LD42 — Running out of space

Kingdoms Fall by LandoSystems 2018-08-18T19:30:25Z

The graphics and how everything is juiced just enough give this a really nice feel.

Deadly Delivery by Rogue Studios 2018-08-18T06:57:09Z

The "turn based" angle here was really enjoyable to work within. It is simple to grasp but still interesting to navigate.

Climate Change Simulator 2018 Chinese Hoax Edition by smbe19 2018-08-18T02:44:12Z

As I am going through many of these games I really enjoyed this one. I felt the card turning animation could be faster so as to keep the pace of the game up and the city card was not all that obvious (in that you had to place it further away) but it was cool to try and figure out the best place to put each card. And its always nice to see a Godot game.

The National Library of Geometric Impossibilities by nanolotl 2018-08-18T00:01:33Z

The art as a whole has a really nice vibe to it. Nice work.

Monarch-eat by drtizzle 2018-08-18T02:51:02Z

The king's face is hilarious. I found it hard to figure out how to get the recipe built but impressive work for 48 hours. I always love a good bun, I mean pun, so A+ on the name.

Space Escape by paulhocker 2018-08-18T00:09:14Z

Your twist is a nice addition to the match 3. Always nice to see a Godot entry as well.

Closing In: Barney's Daring Escape by potatolain 2018-08-18T00:21:56Z

The NES angle is nice. The art and sound really sell that as well. Impressive that its a ROM. Online emulator wise I got a few minor graphical glitches but nothing that really impacted my playing experience.

Loot Keeper by outstar 2018-08-18T05:12:08Z

Yeah, you're artist is crazy. Felt complete enough that it is hard to see as a jam game.

Frosty Fort Fight - [FFF] by AwesomeAlliterationAlliance 2018-08-18T02:23:47Z

This barely feels like a jam game! As some others have been saying the controls felt a bit off but the idea is certainly complete.

High Castle by Wheffle 2018-08-18T19:49:04Z

The audio and graphics were very cohesive which led to a nice feel.

We Haul by Swordfish 2018-08-17T23:11:19Z

Definitely five stars on the theme. Moving items felt a bit sticky but wasn't too detracting. Good entry!

Spacebars by The Triumvirate 2018-08-18T03:02:10Z

Your use of the theme is the best I've seen so far. Typing the menu option you want is really clever but for retry it starts to become tedious.

Space Taters by Jan 2018-08-18T03:18:29Z

As you said, polish, but I don't think that really holds this back from being fun! On that topic I felt the camera not being centered was a bit annoying. Grahpics made me say whoa as soon as the it started up.

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-18T06:31:45Z

The art gives me Advance Wars nostalgia - it looks really nice.

Valdi: Shadows by beepyeah 2018-08-18T07:02:01Z

The introduction of the ghost, I guess you could call him, changed things up just enough to reenliven what the game presents.

Acreage by pomb 2018-08-18T02:34:20Z

Awesome what you were able to do for a compo.

I felt it was hard to pickup at first but once I understood the how the mechanics worked my interest certainly picked up. If you are planning to do any more to the concept I think audio would help liven it a lot.

Carter's Crates by Diego Escalante 2018-08-18T19:35:22Z

It is a real challenge but in a good way. Slower box drop or perhaps a double jump may make things a tad easier.

RAMbot by lekkel124 2018-08-18T06:52:01Z

As people have been saying, it is hard. Maybe it is too hard but it certainly is one of the better puzzle mechanics I've seen in a good bit. It makes you think really hard.

Tribe Terror by Monkosum 2018-08-17T23:43:05Z

The concept here was really fun. Granted there is very little time but tooltips on each item you could buy would have helped a lot.

ShipIt by cbenoit 2018-08-18T06:43:01Z

My biggest trouble initially was with the controls. It took me a bit to see that it was just a single click to pick which item to use. After that the game was enjoyable. I really liked how you can't open the clipboards while boxes are in their way. That presents a nice question of more boxes or the next best thing.

Crate Rush by Sroxs 2018-08-18T02:13:19Z

@troligtvis that is actually something we cut due to time constraints. Cool to know you felt the need for it as well.

The Unfortunate Story of Hans by Bloc97 2018-08-18T03:36:54Z

This has a really nice old timey feel to it.

Deadly Confines by ParkerDuncan 2018-08-18T05:17:13Z

The art here is really nice to look at. Art, sound and mechanics seem to fit well together.

Treasure Room by PatteDeCanaard 2018-08-18T03:26:24Z

Like @johannimations, not being able to pick up the money was annoying but seeing how it is part of the theme it makes sense. I felt a bit of camera shake on weapon hit could add to what already already felt pretty good.

Shake It 'Till You Make It! by Estudios y Producciones GUSA 2018-08-17T23:25:09Z

Festive music for such a short time, nice job. I could have used a little bit clearer direction on what to do in game.

LD46 — Keep it alive

BANG by conk 2020-04-21T06:34:53Z

Interesting concept for 4 hours. What engine did you use?

Cool Rat 3D: Adventures in the Houseplant Zone by mmason 2020-04-21T01:57:58Z

I enjoyed the art style though the font may have been hard to read. The art style is something I personally don't see a lot of so that was cool to see.

The Wrecker by bmacintosh 2020-04-21T02:16:07Z

This was surprisingly solid. One of the better uses of the theme that I have seen so far. Control wise I wonder about being able to hold the mouse down but maybe that throws off the thrusting. Just a thought.

No Name by vonflaken 2020-04-21T06:40:04Z

I appreciated the death animation. The character dropping dead was a nice touch.

Keep THEM Alive by ItzJoJo 2020-04-21T18:53:36Z

For one week in godot you guys did really well. We did our in Godot too. It's awesome to see what people do with a lesser known engine. The art and animations look really clean.

cloudy with achance of unicorns by alphapolygon 2020-04-21T18:47:41Z

The audio and the art matched really nicely. I wished that I could rotate tiles but not being able to also made it really frantic to get the right piece down quickly.

Indiana Farm by Pathus22 2020-04-21T01:45:33Z

Like people have been saying, it's hard but that is not necessarily bad. I liked how quick you could move but at the same time it was also somewhat frustrating sliding around so much.

Haywire by DrewG8 2020-04-21T04:05:23Z

The palette choice is a quality one. The whole of the art comes together really well.

Keep Them Alive by acoto87 2020-04-21T06:44:44Z

I'm not great at pixel art but this sort of art style is something that always inspires me to keep learning about it. The art here looks great!

Lantern Lagoon by Quade Zaban 2020-04-24T05:59:54Z

The Zelda comparisons are a good one. Reminds me of Wind Waker.

Famished Flame by finalspace 2020-04-24T05:49:21Z

This was a really nice and concise entry. Was really good at the things it presented.

Lively by CJGladback 2020-04-21T05:54:52Z

Definitely one of the better looking games in the jam <3

Pyromania by Finnhax 2020-04-27T09:54:51Z

The art looks really clean.

My Pet's Dungeon by N.O. Games 2020-04-21T19:24:29Z

Overall had a nice vibe. The art matched the sound nicely.

Silicon Soldiers by Hueson 2020-04-24T17:07:06Z

@alexey-kuzovkov @giulia Sorry you guys had trouble

Fire my guitar up by Alexey Kuzovkov 2020-04-24T08:19:13Z

This has a really nice look. The light gives a good ambiance.

Faire L'Amour aux Plantes by Jenny Bourke 2020-04-21T02:03:31Z

The pot on the far right was a bit hard to click as it was partly behind the pot in front of it. This had a nice frantic pace. You constantly have to bounce around the screen and be on the lookout for what's about to bite it.

Dance Dance Unicorn of Magic! by Kagerowo 2020-04-24T05:39:48Z

Fellow Godot game I see. Love seeing it in action.

Ice Light by ThornDuck 2020-04-21T19:34:11Z

5/5 on mood no doubt. I liked the presentation but at the same time it was hard to see when further away from the light.

Rodent Crossing: COVID Edition by YYZ 2020-04-21T18:58:25Z

The amount of work put into this is obvious. The art reminds me of Pokemon Quest.

Baby: Don't Hurt Me by Eroar 2020-04-21T18:55:41Z

I love the bend down animation. It's a nice touch when pressed for time.

10K To Impact by Magicanz 2020-04-21T20:32:43Z

I would have never thought of someone riding an asteroid. That's a very unique concept to make a game around!

Eggbert II by senar93 2020-04-21T03:04:59Z

The animations are all around nice. This one made me think quite a bit. Definitely a 5/5 on the Innovation.

King's Table by PetTurtle 2020-04-21T19:16:42Z

There's good reason this game is so high up. Love seeing Godot games get so much attention.

The Fire Burning by Shouji 2020-04-24T06:07:13Z

This has way better programmer art than my first game!

Last keeper by Tatyana 2020-04-21T05:45:40Z

Very good polish. I liked the overall ambiance as well. The music fit the theme and vice versa.

Orbshot by Michael Horst 2020-04-21T03:15:29Z

slimabob took the words out of my mouth. I normally check out a lot of games to get the idea but don't play through. This one I played awhile just to play.

Btw, incase you're like me and don't like passing along two files there is an option to Embed the pck in the export settings. <3

Emberkeep by T C 2020-04-21T01:53:27Z

This was a lot of fun to play. I think it makes you think about navigating maps in a different way which is refreshing.

Dungeon Farmer by TheQiwiBoy 2020-04-21T04:09:10Z

404 for me as well.

Keep Dano Alive by Blue Pin Studio 2020-04-21T05:50:59Z

Voice acting isn't something often tried in dare's. It's nice to see it here.

KITAL: The Weight Of Survival by Battlerager 2020-04-24T05:35:20Z

The font was a bit hard to read but the game itself was quite intuitive and easy to figure out.

Planet Sitter: The Galactic Inquest by Eckkert 2020-04-21T04:15:11Z

The ship may have been a little too fast to control well but I didn't mind much because the concept was so interesting. It's pretty impressive for 3 days.

Vacuum Queen by Prof.Suarez 2020-04-24T05:44:44Z

Cool to see Construct being used. It ran smoothly in the browser.

Magician's Monster by NomadicRockMan 2020-04-21T03:22:02Z

For some reason I really really enjoy the clouds XD. It was a bit hard to figure out at first but once you come around it plays nicely.

Planty's Day Out by CitDev Chris 2020-04-21T01:41:50Z

It felt a little weird having to shoot the direction you are facing rather than where the mouse is pointing. I have to say the art is really cool though. To me it gives a nice Alien Hominid feel while also being a set up in quality.

Plant Man by Broken Robot Studios 2020-04-21T06:37:17Z

I saw another game with a similar plant carrying theme but its very interesting to see how yours differed from theirs. In your case the level is more complex and the throwing is a bit more responsive.
