He, pretty cool game. I'd stick around longer if I could speed up the text as it scrolls out on screen. I followed a few story paths and it was intriguing. Good work!

Hey I really enjoyed your game. The puzzles were fun and I loved the art work. Got stuck a few times on other tiles which caused them to fall before I stepped on them, but once I figured out you could do that, it was easy to avoid. Good Work!
Cool mechanics, though it took me a second to grasp the flow of the game and how you were supposed to click more than once. Fun game and it looks great. Good job!
Fun once I figured out the controls. Good work.
Pretty fun. I didn't see too many issues with the colliders. Good work!
I couldn't stop playing this game, what a fun twist on Tetris. If I don't see this game on the app store in the near future I will be sad. If I had to give it one criticism it would be that clicking some items like rings, with a hole in the center, doesn't allow you to select them if you click in the negative space. With them being small I found myself losing a few items because I misclicked inside the ring. Other than that, man this game looks and sounds great. You guys did a fantastic job. Great work!
Played the html version and after I died and got a game over I was still able to run around shooting in the walls. Also, When I reloaded the paged and played again I was having trouble controlling the player. I loved the art and style of the game and the arcade feel. I'd like to play again once you iron out the control bugs. Good work.
Loved the game. It was a blast to play and felt like legit released game. Good work!
Overall I enjoyed the game, I wish there was a menu to mute the music though because that little loop over and over started to bother me. Fun game otherwise, great job!
@rob-parker and @wujood. Thanks for the input. It turns out that you guys found a game breaking bug, it's fixed and working at a better speed now (if not too fast). Thanks again!
@geraldfingburke thanks for playing. Yeah it's a VERY loose interpretation of the theme, the people have already run out of space... to be free, and now you are making the corporation run out of space... to have control. Thanks for your kind words!
@levlaj a back and forth system was part of the plan but I ran out of space... er time.
@titos2k thanks for the detailed feedback. I actually had a great time making this game, and it's honestly the most "complex" game I've made so far since I'm still new to all of this. From the feedback I've gotten here and some other places, I think I'm going to continue making this game outside of the jam to see what I can make. Some of my ideas didn't make it into the game because of time and some things I just missed because I was too close to the game I guess. Thanks again for your thoughts and thanks for playing!
@redhermit I'm glad you enjoyed it, thank you for the feedback and thanks for playing!
Fun game. It satisfied my NES game craving. Music was a little loud, and pausing the game didn't seem to stop the game, but other than that I had fun with it. Good work!
Fun little game and it looks nice. I occasionally got caught on the environment when trying to move, but outside of that it was fun to play. Good work!
I loved the art and theme. The music was spooky and the feeling of having to run away from something that slowly chases you was fun. The controls were a little clunky, but that could be a matter or getting adjusted, though I felt like the double jumped wasn't always responding. With a few more puzzle types and some cleaned up controls, this would be an excellent game.
Interesting game. I was little confused at first about sharing on social media. I didn't realize it was part of the game and reloaded thinking the game had crashed. Once I figured it out, I had fun. Good job
Not clear on the controls, the game concept is interesting. Good work!
Should have let me rate the music, I liked it. The game was fun and made me smile. Jerk drivers are keeping me from going places! Loved it, great work.
Enjoyed the game, love the mechanic for keeping players from getting stuck. The first time I got stuck I was like "Well, I'll let them know about this bug... oh, never mind." It took me a second to realize I needed to push the red button. Overall a great game!
Cool game. It kept me interested. I managed to shoot the bomb and it turned into a block, so I don't know if that's intended. The player was also a little hard to distinguish from the back ground. Fun game overall. Great job!
I liked the feel of this game, it was very old school. It was a little hard to tell if I was attacking something, but nothing game breaking. Did the dog do the music? Because that was some cool music. Good work!
I like the game concept and the art. Wasn't too sure if I winning by landing on the landing pad and then going straight to the intro screen. The same thing happened when I crashed so maybe I wasn't doing it right. Over all a fun concept.
Fun stuff, I thought the pixel noise would drive me crazy but it was cool. I thought the game was broken though when I shot at stuff and it didn't die. Took me a second to understand they had health, but no indicator like on the boss. The menu screen was hard to read because of the white background with low alpha. Overall I had fun playing. Controlled well and cool graphics.
I'm a sucker for Christmas and retro games, so I enjoyed it. I liked the shrinking mechanics when you throw pieces of yourself. Is there a way to get "life" back? I didn't notice. I shot all my pieces at the start so I was had to die and restart. Outside of that, I had a fun play around with it.
I liked this little game, it was addicting and simple. The only issue I had was on about the 3rd round when I chose slower enemies and got a wall that followed me, I had three blocks come out and follow me, then I killed all the enemies and then nothing happened. I think i soft locked the game some how. Overall though I really liked it.
Hey, I'm having trouble getting the html version to run, I don't think it's on my end, but I like the screenshot and would love to play in my browser.
Hey I really liked the game. Easy to understand and fun to play. Just a heads up, I kept dropping and picking up the battery and eventually I was able to walk through walls, enemies, etc... I'm not sure if picking up and dropping the last battery i had over and over cause this, but I wanted to report that to you. Good game over all!
What a solid game. This is a LD gem in my opinion. The graphics are spot on, the game is fun and funny. Kinda of awkward lowering the volume mid run, but other than that, great job!
I really liked the concept for this game and could see this going on to be something pretty cool. It was a little difficult to tell the difference between the men and the old people. It seemed like the children ran to the closest woman, so if moved a woman far enough away, they would just find a new mom that was closer. Not 100% sure what the upgrades were for. I get that the men would become stronger, but not sure why you would upgrade old people or women. I really like the age concept, how the children become adults, the adults become old and the old die. Cool game overall.
That was funny. I really enjoyed it, the only error I can point out is that in the encyclopedia it says "tache" instead of "stache". Good work. I really liked the music and added voice work.
@hugonun Yeah I just had a friend that had that happen to him. I need to find out why there is an occasional soft lock. Thanks!
@hugonun and @matthew-hrehirchuk I fixed that soft lock issue. Thanks for the heads up. I was able to figure out what was causing the issue and it's gone now.
I really enjoyed the graphics. I wasn't really sure how the mechanic played into the game, or at least I couldn't figure out what I was sacrificing. I would also think about adding some kind of way to indicate taking damage. Cool art, spooky music. As a platformer it did it's job, just not clear on the sacrifice mechanic. Well done.
I am so bad at this, but it was so much fun! I really liked the idea and execution. The only complaints I have it the gun shot sounds were kind of annoying and occasionally when I would press space to move, my soldier would move about a step or two and stop, so it kind of delayed my movements. Pretty awesome over all.
I like the art and the idea, but I had headphones on when I started this and almost went deaf. The controls were sluggish too. With some cleaner controls and lower music volume I think would be a lot of fun.
Awesome game. I really love the retro feel!
This game was so awesome. Very NES vibe with taking something simple and stretching it into something you want to continue playing. Amazing job you guys!
How did you make this in 48 hours? This is a legit game that would sell. The only thing I had an issue with was having zoom on the space bar, because I'm so used to having that as jump button, but that's probably more my problem than yours. Great work!
I loved this game. I'm a big fan of Mega Man, specifically nes era, and it's music. This game really felt like a mega man game in it's movements and shooting (minus auto shoot of course) and the music was a great homage to the original nes era music. Fantastic job!
Interesting ending. I would have kept playing through more times if there was a little more to do, but I understand that time constraints make that hard to accomplish. I ran into the same thing on my game. Overall fun enough for a play through and something that can easily be expanded on. Good Work.
Love the art and music in this game. I really liked the way the gun fired, it felt good. It took me a bit of time to get the mechanics of the bbbls down, and then I noticed the bad guys were stealing them! Nice work guys.
It may be too early in the morning, but I got stuck on the SWIM/WATER hints. The game was unique and I want to know why an armadillo kidnapped me and had me floating in space, so I may come back and give this another shot after I've had my coffee.
Loved this. It scratched my itch for platformers and terminal nerdery. Jumping at the top of the screen killed me a few times, don't know if that's intended, but still a lot of fun.
You guys did a great job wit this game. Even with my sausage fingers I was able to enjoy the game. I also like that Turbo Graphix 16 era art and feel. Cool music as well. The only downside was it was hard to see the first letter of the word I was typeing. This was fullscreen at 1920 x 1080. Good job guys!
Cool little game with a sad story. I want the sequel where we get to haunt people.
The music and graphics were my favorite part. I liked being able to move windows around and the overall feel. I think I broke the time puzzle though. Eventually it just kept giving me the error sound whether I was pressing anything or not. Good vibe overall.
Did I get crushed in the end because I didn't have enough coins? The controls were good, the pig noise was a little loud, and maybe vary the music up a bit, but I enjoyed it overall. Sad ending, unless I was just bad and got the worst ending in the game.
I don't know if it was me or if it was because I was using a keyboard, but I could not disarm more that the first guy. The art and music were great, the mood was awesome, I think the mechanic was interesting, but I think I just sucked at the game. Good work over all.
Overall an enjoyable experience. I liked being able to just chill and watch the world build itself, with a little help from me. The procedural music was cool.
These kind of games are right up my alley so I really enjoyed it. Didn't have much to do with the theme as far as I could tell, but that doesn't mean it wasn't a good game.
Cool concept! I played through a few times to see what kind of stat combinations I could get. I had a lot of fun with it. Noticed a bug though. With the card on the right, when I would roll over it, sometimes it would change card. For instance, I would get an apple, then I would roll over, then roll off and it would change to broccoli. If I kept rolling over this card it would swap back an forth between apple and broccoli. Over all, great stuff!
It looked good and handled well. I liked how everything faded in over time and the music was relaxing. I found a bubble but wasn't really sure what to do with it. Overall good work.
I wasn't sure what the goal was, but I avoided some rats and walked into a train tunnel. I really like the concept of the game, it was entertaining but short. Good work.
A little too unforgiving. I think the colliders were maybe a bit too big, so even standing close to some spikes would kill you. If you shrink the colliders a bit, it would be fine. Not bad for a first game jam though. Snappy controls, I like the particle effects under the players feet. Keep it up.
Not a bad idea for a game, I had trouble jumping while pressing forward against a wall. I don't know if the physics causes it to have friction against walls and therefore not jump as high in that situation, or if it has to do with the scaling that happens to it when it's walking? I think if you iron that issue out you have a great future game. Creative stuff, keep it up!
I really enjoyed the game, though it's tricky with a keyboard. That sound design was awesome, a really old school metroid vibe with a modern update if that makes sense. Simple to understand and fun to play. Nice work!
Interesting stuff here. The game looks and sounds great, a little slow for my tastes, but I do see the appeal for people who like Tamagotchi like games. Good work.
Hey I liked the art in this game, if the character stood out from the background a bit more I would have loved it. The control scheme was interesting and I thought it would be too much to remember, but it was pretty easy to pick up. Got stuck in the game a few times, I think I was supposed to hit a switch before moving on and I ended up in places were I couldn't get back to the switch? Overall fun game, good work!
@owlhowell thanks for stopping by, I uploaded a new version because of a game breaking bug and I think you happened to check the game at that time. Bad timing and I apologize.
@ilimanic some people are just mean and want what they can have I guess. Lol. Thanks for playing!
@artyom-volkov thanks friend! Always good to hear from you. I wish I planned better and had time to give the enemies different abilities. Also didn't have time to do some basic stuff like explaining what upgrades do. Thanks for playing.
@juice-lizard You are protecting an Aloe plant, and the title is just a play on the phrase "Say Hello To My Little Friend" from Scarface. The word Aloe sounds like Hello. It's a silly thing.
Love the mechanics here, the sound is awesome. The art is crisp and simple. Great work guys!
Hey guys, great game. I really LOVE the visuals, especially the lighting. If the background was a bit lighter I think it would have been easier to see where turrets were, but they were difficult to see and I died a lot to them. Overall a fun game, love the voxel art and the music is nice and up beat. Good work! P.S. I forgot to add that I was able to use controls and hear sound during the load screen, just a heads up.
Excellent work guys, especially to the ones who were participating for the first time. I'm absolutely terrible at platformers so I tend to abuse checkpoints and iframes, so it was an extra hard game for me since you didn't have those. I noticed that I didn't lose health if i got hit again right after taking damage, but I still got knocked back, which was a little punishing. If you had iframes after taking damage, or just died instantly and started at the beginning of the stage, I think it would have been less difficult. Great art, I liked the mechanics of not being able to jump with the egg and I loved the simple moving backgrounds and the music. Good stuff.
Really loved the feel of the game in terms of art and sound. It took a bit to learn what to do, so maybe a tutorial or something would have helped. I fell into the same problem with my game, I wished I would have had some on screen direction. Very pretty game tho, Great work.
Good work and not a bad game. I was able to water some of the plants through walls, and sometimes it felt like I was clipping into walls making it hard to move. Nice music.
This was fun and challenging. Also that art is great and really fits the game. Did you make the music, because I liked it a lot. Some of the platforming was a little unforgiving, but for a few days worth of work I think you did a great job. Good stuff!
I'm gonna repeat what a lot of people said and say the atmosphere, music and art were awesome. Seriously, I loved it. I will say I'm a platforming scrub, so take this next part with a grain of salt. The rocks/trees/branches etc that were platforms were not very distinct from background items that were not platforms, so I jumped around a lot trying to figure out what I could stand on and what I couldn't. To me the game was a little too punishing. For instance, in the very beginning I had to climb tree branches (to get the area with the double jump) and kept smacking my head on a branch during the last jump and dropping all the way back down to the ground, so I had to run all the way back to the right and start the climb again, only to fail again. I made it after like the 6th try (I'm bad). Eventually I got the double jump and the dynamite and I guess I blew up a boulder then dropped down to where the ground level was but was somehow underground now? Maybe that cracked up part of the ground I saw earlier was gone? It was a little disorienting, but I moved on. I saw a hole in the ground and went down, since I was able to do this earlier to get to where I was now, and I got reset to the start of the level, so I quit. You taught me I could go down holes, but then killed me for going down a hole. Overall the game looks, feels and sounds great, but for me, the platforming needs just a bit more tuning to help me understand where I'm at and what I can do. Keep up the good work.
Well, that happened. I love the Dylan/Dutch handshake loading screen and I laughed quite a bit playing. I can safely say I have never played anything like it. I think I broke the multiplication modifier while doing the punching bag by spamming <- and -> too fast. Fun game. good work.
