Nice Game you have the platforming down to a science on it!
The mechanics were a little unclear at first. I didn't notice the upgrades you got hurt you until I died from double jumping lol. but I put together that the little red text above them was their damage cost for using. All in all pretty cool, the art was good, the platforming felt nice, and other than some strange bugs with the animation everything went very well.
I really liked the visuals in this game and the audio helped sell the mood of the game
Nice platformer and graphics! The controls were not what I was used to making it a bit difficult, but that's probably just me. Was there a light to follow, or is that only symbolic? I didn't see one :-) and unfortunately didn't make it to the end. But it was fun!
It's a good game for speedrunners! There are even a few "biomes", this game looks like a lot of work and it's actually very long. About things to improve, I'd improve controls, to glide it just seems more intuitive to keep pressing the space bar instead of having it's own button, same goes for attacking with ranged, it would be nice to keep only the ranged attack. GG! :)
It took me a while to understand how things worked, but after I understood it, everything was very fluid. I had fun playing, and I really liked the character design, good job!
looks really good and the gameplay is also good. The lightning makes it scarier and the sounds too. Good Work!
That was fun, graphics and sounds were nice ! The mechanics were a bit unclear at the beginning though. It was a pretty little plateformer in the end !
Very pretty game, with a really cool art style. I loved the decorations. I found the platforming frustrating - lots of big jumps that needed to be just right, and lots of penalties if you fell, requiring a bunch of repetition just to get back to where the big jumps were, which I'd probably fail again. But unquestionably an impressive effort - just my own preference here.
Good job. Just some tips about the combat system it think would make the game a little better if you decite to continue it:
-The hit animation should be a lot faster, just a few frames. -I liked the graphics. That’s the strongest point imo. -There sould be some more feedback when hitting the enemy (e.g. the hit sound is ok, but it needs to be louder, and some knockback)
Other than that, you made a pretty good game.
I'm not very much into platformers, but this one is good. Different mechanics and upgrades definitely vary gameplay and tie nicely with theme and overall mood. Probably my only suggestion is to make a longer music composition (i.e. looping piece) — it sounds good, but after two-three minutes of play it feels very much repetitive to me :)
I could not glide, I'm not sure if that is a bug. It controls fine, but I didn't understand the combat beyond attacking with J, and I don't know what all the numbers are. I like the drawings, and the music was ok but got repetitive quickly. Explored a little and never found anything interesting beyond skeletons and some kind of powerup, but I'm pretty impatient. Congratulations on finishing a game!
For some reason, I couldn't use half of the mechanics, sadly. The graphics looked very good and the music helped set up a good ambiance though ! Btw you can cheese enemies pretty easily by hitting them and walking backwards quickly, not sure if it's intended or not.
Anyway, if you want to get a better game feel, you might want to tweak your attack animations (and maybe range) a bit, they are a bit too slow at the moment !
Anyway, good job ! :)
Loved the art style above everything else! Cool concept!
Nice music and graphics. Main character is very likable. It took me a while to figure out what the instructions say. I found this sacrifice of health can be avoided by slashing and then jumping over and behind the enemy in time, ofc good timing and space above heads is needed. I fell down a few times and when I finally got to what I expect to be end game the last skeleton got me stuck by pushing me into wall as I jumped, so I ended up forever stuck there midair between skeleton's big skull and wall.
I really enjoyed the graphics. I wasn't really sure how the mechanic played into the game, or at least I couldn't figure out what I was sacrificing. I would also think about adding some kind of way to indicate taking damage. Cool art, spooky music. As a platformer it did it's job, just not clear on the sacrifice mechanic. Well done.
Nice graphics and music. The mecenics was not too clear for me. Maybe a text in the side could help, kind of "now, press ... to ..." but I understand there are no too much time for all that. Dobro ;)
Nice little platformer but the sacrifice theme was unclear.
