This is an amazing concept.
Such a wonderful game!
Cool idea and nice way to learn the language. I like it! It could be great to offer a choice of real-word languages. Would be an awesome learning tool!
Perfect score and well deserved if you ask me, hats off, Franti for making this game
WONDERFUL! One of my fav LD 45 game so far. Simple but investing gameplay, interesting concept, pleasing audio and graphics. 11/10 would play again.
I'd totes play "a full version" of it, like a 3-4hrs puzzle game around this theme or something
I enjoyed the silent movie feel, with intro and simple control, and most of all the hard thinking required to get through the game. very rewarding. pu disul game! ku stoi?
Really fun idea and execution! It seems like a fun exercise to do with kids learning a second language in school. Really good entry for LD45!
I liked this game. It's original and athmosferic. I really like how characters move :)
Loved how the visuals tie together + music. Good gameplay idea with the language barrier. you could almost abstract with any symbol systems and release it anywhere :)
This is a very good entry! I like the music and the visuals, and how they fit together very well. It was fun to discover what words meant, and how to use them. I feel like I've learned another language! I opened up Notepad next to the game screen, and tried to decipher the words and sentences from there. Well done!
Finally got around to it! Was particularly interested in playing this one, since I considered the same idea before I decided to go ahead with my gardening game instead. As an avid conlanger I couldn't resist. Bit easy (would've been fun to see at least a few grammatical differences from English to figure out), but I love this sort of thing nonetheless! <3 The silent film presentation is a lot of fun and the noise is a nice touch. Music is great, but I see you opted out of the audio category, so I guess it's stock? Still, good choice! The world needs more languagey games.
@everyone Thanks for all the kind words!
@ava-skoog Thanks! It would be fun to create a bigger version with an actual advanced con-lang. And yes it's royalty free music by Kevin McLeod.
It was really hard, so I've very proud to compete this great quest game =)
Interesting! I was able to beat it. I got stuck a while, but that was mostly because I wasn't sure what I could interact with (especially if it was small). But otherwise I liked how you could figure things out through what people were saying. Nice job!
What a fun game! It's really hard tho
As soon as you press 'ü','ö' or 'ä', the game crashes
This is the most original take on the "start with nothing" idea. Really well done.
Great game, I'm not sure what i said in the game but i managed to beat it :D
Perfect game ! If only we had the same kind of game to learn a new language! I think there is something to think about!
Natopi, pu tep Taldius! Really awesome game, it's simple but work so well. Nice job!
Best game I played in this Ludum so far, the concept is amazing! I got the feeling I could learn a language really fast by playing that kind of game! You should definitely keep working on it IMO
Cool idea, I like the style of graphics and music! Very well done and original
_Franti! Bis fraks/fraks. Pu disul Lost In Translation. Nadrem._
Good job, I really liked the idea, and it was scoped very well (not too much to learn at once). The silent movie style was very well done too.
There was next ot know friction when I first played it, but I tried a second time, armed with more knowledge, and I kept confusing the characters with simple sentences. And Jacob would not sell me 2, 3, or 10 apples. ^_^
This was very well done, good job, and thanks for making it!
Hey, congrats on taking first place in three categories (including overall) and 2nd place in two more (including fun)! I gave the game a shot and it's a really cool idea! Franti!
Congrats on getting #1 in overall!

What a delightful game, the music is fantastic, and it's a neat little "puzzle" game trying to figure out the words you need
Great scores for a great game, congrats! I enjoyed playing it. :smile_cat:
Franti ! Really nice game :)
how do I downvote a comment

I remember when I had to translate the labeling from Arabic and it was a problem, because the standard translators translated too crookedly, and this is, after all, official information for the consumer. It's good that I found interesting information, you can [view publisher site](https://pickwriters.com/arabic-translation-services) and make your own conclusions about companies which translate from Arabic. I was able to see from this list which company is the best and then ask them for help. That's what I recommend if you have a problem with translation.
Several years ago, I went to Spain without knowing Spanish at all. I wanted to communicate with the local population, but not everyone understood English. Luckily, I found a great [spanish translator](https://www.translate.com/english-spanish), which translates flawlessly from English to Spanish. With this translator, I was able to communicate freely and made many friends.
Such an interesting topic, thank you!
I often use the services of the translation service [Translatefortoday.com](https://translatefortoday.com/) and I have always wondered how they convey the essence of the text from one language to another so accurately? I studied foreign languages at the university, but I had no talent for translation, so I am doubly admired by the specialists who conquered this profession.
In order not to experience any inconveniences when translating words from a foreign language, I used the services of good tutors for learning a foreign language. For example, Russian is quite difficult until you start communicating in it with a tutor. I advise you https://preply.com/en/online/russian-tutors. This is a great site.
I agree that it's pretty original, and for me, it turned out to be pretty inspiring to learn a second foreign language!
It really makes you feel like you're learning a new language. It's pretty entertaining, and that's why I'm a huge fan of apps that allow you to learn a language. Recently, I managed to discover the [best german learning app](https://linguatics.com/best-apps-to-learn-german/), and when I was playing this game, it reminded me of this app, so it was quite motivating.
