LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

The more hair you have... by Naca 2017-12-07T03:20:10Z

Wholesome af, great message.

Hunt Together by Gao Ming 2017-12-06T04:23:59Z

This is so fucking cute

Elf Fortress by jormybb 2017-12-05T22:12:30Z

Great stuff! I've never actually played dwarf fortress, but I understand the premise and had fun with this :)

Cats are assholes by deepnight 2017-12-05T04:41:24Z

Great game! On Ubuntu chrome at least the HTML5 page scrolls down the game with the arrow inputs so you can't really play it on there - otherwise it works well.

Furtive Fortune by Jake White 2017-12-05T23:16:26Z

They do actually - they reset to whatever you had when you started the floor, like a checkpoint. That way when you get to the end of the game they're all totaled up. Thanks for playing my game though, glad you enjoyed it! :)

Furtive Fortune by Jake White 2017-12-06T02:11:47Z

Thank you @ARuculaDoMal, that is good feedback for the safes. And yeah, I've been in contact with one of my actual artist friends to help :^)

CTRL FRK by slovnoslomo 2017-12-05T23:17:48Z

This was funny. I think some ambient sound that increases in complexity/tone would be perfect for something like this. Great entry!

Magus O-Minus by Nucleose 2017-12-05T21:00:53Z

Fantastic, as expected. The graphics are stunning especially considering how few colors you used (what, like 5?). I wasn't good enough to get through with 6, but I had a lot of fun. The resting point mechanic is genius.

Molly's Space Nursery by Beebo Studios 2017-12-05T01:46:28Z

Great art and music! (and thank you for including a linux build!!!)

Greedy Guy! by farofa0 2017-12-07T03:14:51Z

Not bad at all for 7 hours!

Neon Hell by SirPumpyJam 2017-12-06T02:49:09Z

Holy shit this is amazing. These are by far the best graphics I've seen in the Jam, and the audio is really good as well. Damn.

Phase by pichuscute 2017-12-05T21:16:58Z

:ok_hand:

LD42 — Running out of space

Tetroids by CodeChomper 2018-08-14T19:26:25Z

Multiplayer highscore is impressive, for some reason this game is pretty fun despite its total simplicity. Nice work.

Prime Planets by bazld 2018-08-14T18:54:34Z

This is excellent! The only gripe from me is the bug where they can take your tiles, otherwise I was having a lot of fun. Really well done UI for operation selection, and great concept.

Backspace Bouken by Jake White 2018-08-14T15:16:29Z

@rs11s21n the theme is running out of space, our game's theme is running out of spacebars

Backspace Bouken by Jake White 2018-08-14T19:07:14Z

@historymaker118 the theme is running out of space, our game’s theme is running out of spacebars. thanks for the feedback!

Backspace Bouken by Jake White 2018-08-17T23:41:26Z

@quicklyer Thanks! The code is pretty sloppy and has some hardcoded stuff that really shouldn't be, but feel free to look! :P standard ludum dare quality code. And I've been thinking about a postmortem, but also might continue the project ;)

LD44 — Your life is currency

Hammed Robbery by YouBeStrong 2019-04-30T19:08:44Z

Holy crap this is a better executed version of Furtive Fortune that I made a year or two ago, a stealth game where more money makes you louder. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/furtive-fortune

The digestion feature is fucking genius and I absolutely love the animation. Feels like Toy Story or something. Amazing job here

Death Alley by DuzzOnDrums 2019-05-01T22:14:56Z

I love some 3d pixel art and I looove some hitlag. Really impact bowling!

City33 by Mr_Field 2019-05-01T22:34:08Z

This is beautifully made, very impressive for one person! The graphics are gorgeous and you really managed to paint a mood with such a limited color scheme. I'm impressed, the world feels real and this is one of my favorites.

Immortal's game by dodormeur 2019-05-02T18:16:15Z

Very excellent game idea! This is probably the best take on the theme I've seen.

Heartaker by lukbebalduke 2019-05-01T16:54:19Z

This is easily the best compo game I've seen. Such satisfying movement. Lots of potential to continue developing this one as well.

HONC: The Building Blocks of Life by Jake White 2019-05-01T21:12:41Z

Thank you for the kind words :) @cassio-eduardo I do agree, I think that would be a lovely solution as I was frustrated by the planets ranges at times myself.

I hope to continue working on this game and flesh it it out to maybe make it more "game-y" as well.

HONC: The Building Blocks of Life by Jake White 2019-05-01T23:42:04Z

@ryusui probably should have made it more clear, there are a couple of asteroid belts in the system that you can farm and events should spawn as you complete planets. thanks for playing!

@kmazzio I definitely struggled with the theme, was aiming for "building blocks of life" as the currency rather than life directly.

Deathless World by Adrien Dittrick 2019-05-01T16:21:07Z

Wow this is insanely ambitious for an LD game, nice job. More ways to die and possibly events as the years go by would be neat to make building more varied.

Ollo's Life by Memel06 2019-05-01T15:44:21Z

Very heartwarming <3

Space Robots: Fight for Freedom by Fenderbate 2019-05-02T14:33:42Z

Very cute art, managed to beat it pretty quickly.

Harvester by Elnu 2019-05-01T21:28:17Z

Nice little polished game for 24 hours.

DEA-7H by b3agz 2019-04-30T19:32:34Z

Cute game, I'm a sucker for pixel art in 3D.

Life Pact by jaoel 2019-05-01T22:40:23Z

Tight controls and nice animation, would like a toned down screen shake though!

Heart Sacrifice by Predrag 2019-05-01T16:27:09Z

Fantastic graphics and lighting, some audio and varied enemies would make this great :)

LD45 — Start with nothing

Lost in Translation by Sheepolution 2019-10-08T10:13:36Z

This is an amazing concept.

Nüllptr by egordorichev 2019-10-10T04:16:38Z

Quite pretty! Once I got the hang of the powerups it was very enjoyable.

Draw Your Own Adventure! by detectiveLosos 2019-10-10T04:01:22Z

Holy polish!

Real-time Gardener by sebastianscaini 2019-10-08T00:13:52Z

This is a bold thing to make, and it has the charm to carry it. Good job.

Eventualities by Human Writes Code 2019-10-08T08:23:37Z

Nice theme interpretation. The conversation looping is really smart, although I'm not good enough to figure out more than like 2/6

Palely by Fluffy_Kaeloky 2019-10-08T23:59:51Z

Wow I think this was the best game in the jam. How you managed this production quality I will never know. Good job, and good concept.

Sneeter by bubblewandgames 2019-10-10T03:25:55Z

This is absolutely hilarious. I hope y'all win the humor category

Ludum Dare Simulator by Marcin J 2019-10-08T07:39:28Z

This is really fun, the player progression is genius too. Very replayable.

From Rags to Riches by ToC 2019-10-08T09:52:20Z

took a while, lol. nice game

LD46 — Keep it alive

Save the Timetree by ResidualToast 2020-05-08T02:42:27Z

Managed to beat it! Had a bit of trouble until I realized you could light the torch, but then it was smooth sailing and I could focus on optimizing movements. Great concept imo, was surprisingly fun!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

SNAKE SNAKE SNAKE by Sheepolution 2020-10-07T05:01:55Z

Polished as usual Sheep!

Another One Loops the Dust by limered 2020-10-07T06:24:21Z

This was a really fun game but you should've opted out of Audio, per the rules. Either way good job.

DEATH STRING by miziziziz 2020-10-07T07:02:58Z

This was quite fun and I am extremely impressed how fluid the "rope physics" are. I think it would have been beneficial to include a way to tighten the rope once you have the loop completed so that it was easier and less random to get the enemies to hit the edges. Either way, great take on the theme and good job.

Stagnatum by Cosmic Adventure Squad 2020-10-07T07:31:08Z

This is one of the best-looking games I've seen in a jam. Kudos to the artist and whoever designed the character!

Mission ∞ by ryzy27 2020-10-07T09:24:47Z

Way too dark, so it was hard to see the level layout or enemies at all :(

All A Board by Jake White 2020-10-05T23:40:37Z

Thanks! The design is definitely a little cryptic, since we we kind of ran out of time on level design. The idea was you might need a few loops around to slowly find them all.

All A Board by Jake White 2020-10-07T05:38:09Z

@sindri @jamster Slightly lowered the speed! Hope that makes it a tad more playable, we were worried about it being too slow and frustrating having to wait out the loops.

@kuro Just uploaded a Windows build to the itch page. No idea if that'll fix it, but fingers crossed.

You're A Loop by RIBOUT Horace 2020-10-07T08:25:24Z

Wow, incredible mechanical control and a great presentation. I would 100% buy a full game version, kinda dying to play this with actual levels!

Beyond Death by Trypants 2020-10-07T04:28:51Z

Nice concept, this was cute!

Hung On Justice by Raphiell 2020-10-07T09:16:02Z

The combat in this is great! Love the character animations.

GLITCH LOOP by ZakAmana 2020-10-07T04:15:13Z

This is amazing, easily one of if not the best jam game I've ever played. Ended up 100%ing it. Would love to see a full version of this on PC or Switch or something, I'd buy the shit out of it

SUSHI INK. by pbootly 2020-10-07T10:22:50Z

Wow. Incredible, possibly the best game in this jam. I want this to be a full game so bad, with maybe a small control tweak (right click to pick up stuff would be great, since it is sometimes hard to grab stuff so precisely while moving tentacles).

YOUR TIME by m7rk 2020-10-07T08:58:01Z

Really difficult but a great concept & great execution, good job. Enemies could use some visual feedback when you hit them.

Space Drummer by Guilloteam 2020-10-07T08:17:17Z

This is fantastic, easily one of my favorite games in this jam. It's way too hard for me at the moment, but I could see it working great as a full game as well with some neat options for progression systems.

Looper by Shortbread 2020-10-07T07:39:40Z

Way more polished than any jam game I've seen, did you make this solo? Unfortunately level 8 was extremely frustrating so I couldn't get past it.

Apocrypha by Ravarix 2020-10-07T10:53:08Z

Got quite far, the bit after the dead-end small room w/ the hole in the wall stumped me. Great ambience, horror jam games are always fun to me lol

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Manic Miner by ryannielson 2021-04-28T17:18:24Z

Made it to 630. Simple but fun, some added dangers/enemies could make it even more interesting.

Endoparasitic by miziziziz 2021-04-28T17:08:46Z

Great final sequence. Took me until towards the end of the game to realize you have to unload the gun. Great job!

Infinity Dive by keepee 2021-04-29T01:50:47Z

This is one of my favorites so far for sure. My mind is blown at the concept and the level of polish. The fact that the high score is reused as the "level" for the next game is so cool.

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-04-29T14:56:15Z

Lmao this might be the most... creative use of the theme I've seen so far. Completed it in 16 minutes, kudos on the puzzle design.

Get to the choppa! by cvetk0 2021-04-27T19:59:47Z

This one is cute! The controls are pretty solid and I like the consistent style.

GRAPPLE the Abyss! by lectvs 2021-04-27T20:48:28Z

Oh man I thought this was pretty decent until I got to the boss and that kinda blew me away. Super polished entry, the "controls" testing area is also genius. Solid humor despite only having a few lines of text lol

AeroCat by W0oly 2021-04-27T20:35:34Z

Love the multiple playstyles allowed with the rotation movement.

F.R.I.E.N.D. by Jake White 2021-04-27T20:07:03Z

Thanks! Our artist Ben has been practicing environment modeling/design recently so really we just got lucky. Effects wise it's mostly stock Unity effects that I've got very comfortable with over time like built-in fog and skyboxes. (Also it's a jam game so it did take all 72 hours, and I mean *all*)

F.R.I.E.N.D. by Jake White 2021-04-27T22:44:06Z

Thanks! @iuunno once you upgrade the storage you can scroll using the mouse to the next slot while having your magnet deployed. Alternatively pressing 1-5 to swap slots works

F.R.I.E.N.D. by Jake White 2021-04-29T06:03:49Z

@cvetk0 Thanks! It is possible to strafe up/down with Space and Shift.

Diary of Sedah by azagaya 2021-04-27T21:23:05Z

Very polished UI and nice lighting effects :)

Blackout by Frasse 2021-04-29T15:20:35Z

Loved this one, especially exploring the house afterwards. Very charming!

Oceanwork by Warrrkus 2021-04-28T16:04:21Z

Wow, this is really great. The mood is serene and the visuals are really cool. I was invested in the grind but then my game crashed after climbing the ladder with a pocket full of platinum :(

Really similar to our underwater exploration game (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/f-r-i-e-n-d) but more polished and somehow you did this as just 1 person? o.o

EDIT: Went back in for another go since it was fun, and actually made it to the credits this time. Nice work.

Nestence by guimm12 2021-04-28T17:11:37Z

This is really great for a compo entry, I imagine the lack of sound allowed the rest of the game to be such a unique experience. I would never dare to try something like this in 48hrs lol, nice work.

LD49 — Unstable

Bloom by Jake White 2021-10-07T07:35:07Z

Thanks for the kind words y'all. @vlandemart Apologies for the poor setup but here is a tiny clip of some gameplay on console https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8UFPp7Tnxzk
