(Hey, I think the itch link is 404-ing)
Art looks amazing!
(Please fix the Itch.io link <3)
Thanks for telling us ! The itch link should work now
when you become too big, you eat your own shots, so the game plays itself mostly
I like this game's Art!!!!!
Fun game! I liked the slime's squishiness a lot
Not sure what I did, but the guy got extra big by himself :D photo_2024-10-08_11-59-03.jpg
Interesting concept for the game, great job!
The same as @spica  I didn't feel like I was doing much, but the little blob became huge by eating everything within its reach... all by itself!
Salut :D j'aime beaucoup le concept et les visuels sont top, gg à vous là-dessus ! Pensez à rajouter un peu de contexte (menu ou autre) pour mieux comprendre comment fonctionne la mécanique, mais continuez comme ça !
I do not know what should I do :) as it grows by himself
I may be one of the very few that didnt quite understand what to do I am sorry! But the art was done well and nice little music :)
Sooooooo cuuuteeeee❤️❤️❤️
The game is fun, music is super cute. (Don't press 'Q') Have a great day.
Art of the slime is very cute! The game itself was quite hard to figure out as it seems like you keep on growing just by moving.
Ended up growing so big that the game crashed :D
It needs polish, but it has potential, it has a good gameplay idea, and amazing art!
Great art design, the slime creatures are super cute, and I really like them. The process of growing bigger after eating, as well as the gaming experience it brings, is full of fun!
It's a pretty and ambitious thing you've got going here, but I think your slime needed a lot more time in the oven.
For one thing, you left your debug controls in the game (pressing W shrinks the slime and softlocks the game, and pressing Q grows the slime and eventually *crashes* it), and the *actual* controls, which are somewhat unintuitive, aren't posted anywhere on the Ludum Dare entry page or in the game itself - after softlocking the game three or four times, I finally found the controls hidden on the Itch.io download page.
As for the actual gameplay...as noted, it basically plays itself after a while (assuming you don't accidentally break the game trying to use WASD controls). It's pretty clear from the filename that you were going for a Katamari Damacy-like, but I think it really misses the mark on that.
You really should've passed this game in front of the eyes of a few testers before releasing it.
(Also, not to be petty, but your big animated GIF banner misspells the game's name.)
Art looks good. The game feel very unintuitive other wise, unfortunately. Lack of any instructions (in game, here or itch) with the combination of debug tools available makes it pretty harsh when trying to figure out what's going on. There also doesn't seem to be any exit button, unless you fail. This annoyed me a bit. There also seemed to be a score but it wasn't showing for me in the UI anywhere.
I do feel the music fits and you have captured the essence of the theme well.
Regardless, ambitious and good effort. Good work!
It's an engaging game with an excellent theme and a visual style that’s just as impressive. God Job!
So sad that the game got bugs, i didn't have to move to grow and them it crash :'(, but graphics are so cool and the music too.
MLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEMM
Definitely got the softlock when growing too large like others have said. The art is really cute, but I do think there could be a little more lerping between movement targets, as a whole it feels very jumpy when the slime "snaps" onto the targets or its own lure in a way that doesn't feel good. The sense of scale as your grow is nice though, I wish your enemies also scaled with you too since at a certain point the game just ends up playing itself. Still nice work to the team!
