncx 2019-10-07T15:11:14Z

I won't be original with my feedback haha. Awesome voxel style graphics, it really makes the game stand out. I had some issues playing it at first because of controlls etc but very positive experience in general

Homie The Homeless by KekkoDude 2019-10-12T19:50:05Z

Nice take on the theme. Admittedly it took me a bit longer to figure out what I was supposed to do.

Ultra Quest by 100th_Coin 2019-10-07T11:41:53Z

This game could make big money! Easily one of the most polished entries I've played. Crank up the difficulty, make more levels and give it a more rogue-lite feel and it's a game!

Life with Words by Chaosinism 2019-10-07T11:35:11Z

Very chill game. It runs well and I didn't encounter any bugs. While I probably wouldnt spend my time playing it on PC, this could be great time killing mobile game idea:D

What I'd like to see is biased/pity RNG system where the letters generated are more likely to help player make words after a while. I only played for about 5-10 minutes but sometimes I was really lacking vowels :D Maybe you already have something like this and it's just my confirmation bias. You could check what is vowel to consonant ration in english language and adjust your rng to that or just go by dictionary.

Ex Nihilo by Caffeinated Psychics 2019-10-11T17:15:20Z

Fun project, I enjoyed my time playing it.

-player seems a bit detached from the ground, I feel like the angle of the character doesn't match the isometric tiles - when you turn and start walking in new direction, it takes about 1s for the animation to swap too - need sounds or other feedback when picking stuff up.

Thief! by MaximBegunov 2019-10-06T23:56:59Z

This is pretty similar to what I wanted to origianlly do, but I figured stealth game was too much for me to handle :D I like that pickpocketing is a dexterity mini-game in itself, but the controlls could be better

Thief! by MaximBegunov 2019-10-07T00:14:58Z

@maximbegunov It might be personal preference, but for this type of game I feel like I'd have more control if I moved my character with WASD and mouse was used for pickpocket? Idk. Just spitballin. Trivial to implement and in a normal game settings menu would fix this particular issue :D

Winter Survival by oxrock 2019-10-09T18:26:16Z

The long dark is one of my favorite games so I see what you were going for. A pretty playable prototype with programmer graphics, good job :D

- Some pixel details in the snow would do wonders, one color background makes it look quite boring. - for a tree I'd recommend collision to be smaller so the player walks into it, like this maybe 1.png

No.thing by adliberum 2019-10-11T16:26:06Z

Good writing. I wanted to leave feedback but I guess everybody already mentioned sound. It could really play a big role in setting the mood and conveying the story. Small text animations and variations in background could help too.

The Song of Calirum by Blizary 2019-10-11T17:30:33Z

Vector graphics style is great and I bet it was a nice produictivity boost :) Great card game, It's hard to believe how polished gameplay and graphics are for a jam game.

The font is a bit off, I'm not sure what I mean by it. I know you were going for the arabian/medieval/old timey font style but this one made the text harder to read from me. Part of it may come from odd scaling, in places it feels pixelated and oddly stretched. Below is what I mean, an an example of something much more readable. There should be a font out there somewhere that's clear like this, but in the style you wanted.

Edit: the screenshot is a bit zoomed in, the game is less pixelated on my screen obviously :D

Euro Farm by Enver Arco 2019-10-11T16:29:23Z

Gameplay is a bit too simple for my personal tastes. Great sound and fitting graphics. Overall quite positive impression.

Endless Campground by Josh Bothun 2019-10-26T23:01:04Z

The controlls are a bit rough and I didn't immediately know what to do with the tennis ball xD Fun running/exploring game though.

Hadron by N0ught234 2019-10-07T13:36:22Z

Great atmosphere and general exploration feel. The game could use a bit more feedback when player does something as well as instructions at the start. Like others have mentioned the battles and controlls make it more difficult than it should be, but I feel like it's a matter of tweaking them slightly.

Paws of Gold by Swen 2019-10-09T18:43:44Z

Very solid game, I quite like trading and the cute cat. I wish there were more interaction options with customers. Beautiful pixel graphics and I appreciated the cat animations :D Grass blends in too much with the trees, imo it should be darker and maybe different texture altogether?

God of the Elements by Keppu 2019-10-10T15:44:36Z

Fun game I played after a long day at work. Much appreciated chill

What made you play the game in the first place? - I'm just going around playing and rating games for LD. It's my first one so I want to see what people are up to and beat around the bushes for hidden gems. I like strategy/logic/crafting games so that also helped with the choice.

How would you describe the game to a friend with one sentence? (I'm bad at this sort of a thing) - Clicker flat world builder game?

What was the most memorable thing you encountered? Monolith, because it's a bit mysterious and in a full release could carry further implications.

What did you find lacking or would add in the game? - Better UI with more information. When you hover one Icon on the other maybe show what they make if you tried the combination before. - More combinations - Space colonization and planets with different biomes. Next could be for example be Mars. - Aliens

Medieval City Sim by coffeedrinkers 2019-10-09T21:54:47Z

Graphics scaling is a bit off and it could use some sound effects when you're placing buildings. I still played it for quite a bit because I like city builders and min maxing adjacancy bonuses and stuff in games :P

Red Shirt Flying Super Powers Man by Netherlab 2019-10-07T14:57:21Z

Like others have said, very nice sound effects and decent music. Playable and works, I played for about 10 minutes and didnt encounter any massive bugs. There should be a small in-game tutorial introduction to player powers and power ups, it wasn't very intuitive at first.

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T22:18:36Z

Great game, I really enjoyed playing it. Like others before me have mentioned, controlls and handling could be better. Awesome moutheffects and fitting background music. Fog and the laser shooting eyes were awesome.

Five Finger Discount by boyTurnedRobot 2019-10-09T18:49:54Z

Very enjoyable experience and one quality that many ld games I played lacked - replayability. I don't see myself playing this for an hour straight, but I'd pick it up every few days to chill. If this were to become a full game some player progression or just swag to buy with money you stole (skins, spy gadgets, idk :P). Good job!

My contribution for this ludum dare 45 by TasakaSama 2019-10-07T15:04:13Z

Great audio and visuals, despite being simple they get the point across and look well together creating a chill dark atmosphere. Controlls are pretty terrible and need revamping if you were to continue this project. All said I think this game has potential and people would enjoy a full release.

--EDIT. I should have clarified. I rebinded AZERTY, what I mean about controlls is that they are a bit floaty. I can't describe it better haha @tasakasama

Ludum Dare 45 by Trypants 2019-10-07T00:09:49Z

I think if the player was mouse controlled rts-style or arrows moved in direction relative to camera it would have been much better. I loved the simple and clean graphics.

Sorrow Quest by Adam Saudagar 2019-10-19T23:45:11Z

Fun stealth roguelike. Sometimes I had issues with camera when going down the map, I could only see 2 tiles ahead of me, whereas going up it was like 10-15. I'm a big fan of roguelikes and I think they'd become even more popular if they were reskinned into nice 2d/3d packages like this one.

Pandamonium by Maytch 2019-10-09T20:44:33Z

I enjoyed the graphics style and music as well as general level and character design. Camera, collisions and physics make it difficult to play. The player character moves really unnaturally and it's hard to get a feel for it.

SHOCK by Ossi 2019-10-11T17:36:32Z

Pretty fun puzzle but it really needs sound otherwise, despite solid gameplay it just gets boring.

The Scout by Griz 2019-10-07T20:45:56Z

I really like what you did with the camera and enjoyed the overall aesthetics. It could use a compass or a minimap, but udnerstendably there were massive time constraints. I would also play with maybe lowering the camera a bit behind the player? Good job overall!

Newborn AI by Lars-Erik 2019-10-11T18:02:16Z

I like games like and enjoyed my time playing it, but it really needs some sound. Maybe some stereotypical computer beeps when new messages appear in terminal?

Aloneland by Kubeec 2019-10-07T00:02:53Z

I like crafting games like this, but it feels unpolished (duh :P). If you worked on it a bit after the jam it could be great fun. Two areas of improvement would be movement because I think it feels a bit floaty and sound.

FactoriNode by Ender7 2019-10-09T18:05:08Z

I love factorio and I played this one for over 30min. The power of connecting nodes nad watching money grow haha.

FromNothing by Copito 2019-10-07T12:04:28Z

I like the mood but the game feels a bit harsh at the start. I found the knife/sword but I constantly die to hunger :P An enjoyable, gloomy experience overall.

Tagatorni by lilou_cormic 2019-10-13T20:06:15Z

Decent Tower defense game, but it became a bit boring after a while. Like with any other jam game I'll chalk it up to time constraints. I think you have a decent skeleton for implementation of something larger and more sophisticated. The gameplay itself was smooth and I didnt encounter any bugs. More juice and general feedback when things are blowing up would be cool!

I actually played it right after you released but I forgot to rate >.>

Confined Space by spidamoo 2019-10-09T21:30:14Z

I love phyiscs puzzle games like this. Ui could use some work - coloring thrusters or assigning them to groups. I noticed that the outcomes are sometimes inconsistent, but maybe it was because I was playing the webGL build.

CAT-A-COMB by Neon Glass 2019-10-12T12:12:01Z

Very solid mechanics and a base for the game. If I were to play it more, it'd require some tweaking, balancing and a greater variety of content. All not really doable in jam time constraints so a good job :)

Have you considered making enemies move sometimes? After you figure out some basics, the game just becomes too easy for my own personal liking.

バクラウBloodless by Danilo Freire 2019-10-12T22:34:25Z

Thanks for commenting on my game, I saw yours being played on streams but I didnt catch a name.

Good game, bad player. Took me a while to figure out a good way to fight red swords :P

- I feel like the enemies sometimes get confused when you go behind the trees and don't follow well. Could be a design decision for line of sight but it looked odd. - When swapping levels your graphic is stretched out really badly. Probably noone will care but swapping scaling to nearest neighbour would improve aesthetics. Bez tytułu.png

The Void by Bozarre 2019-10-07T14:52:38Z

Very nice retro feel and exploration theme. It would feel better if there was sound on interaction etc. Overall very polished considering the time constraints. Beautiful pixel graphics.

Mighty Mighty Bot by JustusPan 2019-10-07T16:36:54Z

I like the difficulty level, unlike many other LD games it doesn't feel trivial to go complete it and when you do, there's the desired sense of accomplishement (I presume, I suck :D). Great simple graphics and background music work well together.

I think some more juice when you shoot and fly, could go a long way to improving an already very good game. When you fly it could shake screen a little bit and maybe a low, jetpack sound? Also, to keep the aesthetics more consistent I feel that making enemy death animations instead of simple alpha fading out would help. These are just personal suggestions, and I have no idea if they'd be any good Amazing game!

Roman & Ownin' by mharring 2019-10-19T23:39:43Z

Love the graphics and general aesthetics. If this were to grow into something outside of LD, it definitely needs a bigger variance in enemies and maybe some player special moves? Fun game, but I may be biased cause I love roman stuf :)

HONK by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2019-10-11T16:53:23Z

Awesome game, needs more gore ;)

Feedback stuff: - Did you not use 'delta' for rendering and game logic? It was slow at 60fps, but then I went fullscreen to 144fps and the game was suuuuuper fast. It seems that you calculate things every frame without regard of how much time elapsed between now and the last frame. - I'd enjoy movement abilities, like a dash and sprint on cooldown or with stamina mechanic - More feedback when player gets hit. Screen flash, shaking quick red tint? Idk

Alone by Becher 2019-10-07T00:12:53Z

Very playable prototype with consistent and polished graphics. Audio could use some work but like the others I can see myself enjoying this type of a game if it was made into a full release.

A Fishermans Friendly Island Builder by Lombax 2019-10-14T19:22:39Z

Enjoyable game with nice pixel art. It really really really needs sounds and chill music so player can enjoy themselves for a longer period of time.

No Body by lizelive 2019-10-07T00:06:37Z

It could have been good and I enjoyed it's quirkiness, but the controlls and general inconsistency are a pretty big put off

Little one by Asue 2019-10-11T17:49:15Z

I got all the upgrades. A few times I ran into the enemies because my brain was off and other than the red color, they look very similar to pickups.

Colour Shot by HumphreysMedia 2019-10-09T21:49:56Z

Nice time killer. Very enjoyable. I got up to 165 :(

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-07T00:45:04Z

@chaosinism yes, the cards get discarded. I spent a long time fiddling with technical things and art so that left the actual card gameplay a little lackluster. I had planned there to be a bit more resource management and other classic card game mechanics, but I figured playable & released beats better and not submitted :D

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-07T15:41:56Z

Thanks for the great feedback. I've become aware of the card swapping bug right after the release haha. SOmething else I changed caused it :D You know how it is. What happens is that 6 instead of 5 cards are drawn, and since there is no space for them all it puts 5th and 6th card in the same slot.

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-07T16:01:19Z

Thanks for playing my game! The calculations for end result are a bit wonky because I didn't manage to make all the cards I wanted. The categories are there just kinda bad :D

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-08T05:02:22Z

@kyzy-4399 thanks for the input, I don't have a mac to test on but it shouldn't be OS specific as it's a purely webgl javascript game and all libraries are attached. I will poke around the code and see if I could release a post jam fix so its playable on mac and different screen resolutions

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-08T17:02:02Z

@justuspan way to make me feel bad about the feedback I leave behind, haha. Thank you all so much for playing and spending so much time on this game. Card games are replayable as hell but I didnt expect anyone to commit to this once, since it really suffers from lack of content.

I think I will make quickfix so the game scales better to different sized browser windows. It was intended for 1920x1080 and should be playable in similar resolutions.

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-09T20:26:53Z

@jusw85 Thanks for playing and feedback. Cards are just sprites so the text is not written in code and scaled. I had some issues scaling text with pixi.js. I figured wasting an hour or two to find a solution wasn't the best idea so I decided to just go for playable and slightly bad :)

card_happyTrees.png

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-10T00:19:36Z

Card movement is fps based, I didn't add delta. Oops. So for me at 75 to 140 fps in testing it was okay. If I do any work on it afterwards there will definitely be fast or instant card movement setting

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-13T19:22:48Z

@yaen Thanks for spendings time on my game! Jam results and ratings were done last minute and aren't great. Like really, really not great. I will be writing a postmortem soon and it'll be one of the points of what went wrong :) Btw. Innovation result is influenced by coding and development skills.

@humphreysmedia Awesome! Thanks so much for playing my game. The scaling issues you experienced were probably fixed in the post-jam release. I've tested the game on a few displays and it should be possible to play it on most, but it might require some tweaking of browser window and zoom. It's definitely one of the things I need to get right in the future.

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-14T09:27:48Z

@hcursino thanks. There is a lot of walking in the park, that's for sure lol. The game was originally going to be a deck builder so you'd have like one or two of these but I quickly realized i can't pull it off in time.

Symposium by Alan123 2019-10-07T00:29:53Z

I agree that more movement options would be great fun. I like the concept and it could be pretty trippy :D

Island Survivor by TC5550 2019-10-07T19:35:23Z

Fun crafting-survival game. I survived a few nights. I've noticed that mouse scroll works for swapping inventory too when you click on it. For me, it would feel best if I could cycle between items with Q and E for example and use with F.

The game gets a little boring after a while, but that's understandable given the time constraints. This is a very solid prototype that I can see getting made into a small game.

itemless by NachtWitch 2019-10-11T16:47:38Z

Enjoyable crafting game, I quite like this type of games so I found myself playing it more than other entries.

A few things I noticed: - Imo footsteps sounds should have a smaller delay between them because they dont seem to match character move speed. - World feels empty, variance in texture and just more trees or bigger rocks would help. - Collisions are a bit off, monsters and a few world objects seem to have way too large hitbox

Barren by Whiteseraph 2019-10-20T12:22:57Z

Pretty good puzzler, the 'player' pawn or whatever doesnt really fit the aesthetics and sounds were a bit lacking but not bad at all. At first I thought the graphics were glitchy but it turns out I didn't disable the overlay :D

Global Warming Is Coming by Odeyalko 2019-10-07T15:07:56Z

I actually liked the low resolution 3D aesthetic. I'm sure with more time you could fill the level with more details and make it really cool. Next step of developing this would be audio queues and particles on chop and when crafting. Good job for a first game!

Nothing On Frontlines by Pavel Ivanov 2019-10-07T11:12:52Z

Interesting shooter and the mechanics work well. Blood and lighting is a bit much and makes things hard to see sometimes, I would also change the bullet sound :D

Planet Z33 by LanaLux 2019-10-11T17:58:28Z

- Picking up resources sounds like you're sucking them in. Sweet. - Nice moody desert sounds, a bit like a distant horn - The planet surface is a bit boring, an occasional cliff or hill would have helped a lot. - At first I thought the player movement is too slow, but I'm not against slow games so I think it's more of a case of having some more to do. - Better than no man's sky on launch. - I make lists now apparentally. - I caught your stream a few times when I was taking a break from my own entry. Pretty fun to watch. And yes, to take a break from my ludum dare coding I watched others work on their entries. Wow.

Selling Rocks by superpaltus 2019-10-08T18:37:41Z

Great sound and game design, but I found it hard to play at first because of lack of UI tooltips and minimal feedback the game gives to player when things first happen.

Mr.Grind by iozsaygi 2019-10-11T17:46:18Z

I'm not a fan of clicker games in general but it was pretty fun, not bad to pass some time. I feel like the colors were a bit too gloomy.

Flourish by Corrade 2019-10-07T16:07:05Z

Easily the best looking game I've seen so far. It took me a few tries to understand the mechanics and controlls properly. I think the game would greatly benefit from a simple tutorial or action/key prompts.

Meager Genesis by Hajden 2019-10-12T17:53:53Z

Like you said yourself, style over substance but very enjoyable. Good combination of subtle low sounds and chill music with sluggish movement and exploration. One thing that I think would improve the experience is if the starry background varied and moved when you're exploring.

Nothing To The Moon by badoomtch 2019-10-07T11:25:12Z

This asteroid is coming right for us!

Nought - Procedurally Generated Dungeon by sacredbacon 2019-10-12T18:41:01Z

- Good procgen, I didnt encounter any wonky rooms. - My attacks felt lackluster, mayube they need a better visual and sound - Entering a new room sometimes made me feel lost, it's quite sudden. I'm not sure what to do about it. Maybe instead of 'teleporting' into a new room, scroll a map into it?

Enjoyable game overall.

Nun in the Chamber by BrokenMirrorMedia 2019-10-11T17:11:27Z

Smooth gameplay but it desperately needs sounds and more juice when things happen.

Fall of RS-17 Icarus - an Akaban Tale by Kooshy 2019-10-11T17:08:09Z

I think being slow what helps build the atmosphere because player can take in the sounds and visuals but for that too work and avoid the players complaining it's 'boring' you'd need to deliver more variance in environments and sounds.

Egg Problem by Bry 2019-10-07T11:52:53Z

I really enjoyed the game, I did a few playthroughs. Cute simple graphics and clear mechanics. Fun TD game overall.

Oh, Pixi.js! Me too

Knight of Redemption by Yeomsley 2019-10-12T19:58:50Z

Suprisingly this game had better controlls and character feel than other more polished games. Next step to improvement would be better graphics, some animations and sounds to indicate interactions. Good job!

Unlock Hero by Plazmaz 2019-10-12T11:35:56Z

- I found the controlls and jumps to be a bit too floaty, It could maybe feel better if the player fell faster. - You really, really needed even a simple tile texture for the ground or a background. At the start when you're in the middle of the grey platform moving feels very weird, because the game doesnt give you any indication that you actually moved. The ground is still the same gray, and background same black. Only you and the enemies move. Other than that, solid platformer and good take on the theme. Good job!

Jim avatar got me here. My game has like 3 office puns :P

Dead Pixels by tmullet 2019-10-07T11:16:01Z

Creative mechanics. It took me a second to beat the 2nd lvl and figure out I can phase the pixel building thingie.

Sweet Nothing by Kellmen 2019-10-09T17:57:57Z

Quality voice acting and a very fun chill puzzle-ish game. +1 for making fun of the player :)

The Reincarnation by TimoSch 2019-10-11T17:43:01Z

I don't know why you dont more votes. Maybe put in some screenshots? It's a really decent game.

- Sound is a bit loud - It would look better if the in-game text fit the pixel art style - art 'pixel size' is really inconsistent. In the screenshot below it works fine for the background and blue 'spirit' but the brain really stands out. It's much higher resolution than anything else. - brain and head walking had nice distinct sound but after that I could basically just hear music asdasd.png

Slimy Situation by PetTurtle 2019-10-07T00:21:08Z

I really enjoyed the 2 levels I played. Sometimes goo dragging was a bit unwieldy, great simple pixel graphics

- I think music was too loud compared to sfx, but that's fixable with an options menu - I really enjoyed the swinging 'sword' trail, it's so bad that it's actually good. Nice overall graphics style, you made it work for you. - A bit of juice, sfx, particles sprinkled in on hits and when things happen would help so much. 'Evolve' sounds and glowing animation is a missed opportunity. It would give more weight and importance to player progression

I crashed on the 3rd(?) boss, just kinda walked into it to evolve and nothing happened. crashj.png

I played along with Elysia's stream. Beautiful simple graphics and sound. Feedback on placing platforms gives it a niced polished feel. I suggest not reseting platforms when player dies, only when they want (with like R key or a button on screen). Re-placing the tiles can start to feel tedious after a few minutes.
