Cool concept! Love the art and overall vibe of the game. And full marks for originality. I also like that you had a group photo in there as an easter egg!

A very cool concept! Very enjoyable

I also found the movie theater, love it. I mostly enjoyed my time with the game; the controls were a little slidey which made it somewhat fiddley to try and guide the wisp into the lanterns. I feel like holding q doesn't work. Whenever I hold q instead of just tapping it I enter meditation mode when I press it, then leave it when I let go. I would also love a button to teleport my astral spirit back to me. It feels like I have to walk everywhere twice.

Loved the atmospheric environment and visual style, fun gameplay too although movement was difficult and a bit janky when it came to platforming

mor-halperin 2019-10-08 11:41

cool concept and environment, love the actions, original indeed :) i was fun to fly/hover - for a few moments i manage to go outside the bars and fly in the white matrix, didn't manage to get beyond the second room with the purple light lamps, but thats probably just me sucking :P

Loved the Easter Egg! I got as far as the part where the monk can pick up the pile of stones, and then I didn't know what to do after that. Moving around obstacles was a bit finicky with the monk. I got stuck several times because I wasn't able to jump over my own stones and had to pick them up first. It was difficult at first getting the wisp into the lanterns, but I love flying, so it was overall enjoyable.

I wish there had been a little more story, rather than just puzzle rooms. Good job!

mimusangel 2019-10-08 11:53

The game is really cool! I will not describe you or but there is a collision-free wall so I'm falling into the void: p

randdir 2019-10-08 16:01

Nice concept and good job with the original ambiance style. Well done team. Keep it up !

nachtwitch 2019-10-08 21:49

Wow. Just wow, I have no words for this piece of art

Love level design and style this game. The concept is very cool, I have liked the spirit mode! ^_^

xotsu 2019-10-08 22:01

Awesome graphics! Good game concept

I loved the idea and the mood of the game. It was difficult to control the monk some times, and the platforming was very difficult. There was a time I jumped through the gap instead of jumping the block in the wall. There was also a time where I got trapped in a room and couldn't finish it...

Besides this, it's very fun to use both the monk and the astral body to progress! The mysterious levels were great. I also liked the easter egg. Just a heads up: there is a point without collision, where you can fall below the map.

This is flipping fantastic. I was not sure what I was walking in on when trying this game. The puzzle mechanics are really interesting. I swear I have been struggling for a looong time to find a way to incorperate meditation into a video game, as it is a practice I quite enjoy. The idea you all came up with of using meditation to summon the astral body is excellent! Only critique is blocks would often dissapear after picking up. This bug is really easy to look past in a game jam. Also I did find a little easter egg room which made me smile. Excellent job. Thank you so much for your time and for sharing this marvel.

Interesting idea. I feel the level design relies a bit too much on corridors, but it's otherwise solid.

Character controls would benefit from a bit more work. The monk doesn't have enough traction (to be fair, having the main character be controlled through physical forces is hard to get right...), and it always felt like the spirit was veering upwards or downwards when I wanted to go straight. I'm not sure what's up with that.

Game looks great, and has great atmosphere. Had fun with it. Good job!

Very cool game! I found the "secret room" and streamed a playthrough of it too!

The concept and the graphics were really appealing, well done!

danilo-freire 2019-10-09 13:05

If you can generate a mac or web build it would be great! : D

pedro-miranda 2019-10-09 13:14

Really cool game, nice graphics and I like the idea. I found a bug at the start of the game. On the first button, when trying to put the stone on it after releasing the stone it just vanished leaving me traped. Anyway, great entry!

whatnamegames 2019-10-09 14:47

I'm continually amazed by the quality of some entries to this Ludum Dare, this has somehow managed to impress me even further. Awesome job.

yaroslav-kravtsov 2019-10-09 16:19

@pedro-miranda it was intented that player will step on floor button by himself, not by putting stone over it. We didn't thought that it is obvious move from the experience of other games like Portal or Zelda.

dib 2019-10-09 16:20

This is one of my favourite entries I believe. The only drawback is poor looping of the background music. (Our entry has same problem though hehe) Other than that, it was really intuitive to get a feel for the game based on the tips you get in the beginning. At first I couldn't believe a few people had made this in 72 hours. However, I soon realised there was a bigger group than that, when taking a peek into the big propaganda room, if I may call it that, with all you Creators proudly on display. :) This game actually seems small at first, but then you constantly get surprised by how big it really is. Well, for an LD game at least! Good job everyone.

crazyhomeboys 2019-10-09 16:59

I don't know how you organized being such a large team, but the result is there, very well polished. Maybe the particles should be less saturated and not stand out so much to fit your aesthetics better, but otherwise very cool.

PS: A suggestion for the next jam, maybe investigating the light a little better and with some kind of postpro it would have been impressive. But anyway, very good job! :D

roque 2019-10-10 03:31

Very nice concept and implementation, too bad that the game was a bit heavy to run for my low spec pc :/

artzibal 2019-10-10 10:34

I love your game! Good idea. Really original and enjoyable :)

alicecrd 2019-10-10 13:18

Love grpahics, ambiance and the idea ! Just a littler thing : At the beginning at the second door , I passed with the character, but I did not have time to direct the "soul" (Hard with AZERTY keyboard) and it got stuck on the other side and I don't find the way unlocked the door once on the other side... I have to quit and restart..But a good game overall :)

gneetix 2019-10-10 21:07

Really good game ! Graphics are awesome, gameplay are really impressionant ! all the game are really cool ! great job !

fabula-rasa 2019-10-16 16:54

A nice game. Graphics are really cool and the music creates a kind of psychedelic yet meditative atmosphere. Great job!

djindegames 2019-10-17 11:53

Great concept, unfortunately could not finish the game because for some reason I just went through the floor when going on the elevator :/. Anyway the gameplay is cool, and I found the photo of your team :)

sorlok 2019-10-29 02:31

Really great game --loved the mechanics, and just had a lot of fun exploring. Walking felt like the floor was ice, and a lot of buttons (jump, take) seemed un-needed or rarely used. Also I clipped through the floor when walking behind a cabinet and fell forever. But those are fairly minor --the overall feel of the game was great.
