Untitled Caterpillar Game by karln 2020-04-20T23:27:56Z
I really loved the concept and the little wormy dude was definitely worth saving! One issue was i kept getting stuck in walls but man it was solid fun apart from that!

I actually enjoyed this, playing it on trackpad may have been a mistake. The game is haaaard without a mouse! Good fun and great execution of the theme.
I liked the art style though and I can see what you were going for but the intense motion blur with low framerate made the game pretty hard to play. The bloom was slightly too much too. :) Good work! Keep it up!
Just getting a black screen with the number 24 on it.
@kankrelat yeah that's a bug we noticed too. Never had jumps as low as that though really sorry you couldn't play. :( We only saw jumps get bigger which isn't as game breaking.
@duke Yeeeeeeah. I forgot to multiply speed by time between frames... Sorry you couldn't play!
@feingehacktes thank you for the criticism. The viewpoint thing is actually something I was thinking about towards the end of the jam.
@dreamer Thank you! I've seen a few people comment on the inertia and lack of save points. I never even considered the level being long enough to warrant a checkpoint or two so this feedback is really really helpful
@jasmine-cooper Thank you for your feedback! I tried to make the falling platforms not kill the player early to let them know what they did but also as they don't respawn I made collecting all the apples need to be a perfect run. I did find out last night that in one case if you don't make the jump it screws you over and you can't progress at all so I should've made that a death I think.
@blackgoku36 Thank you for the criticism, it's really useful for future projects
@HolySparks Apologies about the performance, the initial loading bar is a download I think. It's Godot specific so who knows. The sprites are all way bigger than they need to be which is why it is a bit heavy on performance.
