Impressive amount of work done in this short time!
This is the most original take on the "start with nothing" idea. Really well done.
I had to rate this and play it as I imagine it's difficult to find people with VR headset to play. Solid submission with a lot of variety, well done!
Really loved the idea, and the music was great to listen to. Good work!
The concept and the graphics were really appealing, well done!
This was a really nice stress relief, really well done on the atmosphere.
I never won, but it's impressive that you build in match making, as well as bot AI in this time. Well done!
Looks great! Your youtube videos actually inspired me to participate in this game jam.
I love the theme!
I love the zelda influences and the graphics. A really solid submission.
I enjoyed the quirky comments. I only found out later that there was a monster at the end when looking at the comments. I thought you were calling me the monster. Had fun though, good job.
The look and feel of the game is very visually appealing, great job.
Enjoyed the platforming, and the querky text. The music quickly got old, but at least you included it. I enjoyed the simple graphics and simple mechanics.
I enjoyed your take on "start with nothing". I liked the level design and how you needed each part to move forward. The camera while jumping made me feel a bit sick after a while though.
Otherwise good job!
Played without a controller because I'm actually at work haha, but I really enjoyed the attacking animations, meaning I had to precisely and not just button bash. Well done.
I wasn't sure what to expect from reading the comments, but now I understand. This gave me a lot of good laughs.
This is impressive for 2 students, well done!
I enjoyed your take on the theme, where you start with nothing known about Billy and slowly uncover information about him. I also enjoyed the sounds and the music. Well done.
Really enjoyed this one!
Lots going on and I'm struggling to complete it, but well done!
Thank you haha, probably the only thing that is good about my attempt. The actual gameplay loop is more frustrating than fun. You never feel good about using your abilities.
Yeah, sounds were a let down. I lost too much time trying to make the main game loop fun that I didn't manage my time well and missed out on adding sound.
I... completely forgot to explain the controls... Wait, let me update the post
I've updated my post with controls and an explanation of abilities.
@zimennik that is 100% where I got my inspiration from haha.
@nodli I exported all my textures as 4k, then forgot to downscale them at the end!
@veer I plan to explain how I made those art assets in the future. It's actually simple, you just need tools that can be pricy. If you give me a way to contact you, I will send you the post when I make it.
@yaroslav-kravtsov Thanks for the honest review, I was also disapointed with the gameplay. I will try my best to implement those tips in my next jam. I was a bit disordered and didn't plan my time well for my first one.
@mrerdalural I actually have been inspired to turn this into more haha. I loved the style so much that I'm seeing if I can make a toy based Zelda like RPG. Did some work on it last night.
@mrerdalural I've never really posted anything I do online, so this is all new to me haha
I'll see if I can set something up in the next 20 days and make an update on my profile here to the relevant page.
I'm in love with the art style, well done!
