LD45 — Start with nothing

Lost in Translation by Sheepolution 2019-10-08T22:42:30Z

WONDERFUL! One of my fav LD 45 game so far. Simple but investing gameplay, interesting concept, pleasing audio and graphics. 11/10 would play again.

I'd totes play "a full version" of it, like a 3-4hrs puzzle game around this theme or something

Mastafoon! by Local Minimum 2019-10-12T21:30:34Z

Lol it was really cool! I love the "main character" and how much personality this game has with so little storybuilding and general narration. Amazing! <3 A job well done ^^

Void/Entropy by Tygrak 2019-10-10T22:21:22Z

A fun, simple game, I enjoyed the gameplay (wasn't able to beat it tho but maybe I just wasn't playing long enough xD). I really liked how the music was matching with the gameplay and "enemies" spawning. A nice entry!

Stumbling upon meaning in an old town abandoned to its fate by ghust1995 2019-10-10T23:40:25Z

Amazing concept, one of my faves I think. A clever idea for a gameplay and an interesting story. Me likes.

Unlock Everything by DDRKirbyISQ 2019-10-08T21:23:32Z

I'm impressed you were able to create it in 48hrs x.x A nice idea, a challenging (sometimes) gameplay and pleasing graphics. Good work.

Deep Station Fine by ancient-pixel 2019-10-10T23:22:11Z

Oh my, I love how simply and succesfully the characters were created (if you know what I mean). A really nice game, I enjoyed it a lot <3 Really good writing and the simple graphics was perfect, giving a bit of retro vibe. Love it!

The Legend of Sky Stones by Iluvatar 2019-10-11T21:49:24Z

It totally bought me. The story, the graphic and the audio was really good together and I enojoyed the game a lot. It was short but pleasing and I'd love to see longer version of it someday, somewhere. Thed story is really simple but nicely written and really fascinating, with this land of giants and such. One of my fave enteries so far <3 I got a bug of some kind tho, the game kicked me to my desktop two times with no reason. No idea why.

Jesaouf VI by shubart 2019-10-08T22:24:48Z

It was...an interesting experience xD a funny game with cool mechanics. Could use a bit of polishing but it was fun.

Blackout by almost 2019-10-09T16:58:02Z

Oh! A really nice entry we have here. I played it more than once just to check other possibilities. It's fun that with each game the outcome is different! Everythings works smoothly (I wasn't able to toggle audio in the first scene tho - played via browser), it's easy to navigate and use the information share system. The only thing is that the UI could be a litle better visually but it's overally fine and I like the game! Good luck with your next games <3

- V O I D - by AtomFox0213 2019-10-08T21:31:05Z

It was surprisingly pleasing. A short, little game, reminds me of those oldschool "escape room" browser games I used to play when I was a kid. The puzzle was easy but entertaining and the minimalistic graphic was suitable for the game theme imo. Really nice considering it was done by one person :ok_hand:

Tabula Rasa by Dis0rder 2019-10-08T21:42:16Z

Oh my, that was amazing. The whole intro, the idea with notepad and such and then a simple but nice gameplay. The mood was great, a bit unsettling and audio was prefect. Keep up the good work!

The Song of Calirum by Blizary 2019-10-19T21:33:08Z

It's AMAZING. Literally one of the best games from Ludum Dare 45. The atmosphere, gameplay, art, it's all really immersive and I spent good half on hour playing it and exploring the options. One thing that could be made better is that the font used for the game is really not fitting to the theme and kinda hard to read but it's just a minor thingie that do not really affect the gameplay that much. Great work!

The Daily by huskitch 2019-10-19T20:30:27Z

It's fascinating to see an entry with a message in it, something more than just some memes and funny jokes inside. Lovely art style and simple but interesting gameplay. Good job!

Nothing by Bocodillo 2019-10-19T21:47:07Z

Wasn't expecting a cookie clicker-like on LD45! It was interesting and so fun that I played all the way to the end and enjoyed it. 5/5 in theme, really amazing and clever approach.

BioMover by Goodzilla 2019-10-10T22:57:21Z

Ok so actually, despite the lack of music and nicer graphic, it was really fun xD The mechanics were easy and it was an interesting thing to compare the biomorphs and discover how the right one is built. It could use something like a comparision between the children (when you wake up one ti could draw a line perhaps and you can then compare lines? idk. not a mechanics designer) because sometimes it was hard for me to see if the new one was closer to the goal or not. But really, I had a lot of fun and spent pleny on time on this game xD Btw html version do not work for me, had to download the zip. Good work!

My Friends Abandoned Me by SaRNEh 2019-10-19T21:12:47Z

A well made game, especially that you did it all by yourself. Impressive graphic, fitting audio and simple but investing gameplay. Congrats! And don't worry about your friends, we all had those situations on game jams with people suddenly quitting or just not contacting with the rest of the group. Nasz programista na przykład pod koniec jamu stwierdził, że ma już dość pracy nad projektem i zostaliśmy z masą bugów. Pozdrawiam z Polski :v:

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-19T00:10:50Z

A really fun entry! I'm not a huge fan of Flappy Bird-likes but this one was a neat one. Really clever mechanics.

Tale of the Toad King by Beebo Studios 2019-10-10T23:26:38Z

Nice entry! Oh my I love the voices. The music is a bit too loud tho, the narrator voice sometimes gets lost in it.

Scribble from Scratch by Tobias Maushammer 2019-10-11T21:09:54Z

This game is so polished, congrats! It was fun to play and the scribbling sounds literally gave me ASMR xD A nice game with a lot of content, I reallt enjoyed how different solutions can be to the same problem. You guys rock!

No Control by mosaic 2019-10-11T21:26:11Z

It's a nice idea and a pretty wild one but it's a bit hard to understand at first glance even with the tutorial written. The system could be a bit less complicated, something more like in "Baba is you" game maybe? But it's a fun and very clever entry overall, just could be a little simpler ^^

Little Guardian by JUSTCAMH 2019-10-11T21:19:00Z

A game well done! It was fun to play and it all was super smooth and bug-less.

Fairytiles by fre 2019-10-19T21:01:31Z

I just love this game, rated it 5/5 as it's a great and fun concept that kept me exploring all the possibilities for a while. Amazing!

While you're here by Dinorex 2019-10-12T21:22:31Z

A really interesting and definitely unique Ludum Dare entry. The story you told within it is really suerious but I think you nailed it with great mood and storybuilding. It could use a bit more of environment storytelling of course and maybe some less obvious gameplay (even something like opening shelves or something) but it's still impressive for a work of two people. Great work!

Also what really triggered me was that one un-textured lamp part xD

Outline Memory by hollebecq.baptiste 2019-10-09T17:36:28Z

I played this game just since it's kinda similar to ours but looks better and well, it both looks and works better xD It was nice little game, the game design + menu design was impressive and the gameplay was nice. It could use a little depth, something like a story behind it or something but it's just a suggestion. Maybe making the controls a bit smoother could be a nice idea too as I see some of the people feel dizzy playing. I wasn't but I understand that some may do. Good work!

Ships, Sharks and Shanties by Grangerer 2019-10-10T23:06:41Z

It was such a cute game! I really liked the houmour of it and the gameplay was pleasing. Chellenging but fun. A nice entry! Also love the music and the little note about Ulf being doomed xD

In the beginning there was NOTHING. by Palemek 2019-10-12T21:51:04Z

Seeing letters + Douglas Adams + polish names all together made me play this entry instantly! The game was a fascinating experience but at first hard to interact and navigate (as someone else mentioned, it could use a small tutorial or something). A great idea, amazing audio and good graphic interpretation.

(No i oczywiście, gratuluję i pozdrawiam.)

A Fey Lure by limbo 2019-10-09T17:25:27Z

The idea is fine but there is a lot of bugs and minor writing mistakes which shouldn't show up in a text-based game. The game could use a bit of minimalistic UI design (some nice buttons design for example)to make it look less rough. The story I experienced was nice overall

//Właściwie to też dodałbym, że pozdrawiam z Polski, masz ładne grafiki na artstation//

Color Swirl by sansman01 2019-10-10T22:28:35Z

It was fuuun! I really enjoyed the general concept of this game but I think the difficulty level gets too high too early, it could use a bit more of the "slower" movement and longer time for reaction. Nonetheless, it's a great entry and seems bug-less to me which is awesome. Good job guys!

itemless by NachtWitch 2019-10-08T22:13:00Z

It was a nice short game, a fine idea for something bigger, the graphic was simple but clear. Could use a bit better GUI design but it's ok overall ^^ I met no glitches on my gameplay.

Sandbox CTF by Honey Pony 2019-10-19T00:18:58Z

A nice entry! Not really my type of a game but I appreciate it anyways. Didn't meet any bugs so congrats on that! The movement speed was a bit too slow for me but It could be just my personal preference.

(The music and audio is a bit too loud I think btw. but other people already mentioned that)

Grow Your Wolf by Ostrich 2019-10-10T23:34:17Z

It was fascinating, fun and easy to play. The growing furrball was one of the best things I've experienced during LD 45 for sure. 11/10, would try to become a real wolf again.

Memoirs Found in a by Dane Tesla 2019-10-08T22:15:49Z

@shubart 100% agree on this. Our programmer had some life stuff going on at the end of the jam and we were not able to polish it/test it properly >.< Glad you like it tho. Thank you so much for your feedback!

Memoirs Found in a by Dane Tesla 2019-10-09T16:40:56Z

@almost @quack-doctor Thank you for your feedback!

We are aware about the bugs in the journal menu and that the visible part is too small ^^' Our programmer had some stuff gong on at the jam end and we wasn't able to test it and correct those things :< (I'll try to get the Unreal file for thre game and patch those things to make it playable but programming is not my speciality xD) Glad you enjoyed the art though <3

Memoirs Found in a by Dane Tesla 2019-10-10T21:28:49Z

@toadwolf @goodzilla @tygrak @raomer Thank you so much for your feedback! We got a file of the game from our programmer, I'd try to fix as much as I'm capable of fixing <3

Memoirs Found in a by Dane Tesla 2019-10-11T20:11:28Z

@justcamh I'm really impressed that you got to the end actually as it was a bit hard to do it due to all the bugs and problems with this game >.< Really happy to hear it and we're aware that the qoute at the end is looping (the game was supposed to go back to main menu at this point ;;). As I mentioned before, our programmer had some stuff going on just at the end of a jam and that's why it is buggy and unpolished. I just got the game file from him so I'll try to fix at least some of it  Thank you so much for playing and enjoying it.

@poweranze Thank you for the feedback! Didn't expect the eye strain honestly, I think maybe contrasts are set just a bit too high  I agree that the reveal system needs a bit of tweaking.

Memoirs Found in a by Dane Tesla 2019-10-12T21:05:53Z

@milestone-games @local-minimum @iluvatar @daria-toni Thank you for the feedback! While we're working on bug fixes and such (our programmer sadly do not want to work on this game anymore) I added a hint on what to do in the church:

(HINT2: WHILE WE’RE WORKING ON A PATCH, IN THE CHURCH YOU NEED TO INTERACT WITH: meteorite, book, the red name and there is a SYMBOL on one of the church benches (on the same side of the room as the meteorite is). Then proceed to The Forgotten Graveyard location for the last level.)

Hope it helps ^^ It was supposed to be a way more obvious but as I mentioned, our programmer had some stuff going on at the end of a jam and the game is not polished :(

Memoirs Found in a by Dane Tesla 2019-10-19T00:05:13Z

@honey-pony @yazara @yaen Thank you for your feedback! We are aware that there is a bit not enoguh stuff visiblein the game and it's very disorienting. I'll be trying to patch the game with the other artist as our programmer do not want to work on this game anymore :( Glad that you enjoyed at least a bit of it after all!

@druvsaft Hmm that's a nice concept for the interactions. Thanks!

@afendar Thank you!

LEGS by moechen 2019-10-08T15:53:55Z

Really pleasing gameplay, a bit challenging at times. I met no bugs/problems while playing and the artstyle really fits the overall game mood. It was really nice to observe this curious world you've created in LEGS. Love the background leggie-critters.

The only thing is that it at frist wasn't obvious for me which elements may harm you and which do not but it's really a minor thing. I may also be just tired xD

A Dream Of Life by LukeDJ 2019-10-19T20:53:45Z

As much as I liked the theme, sounds and atmosphere that much I diskied the piano level. It was really hard to navigate and click the right ones :< But besides that, a solind entry for sure and one of the more memorable ones.

You remember nothing. by Milestone Games 2019-10-12T21:39:34Z

An interesting entry! At first it was a bit hard to interact with it but I got it finally xD (not a native speaker, maybe that's the reason)Nice job and an interesting story! It could maybe use a bit of ambient/random noises in the background to build the immersion but it's an unique game overall!

MetaSpace by Jahwffrey 2019-10-19T00:36:57Z

I just love it, same as my friend zozol. 11/10 would play a full version of it

GoingAround by MKRaw 2019-10-19T20:36:44Z

It was a fun one but I hoped for a gameplay that is more rhytm-based as the game design kinda suggests that (I think). Nonetheless, still a nice entry.

VoidRunner by TechNSmile 2019-10-09T17:52:03Z

It looks really cool and the music fits the game but the gameplay is a bit buggy and I think the difficulty level gets too high quickly. (Between level 1 and 2, for example). I feel like the game could use a simpler level 2 and maybe some friendlier UI. Maybe an easy "how to play" tutorial? The concept is promising tho ^^

Thana by Charline 2019-10-09T17:08:56Z

Judging by the fact that it was your team's first game it came out really nice! I think that difficulty level waqs really well-balanced (challenging at times, but not frustrating). The art is really cute and pleasing, it's lacking a bit of game design but I aprreciate the idea and main character animations! There was a few very nasty bugs too, I was licked to the other side of the map a few times when I was jumping etc. Good luck with your next games!

Start With Nothing by xudawang 2019-10-09T17:13:26Z

Well, a weird concept but goes well with the theme somehow xD

LD46 — Keep it alive

Meatball VS Gymzilla by davision 2020-04-23T21:09:48Z

I was observing this game growing among other ludum dare posts and I was sending it to my team friends as we were curious what the final effect would be xD A nice entry, it was funny and smart game. As some other people mentioned, it could use some more in-depth tutorial in game but for mutations but actually for me it's not that much of a case here. I enjoyed it as it is, being able to destroy godzilla was for sure one of dreams of mine. keep it up! xD

TITAN, OPSND by Dario Zubovic 2020-05-09T21:59:37Z

It was interesting but I wish the instrustions were available somewhere in game (like, on the other screen or post-it notes, or something). I'm not sure if there is a win condition or not? Anyways, good work and a soild, polished entry ^^

Birdie Burglars by DDRKirbyISQ 2020-04-29T13:45:13Z

5/5, voices of thieves sneaking got me

Watchdog by mao 2020-04-29T12:33:04Z

a cool puzzle game! reminds me of mobile game design. great level design <3 i'm not sure if the audio fits the overall vision tho but it was ok.

Dr. Hackerman by Elemental Zeal Game Studios 2020-04-29T13:26:30Z

nice little game! i enjoyed typing words and typing "play" at the beginning was a great idea. I think that in-game graphic was too clean for a mood the menu was suggesting (retro/vaporwave), it could be a bit more chaotic. but otherwise, good job!

Glory to Tamo by Krassenstein 2020-05-06T15:30:03Z

I love, love, love the graphic, audio and idea! It really could be somthing bigger in the future, like, a beginning for a great adventure where feeding the "god" is just the beginning (like, then you need to travel with Tamo to get back his powers or something?). Anyhoo, a good one! It just got a little boring after some time as some other people mentioned but that's notmal for a jam game I feel. Also the bugs in inventory is a thing to improve but it wasn't a problem for me, it was just looking weird visually xD

Arthur by asfdfdfd 2020-05-08T22:15:52Z

What a cool game! It's really polished and I love the graphics (Lancelot design got me, may I marry him?) <3

Socks by rainbowism 2020-05-08T22:24:13Z

What a cute game aaaa <3 As some other people mentioned there could be some music to make it more interesting but overall it's a polished and fun entry! Buy a coffee/tea for the art director from me ;)

Ihctogamat by OhFiddleDiddle 2020-04-29T11:26:10Z

omg a totally unique one! i love when "real life" gets into ludum dare games and the voiceover of the critter and welcome video were a nice touch (as well as the QR code!). Magnificent, i'll remember this one for a long time after rating games end. good job!

Keep Sweep by Invixel 2020-05-11T12:17:49Z

I love the intro, is it your voice? xD

It was really fun, I liked the music and the concept was hilarious. Good theme implementation. The only weird thing I've encountered was that If I went left for a longer time there was no enemies and no houses to crash. Not sure if it was intentional or not but it was a bit weird since at first there were houses and archers and then suddenly nothing.

Keep Sweep by Invixel 2020-05-12T10:49:10Z

@invixel I was moving both directions then decided to move left only for some time and then it happened. I had some upgrades already so at first I thought that I "won" but there was no endscreen or so xD So yeah maybe it was the issue with slow enemies chase or something.

Rock Bottom by Offz 2020-04-21T19:44:23Z

it was easy to understand and very cute! also thank you for the skip button xD if i was told to improve something it'd probs make the platform and background ratio different (so we can see the whole room) and maybe intro kinda like your intro in the game descritpion ^^

Hextayin' Alive by alareo 2020-04-21T20:08:26Z

I saw that everyone wrote about more instructions and I agree. It was nice to plan everything and see how viruses and people move on the board. I also liked the music, it was relaxing and it fits the futuristic visuals.

No crime will happen here! by landosilva 2020-04-21T19:31:57Z

a nice one! i stumbled upon some of the mentioned bugs but it's a pleasing one overall. i'm not sure if there's no mechanics for it or i was just wrong every time but after making an accusation i was getting only "WRONG ACCUSATION". It'd be nice if there was some clue to it, like "weapon: good suspect: wrong room:wrong" or something so people know if their whole train of thought was good at any place or not ^^ I loved the menu with suspect cards btw

Perish alive by Lyrcaxis 2020-05-11T11:15:45Z

It was a wonderful game and defnitely one of my faves. I really enjoyed the general idea (saving the ocean) and the overall game design. Marvellous!

Keep it @alive by velvetlobster 2020-05-08T22:08:47Z

We also made a game about social media so I had to play this one! I love the graphic and mood and I get the idea but as other people mentioned, there could be a goal maybe? or some random things happening in the background to make it more interesting. Overall a nice entry ^^

Lamps by qkjosh 2020-04-22T14:48:07Z

The only thing this game is lacking is a tutorial in-game I think, some guidance (even like a pop-up comment when you run out of light: "When you run out of the light, talk to the ghost on the chair" or something. Overall it's amazing-looking and I loved the mechanics, mood and idea. I did get stuck on the lamps however, if you're going to patch it, I'd advise to add something like a "teleport to...." button so people can get un-stuck : D Great game!

edit: oh and I loved audio as well <3

What Remains of Us by Iker Díaz 2020-05-06T13:31:53Z

A nice experiment but for me it's lacking a bit of something, maybe a bit of context/beginning? Anyways, I loved the art, audio and mood, good job!

Potos by domkonecny 2020-04-29T11:52:17Z

5/5, I love the gameplay, narration, story, mood, pretty much everything. Def top 100 if not top 10 for me :D

MicroVore by Eran Haas 2020-04-29T14:14:54Z

it was weird. super weird. amazingly unique game : D i found the controls a bit un-intuitive tho but it kinda fits the overall design and weirdness of the game.

Anatomic Mayhem by henrycgs 2020-05-09T21:09:54Z

5/5, a perfect entry. I love multitasking games, even the easy mode was hard somehow xD Amazing!

Story of Lost Demon by Epsulon 2020-04-29T11:35:57Z

I loved the art style and animations, amazing quality for a jam game! <3 I feel like there should be some midway control points where you can save a game? overall a nice entry!

The Dragon's Curse by Aditya Kumar 2020-05-06T15:01:37Z

I'm a simple guy. When I see a game with a "dragon" in the title, I play. It was a great experience, following the story was quite interesting and challenging to find the perfect route. A good one!

Space Exodus by Kaish 2020-05-06T14:35:39Z

I love the simple graphics and an innovative gameplay! I also noticed that each time we get a new ship, that's a nice touch! Great job!

Faire L'Amour aux Plantes by Jenny Bourke 2020-05-11T12:08:23Z

Wow, that was cute and weird xD A good entry, definitely a surprising one!

Ark Survive by Pusheeneiro 2020-05-11T11:05:19Z

Wow, that was great! I love the game design, sounds, music and the gameplay. My mouseDeer died each time tho :pensive: 5/5, amazing entry!

I przesyłam pozdrowienia :D

Heart of Music by lesinvisible 2020-05-08T21:37:38Z

I rated it 5/5, it was amazing! I love the mood and graphics, the idea is great as well, one of my faves from the whole jam! <3 Great work! The soundtrack was delightful as well.

Wood Walker by Memory of God 2020-04-23T01:01:30Z

A nice game, the sound design was marvellous, defnitely top 100 in that, probs in graphics and mood too. Maybe it's just me but I was hoping for something more in there, maybe just some more story in the splash screens or some stuff in the woods to be found other than sticks? A nice and aesthetically pleasing entry overall besides that, good job!

Remember, Apollo by AdamCYounis 2020-05-06T14:42:31Z

i feel like everything that should be told about this game was told, so I want to just add my congratulations, it was good and well-polished one :D

do not go gently by nsadie 2020-04-29T14:07:39Z

i rated it 5/5 because i love the mood, art, polish, sounds and the idea in general. Managed to beat the game : D one thing that could be changed is difficulty (maybe make two difficulty modes, easy and hard?)but overall, I loved it, it;s just a type f a game I like so I decided to rate it high xD

Eat preys, love by anoushcat 2020-04-21T20:33:05Z

@le-slo thank you for your comment! we're happy that you enjoed it <3 we patched the game and uploaded the better one! it turned out that medium mode was harder than hard mode (lol) so we fixed that, you should be able to get a happy cat this time! also remember to kill the bugs, they are pretty important for the final score...

@730 thank you for your honest opinion and glad to hear that it was fun to you! we did the first patch (mostly bug fixing) but some more C-O-O-L-N-E-S-S when you have a high hype is a neat idea! we'll add it in next patch, thank you so much!

@lesslwo Thank you so much for your opinion and glad you enjoyed our game! If you want to hear something from "behind the scenes", the tutorial was way shorter but we got last minute feedback from our friends that some stuff is not clear so I had to write some extra info asap before the time's up xD i'm thinking about polishing it a bit in the next patch we do so next time you play it it may get better if we patch it. thanks and stay safe!

hype dream by Dane Tesla 2020-04-23T21:27:10Z

@ohfiddlediddle thank you so much for your feedback, glad you enjoyed dreaming our *hype dream* owo we're planning a next patch to fix/clearup/edit some stuff and we're probably try to add something more "encouraging/expaining" at the end. but - do you kill the bugs regularly? i don't want to reveal our programmer secrets but I do know that killing the bugs greatly affects the final score :eyes: stay safe!

hype dream by Dane Tesla 2020-04-23T21:31:13Z

@ryzy27 thank you for your feedback, glad you enjoyed it! well, the effect of "i don't clearly know what should i press now" was intended as we wanted to keep the game kinda chaotic and leave some stuff that wasn't explained in the tutorial to be discovered via gameplay :D is there any specific button/place you wasn't sure is UI or not? we're going to do a second patch to this game so we can make this element more visible as an interactive part!

również pozdrawiamy i życzymy growych sukcesów!

hype dream by Dane Tesla 2020-04-23T21:33:18Z

@srknvrnbskrt thank you so much for your feedback and we're happy that it was a fun experience to you! well, i don't think we're capable to create a whole new operation system based on that but if we get funds and such, maybe we'll one day turn it into Windows overlay? time will tell! stay safe! <3

hype dream by Dane Tesla 2020-04-23T21:37:02Z

@mao hello hello and thank you for your feedback <3 glad you liked our game. and yes, it's possible to win on hard mode, it's just...harder! but i've a small tip for you: kill the bugs immadiately when you see them, I know from our programmer that they greatly affect the final score :eyes: and here's a proof it's win-able, I didn't get max stars but still a happy cat :D stay safe and keep up being awesome! hype dream by Dane Tesla 2020-04-29T12:42:12Z

@mandarad @eran-haas thank you so much <3

@arden thank you! the color palette was an artistic choice and it's matching some of the popular "cute" artists on IG. We tested it on my friend with deuteranomaly (greetings Kano, if you're reading it! xD) and he told us that se sees everything fine. Tho I understand that some of the buttons may not seem visible enough. Soo enough of my rambling - could you let us know which specific parts were not clear enough for you? We're planning an update but we need to know what exactly to fix. thank you so much and stay safe!

@ddrkirbyisq congrats on 5 stars! it was quite challenging to get the highest score owo and thank you!

hype dream by Dane Tesla 2020-04-29T12:49:05Z

@roey-shap your comment really touched me personally as I was the director here  glad you like it! and the secret of a lot of assets and overall polish of the game is bpth matter of planning it out first (brainstorm, mockups, asset lists etc.) and I can say we also have a decent working speed xD (lol it probs sounds like boasting ;;) thank you for your comments, we'll try to enchance some contrast in the next update. if we ever get funds or something to make it a real game, changing the minigames is a genius concept for sure (and a version to play on a two screens LOL xD) thank you so much and stay safe!

@potatowu @whitefox @khud0 @notan-lemon @marcusnystrand @gameovermexico @hgcummings @mrowka @virimine @jmad Thank you so much for dreaming our *hype dream* <3 stay safe guys!

@nosfer Thank you! <3 The tutorial was shorter but people who tested it requested some more stuff explained so we delivered ^^'

@henrycgs We wanted to make the windows move-able but it was not possible technically in Game Maker (or at least our programmer didn't knw how to do it quickly during the jam xD) But in case we get famous and we do a full game or something, we'll use this great feature for sure! Thank you <3

@lyrcaxis thank you! and cograttos on trying the hard mode, it doesn't seem to be a popular choice xD

hype dream by Dane Tesla 2020-05-11T11:28:21Z

@velvetlobster thank you and glad that you enjoyed our little game! And lol yes, Emily is away, I wasn't able to recall this game when I was designing it and my team was like "wtf is he talking about, what game". I was a bit inspired by this one, yes but mostly idea-wise as I forgot the game name.

@jenny-bourke @magus24 thank you for dreaming our *hype dream* <3

@invixel Thank you for in-depth comment! We're happy that you enjoyed it <3 As for the keeping the hype alive, there is actually a crowd-thing in-game (The Wobbler, "Twitch") in the bottom right corner where you can see your fans reaction to your game development. However, I understand what you're talking about and I agree that a crowd (or maybe just a viewer's count that cannot drop to 0?) and the animal vievers leaving in case the hype gets really low would be a great improvement and a better way to implement the theme. Thank you so much for this comment, it was definitely eye-opening for me! So no worries, you did good, you stated the problem clearly and it makes sense. Goodnight uwu

Whisper of the Flame by Zachary Rodrigue 2020-04-21T19:59:46Z

A well-made arcade platformer! <3 had a lot of fun with this one. keep it up!

Goat Rider by Notan Lemon 2020-05-09T20:18:32Z

Oh, the game is super fun and cute! I like it ^^ The idea is hilarius <3

The horse needs help by WhiteFox 2020-05-09T19:42:35Z

Congrats on finishing your first game <3 You did good job! It was a cute and clear experience. The one thing I'd impreove would be mouse countrols, it was a bit wibbly-wobbly for me O-O

Keep Yourself Alive by Ege686 2020-05-12T10:59:13Z

It was a fun game! I love how self-conscious was the tutorial (about zombies looking like pickes and such xD) and it was fun to play. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that zombies spawn totally random and each time I lost was the moment when zombie spawned literally on the character so I had almost no time to react. I think there should be a treshhold of some kind for zombie sprawning around the character. Also +1 for egg weapon xD

Little Red Riding Hood And The Good Spirit Of The Woods by Nogam 2020-04-25T00:08:58Z

a great entry! the mood was magnificent and the art is stunning. one of the best ones so far! i like the idea and the clarity of the game. amazing! btw the animation for fighting (well, the ghost hits the ground with his head) is amazing and hilarious xD

Keep Hope Alive? by Karenin Dmitry 2020-05-08T21:50:18Z

I love, love love that the "sad" music kicked in each time the girl had a bad news letter, like, you knew immadiately that the person would be unhappy and you'll be handing a grey letter. The only thing I'd improve would be the artstyle, it fits the mood and such but it's not polished in some moments (like, I know it's scribble-y but still). Overall i like it, I'd love to see a full game with dialogues and more complex plot in the future <3 I also adore that you went with a serious theme, it's a bold idea for a game jam when everyone is doing funny games. God one!

Untitled Mouse Game by Binney 2020-05-11T10:54:17Z

Aaah I love it! <3 I'm terrible with music so I didn't score well but it was amazing <3 One of my fave games for sure.

How to Air by kwaku 2020-05-06T14:55:20Z

Wow, that was neat and polished! I love point and clicks and this was a pleasing and nice adventure. As there is so much good feedback, I'll just note the minor bugs/problems: - you can interact with rock with med kit as much as you want and get a lot of syringes, I guess it's just a bug - it'd be nice if you could control the astronaut with wasd as well as arrows

Also the voice saying "thank you" was marvellous xD English-speaking alien Great job!

Yandere Emulator by 730 2020-04-23T01:25:37Z

I really like that! It was fun and nice to explore, enjoyed the music as well. I've a weak spot for point-n-clicks so it really got me for some time, trying to solve it and to get some of the endings (and death "endings" as well). MMMMMM yes I died many times xD

Well bucket by Jasuse 2020-04-23T01:37:49Z

It was a nice little, clear game (well, clarity is something often missed during jams and games are lacking proper explaination for gameplay so a huge plus on that! you did great)! I was expecting that I'll just go and water plants and see them grow (i didn't read the description first) so feeding a well was a neat plot twist! I liked the environment so good job overall! I wish there was some music but I know the pain of working in sound designer-less team DX Rotation of the character was super weird but I see someone else also mentioned this one.

The Consequences of Gardening by JMad 2020-05-11T11:58:17Z

The guys selling drinks in the bar looks like me and that was a bit unsettling xD

Jokes aside, it's really polished and investing entry, reminds me of "Lone Survivor" very much. Great entry!

Dinder Rush by PotatoWu 2020-05-09T18:47:03Z

I rated it 5/5 because I can, one of my faves, it was hilarius xD I got stuck at tinder-dinder profiles just for the art sake. went for the alien thing first :eyes: Also description is awesome lol, especially this part: "Mr. Rabbit (YOU) (not a furry)" xD I;d really love to see a full game like this. An awesome one!

Aphotic Aquatic by qqcs 2020-04-24T23:58:51Z

a fun entry! i was expecting just feeding fish but the weird stuff that started happening really got me into it. amazing one! if i were to change anything, i'd add some better font to it maybe (to the buttons) but it was nice and challenging :D a great one!

Pass it On by Ryan Jung 2020-04-23T20:49:19Z

Lol I loved it! It was fun and entertaining. Really creative. If I was to correct anything about it, I'd give maybe a few seconds before the timer starts for the first time so the player can read the tips on the bottom first and then proceed to the game ^^ Amazing one, definitely one of the best ld46 games I played so far :D

The Bloodhaven Academy Dragon Club by Truefaux 2020-05-06T15:19:54Z

It was an interesting experience! The gameplay was nice and complex but the stock photos in background are not looking really good. It'd be better if they're blurred, for example, or fitting a specific colors sheme. The just seemed a bit random xD I enjoyed monster fights (who doesn't enjoy them, eh?) it was kinda Pokemon-like. Music was pleasing as well <3

The Last Lighthouse by magus24 2020-05-11T12:28:09Z

Great mood! It was just a bit too hard for me overall ^^' But I'm not playing much first person parkour games so maybe it's issue with me, not with controls. A soild entry, I love the atmoshpere and the theme implementation.

SAVE THE DINOS! by marcusnystrand 2020-05-09T20:22:42Z

A lot of stuff was told so I'll just say that I liked it and gave you 5/5 xD I especially like the sounds.

Eco Therapy by Slurp1e 2020-04-23T20:38:02Z

The art is great, as well as relaxing music and gameplay! Instructions in game description are clear but I don't like the font used, it'd be nice if you could switch it to something more eco-looking? Just a suggestion. It was a fun to discover how stuff in-game affect the meters ^^ if you're going to patch the game, you can add the how-to to the game menu and improve game-menu fonts as well to make this game clearer from the beginning as I see many people are confused. also nice camera controls! overall, a great first entry! my first LD game wasn't even half as good xD

Silkworm: Keeping the Game Alive by Roey_Shap 2020-04-29T13:58:11Z

i loved the narrative! it had kinda Undertale-ish vibs overall. Not a big fan of Undertale but I'm not judging games using my personal taste for similar productions xD I loved the story, and the bug and all those meta-jokes. A great entry!

Two Brot(h)ers - One and the other One by frokes 2020-05-08T22:01:09Z

It was hard but satysfying! I love the artstyle, one of my Global Game Jam games had similar style for menus xD I did it with a pen and a piece of paper. It could use a bit of music in the background. Also yay for Game Maker! <3

Catch The Mouse keep it alive by GameOverMexico 2020-05-09T20:38:43Z

Omg that was HARD. Especially that I don't really play this kind of games xD But well, it was a great one overall, I won't allow my personal inexperience to affect my judging uwu A good one!

Polish Python by rufson 2020-04-21T19:54:19Z

My team told me "hey look at this it's amazing". I did it and yes. It's indeed amazing :v:

HOME by dconn537 2020-04-23T01:13:44Z

A good one! I'm not a SHMUP fan but this one was amazing! The only thing I'd improve is that some of the objects were not clear for the first time if they need to be shot at or should I fly away, or both, or if they damage the ship or not. But I'm a casual in terms of SHMUPs so I may not be a good judge in this case. A great entry overall, I love the "losing" screen and music as well. Everyone told you about great art so I won't be repeating it :P It's great indeed, I love retro.

Social Distance Enforcers by nosfer 2020-05-09T19:51:47Z

Omg a rhytm game xD I was so surprised. I love it! I especially loved the long people waves, I was even moving a little on my chair when slapping them with my stick (hm. I've never expected myself to write such a sentence.)

Pre Call by zimennik 2020-10-25T13:28:29Z

Wow it was top notch! Amazing! One of the best games of this game jam for sure!

Hamster Simulator by ruthiepee 2020-10-25T12:06:49Z

I rated it 5/5 because I found it hilarious xD Great work in one day bt hope your hiking trip was amazing too!

Loop Heart by NeithR 2020-10-25T12:56:45Z

That was so cute and clever! I enjoed every bit of it. Really clever level design and adorable graphics. 5/5 great work!

Dogs Memes For Safety by Theo Ark 2020-10-25T12:33:52Z

A nice entry! And fun inspiration. It was hard to get at the beginning though as other people mentioned but I figured it out :D thanks for making this game!

Impunity by Haustgeirr 2020-10-25T12:02:59Z

A cool little game, I really enjoyed it! <3 Great work and I kope you'll feel better about your projects soon. This one is 5/5 for me ^^ Relatable and polished.

Dragon Loop by JustusPan 2020-10-25T12:20:31Z

Good one! Very relaxing and calm with bursts of rapid clicking in-between xD It was super cool! Tho As many people mentioned, it gets really easy if you train attack and weapon only.

Newster - A Fantasy Social Media Sim by NamidaSai 2020-10-25T11:41:50Z

As we did social media based game on the previous jam, I had to play this one! It was fun experience and really unique, good job!

Infinite Stairs by Muktada Creations 2020-10-25T12:28:47Z

I gave it 5/5 just because it's unique and really captures the mood. I wish there was some kind of a jumpscare or something though. For the the audio "up" and "downs" were clear and I liked that they're a bit disorted. Great one!

you did your best, didn't you by notsomecats 2020-10-25T11:19:58Z

This Ludum I'm totally late on it but! Finnaly got to rating games. I love this one, it;s simple, entertaining and I love the mood. Pity that there was no music but it's still very impressive, amazing job! 5/5

Star-Dogged Moon by Ree Rolph 2020-10-25T11:56:24Z

I'm a simple person, I see "inspired by A Day in the Lonesome October", I play. It was a wonderful experience and I loved the atmosphere! Menu was a little buggy for me tho btw. A great (old hehe) one! I wish the whole story was here x3

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

deepr by phi 2021-05-07T14:38:19Z

Great gods of Ludum Dare, if there is any, please make this game a top 10, i love the idea, i love the mechanics and the social platform feeling of it, i rated it 5/5, please, thank you, amen.

Monkey Quest by paulloz 2021-04-27T15:23:48Z

Wow! SO GOOD! One of the best games I played during this Ludum Dare. I won the game and I'm not too good at arcade games so I think it's perfectly balanced for all players. Great job, 5/5 would play again

Manic Miner by ryannielson 2021-04-27T15:40:34Z

Aww amazing and minimalistic! I love it! I got around 400 as my record and I played a few times. The game is addicting and I like the color change feature. One of the best ones I played so far!! Now I want to make a pixel art game...let's go to work...

Far Side of the Mirror by DDRKirbyISQ 2021-05-09T13:13:09Z

Wonderful game! It was an amazing surreal experience, I loved the dance sequence and the beach time (and of course the ducks) the most. Great job, excellent game, one of the more unique ones of this game jam! 5 :star: for me :3

Aleph Qoph / Duat by ancient-pixel 2021-04-29T20:53:28Z

I love game-experiences and this was a great experience! I adored walking around the desert and figuring out how to plant trees. Amazing concept! Then I checked the comments and holy crap - it is also mutiplayer?! Super cool. I didn't find any players but I appreciate this feature very much. Great job! (especially that it was all done by one person)

The Rim by jokerbomb 2021-04-30T16:07:42Z

Soo good! The atmosphere is amazing, it's so dense and reminds me of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. books a little (as well as some other productions mentioned above). I had a bug when the flying things were unkilleable?? I put dozens of bullets in them and they were still there, also some of their movement glitched. But it wasn't a big deal and the game restared from the beginning of the level not from the beginning of the whole game what is A HUGE plus for me. Cool graphics, the music was a masterpiece, an easy 5/5 for me overall (and I see you patched some stuff, good job!)

Not So Grimm by Rongefilet 2021-05-07T15:00:47Z

So cute! I loved the relaxing and pleaceful exploring aspect of it as well as the "fake 3d" incorporated in it, mixing 2d assets with 3d environment. A solid entry!

Deadlift by slimabob 2021-04-29T20:20:26Z

Aww, I love the advertisement in the beginning of the game description xD Really got me interested in the game and I wasn't disappointed! Really great shooteer, it's hard to make such a game during a jam, especially a good one but yet here we are : D I love the voice acting, it was really well done, and the character movement and atmosphere were really on point. Great theme incorporation too!

As some people mentioned, it was too dark sometimes and it was hard to spot all the enemies (especially the small shooting ones) but it wasn't such a big deal.

Deep Cover by Silas Reinagel 2021-04-30T16:24:22Z

Easy 5/5 for me, I want it to be a whole big game, please! I like the main character and the idea of keeping the story consistent, a great idea and even better execution. Music and art style were also superb, it took me a few tries to get it all right but I managed to beat the game :D

The Fall of Alice by kr4ft3r 2021-04-30T17:33:36Z

Interesting, deep entry about culture, society and about what is true and what is false and that it'd be always be subjective. Probably not a game for everyone but if you're interested in receiving an unique experience then it's worth of checking out. I enjoyed the theme incorporation, sounds and graphics, as well as the usage of Alice in Wonderland text. Beutiful, unique entry. The mood was magnificent, well done!

AeroCat by W0oly 2021-05-07T14:20:28Z

What a beautiful entry! I love the art, the music and the general atmosphere of the game. Amazing game, great job!!

Going Down by omer1615 2021-04-27T12:07:55Z

Really cool! It was really original, I love when game themes are not taken literally but rather explored a little. One of the more unique ones I played so far!

Disco Inferno by Simon Rahnasto 2021-04-30T16:45:36Z

(devil's voice) I'M AWESOME.

11/10 I hope it'll be top 10 of the Ludum Dare 48 games!

Roses are Deep by Shell Pirate 2021-04-29T21:09:00Z

As I was scrolling through games (or my feed, don't remember) I saw that your game was "kinda similar" to ours as it utilizes the use of words and "deep words" as the theme interpreatation, so I had to check it out! And I wasn't disappointed :3 It was really cool experience, I wish there was more levels to play and relax. I love the picking words mechanics and then creating a poem out of them (Roses are overwhelming, definitely a deep line of mine). I found it so adorable that I rated it 5/5 but I acknowledge it's unfinished and such. I just really liked it, it's so rare to see narrative-based games on jams. Great work!

A Quest for Cheese by Sibi 2021-05-07T13:41:55Z

"Thank you aliens but your cheese is on another planet" xD It was super fun, I loved the music on different planets especially! Great work!

Deeper Understanding by detectiveLosos 2021-05-07T15:16:27Z

Wow, amazing! I explored a lot to discover all available content, so cool! Really moody, surreal and has a big re-play value already. If you want to turn it into a full game, I'd love to play! 5/5 :star:

ChaO.S. by Nanda 2021-05-07T14:52:56Z

The idea reminded me of our own game from a year past, Hype Dream which also was a old OS simulation in some parts but in more Instagram-like, pastel palette so when I saw your game I had to play a "dark and creepy" version of this concept :D And I'm glad I did so! Excellent, one of the best entries I played so far! Thank you for this amazing experience.

Down the Machine World by Sempiternal 2021-04-28T13:09:37Z

Amazing game!I liked the graphics and the gameplay the most, if was fun and challenging to "figure out" each level. As some people mentioned, a menu would be useful but honestly I didn't think about itbefore I read other comments lol. Great entry!

Just Defuse the Bomb!! by AndrewDavidJ 2021-04-28T13:23:07Z

Oh my, I know it's unpolished and such but I couldn't keep myself from rating it super high as I really like the concept. It took me a while to figure it out but it was... a satysfying process, kinda part of the whole game experience. Unpolished games are always kinda mysterious and here that mystery fits the whole game really well. It reminds me of those - I don't remember the name but I belive it was "Unknown Developer" series of games - viral games that plenty of people wanted to figure out and each person discovered a differed thing. It really gives me a vibe of those, they also didn't have an escape button and such so even if you didn't aimed for that, that's how I felt playing. It could be more polished, of course, but I'd personally push it towards that mysterious part rather than expaining everything right away. Anyways, great work!

The Deepest Thoughts by Aaronacus 2021-04-27T15:33:38Z

Oh, another game-experience, like ours! Really good one, it was sad and you the atmosphere was on point with music and graphic design. Amazing experience!

Deep Sea Phishing by Literal Games 2021-04-28T00:15:30Z

Dear god that's one of my favourites for sure! I love the story, gamepelay and graphic, ti's really immersive, fun and super polished (and it's visible it was playtested a lot, like with this "use your keyboard!" part with the firewall). I loved the hacking a lot and the ending was amazing. Also my PC crashed right after I finished the first hacking. I had mini heart attack that thr game is SO IMMERSIVE that Id does stuff like that xD

Aqua Mine by kypello 2021-04-27T16:18:10Z

Omg! So amazing! I was a bit skeptical at first as there is plenty of games about submarines and stuff so I was "eeeh, another submarine gameee" at first but holy crap! it's hilarious, creative and well-done overall. It took me a few playthroughs to get some nice results and the record bar in the menu is really useful. I love the description too btw xD

Deep Sea Mining by Ausstein 2021-05-07T13:27:58Z

Wow, it's a really cool game! I like the challenge level especially and it's definitely a game that could be continued after the jam into something bigger and fuller. Amazing entry!!

Tall Tales by Octopoid 2021-05-07T13:58:14Z

Amazing entry, so much content for just 72 hours, great job! However, as some people mentioned, the game was't working for me on my PC and I used my laptop instead (which worked perfectly fine). I see that you struggle with that issue a lot, sadly cannot help :/ But at least it worked on my laptop. Anyways, I love the sense of humour in the game, the music was nice anf fitting and it was overally very enjoyable. Despite the technical issue I went with 5/5 ^^

Deep_demo by Lighty_the_Light 2021-04-29T21:49:56Z

I'm a simple man: I see black-white pixels and Lovecraft, I play. I love the idea and the gameplay, as many people mentioned, some sound would be even better but it's a great entry nonetheless! I liked the lore and the creativity of the game and writing. Cool!

PS I had the same boxer issue when I spawned outside the game area and were slowly falling down (deeper and deeper, hehe).

Deep Dive Drive 2000 by Dane Tesla 2021-04-27T12:18:04Z

@hujowlazow @yaromir @not-the-loading-screen @ethanthopkins thank you all for playing and enjoyuing our game!

@zackavelli Hi!, thank you so far for playing and for your feedback! Honestly the interactions were deliberately made not to be teribly engaging so player's mind can wander during playing the game. (We were thinking about making everything quicker and more challenging but after that the game wasn't an experience we wanted to create). Maybe the game would remind someone of something and they'll leave, mid-travel, just to return and start over? Or they'll go deep into their own mind and forget about the actual game, listening to the meditation experience on the radio? However, a mode that is more challenging and engaging could be a nice add-on, we'll see what we can do!

@cslupius thank you for playing! The sentences are an excuse for your own ideas and thoughts! You can leave them blank if you're not happy with the words provided (you can also re-roll a word by clicking on it with a RMB - once per 3 questions). For not replying it is only -1 heart and there is plenty of other ways to get them back. However, if there will be enough bugs and features to add for a patch, we'll happily add some more words. If you have any word suggestions, please do share them :3

Deep Dive Drive 2000 by Dane Tesla 2021-04-28T14:01:14Z

@ade haha thank you!

@scintillae-creations thank you and glad you enjoyed our little game! hmm I noticed that some of the people struggle with the reply time so in an update we'll definitely make it a bit longer. The radio program of LOR Radio was recorded almost exactly 3 hours before end, glad you found it relatable xD

@felixmreeve @sempiternal @naamed @kypello @andrewdavidj @adrien-dittrick thank you all for playing and enjoying our game! :heartbeat: I wish you to stay safe during your roads journeys (and preferably do not drive in the middle of the road like uncle Fred)

@threaded-lama-digital thank you for playing and glad you like the experience! 3d art of the heart is a good combo, one of the best I heard so far :ok_hand:

@batuoz thank you for playing and glad you liked it! As for the title, we were like "Hmm, something live Dive, Dreep, Drive shou;d fit" and as we weren't able to decide on just one, well, we named the game Deep Dive Drive xD

Deep Dive Drive 2000 by Dane Tesla 2021-04-29T20:56:31Z

@chambre19 thank you! haha, we'd send it to Vinny if we had a chance of picking his interest with it xD

@bicheste thank you kindly for playing and enjoying it : D

@ancient-pixel thank you! I was the one who did the menu, so I thank you personally ^^ And glad that you noticed our (very cursed) credits xD

Deep Dive Drive 2000 by Dane Tesla 2021-04-30T17:57:38Z

@mxbi thank you for trying Deep Dive Drive out! We're planning on a collective update of reported issues, making the reply time a little longer being one of them ^^ Each "level" "game stage" has it's own set of words, the first stage has only non-abstract words like item names and such and the last stage has only abstract "deep" words like words that mean concepts such as loss, faith etc. If you want to hear detailed mechanics of it I can ask our programmer as I wasn't the one implementing it ^^'

@systemeffect Haha, I was the creator of the idea of monks emitting WiFi, I'm glad it picked your interest xD And lol, Hellcab!! During the jam I was like, "this game reminds me of some older game...but what was it..." Now I know, it was a cool and weird one indeed. Glad you enjoyed a ride with Uncle Fred and "loss is all I have" sounds actually really sad and deep.

@silas-reinagel Thank you so much for playing! As for the word pool,we're planning an update to add some more and the problem with incorporating dialogues with more blanks to put the words in was mostly engine/programming issue so we settled for two to avoid huge bugs and glitches. But if we ever wanted to make a Steam or so version of it, gradually growing dialogues (like you put one word first and then you end up with 4 or 5 blanks to fill) would be amazing idea, thank you for that!

@kr4ft3r wow, that was a deep review. Thank you so much. Some backstage knowledge, our team was super imressed by your comment in our private Discord, it really hit the core of our game, we weren't expecting anyone to delve that deep in the whole concept. But you're really right; we're happy you had some time to analyze Deep Dive Drive and that you consider it art. Thank you so much!

@variable-enigmatic Thank you and glad you like it! Uncle Fred also enjoyed a ride with you (at least I hope that he did, he's a bit... lets say, enigmatic, as you probably already know)

@simon-rahnasto Thank you so much and it's great to hear that you enjoyed a ride with Uncle Fred! WiFi emitting monks was my idea so I thank you personally, it was late at night and I was doing main menu with that monk and WiFi symbols around him when I came up with that part of LOR radio program. Thank you for the screenshot! Well, in the game you cannot see what is in the back of the car, maybe there is a fridge indeed? xD :eyes:

@langotriel thank you so much, glad you liked it! :rainbow: I was personally surprised when I created the Mixtape (the mp3 file that is in the game zip, it's all the radio stuff combined), I was like "guys, we have like 30 minutes of radio stuff...", I'm happy it was noticed ^^

Deep Dive Drive 2000 by Dane Tesla 2021-05-07T14:13:29Z

@dandeleon Thank you for playing and glad you enjoyed it! The colors of dialogues are explained in the last slide of the tutorial but we noticed some people skip the tutorial/do not pay a lot of attention to it as it's a game-experence and does not have complex mechanics, I tihnk maybe the Uncle could remind about it from time to time during the game. Happy to hear that you got it right later on your own! Incorporating dialogues with more/less blanks to put the words in was mostly engine/programming issue so we settled for two to avoid huge bugs and glitches that we encountered. And wow, a time-based score would be an amazing idea, thank you for that! If we ever make a "proper" game using this concept, we would definitely listen to most, if not all, your suggestions. (big oof for dad indeed)

@tigermouse thank you! the slowness was a design idea so the player could listen to radio and/or think about some of the "deep" concepts but indeed there could be some more stuff to play with in the full game (like, maybe browsing something on the phone, sending sms etc.)

@trexxak Thank you for playing and we're happy that you enjoyed it! oh my, the line you got is really deep (and a bittle bit depressing too, if you ask me)

@chuchugeralt thank you so much! We firstly wanted to make the dialogues more logic-based but it was just a little too big of a challenge for both the engine and only one programmer we had. Last ludum Dare we had a lot of bugs in the game, some of them softlocking, so we decided to settle for something less complex ^^ But it would be great to have a little of logic and sense behind the answers (also like, imagine that you ask Uncle if you can connect a cat to the WiFi and after you say that there is suddenly a cat in the car. Would be a nice touch in a "full version")

@ausstein thank you so much for playing our game and we're happy that you enjoyed it! Also liked and subscribed! And indeed it's a game-experience! Also big thumbs up for you for reading the WHOLE tutorial, it was really nice that you analyzed it all before playing ^^

Deep Dive Drive 2000 by Dane Tesla 2021-05-09T13:41:00Z

@duck-reaction thank you for playing and for the feedback! there is no word recognition, it's just color-based recognition, as a logic and word-understanding system was simply too complex for one programmer to create succesfully and bug-free. Also the idea was to create weird, out-of-place dialogues and if uncle had some logic to that, there won't be any "connetect the fridge to the WiFi" texts xD But as I mentioned before, that's totally a thing we're gonna do in a full game, same with mobile game and Uncle getting angry if you spam buttons. Also, with word recognition, imagine saying "I need to connect my cat to the car" and suddenly a cat appears nearby in the car. Sounds cool to me : D Thank you so much for this valuable feedback!

@ddrkirbyisq Thank you for playing and glad you enjoyed it! Oh, about the sfx - we noticed this issue right before the jam end and the format they were in was not fixable in the engine so we started to extract the files, change the format, make them less loud and put them back in the engine. But we didn't have time for all of them >.< Thank you for noticing the spelling mistake, all I can say I was tired when I wrote these.

@1minatur @link270 thank you for playing any reviewing :D glad you enjoyed a ride with Uncle Fred.

@annie-owl We're glad you played and enjoyed our game! Hhaa, PRDZWA FM was our programmer station, he's very happy that you liked it xD

What do cats dream of ? by Duck Reaction 2021-05-07T14:47:04Z

Omg I love this game! So many cats, amazing mood and the smashing animation was the coolest! Great work!

Deep Survivors Guilt by Krebzor 2021-05-07T14:24:41Z

Super cool game, I love the graphics! Really intriguing narrative and fascinating plot twist. Great job, keep up the good work!

Contract Digger by Scintillae_Creations 2021-04-27T23:58:24Z

So cool! I like the mechanics and the suitable graphics. Great work! It was really fun game.

Oh and the important development part. I descovered that if I just stand near the contract giver and press "E" - "accept contract" "deliver contract" the game accepts my contract even if I did zero mining.

Pescuit Pe Plajă by Trexxak 2021-05-07T13:49:51Z

Awww what a cute little game, I love it! The idea is really unique and all the treasure is fascinating (Your last jam game XDD got me). Cool entry!

Spellunker by Naamed 2021-04-27T14:54:32Z

Very polished product witch a huge re-play value. I especially love that fact that you can try over and over again and the crystal/ingredient collection does not disappear so I don't have to worry about getting everything in one run. Congratulations for the whole team! An amazing game, especially if it is your first.

Goblin Heist by Halberd 2021-04-30T15:55:14Z

Great entry! I like how clearly it was explained how to play and it wasfun to figure all puzzles out during playing. Leaderboard is a good idea as well! Really polished, really cool, I may try it again to get to the leaderboard so it has a huge re-play value for me :D Keep up the good work!

Just Photo Cat by RenatoL 2021-05-07T15:42:32Z

One of my friends taht we work with during game jams always wanted to make a Photography-related game for a Game Jam but we were always lacking resources to do so. And here it is, a Photo Cat, a game we wanted to make but never were able to! :3 It's amazing, I love the concept and the animals, the photo mechanics and choosing glasses and hats was a nice addition as well. 5/5 for me :star:

My Escape Pod by batuOZ 2021-04-27T17:28:19Z

Awww! It was so cute and the main menu was probs the best main manu I've experienced during the jam. The Pod design is adorable and the gameplay is cool, not too complex so it was relaxing but also a little challenging with figuring out how to use the crates. It's 5/5 for me honestly, Id' add some (even just royality free) music and sounds to make it even more cute and fun to play.

The Deepest Mission by Not The Loading Screen 2021-04-27T11:46:17Z

It is really cool! I like the simple mechanics and otherwordly sounds. I also enjoyed the 3D environment.

The Plummet by cakts 2021-04-27T17:12:32Z

The level of polish is crazy, I love it! It's a bit hard tho but I think it was a planned effect. Great job!!

OVERDRILLED by everedx 2021-04-29T20:31:37Z

Amazing entry! I love the graphic, catchy music and the frantic mechanics. 5/5 for me. As many people mentioned, it's really difficult but who doesn't love a little challenge? I'll try to beat it later, not sure if I'd succeed tho xD

A Taste of the Past by Emily Pitcher 2021-04-29T21:40:12Z

I saw that game in my feed and had to play it after it was done. And what can I say? I almost cried (uuh, so easy to cry those days, hear me) due to the emotional value of the game and, to move to easier topic, I wanted to metaphorically cry over the beutiful graphic! Amazing entry, one of the best best best this jam, 6/5 would play more of this kind of games.

Titan Spear by Zackavelli 2021-04-27T12:05:32Z

Really cool! I liked "playing" the sounds and the fact that it was getting faster and faster. Took me more than a few trieÅ› to master :D Great work!

Stock: A Tale from The Pages by MAB_Cat 2021-04-27T16:39:09Z

Such a great game! I like the narration and the music the most. A solid entry! I played two times to get two ending out of it, sadly no secret encouter for me. What is it, if I may ask? I'm kinda curious.

Stock: A Tale from The Pages by MAB_Cat 2021-04-27T17:42:17Z

@mab-cat Ooh! Sounds nice for a secret. I'll check your channel!

And I got the "bad" one (destroyer or so when you kill the tree) and the one that reveals the true story (1st ending I suppose? "see the truth")

Dig It Out by Threaded Lama Digital 2021-04-28T13:44:28Z

Firstly, don't worry about Game Maker, it be like that sometimes xD That engine does all the wonky stuff. No one would disqualify your game because Gm decided it's a few hours before the jam. It just happens. Now to the actual game. It was awesome! I love the graphics, music and sounds (my fav was no the waaah but the ohohohoho of the picnic people btw). The jump at the end of the day was satysfying. Some people mentioned that the gameplay was repetitive etc but my interpretation of it was that during playing it's not about crazy mechanics but about realizing something about the debt and then just stopping when you feel like it. That's why I rated it high ^^ Good one!

Little Mother by Save Sloth Studios 2021-04-29T22:02:46Z

I...wasn't expecting this. This was AMAZING. Hope it'll get a top 10 Ludum Dare 48 games. The music is soooo goood, congrats to the creator. Does they have a website/soundcloud/any other media when I can listen to it outside a game (and hopefully to their other works as well?) The art and mood was spot on, everything worked so well together, I played two times just to experience it all again (and have the second ending as well). 11/10, this game just hits differently and I love it.

Little Mother by Save Sloth Studios 2021-04-30T15:37:43Z

@save-sloth-studios thank you so much! I bought myself the OST on Bandcamp as I use it often. Thank you!

Third Dimension by JuliusCube Arcade 2021-04-29T21:15:13Z

Oh my, I remember that I promised to play and rate your game two days ago and I forgot, I'm so sorry! But I'm taking care of it now :3

The idea is super unique and the mechanics are really original! It also has bigger potential I think, it'd be easy to create a "full" sellabel game around this concept. Amazing entry overall.

In Too Deep by diharaw94 2021-04-27T16:56:44Z

Super cool game! Also the voice acting was amazing, it's a rare isght in jam games. As some people mentioned, there could be something to adjust muse sensivity but with sprint available it wasn't that much of a problem. Amazing atmosphere. Great work!

LUNA IN THE SKY WITH DIAMONDS (FESTA ESTRANHA COM GENTE ESQUISITA ) by zagoiris 2021-04-27T15:54:33Z

As our game is kinda trippy as well, I wanted to play your to experience a different style of "trippy" and it was so cool! As many people mentioned, some tutorial and a health bar would be usefull but I had fun nonetheless! Really cool game :D The music was also great

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-05-07T15:59:00Z

Wow, wasn't expecting such a deep subject and such a polished product, I was positively surprised. The story was immersive, the locations well-designed and the whole experience left me thinking, which is very good. I like the incorporation of giant teddy bears and shillouettes in the background, it really made me feel like a small kid in a big, harsh world. The music was pleasing and I really liked the part with putting "mom" to jail which looked a bit like baby cradle. Really well-thought game design. Congratulations on 5/5 stars game, no wonder so many people rated and commented : D Also - yay 100th rating : D

Shooting In Deep Forrest by Yaromir 2021-04-27T11:39:13Z

Great game! Wow, it was challenging! I really enjoyed the mechanics forcing me to venture deeper and deeper. It got really hard later though so if there is an ending, I wasn't able to get there ^^"

Lonely Sound by Ethanthopkins 2021-04-27T11:57:47Z

So cool that it was based on a real event! I really liked the atmosphere getting more dense with each moment. As some people mentioned, the sound is a bit irritating after some time, maybe a "sound off/sound on button would help?

Mind Pit by Jordan Dube 2021-04-27T15:03:07Z

Yay, another game that has unique interpretation of the theme! It was a nice experience, the mechanics were fun and engaging. As some people mentioned, a score meter would be useful but it was a great experience nonetheless. Great job!
