I first thought the controls are broken, but they are not, they are quite fun. Very nice entry and I dig the music ;D
This game is hard. I think it's too hard to have to click on the character. I only made it to the fourth checkpoint before I gave up. The sounds and sprites are beautifully done. The idea is original. Overall I like it.
This. Looks. Amazing!! I will try that the soonest I can!! Great work!!
So cute
Nice game and looks good. But it was quite hard to click on moving character to stop him)
good and cute game, its hard for me
@tomeks yeah the controls are a bit peculiar, but I'm glad you find them fun!
@patrickjr @agegorin Sorry if you find the game too hard uwu', the reason it conctrols by clicking is simply because my inspiration for the game was the Mario VS Donkey Kong game on the nintendo DS, in which you control the Mini Marios by touching them with the stylus, maybe this wasn't the greatest of ideas, but I though that using the mouse to control the character would be a fun and unique idea!
@odeyalko yeah, I know it's hard, I wanted it to be somewhat hard :3c. Although, I maybe should have toned down the difficulty just at least a tad little bit! Still glad you like it though!
@edartz thank u uwu
Thank you all for your feedback!
Love! New_Piskel.gif
That's such a cool gaemplay !
Pretty good! My only complaint so far is having the mix of keyboard and mouse controls for the free look. I also instinctively wanted to jump on the button, instead of clicking on the button, which took some time to figure out. I think having to reposition the mouse after jumping is a nice dexterity element to the game's complexity, but I think having the character move slower would have felt a lot smoother. Thanks for making this!
Nice music, once i got my head around the controls the game was very fun. I like the puzzly-kind of mechanics, reminds me of a nintendo game. Good work.
Love the concept and level design, but the control is kind of hard for me, I keep dying at the move board section, I find it super hard to jump and hit the button at the same time, I wish the character would move slower and the gravity would be a little bit smaller.
Very very good game! I really enjoyed playing it! It was really fun, and I love how your LD46 avatar is the main character in the game. Very nice, fun, inovative game, and I really have no cticism for it. It's just fun and cute!
@artylo Yeah, I thought of maybe moving the cursor to move the camera around in free camera mode, but I didn't do it because I'm pretty new to the engine I used so I kept it simple, maybe if I make a post-jam version I will change that, I have some ideas on how to do it
@artylo @standly007 Noted, if I make a post-jam version I will tweak the character's speed and the gravity!
@ohmyguigui thank you!
@simonbeats I'm glad it reminds you of a nintendo game, some nintendo games were inspiration in the making of this!
@mantaraytv-games thank you so muchh ahhhh
Really nice graphics and gameplay. The game is a bit hard to me but i liked it!
I was very confused with the controls at first but when I got used to it I really felt the challenge and it wasn't even hard mode. In fact it was too hard to rewire my brain that this is not usual platformer where space is jump that I kept pressing it and reset myself 3-4 times.
I liked the challenge.
Cool concept and nice graphics! Had fun playing!
Almost got to what seems to be the end of first stage(is there more than that?), I have to admit when I saw moving platforms seperated by colored brick walls, I was done. I don't know, for an actual game it just seems too hard for a first level, but for a prototype it kinda gives the good vibes for the whole game I suppose. The click detection around the character needs to be a bit wider I think.
Cool game, the concept is nice! Graphics are super good!
Fun idea, but catto was too moving too fast! It felt like she was sleep-sprinting instead of sleepwalking 😆 As mainly a console gamer, I'm not very good with mouse to begin with...
I think the some puzzles I managed to survive, were interesting. It took me a while to figure out having to use the free camera to use off-screen button.
I really like the concept of the game, the face that you managed to made a game that had a beginning, an end and a sens of progress... Overall, you have the idea and a level to express this idea, with several bricks of gameplay added one by one in the game. To resume, it's Game Desing & Ludum Dare 101. The art is simple and clean (as they says), very efficient. That count for the sound and the pixel art. Biggest issue here is the difficulty. Maybe you should have explain some "tips n tricks" when you had to jump in a platforme, switch color, double jump, run and stop in one take. Really, it's a minor issue. That's the example of game that I really like in Ludum Dare. Nice job mate :3c
Simple and clean. A good concept that was executed well. The speed made it slightly difficult for me even early on, but maybe I am just bad. Blame the player not the game on that one haha.
Great job I enjoyed it!
@lukein there is only one stage! (and you gave up near the end, at the hardest part of the stage, congrats on getting this far uwu) This is indeed more like a prototype level than a level that could be part of a bigger game, and I did that because I didn't have time (nor did I feel like in all honnesty) making multiple level in so little time uwu', I'll remember your feedback about the click detection!
@joonamo I'm actually glad it took you some time to figure out that you had to use the free-camera! The idea behind this obstacle was to leave the player in a state where they wouldn't be able to continue until they figure out by themselves that they could do this!
@schwarcraft @joonamo it seems that the speed is a recuring complaint, I will take note of it!
@maqo12 @blackgoku36 @baptiste-guerin @maximbegunov @hugandhug thank you!
Concept original and fun Very pleasant to play
I found this to be quite a challenging game but I appreciate the innovative design and art!
Enjoyed the graphics, but the gameplay was very challenging for me! Really loved the design of the main character. The mechanic of unlocking the camera was pretty cool too!
Awsome game @sheinxy
This is fantastic - and honestly I'm pretty bad at it haha. Great job with the control scheme, very different, makes it stand out!
Wow these controls are hard but very different. Enjoyed it!
Difficult but cool! I liked the music!
Nice job ! I really like the idea, but I have to agree with other comments that the controls are hard to use. For some parts I just fiddled around. The "looking around" part is really interesting too.
It's a nice game to play with a drawing tablet XD I found it a very good game in overall. The keypoint in my opinion, and tricky part, would be have a good dificulty scalling in the map layout. I think there's too much information in the start, a lot of buttons and dynamics to learn, maybe if that was a little more eased in, the comments could change from "This game is too dificult" to "i gotta get good".
It looks like you really challenged yourself doing the level design with the mechanics you implemented and u did a really great job. Congratz on your game!
unicorn spin.gif
To be honest I was first confused by the control even though I read the Tutorial. I was looking forward to play it because I followed your postings! I enjoyed it!
Cool game, i very like mechanics of the game, gameplay is really creative. Pixel art graphics very nice. Truly enjoyed it!
Great job. It's very original. I like your idea for the movement .
Man this is next level sh*t.. Amazed you did it all by yourself!! I'd loke to work with you on the next Jam.. If you need some OST, anytime, DM me anywhere! my name is pedro kozovits
Wow, what a great game. I liked that you introduced new mechanics as the game went on. Feels really polished too. I don't understand how you had time to make such a big level for this, we had very little time left to design levels. Definitely going high up on my list!
I liked the design and the gameplay, allthough it was bit hard because i missed to click the charahter with the free camera.
I'm in love this game's mechanics! Unlocking the camera while the character was still moving felt really interesting and suggests different playstyles. Had a blast playing it even though I'm not good enough to get to the end! :P
I think the menu explaining the controls was a bit too dark and I had a little trouble identifying some of them, but it may be just me. The audio could be improved as well, but the results are really impressive for the time inverted!

Music is cool!
Oh maaan, this is awesome! Really difficult, both because of the level design and the controls. This feels like a level that would be a good way through a larger version of the game. I really like the mechanics of it. Though I do think it would be nicer to not have to click directly on the character. In fact, I don't see any real reason to use the mouse at all... just directions for the camera and 2-3 buttons, (you could force the camera to focus whenever the character is moving, and otherwise in free mode) I think this could be be a very good and much longer game all in. Nice graphics and sound too. Very solid entry - well done.
This game is so hard XD
Graphics are very nice, audio too and I find th gameplay pretty original, great work!
Just played! very nice! Probably I will tweet about this in the next day on this page https://twitter.com/Free_IndieGames !
The game is adorable! Really love the visuals and the audio of the game! The gameplay and mechanics were pretty unique too, and seem really polished. The only problem I have with it is the controls of the game was a little bit difficult to get used to.
Overall I really enjoyed the game and it was really fun! Great work!
very hard, very well put together though. good job
Good job. It's really hard, but the game is gorgeous!
Having to click on the cat I felt just added to the difficulty far more than it needed for a platformer, just left clicking and right clicking would have worked more than adequately. I would have also stuck with keyboard controls for the creature and mouse to interact with the environment.
Beyond that, the free camera was a really good idea and very welcomed to be implemented and it was a pretty decent game overall.
Its really fun ! :) Great job
Love the controls and overall mechanics. Difficult at the start but get used to it death after death. I understand the importance of death counter very well :) Pretty work!
This was really fun to play once I got my head around the controls! Plus the music is so cool :D x
Very unique controls, i like it!
Really very unique controls! Different to what I've seen in other platformers. In some moments it can be really tough to precisely climb onto a short platform before your guy crashes run into the wall to turn around and fall again. With some control polishing it can be interesting. Keep it up!
Game for sure is challenging, but I like it. And I really like your level design! It shows you exactly know which parts are hard and use its full potential :P The most brilliant thing in this game are controls - I absolutely love them. They are completely different from I'm used to, but it is refreshing and make my mind to focus! Great entry :)
Hey I liked the art in this game, if the character stood out from the background a bit more I would have loved it. The control scheme was interesting and I thought it would be too much to remember, but it was pretty easy to pick up. Got stuck in the game a few times, I think I was supposed to hit a switch before moving on and I ended up in places were I couldn't get back to the switch? Overall fun game, good work!
@boyturnedrobot press F then use WASD to look around if you can't get back to the switch! ;3
oh, so good idea =) nice concept! like it! tips. Need more instruction in begin of game =D
At first glance you casually think "ok, platformer, here we go again" But after a few seconds you understand that this is not usual plantformer, and you start to fighting vs controlls) It may scare away smbd, but to me is actually like a challenge) Good graphics, clever level design, and cool mechanics. Well done!
Very interesting concept, though maybe controls and/or difficulty curve can be streamlined a bit. Still, very nice entry, had fun dying
poor cat!!!! :bed: very cool idea man!
Can relate to the cat :(
Interesting concept for mechanics and really nice realization! It's easy to see you were really having a blast with the level design :D On the same note: Thank you so much for your playthrough video! I tried, I really did, but I couldn't make it even halfway it seems.
Really love the art too, it's just a shame the cave is a cave and thus dark, making the protagonist almost disappear in the shadows. But I feel it was a deliberate decision, maybe to add a bit to the difficulty?
Either way, I had a great time with it! Thank you for letting me play your game!
Nice game! I love the audio and art style! I think the cat should be moved with WASD and the camera in free camera mode should be moved with the mouse because the cat is really hard to control with the mouse(Just my opinion). Good game, and keep it up!
I had the problem with the moving platform, because i moved it left and fell into spikes. When I came back to that point the platform was far to the left and I couldn't grab it. Oterhwise nice game!
@lukvasando right click on it uwu
Very challenging and fun. Clever and innovative mechanic and great level design. Great work!
Very punishing. I've never seen a cat sleep, let alone sleepwalk! Really liked some of puzzle design though I do thing some of the mouse controls could have been subbed for keyboard controls so to eliminate some of the precious but hey, it's your game and if I suck at it, that's my bad xD
Very nice character design and great music! I think the controls are too damn hard to master, maybe if you make the hitbox larger, would fix. Overall, good idea to work on, very fresh mechanic.
Nice mechanic with the way of controlling the character. Very enjoyable :)
Took me some try and error to figure out the controls. Afterwards, I was intrigued. Really cool puzzle platfomer with a twist. The art was reduced but effective, if not a little too dark for my taste. A little more contrast would've helper, especially on the main character asset. The sound effects got really obnoxious after a while. I'd settle for something less painful to the ears. Other than that, the controls worked great, there was a lot of mechanical freedom and the level was huge and filled with content. Great stuff!
Interesting take on the theme. And a very challenging platformer thanks to an unique way of controlling the character, as well as some smart level design.
The art and the music clashed, in my opinion. The art is simple, dark and moody. And the music is very energized and chipper. I would change to music. Maybe to something more sleep-walking ;).
Great, nice work!
A good pixel game that makes you get used to the controls. In some moments, it makes you think. Good job
This game is awesome I think it's a bit hard (which was probably on purpose), but still loads of fun!
Nice creative gameplay! Good job! I had much fun with it.
Pretty fun, Though I think the controlls should be a bit looser mabie instead of having to click directly on your character mabie make it to where you just have to click near him or something, or just slow down the pace of the character so you have time to learn the new mechanics as they come at you. Because I think the akward controls are more tedious then they're worth I get you wer're inspired by a nintindow game but you have to keep the strengths of each platform in mind. Also the free look feels a bit unnecicary and dosn't really relate to the games core mechanics. The art is good enough though it's hard to separate the outline of the main charactor from the background. And though the sound effects are simple, I do love the music though it's very fun. Great job Over all though. If your going to use bfxr try to layer the sounds in the layering tab to get more interesting sounds. (p.s. Love your little pixel art charactor I saw it in another post and I was compelled to check out your game)
Edit: fixed some mistakes
Nice art! Took me a while to understand the controls; I didn't get at first that you were going for a Tipping Stars mechanic. And even so, there were some bits that were never quite clear to me, such as the logic behind when you could and could not double-jump. If you ever do more work on the game, you might consider visual feedback for all player input, a more forgiving click-box around the character, and much higher contrast in the art of the mouse cursor and player character. But anyway, fun game; good job!
Graphics look sweeeeeet. Controls were a while to understand, also it was challenging, but it is a great game!
