I really liked the idea of your game and that "keep talking and nobody explodes" feeling, the same pressure I think. Only thing that bothered me and i coudn't solve was: Thirsty? Check. Poop? Check. Hunger? ???

Naming the baby robots enterprise "Johnson" was fantastic. The map layout, perfect enough to distress you and not feel very overwhelming. Suiting mood. A liiittle too slow the death for me, but that is so minor XD

Also, not being able to fully get a grasp of the game (no finding how to feed him...), didn't cut my Fun aspect in any chance! I was thrilled searching for it multiple times due to your incredible atmosphere, trying my best to optimize my robotic workflow hahahah

For doing all of this incredible game alone, you sir, gets a big and blue 5*.

Well, I liked your game in the start but it indeed felt a little random due to the amount of information that I had to process and when someone Bliped away i was like: "Humph?". From mid up i got to fully understand the game and them i didn't really cared, just walking and killing everything, getting new guy, now he is main, and it goes. I missed picking up itens from dead partners and the enemies movement are too fast. If the group attacked together it would be awesome, but then you would have to balance the game again >-< I imagine this being a good polished game!

What a fun little time waster! I tried my best to get to the 5 clone but not having a checkpoint between 4-5 just killed it for me...

From 3-4, the egg was hiting the ceiling! It`s not my fault! The ceiling should be a litte higher. I liked how you used some stuff to guide the player were he needs to be or jump, using the grass and tiles, I easily saw that and got a good grip of the physics with it, speeding up my progress, it also rewards the player, well, in this case, me, with "haha, i'm very smart" hahahha.

I HATED not being able to turn around but at the same time I understood it, there was no problem with it, i just got mad everytime i stepped back, and bummed out in cases where my only option was breaking the egg.

What i wish that had was that when u are sliding, the slide would kick the egg a high enough for you to grab it, it would be awesome.

Really loved the sounds of the game and it simplistic but hard game. I did 8745 for trying to hard to save the dogs, and also kicking them to oblivion hahahhah Loved the change of air with the implementation of the piano and dog through time, specifically dogs, not cats 👀

Only thing for me as that the time period for it to get hard was pretty long.

I really enjoyed the mood and the feeling of the Flick thingy but for me the goal was a bit too much, you made really hard maps that 1 or 2 bananas would be enough, when i had to deliver 10 bananas on the steers i gave up because it would be too boring instead of challenging. I had fun nonetheless and a it's a good Compo game!

I liked the text but, if it's only a text based, Triple Check the grammar. I've lost the immersion sometimes duo to grammar in specific moments. Almost everything is correct, but that 1 chat ballon after 10 perfect ones threw me off. Also, the game frooze for me too, don't know if it was because i was reading too fast. With that said, nice work, this game makes it look like u've made 20 pages of text in 1 days, the rest was for implementing XD It's a sweet game to play, sice u referenced love2D, you did a good job.

I'm speechless

Since your game, for me, is the best game i've played in this jam, i'll make some harsh deserving critics. Some "came to my mind" critics too XD. And questions for you to do with your team.

Dragon with a hat? What's the pourpose of that? It's in some cultures, and a bit in general, that dragons are already upholders of wisdon, that said, wise, intellingent and powerfull. Does the hat have to make a double take on that?

Minor problem, no up animation and down animation can save time but can kill mood. (I know it's a jam XD)

Why there's a sword if we can't swing it? I can see it's uses in the future, but if there's a sword on the character, i must have a pourpose. Even if it's useless in these puzzles, swinging it with "Space Button" would feel great and add dimension to the game for players in the demo.

About the continuity of the game, if the characters presented appear in a bigger space of time and have more lore, it would be perfect due to the amount of information i can obtain only through their appearances. They are too meaningfull in your game, so you will have to work a lot in it and don't present them to fast, i will diminish their importance.

Minor problem, Fix hitboxes.

Minor problem, to much shaking at the end. Yes it needs a lot of shaking, but that was too much and eye disrupting.

Chatting, my reading speed isn't yours reading speed and the same for everyone else, make a dialogue speed menu or make it clickable(or pressing e again) to show all before just closing or make the letters appearance unique to each character so i can read as if there's personality to it. It is so slow at the moment that i couldn't read as the character would be speaking for me and broke a bit of my immersion.

Now despite that, again, i'm speechless. Incredible work 5/5

It's a nice game to play with a drawing tablet XD I found it a very good game in overall. The keypoint in my opinion, and tricky part, would be have a good dificulty scalling in the map layout. I think there's too much information in the start, a lot of buttons and dynamics to learn, maybe if that was a little more eased in, the comments could change from "This game is too dificult" to "i gotta get good".

It looks like you really challenged yourself doing the level design with the mechanics you implemented and u did a really great job. Congratz on your game!

I've found this game very high polished but tedious in a long play. The first momments of the game were really good because of how "smooth" is the feel of the game. One small thing, the slow "skip to next chat" wasn't for me. But really well done, it's fantasticaly polished.

Now about your game, I liked the simplistic style and the music is Lovely! Since you'r an animator too, I missed a bounce on the violin, the drums could be dull, but since there's not to much on your game, everything could be jumping, even the blocks of the game because of the splendid music that you choose/made, also the player could have a little more bounce since he is moving, so it's more perceptable and his right arm could be moving up and down too against the bouce. Everything u did worked nicely together and i specially like the musicians, and that little tweak u did with the camera XD But that hitbox... god i was strugglin hahahah But later I just pushed all the balls to the backwall and walked to the side, pushing all balls together without problem and removing the difficulty, but the hitbox still made me mad hahahah I would make an "attack", moving the hands in an arc so the balls wouldn't perfectly go straight, but atleast I would be able to hit the balls and see them flying in random directions. Still, really liked your game, keep it up, would play again, BUT, the music would have to stay top notch ^-^

Outstandig graphics and animations. The little Lore and animation was a nice add to the game and the music is on point with the mood, but, it becomes to repetitive, the gameplay also. It is missing some "!!!", idk, maybe instead of "Evolve", have a "Use all cards in hand". Just an idea. I quit im the middle of my second run. The game itself is very very pleasing to look at and to listen to, everything connects, it misses something in the gameplay.

I Really enjoyed the game! It's really nice in overall so i'll just directly point out everything that came to my mind.

Coughing is always to the left, not where character is facing, Pharmacy could be one store to the right. I got infected while inside the pharmarcy after buying medice. While trespassing, neighbours could stop for a little time before turning. Typing sound for speeches could have some variants. Missed some direction Plates in street and store recognition.

That's all! Really liked how you guys did everything and i got hooked up right from the start!

Making this in a compo game o.o, wow. First, congratulations on making such a game for Compo! About the game, I liked it being slow paced but the animation could be "stop then move", i forgot it's actual name >-< It would feel more robotic, it's too fluid, plus, it would look like it's faster, even tough it would be the same speed. hehe I saw that u had a hard time syncing the animation, i'm sorry XD But your game is fantastic! The art is amazing and, (i believe procedural) environment is so good! Loved the upgraded equips art and the people! I could see this game as an App game, where you touch and the player goes, managing the little guy. The more runs you do, you gather points and upgrade your robot for the next run, like the game Learn to Fly 1-2-3, and I loved those! I really wished my upgrades would be saved for the next run, it was the first thing that i checked. The speed could also be upgradedable ^-^. Amazing Solo game! My only real problem was that the gun stopped firing, i could slow down the guys but i couldn't stop 50 of them without gathering items hahahaha

The game has indeed a good atmosphere but unfortunatly tedious after a while. Anyhow, it has amazing graphics and i liked the steps you are doing towards your animation. It's noticeable what your aims were and it looks like you accomplished most of what you wanted to do. The camera distance, camera shaking, boat, the hammer sound, monster and sea were all talking with each other and for me it was a well programmed/staged game that lacks mechanics and for that thou shall be praised.

You Participated in a lot of Ludum Dare's so i think you can take it hahaha Let's go: Very nice game indeed! It feels very good to control the island and his little dodge XD The thunders, clouds, islands, really well done. Everything felt very polished except for the sound >-< You had a pretty good and atmospheric game that were a little perturbed with some sounds. You could notice some noise in some of the sounds, if i remember correctly, the bell and barrier sound effects, and the volume of them were so high, even tough i lowered it! Obviously i didn't lowered enough, but it would be nice to set from the start the Thunder as the highest sound and everything lowered, not everything the same. I wanted to see some big journeys to find the islands too, some close some far, to really test myself and immerse in your silent universe but connecting the islands where always a throw off, that squash effect didn't correspond to the game, even though i see that since, well, it's raining, you added water, but if it was a small sound effect related to air, maybe quick sucking air from low to high tone (u can try with your mouth), i think it would match better, I didn't expect a splash effect in mid air, even if it's raining. The floating also didn't make the meteors weird on a storm because everything is so fantasical that it works pretty well, specially with that barrier, the mood for me is perfect. Bring more houses home at the same time would be nice for the player to feel bad for losing an island that would inevitably happen while in a 3 stack, for example. Congratulations for keeping on making games and on making such a nice and polished game for this Ludum Dare! Little store! options! You didn't hold back XD

I found your game very polished and with well made mechanics, but it lacked fun and creativity. In my opinion is due to the fact that I almost destroyed the whole forest and had 250 wood+ and 50+food, i believe it's because i could zoom out and make the best tragectory for collecting wood and could snipe deer miles away without problems, killing a bit of the survival mood, the ammount of ammo, also, seens unbalanced and if I overstayed at home, my temperature bar would stack infinitely and I could walk for a really long period of time without having to return. I do praise the polish in your game and can definately see a lot of potential in it with an addition of story and other npcs trying shot you down or enemies that would hunt you, but it needs either a good story or some differential from other surviving games. Really liked the ambience music and footsteps, it grasped that feeling of loneliness. The texts lines are also a really good way for player feedback and that i liked very much. In overall, it's a good, well made game!

I can't say much of your game, it is really good, you got more than i would ask for for an ASCI game. Only thing that i would have to agree with Celdur is that the ërrors aren't a challange, but you added a Virus, or firewall, then the player would have to switch from pessing L to pressing... B... I don't know hahaha, just a little far because it's hackerman momment XD

A really enjoyable game, one that you usually don't see but give smiles just for seeing an @ walk XD The colored switches blew my mind.

@sheinxy We were kind of surprised when this idea came out from the paper! It really felt like a gamechanger and that we could do so much things with this mechanic, we were inspired by another gamejam game, a tower defense with only one tower. @trexxak hahahahah So the screaming did work! XD hahahahha We were the stupid ones for not helping the player with the mechanics >-< The problem is, that feeling of discovery, well, that you felt (and big afraid cojones) XD was our starting idea but it wasn't working out! And after watching some of my friends playing it, even twitch, they all did the same, tought that the end of the map was at the border of the dancing floor and when they were going to fire, they walked away from the unicorn, afraid of shooting it hahahah That's why u saw **CLICK ON IT** multiple times hahahah, if this was a finished product, we would probably hide it like that because we had that "Boombox waypoint" that is bugged, and would give interest to the player, like, "How do i go outside?". Funny enough, Pony Island was on my mind while creating the story, the dark side and the cute unicorn XD Thanks for sharing your highscore and playing our game! We really do appreciate it, specially when sharing the experience detailed like that!

@tyler-anders As we have mentioned somewhere around here, not just shooting mechanics, monster behaviours. I think if we could have had done that, it would be much better, not just that, a plain tutorial XD. About the dancefloor, i'm sorry XD i draw the ingame art and that was what i could do in 2 days hahahha A blend or a thinner outline in the dancefloor maybe could have solved the problem. @arthurds We are sorry for it but we are actually trying different things, first we didn't know how much people wasn't noticing it, them we shouted GET CLOSE AND CLICK THE UNICORN, but that destroyed the feeling of discovering, so now we are trying "There is a hidden mechanic in the game", written on top of the downloads so it wouldn't be that throwed upon the player, we are trying to find a way to say that because we are Restrictly not upddating our game for two reason, "That's what we made, we have to deal with our flaws now" hahahha and that we unfortunatly don't have time for it....

We lack in the ingame art not for time but for lack experience >-< That was the way that we found being able to do everything. But the Cover and Game Over art, to be honest, they were made in 15 minutes by our team artist, Yuu didn't joined for the rest because she is not interested in the area :/ But we believed in ourselvs for doing something pleasing that wouldn't fall SO MUCH behind that art but my experience for drawing characters is atleast more than 1 XD but never drew scenarios, so i used collage and drew, for the terrain texture i didn't know anything that i could do but "Dirtying" everything a little hahhaha. I won't even talk about colloring >-<

Our mistake about the pistol was playing the game already knowing that there were guns, so we just ran for it, really our fault, when we realised, using the pistol is so bad we had already uploaded the game... And we couldn't fix a glitch of the Waypoint, yes, that weird thing appearing randomly in the screen is a waypoint XD If that was done correctly and the ground with a little more work, we believe it would grab the players attention.

And yeah! A dash would sure be interesting! Don't know how it wouldn't make the game too easy but with enemy behaviors it would sure be needed for a "Charger" monster!.

@herniewise Inflatable Dinos, it really does sound like that hahahahha Didn't think of it in that way XD We wanted to make a cute and fun unicorn that contrasted with space marine like player and monsters, but this is what we ended up with XD Really thanks for playing or gaming and we're happy you had fun!

About your game, i thought about the pump! But i was thinking... How does a pump/heartbeat is going to feed him? Maybe because english is not my mother language... But I check the monitor and I think I did something wrong and didn't see changes, but at the same time explains how i survived more than 2 minutes, i kept pumping believing it was for hunger XD

@grentacular We also hated using the pistol! We didn't realise how bad it was soon enough... And yeah, getting things clearer would definatly have a better player experience, instead of leaving him alone with a boring starting gameplay with a fun unicorn.

Oh no, you saw the bug! hahahhaha Not for just your playstyle, i tried it with my family and what they usually do is clicking on the enemies or clicking veeery close to the player, and for them, it was a game breaker because they wouldn't understand why the character was shooting backwards >-<

As I said for Arthurds, we are trying diferent things with the description, no information at start, shouting the mechanic to the player and now saying it's a hidden mechanic, but if it was to be hidden, the pistol should have a better feel through the first minutes.

Now, point to point:

- We got that same feeling but we believe is the lack of ammo. 60 rifles bullets can kill 20 monsters, 60 shotgun bullets can kill only 12 monsters, with occasional multikill, maybe raising it a bit would make it feel better, and yeah, we also thought "Everyone loves shotguns, put a lot of shots in it", in the start it shoot only 3 bullets XD

-Collouring the ammo aaaaaaa why we didn't do it XD It would save players from "What weapon am I gonna take..." only after realeasing the unicorn.

-We do really missed player feedback, i all apects, no excuses, I'm not saying we didn't think of it, but we poorly excecuted >-< But hit markers, even after player 9712xxxxx hours of Call of Duty, Battlefield and hundred other games, we forgot that XD

Improvements point to point:

-Yeah! It is a nice idea, we were only focusing on getting good musics to randomize but being able to select your playlist would be nice. Would make the playlist usable after beating the game though, so the first experience would be based on what we choose.

-Definately! We were a bit sad for not being able to implement player behavior, there is a monster that we didn't make that we think would be awesome, a Charger! Like Left for Dead 2. We did one concept that could work like that.

We tried as much as we could for finding musics that would work well in the game and for color pallets that wouldn't be blast the players eyes at the same time that it had to be "Disco like" XD We really had a bat time adjusting the pace of the difficulty, we "hardened" the game 3 times so it was much worse before hahahha but the start really is toooo slow. @epicular Yeah.... we agree with you on that XD From one of the feedbacks I had the greatest idea "What if we tell if it is hidden?" hahhaha It blew back instantly and we quickly changed it back to **CLICK THE UNICORN**, but a little less intrusive, removing the explore so the player could recognize something by himself, but, well, the boombox waypoint didn't work out as well do to bugs. Whe had nothing, till getting feedback, then it was... "Get close and click the unicorn and explore for weapon upgrades**, we tried hidden >-<, and now we are like this and also implemented it on the image of the itch page, since we don't have full screen, we believe it won't be missed that easily, it sure will, but not as much as before. About the difficulty, we had a hard time with that for the lack of experimentation, it was waaay easier before, but the scaling is present, but tooo slow. The monsters get faster as time passes but by so little that it it's boring till that point. I believe its from 20 minutes it starts to be something but still not hard, we even don't know when the enemies starts to be faster than the player. The camera being stuck to the unicorn is something that we liked and gets the player off guard but we do believe that if the camera was a bit more higher it would be better, best reason for it is that if you walk up or down, you will be hit by monsters that are almost impossible to evade. We'll definatly work on that! We planned some behaviours and weapons but couldn't implement them at the time but it will surely help the game out, and now that i'm thinking of it again, power ups may sound interesting too. Thanks for your feedback! I hope that even after these problems that you had fun!

@mika-la-grand I have to disagree with you that we didn't informed, it wasn't informed previously, even in @epicular post it was already meantioned but he saw in another feedback (correct me if i'm wrong) that we did it at some point. It's on the description and in the itch game page image, that is, about the carrying the Unicorn and that there are weapon upgrades. And about the Bonus multiplayer zone, it was made for the player to discover, but the waypoint is glitched, anyhow, finding it, the 3X on the screen would notify that that was a bonus area. Now for the exploit, we couldn't make our game well balanced in time, but i must inform you that the highest score was 64k points. We wanted to implement an Highscore sistem so that it would motivate the players to make their best scores instead of surviving, even tought there is a point were the enemies start to get faster than the player, but we didn't managed to get there yet, and don't even know when that starts to happen. We will sure keep on working on the game to keep on improving and we're sorry for any incovenience! About the slow loading, our game has 100mb due to the amount of music.

This kinda of a weird experience XD. I felt a bit lost when playing it for the first time, i didn't find where to close the cellphone. I really enjoyed playing the game! Sadly, after throwing the baby through the wall and reseting him twice, I gave up. I wish the movements and throws had more response to what i'm doing, for example, clicking to get the baby, having to hover to his head is bothersome, walking fowards and throwing the baby didn't boost him enough and just clicking space and the character going 10 meters high instead of holding space doesn't feel right. It's a nice game and a lot of improvements can be done, well done!

Weirdly enough, your game is a little similar with ours XD How you implemented your dual character wielding is out of the charts! it has some really good potential because of how good it is to control both characters with keyboard+mouse, maybe i'll even steal this ideal later 👀. At first glance the game is pretty enjoyable. When it comes down to making a highscore it becomes a little too hard after 3k points, i don't think because of life loss but because of the lack of people in the park area and when u start the game again, you kinda of starts with hp loss like if u had 3k points and it keeps on adding when u play it again. Really good low poly graphics and recorded voice made it's simplicity joyfull.

What i've got myself in too hahahahha So, toaster and fridge thing XD I like the mechanics of controlling 2 characters from point A to B while only one controls the camera! The graphics aren't high quality, but they are funny and they work! That felling of well thought bad thing, like the movie The Room, shaking the butt toaster XD You connected well your art with the animations and sound design, including your end game sound hahahhahah everything matches! From the gameplay point of view, The fridge could be a little faster and the toaster a little slower hahaha, u can still have a super fast toaster and slow fridge, but more responsive to commands, they way it is, I had 0 control of both characters, i couldn't dodge breads even spamming clicks, when there were 2 monsters or more in the screen it was sooo hard to do a multikill and when i went out of the screen, i had to wait so long for it to come back it didn't make sense, once i even got stuck, in that sense, it didn't feel like a challenge to this difficulty (like someone comennted), it just felt out of hands, it didn't feel right. For the way it is, the fridge could have a little more health, since u drew a really big map and the sound, even if it works, it gets repetitive after a while, maybe it's because there isn't player feedback on Walking with toaster, walking with fridge, toaster making, bread throw and walking, i wondered "What funny sound would this make in your game?" ^-^ And just as someone else said, the colors could be a bit brighter, you made a funny game and bright colors can highlight that. But again, Butt toaster 10/10 The animation of the fridge door and toaster are also so good, and wow, you animated all 4 directions jumping with the fridge, I know it's just a little bend here and there but praise for that small change. Farts!

I think in we all do the same mistake hahahha I was lucky to find a friend that likes programming, it's pretty weird seeing stuff being tested so fast in engine. But we've all miscalculated our time XD We didn't want to go to sleep 6-8am in the morning and kept postponing stuff XD But i'm really proud of my team and for what we achieved! It's the first time we worked together and it went so well, like, I have 0 complaints, loved doing this game jam and definitely will do it again. This game is so good! It felt like a programming version of Undertale! Had lot's of fun playing it! Loved the simplicity and monsters style! Sounds and sound track were perfect! Mood, little events!

My only problems was having repeated bugs to fix, i came across 3 times in a row "Can't divide by 0", not that that would not happen while programming hahahah but I know, random, i was just unlucky. And while debugging, I didn't felt need to even worry about energy, everything was just sanity, I only used the meditate function, but then in the end, the monster hit hard on my energy. I believe there are diferent monsters that reduce energy and sanity, but don't really noticed if there is, but when i came to the boss, i almost died do to my energy, still made it though, even with 1 miss, i wish there where something more visible on losing energy, but it would need a bit more of work because it could maybe unbalance the game.

Liked the "workflow", it could have been just a straighline but with those little different paths it became much more interesting!

Really loved your game! Made me want to finish it from the start and kept the fun alive all the way! The undertale nostalgia for me was a bonus XD

Hey! Really liked the art for the game! For me the music was a little bit off due to it's modern/electro feel that was fighting with the "medieval" art style. For the first time i didn't know why i was getting hit, the enemy attacks felt a bit random so a little bit more in player feedback, i think, would be pretty nice! I got stuck when going left on "city" and pressed right before the camera fully traveled. I got unstuck after beating all monsters. My only break of immersion was trying to go to areas that were fully open in screen but only throught the center that u could get there. A really funny and anime like concept for a Jam XD Nice Game!

It's a really good, simple and effective game. Who would have tought that with so little you would withdraw my first 5*/5* ratings. How did you made the ball animation? You simulated 2D with a 3D ball or is it just programming? I only wish the spaceship was faster for more cheeky action, It looks like just 15 score is unachivable already, my highscore was 11 and at 10 you will certainly have low life. The auto aim+shoot made the game better than i was expecting. Nice work!

I really liked your silly name play XD About the game, I enjoyed playing it but the deaths were really nerve wrecking. I died twice, one for the falling little rocks in the start and falling at the end because I wanted to keep exploring for more apples. There was no notice of the way down being a death pit, and your game makes you want to explore everywhere, no changes in color of the ground for example and the difference in color of the falling rocks was so small, if it were more detailed, or if it had a warning before, like mini debris, like you did with the shaking for the large rocks. The big rocks i didn't know where they would fall but the shaking warned me to run, but if they fell in my head, I feel that I would hate it because there was no warning so I could atleast dodge.

I believe in overall, the level design needs improvement such as in corridors space, size proportion and layout of rooms, platform easing (i could climb up those platforms before the door but i believe a lot of played would have difficulty reaching the top, for me it didn't felt like it was hard, if felt like the commands weren't responding right, then i changed my playstyle to jump and then press left or right) and the "ramps" felt like they were draw like you didn't care if the horse could jump it, like climbing a moutain is skyrim with a horse XD You could have gotten reference from Mario for the starting level to teach that if u press jump, u jump, if u hold jump, you jump higher, that would help some people that otherwise would have been stuck and blame your map.

I missed player feedback, specially for the breaking of boxes, pushing down door. The music was ok, i saw that u didn't want ratings on it, but the player art and animation is incredible, only change i would make is the head of the horse going up atleast when i walked, it was weird for me him always looking down and it looks like you went almost fully for the animation, i would have went all out. And the animated loading screen? Awesome! I wish we had made one! And last but not least, It felt more like "Escape" then "Keep it Alive"

Uff... In the end, i like your game! You have something that is traditional and kept the fun, in a beautifull horse also!

The game has some interesting animations, well drawn characters and well made player movement/shoot, but you could have made some connections that would improve the game, including some stuff that i even forgot in my game (hitmarker sound) XD

Birds usually don't sing at night, that background sound made it feel like was morning and my eyes were telling that it was night. A splash effect for the banana could be more interesting instead of the Pew Pew! Because you made a dark setting, the vibrant collors, wobble animations and sounds were always conflicting with your level design, u could still use them, but you would have to make some changes so they would fit together! I indeed had fun playing your game! I love top down shooters! You really did a lot for working alone and your first game jam!

Can't tell much here. It's a solid entry, fun, polished, with nice graphics and a good game overall. Improvements that I would think about, slowing player acceleration speed, enemies shoot, and reaching 111 points without my plant growing was trully dissapointing çnç, if there where just 2 more sprites for the tree i think the "being to easy" would be more easily forgotten. But for the really well done minimalism... I couldn't read the tutorial properly without trying to merge with my screen XD It could be only for me but it's a thing to think about accessibility.

I personally doesn't like this type of games that wants you to Rage Quit but i wanted to go further just because of the level design and one thing that bothers me is the camera movement, sometimes it feel random, to close, to distant. Indeed a nice small game! I really liked the effort for making 3 enemy behaviours! It added so much to the game! My only problem with it was that my first play, I lost because a spider spawned on me when i just needed around 10 seconds, so since it's a long game, feeling disapointed by that spider and also that I didn't want to lose my fingers, I used 3-click macro.

I loved your player hands/feed animation, but would make the spiders bounce, definately, and a little bob on the player would bring him more to life and maybe improve the mood. Nice colored Lights, brought a misterious air while wandering alone in the woods.

Why no crickets sounds!!! You just needed some little squeakitty squeaks for spiders, crickets, owls maybe, fire and footsteps, no need of music! Would be so perfect!

I like this idea for a coop-game, i'm basing Don't starve together, but with your mechanics of combat, waves and etc.

Congratulations on your game! It's Solid! Go review some games! You deserve to be reviewed!

Also, i'm impressed for how you've pulled off, player feedback, nice art, music. Definetly a high polished compo. But now i'll adress more critically the things i've said they were a problem and why, from my area side of view.

When you start the game it is funny and entertaining but a couple seconds passes and the terms "lack of control" and "bullet hell" are opposites. From what you've wrote, "Hard" is not the case, the game is almost unplayable what's written pass the impression that the blame is on the player, like others that already commented feel. Most of this, in my opinion, is due to:

Lack of control - Dodging is less effective than praying. No matter how good you are, there will be times that simply the plane is in a position that you won't be able to do something that you wanted to. What I belive is te capacitator of that is that the plane's spinning speed is faster than the player's moving speed, not alowing to stop motion by countering the direction.

Lack of fired bullets - You're cutting the fun of the player, you've set another mechanic as a timer, which honestly i l but that doesn't come as a challenge since the fire is so low that theres is no reward in firing at the right time, also it's possible to just hold down space and this mechanic becomes just a bother that you have to wait again and again.

Lack of strategy - Mostly a consequence of lack of control, there's not a good approach for the player, there is not a plan that you can make on the go. Not that there isn't but the options are few, one that i used was based on the enemy bullet lifetime and another strategy is kill till you die, which shouldn't be the good case if u need to survive.

To play from it's current conditions, I believe a lot of people won't be able to see you cutesy guided missiles.

Extra notes, there's also lack of freedom, there's too much unused space while the plane's own movement is quite big for such a small area, i can see it's limit if there were more enemy behaviours but for this stage it feels trapped. The rain thingy was just a visual polution in my opinion. And for last, there's an exploit, if you stay on the utmost left, the enemy bullets won't be able to hit you since they don't have enough lifetime. I've passed most of the time there nad and after a time i just stoped moving and was waiting to be killed. Got 3800+ with exploit and playing "seriously", most pressing left and right to mantain bullet lifetime distance from enemy, 645.

@pronomicalartist I`m reviewing your game as a game. From my point of view, with my background. A critic is a critic and you should disregard none as you can learn something from any person here. I`m proposing solutions and guiding trought noted problems that you can perhaps avoid in a next game and maybe haven`t noticed, I`m not just complaining about your game. Disregarding it would be just ignorance. I`ve reviewed all the games that got my interest and that i gave importance in the past Ludum the same way as this. There`s no diference from a sellable game from a game. There are just good and bad games/ideas. Saying that i`m reviewing it wrong is unfortunate.

Only crucial problem for me is that you can't get everything on the first go, i believe it's due to the ammount of UI and no player feedback when u get hit or missed an spark fix. When u understand what u have to do, the game becomes to easy. A jump high based on ammount of time holding down up would be nice also since sometimes i wanted to do a small jump to hit the mecha and it completely passed over, i think now the mecha has some really hard postiions to hit due to it.

Let me share what i understood from something a didn't understand hahahahha.

So, fat always be the goal keeper, got attracted to a girl, felt like a teacher to be honest XD. Made a friend. started to have feelings for friend. Suddenly on a love confusion triangle or diferent genders thing. Confused with own feelings. Wanted to be a girl. Solitaired yourself in mmo, time passed, felt more ok with itself, started drawing, conformed with yourself, but strange feelings mantain and it's ok.

@trexxak hahahahaha it was fun to create a history in my head anyhow, mostly when i didn't undertand i filled the gaps with something XD It' to see that you went for LD again ^-^ But for Witch Loop I worked more as a producet/artist then game design since Erukolindo was the Lead. My team couldn't join so atleast i found a nice group to work with. I only helped with the story and initial design, did the background , menu(unitt destroyed it) and splash art. Also that little monster on the page was supposed to be one stage of the boss. The heavy lifting went for euruko since i was assigned a college work to deliver on sunday, could help mostly only in the last hours. @Erukolindo , in my opinion, deserves a lot of praise for doing design, art and programming. Cheers my dude. Trexxak, i'm curious to know what i got right, can u share later or is it a secret? XD
