i didn't like it. firstable it's too hard to understand what's going on. second: theme doesn't seem to be done perfectly since it's not about how much u have, but how much u bet. and finaly it has no jam mood to me. it's too sterile.
good one, but i'd only want to decrease your score for difficulty tune coz too fckn hard to save all cats)

It's a fidget cube with 4 sides. With no hard logic you could have done a nice interface. Nope. You could do better.

@rosypenguin Thank you for playing. You can upgrade buildings' size in laboratory (select it and hope the screen doors would open, then press buttons there with words "size"), but you have do destroy your old buildings to set new smaller and better ones.
@sloyd good job, I was able to build that kind of base only with dev tools :D
@keppu nice review. I didn't know about range attacker bug. I thought about generate new form of buildings after each build, but I came to the point, that too much random generation becames monotonous and not really challenging
@sloyd as I said, you shouldn't be able to reach that stage :D no pool can protect from 2000 units colliding each other and doing logic in Update)
@hishicorne we'll make a fixed off-jam version later with every assets we have, but wasn't able to implement due time limit. but it's nothing gamechanging: animations and sfx. well, also I'll fix interface layout and 2 other bugs people found here. As for production, I don't think we'll do it for now. May be later. We have our projects.

1) there is 'r' hotkey and every buttons do the same form everyone. There are a lot of them so people would notice there is the possibility :D

5) Well, there are solar panels on energy farm. and metal plant is like a lot of smelters.
@josscomposer was the blueprint all green? I haven't seen any bugs with building. There are a lot of them with upgrades though :D
@foxserranu but there is a settings panel in the menu. you can add master volume and decrease music volume, the u'll get your sfx volume boost)
default master volume is 30%, so people wouldn't be stunned if they set their other volume settings to maximum and forgot about it.

@sohakes we didn't have much time to balance and I didn't want players to build 2 rows of walls and be unkillable, so wall is more like decore element :D
@player-2 if there would be 9x9 instead of 10x10, it would be too hard for a jam)
@stroe-andrew we also have tons of animations for units. but in game they can only walk)
@ursidaegames at start we wanted to make building solid, not modular. but after we calculated 48 tiles for each building, out artist sad: modular it is)
@faet I guess noone realy thinks about optimization during the jam, but yeah, with that many colliders and raycasts in logic, you need a supercomputer to have 60 fps with even 1k enemy spawned)

@pepnou i've tried to make really slow powerful guns at first (you can see grenade launcher), but we didn't have enough time to make enemies, that you'd prefer to kill with that kind of weapon. it's just more fun to shoot fast when you have weak enemies against you)

@owca @jedemac thank you for comment. I didn't think people would click that button that often tbh. The best option of course to place it in the middle, but during shitcode for making this game in 10 hours I can't draw any UI on top of roots :D
@barindwalin when I started to code the game I understood, that I don't remember how colors mix. To add to this I had some knowledge about RGB and CMYK, but also from years ago. I spent an entire hour just to make sure what colors to use and decide on mixing rules)
@pookipoot you don't have to grow root to the star. grow blue one a little bit and then grow other 2 colors over it to get purple and green

@dustin-brown I thought of increasing an amplitude on attack and setting some amplitude as additional game over reason, but it's like punishing player for playing. It seemed weird to me. Thanks for playing anyway :)

@zluca I saw the flaw with card buying. At first it looked like a nice idea to manage "more card or build a stronger deck", but when made it, understood that it feels awkward. There was another ideas - give cards to some humans so they drop them on death, but deadline was too close)
traps was designed so it was a hard start, but the further you go, the more landmine you're building. Also flawed concept since it becomes too easy if you placed enough traps.
Interesting idea, but took a while to find controls. At least write a tutorial) also felt a bit slow at the start.

Start feels really fast. IMO difficulty should be lower at ludum submissions, but overall, nice entry)

cute little entry. my thoughts: 1) this could easily be web game, there would be more players 2) first thought it bugged, turn out when pick up weapon it's not enough just to press left or right mouse btn, it counts where you click)
great entry, most polished one so far.
@royur it was 100% win with random units, so I decided to make enemy stronger as last fix before release. Overdid it a bit :D On the bright side, you didn't see the main flow of the design: you can't really build a team of the same kind monsters since they evolve 3>1 every time. That makes their abilities useless.
@haoro wow, that's a cool thought, I've never thought about abilities of different kind) gonna work on it. I have planned projects for 1.5-2 months now, this one's gonna be reworked & released closer to the new year I guess.

when you become too big, you eat your own shots, so the game plays itself mostly
concept is cool, but it's too easy with selected targets ecpecially. random generation should have stricter rules and several options of chaining would be cool.
looks fun and graphics is great. I thought my art is perfect for gam, but yours is even better. gameplay is about avoiding hp as much as possible, so it's like antisnake)

It's fun at start, but after 4th room it became kinda boring - I could headtank 5 of 10 my bullets, so I just loaded 5 of them and pressed q again.

It's not like we sacrificed it, we just had a working build 3 hour before jam's end. But it had no graphics at all. If only we had another developer to implement graphics. We have complete animations for pretty much everything, but I'm too slow with UI.
Next jam we will be smarter with planning.
@goffmog yeah, the gameplay needs better interface, and tutorial, and tooltips, but we had no time for it. so it's hard to understand, but when you do, it's a fun game imo :)
@everyone if you got here, you probably played it already, so I won't spoil anything. Best tactics is to assign people to 2 7 and 9th bays, the 2 others should mine 24/7. There is a chance to find a surviver on asteroid, he should mine too. Make sure u always have 10 metal to repairs. If you have metal, but no water - upgrade O2 gen. else don't waste metal. upgrade your weapon first to tier2, then if u have enough metal, upgrade armory and build second weapon blaster. if it's >25% upgrade your repair bay.. I should have called it hull? and shields. then it's easy win if you won't be totally unlucky with resources.
@LeReveur firstable, make sure it's armory, but bridge (armory is 7th, bridge is the last) second(able?), make sure your weapons are not broken or you have enough metal to repair it (it'll take couple of seconds) third(able?), check if you realy assigned the unit: he should come to armory and turn to it's back. On the button will appear an icon of a man.
nothing else can go wrong.
Nice idea and good enough realization for jam. But theme seems like a stretch.
