Wholesome af, great message.
This is so fucking cute
Great stuff! I've never actually played dwarf fortress, but I understand the premise and had fun with this :)
Great game! On Ubuntu chrome at least the HTML5 page scrolls down the game with the arrow inputs so you can't really play it on there - otherwise it works well.
They do actually - they reset to whatever you had when you started the floor, like a checkpoint. That way when you get to the end of the game they're all totaled up. Thanks for playing my game though, glad you enjoyed it! :)
Thank you @ARuculaDoMal, that is good feedback for the safes. And yeah, I've been in contact with one of my actual artist friends to help :^)
This was funny. I think some ambient sound that increases in complexity/tone would be perfect for something like this. Great entry!
Fantastic, as expected. The graphics are stunning especially considering how few colors you used (what, like 5?). I wasn't good enough to get through with 6, but I had a lot of fun. The resting point mechanic is genius.
Great art and music! (and thank you for including a linux build!!!)
Not bad at all for 7 hours!
Holy shit this is amazing. These are by far the best graphics I've seen in the Jam, and the audio is really good as well. Damn.
:ok_hand:
Multiplayer highscore is impressive, for some reason this game is pretty fun despite its total simplicity. Nice work.
This is excellent! The only gripe from me is the bug where they can take your tiles, otherwise I was having a lot of fun. Really well done UI for operation selection, and great concept.
@rs11s21n the theme is running out of space, our game's theme is running out of spacebars
@historymaker118 the theme is running out of space, our game’s theme is running out of spacebars. thanks for the feedback!
@quicklyer Thanks! The code is pretty sloppy and has some hardcoded stuff that really shouldn't be, but feel free to look! :P standard ludum dare quality code. And I've been thinking about a postmortem, but also might continue the project ;)
Holy crap this is a better executed version of Furtive Fortune that I made a year or two ago, a stealth game where more money makes you louder. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/furtive-fortune
The digestion feature is fucking genius and I absolutely love the animation. Feels like Toy Story or something. Amazing job here
I love some 3d pixel art and I looove some hitlag. Really impact bowling!
Very excellent game idea! This is probably the best take on the theme I've seen.
This is easily the best compo game I've seen. Such satisfying movement. Lots of potential to continue developing this one as well.
Thank you for the kind words :) @cassio-eduardo I do agree, I think that would be a lovely solution as I was frustrated by the planets ranges at times myself.
I hope to continue working on this game and flesh it it out to maybe make it more "game-y" as well.
@ryusui probably should have made it more clear, there are a couple of asteroid belts in the system that you can farm and events should spawn as you complete planets. thanks for playing!
@kmazzio I definitely struggled with the theme, was aiming for "building blocks of life" as the currency rather than life directly.
Wow this is insanely ambitious for an LD game, nice job. More ways to die and possibly events as the years go by would be neat to make building more varied.
Very heartwarming <3
Very cute art, managed to beat it pretty quickly.
Fantastic graphics and lighting, some audio and varied enemies would make this great :)
This is an amazing concept.
Quite pretty! Once I got the hang of the powerups it was very enjoyable.
Holy polish!
This is a bold thing to make, and it has the charm to carry it. Good job.
Nice theme interpretation. The conversation looping is really smart, although I'm not good enough to figure out more than like 2/6
Wow I think this was the best game in the jam. How you managed this production quality I will never know. Good job, and good concept.
This is absolutely hilarious. I hope y'all win the humor category
This is really fun, the player progression is genius too. Very replayable.
Managed to beat it! Had a bit of trouble until I realized you could light the torch, but then it was smooth sailing and I could focus on optimizing movements. Great concept imo, was surprisingly fun!
Polished as usual Sheep!
This was a really fun game but you should've opted out of Audio, per the rules. Either way good job.
This was quite fun and I am extremely impressed how fluid the "rope physics" are. I think it would have been beneficial to include a way to tighten the rope once you have the loop completed so that it was easier and less random to get the enemies to hit the edges. Either way, great take on the theme and good job.
This is one of the best-looking games I've seen in a jam. Kudos to the artist and whoever designed the character!
Way too dark, so it was hard to see the level layout or enemies at all :(
Thanks! The design is definitely a little cryptic, since we we kind of ran out of time on level design. The idea was you might need a few loops around to slowly find them all.
@sindri @jamster Slightly lowered the speed! Hope that makes it a tad more playable, we were worried about it being too slow and frustrating having to wait out the loops.
@kuro Just uploaded a Windows build to the itch page. No idea if that'll fix it, but fingers crossed.
Wow, incredible mechanical control and a great presentation. I would 100% buy a full game version, kinda dying to play this with actual levels!
Nice concept, this was cute!
The combat in this is great! Love the character animations.
This is amazing, easily one of if not the best jam game I've ever played. Ended up 100%ing it. Would love to see a full version of this on PC or Switch or something, I'd buy the shit out of it
Wow. Incredible, possibly the best game in this jam. I want this to be a full game so bad, with maybe a small control tweak (right click to pick up stuff would be great, since it is sometimes hard to grab stuff so precisely while moving tentacles).
This is fantastic, easily one of my favorite games in this jam. It's way too hard for me at the moment, but I could see it working great as a full game as well with some neat options for progression systems.
Way more polished than any jam game I've seen, did you make this solo? Unfortunately level 8 was extremely frustrating so I couldn't get past it.
Made it to 630. Simple but fun, some added dangers/enemies could make it even more interesting.
Great final sequence. Took me until towards the end of the game to realize you have to unload the gun. Great job!
This is one of my favorites so far for sure. My mind is blown at the concept and the level of polish. The fact that the high score is reused as the "level" for the next game is so cool.
Lmao this might be the most... creative use of the theme I've seen so far. Completed it in 16 minutes, kudos on the puzzle design.
This one is cute! The controls are pretty solid and I like the consistent style.
Oh man I thought this was pretty decent until I got to the boss and that kinda blew me away. Super polished entry, the "controls" testing area is also genius. Solid humor despite only having a few lines of text lol
Thanks! Our artist Ben has been practicing environment modeling/design recently so really we just got lucky. Effects wise it's mostly stock Unity effects that I've got very comfortable with over time like built-in fog and skyboxes. (Also it's a jam game so it did take all 72 hours, and I mean *all*)
Thanks! @iuunno once you upgrade the storage you can scroll using the mouse to the next slot while having your magnet deployed. Alternatively pressing 1-5 to swap slots works
@cvetk0 Thanks! It is possible to strafe up/down with Space and Shift.
Very polished UI and nice lighting effects :)
Wow, this is really great. The mood is serene and the visuals are really cool. I was invested in the grind but then my game crashed after climbing the ladder with a pocket full of platinum :(
Really similar to our underwater exploration game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/f-r-i-e-n-d) but more polished and somehow you did this as just 1 person? o.o
EDIT: Went back in for another go since it was fun, and actually made it to the credits this time. Nice work.
Thanks for the kind words y'all. @vlandemart Apologies for the poor setup but here is a tiny clip of some gameplay on console https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UFPp7Tnxzk
