LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

One Button Hero by Taldius 2017-12-06T11:59:16Z

The mechanics are really great, super clever! I feel like the movement is working against the game the most. Its really floaty and frictionless making it a bigger challenge than using the skills correctly! But other than that, solid stuff!

Hellmazon by StabAlarash 2017-12-05T11:40:04Z

Great idea! Very difficult, but I like the mechanic of having to try and turn the packages around to see the number! Keep working on it!

Daily Debug Dash by Elemental Zeal Game Studios 2017-12-07T11:51:35Z

Hey, fun idea for a game! There were some clunkyness in the editing of code, I would have liked to be able to swap out code blocks by dropping them on each other. Keep up the good work!

SUPER COP HERO by Finlal 2017-12-05T12:10:26Z

This is awesome! Also, really really difficult, haha! I like the take on the theme with the fan-crowd, but currently it seems like the least of your issues since you die from one hit! The graphics and music is great, really sets the mood! Great job!

Diet Time by GerardB 2017-12-06T11:51:10Z

This is great! Very intense, I tried keeping clean and throwing junk away at first, but I quickly gave that up!

Western Hero by Guilb 2017-12-07T11:57:33Z

Great art! I especially like the coffin detail when killing enemies! I wish the movement wasn't so frictionless, it takes a while to accelerate and decelerate. Good work!

Soul Matter by Nehvis 2017-12-06T11:47:11Z

Hey, I really liked the atmosphere! Almost a bit creepy! Thanks!

ESCAPE KEY by Empyrean 2017-12-07T12:02:20Z

This is really great! it gets tricky fast, but fun gameplay! hurts my head thinking about the keyboard that way :D

Annoying Dogs by Grahamliphts 2017-12-05T11:57:08Z

I like the idea, really captures the theme :) There was a lot going on, hard to see what was happening at times, and maybe some music would really get you in the mood!

Nested Dungeon by ithasgrass 2017-12-05T11:47:37Z

Really nice game! Great take on the theme! I also ruined the first two weapons before getting to the level, but that's easily solved :) I think the biggest issue I had was the floaty movement, it feels a bit off, and it was easy to get stuck in walls, I'd continue to tweak it to make the game even better!

LD45 — Start with nothing

Ping Pong by Iak 2019-10-10T20:07:25Z

This is a funny idea! I think I had a weird bug at the end, where my jump height felt frame-rate dependent, played on a pretty weak laptop, and I could barely jump up to the first ledge after getting out. Enjoyed the little escape attempt either way, but would have liked to see the end :)

Alin by zimennik 2019-10-09T10:57:34Z

I like the idea of combining elements into different actions, but I couldn't really see a large connection between some of the elements and the action they represented (like water for jump or earth for pushing a button).

Maybe I was just playing the tutorial, but I would have liked to have to solve some of the puzzles on my own instead of being told the correct answer.

I got very nauseous from the camera panning motion as well, so I had to stop playing. I think you have to be careful with that type of movement of the camera, or give the player the option to turn it off (maybe you did, didn't see one).

I like the icons for the elements in the UI, they're very pretty!

The Dolphin of Sooth by elHombreBanana 2019-10-10T19:16:43Z

Cool game, felt really complete for a jam game! As previously mentioned it was a bit tedious with the backtracking, but running would probably help (I played the Jam version). I was thinking that you could've used the eraser somehow? At least I didn't find anything to use it on, but I wanted to use if to remove rocks from the maze to create a shortcut

Music and art is great, really top work!

There were 8 hours left and I decided I wanted to participate after all by Corny 2019-10-12T15:04:04Z

I really like the style and feeling in this game, animations are lovely! Great job for just 8 hours!

Baby steps by freso 2019-10-12T15:40:09Z

Was not expecting what those spiders did to poor Billy! Also, the spiders really took over if you overstayed your welcome!

I didn't see the exit at first, so I kept walking around the stage looking for more things, but I guess I should have been more observant.

Liked the art and audio, good job!

Once upon a chip by Wakobu 2019-10-10T20:15:28Z

Hey, I liked the animation of the main character, and the charge jump movement is interesting!

I think the camera was a bit too zoomed in, would have liked to see just a bit more of my environments. Also would have liked some checkpoints to avoid having to push the bottle at the start over and over.

Grab your katana! by Mikeliosus 2019-10-13T14:19:07Z

Good job on your first compo, must be a good feeling, I've yet to try it myself!

I think you should've leaned even more into the __*grab your katana*__ concept, and made it a throwing weapon that you have to pick up after every attack. That would make the flow of the gameplay completely different, you would have to line-up enemies in a row to take them down at the same time, instead of just attacking constantly. Something to consider at least!

ØJE by Gaming Night 2019-10-12T15:53:53Z

This was really cool! The color twist was super unexpected for me, and a really clever way of using your game space to your advantage! The art and audio is also really great.

I would have liked the save points to be a bit more visible, and I'm not sure what I think about the fact that you have to gather the coins again if you die before saving. It still works, but I think I would have liked the save points to only act as respawn points, and all coins collected are always kept, it might help the flow.

My other grievence is the character controls, it's just on the slippery side to feel frustrating for a game with precision platforming.

I still had a great time, didn't 100% it, but I bet that would be a fun experience! Great job on the submission!

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-08T11:02:53Z

@los, @raomer, @adrupen, thanks for playing, glad you liked it! Keep at that High Score!

@kodiqi, thanks for your comment, we wanted to avoid making it __*too*__ similar to the original, so we focused more on a faster gameplay from the start, but I'm sure there are many variables to tweak to make it more interesting

@nikadra, Thanks for your extensive feedback, glad you enjoyed the game for the most part!

We didn't really have the time to work on our own music for this Jam (hence opting out of that category), but we'll give some thought into what mood we're trying to convey with the music for next time, it's a good point! We think the music has a good __*cave-like*__ feeling, but perhaps it's clashing a bit with the overall mood of the graphics like you say.

> __*The only thing I’m left wondering is whether or not you decided to followed the theme, and in that case what your thoughts were about how it was represented, because I wasn’t quite able to tell*__.

We had quite a hard time with the theme originally, trying to come up with a solid idea was very difficult! In the end, our main interpretation is the darkness before starting the run playing on the _nothing_ part of the theme, and the fact that it resets to the original state if you don't keep flapping. Hope that makes sense to you, but perhaps we could have been more clear in conveying the theme

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-08T11:05:33Z

@namnam, thanks for playing!

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-10T08:03:12Z

@zhorky, @corny, thanks for playing, while the game takes a lot of inspiration from flappy bird, we also looked to [Canabalt](http://canabalt.com/) for reference, to get a different feel from flappy bird, especially with the speed. We feel that the echolocation twist puts it apart from its inspirations enough, and with more time we would have loved to explore more ways to make the gameplay truly unique.

@jutjuan, @elhombrebanana, @superunknown, @ajahks, @stefanie-leitch, thanks for playing and for your kind words!

@firtage > __*i would delete the blackscreen after the highscore.*__

I think you're right, that would probably make the general flow of the game, at least for successive runs after the initial one, a bit smoother. Thanks for playing and for your feedback!

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-10T15:17:52Z

@baski, thanks for playing, that's a good score!

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-11T11:03:45Z

@selkkie, thank you for playing! I agree that there are probably ways we could tie the echolocation even more to the difficulty of the game, we had some ideas about obstacles that would be activated by sound, so you would have to wait until you passed them, but we never got that far! Glad you liked it overall, and thanks for the feedback!

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-13T17:15:59Z

@asue @mikeliosus, thanks for playing, glad it was enjoyable! Feedback about the music has been noted, thanks!

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-13T18:17:28Z

@roka-josh, thanks for the kind words! Funnily enough, the web-build is perfectly playable in a phone browser, because of the simple controls

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-13T18:21:12Z

@tort60091, thank you so much! Glad you liked it!

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-15T10:59:33Z

Thanks @jam373 !

Flappy Bat by Druvsaft 2019-10-19T09:11:23Z

Thanks for playing @dane-tesla, glad you liked it despite not being something you'd usually play!

The Firebrand by selkkie 2019-10-10T11:01:47Z

This is lovely! Really nailed the mood of the whole scene, so simple but well made, and the result is really powerful! Really great job all around!

I didn't finish it at the moment, can hopefully come back later, because I'm very intrigued and want to find out what it all is about!

My only grievance would be the interaction with the notepad, at times I thought it was a bit frustrating to navigate, mostly due to the response time, I would like it to feel snappier to bring up and interact with. But that's very minor nitpicking

Thanks for a great submission!

Snowball by blotosaur 2019-10-10T19:27:26Z

I like the idea you got here, the snowball eating everything up along the way is definitely intriguing!

At the moment I feel it's a bit too punishing, you get stuck on a tree and you just have to restart. It's a bit too slow in the beginning for that, and sometimes the ground pushes you into the air just when you need to jump, so there's some elements of frustration there.

Maybe checkpoints along the way could have helped a bit, or implementing some kind of [*Coyote Time*](https://twitter.com/slaktus/status/711919549218689025) for the jump, so the controls feel a bit tighter.

...Not Even a Body!? by snesgaard 2019-10-13T17:23:05Z

Very cool concept! The orange walls kind of feels a bit like portal, where you can't move cubes through the energy fields. Very clever! Missing some audio and music to really sell the mood, but the art is lovely :)

Ideal Date by d954mas 2019-10-13T14:10:17Z

This is a nicely simple but fun game, good job on the submission!

I would change it so that the first choice isn't visible until you start the timer, as you can basically cheat the first selection. Maybe an evolution would be that you have to place the parts yourself as well, to add another dimension to the gameplay!

ColorBound by Youkool 2019-10-13T17:38:26Z

This is a very solid game, feels super polished! Character control feels really good (although the mapping was a bit weird on a PS4 control, but at least it worked!)

I really liked the evolving game space that changed as you found more skills, it made you feel powerful without taking away the challenge!

I almost forgot the obstacle at the very start, so when I had the correct skill I was really confused at first. I think for something that you're meant to remember for a long time while playing, it could have been more memorable, but it wasn't too much of an issue.

Since the enemies respawned very quickly as you left their area, it was easy to farm coins at the end, so maybe something could be changed so that they don't drop coins that often, or respawn takes longer.

One other thing I loved was the evolving sound scape (unless I tricked my own mind?) as you picked up more skills!

Great submission overall, one of my favorites!

Chicken Nothing by sillyman987 2019-10-08T10:52:03Z

I liked the walking animation, a bit goofy but cute!

I think it's a good base concept, though at the moment there is no real challenge to the game as far as I could tell. You keep buying more chickens to up your income, and then you have to buy new Coops to house more chickens.

Just thinking out loud here, maybe there could be a mechanic where chickens run away, so you lose that income if you're not careful? Or you can crush eggs if you step on them, so you have to manage your movement a bit more. Probably many simple ideas to make the gameplay a bit more interesting in the long run!

Keep up the good work!

バクラウBloodless by Danilo Freire 2019-10-12T15:29:01Z

This is a really cool game! Great presentation, and a system that is easy to pick up, hard to master.

At first I thought the timing and/or hitbox of the enemy sword and your parry was a bit off, it felt really tricky to get it right. After a while it got better, as you learned how to work with it, but I never really lost that feeling that something was off, like I didn't know exactly where on the enemy to aim, or at which point in time to dash for a successful parry.

The collision of the environment was a bit too large compared to the art, so there were many places where I wanted to/felt like I could walk, but instead got stuck and cornered by the enemies. It wasn't too bad since you could stay in the bigger areas instead, but something to keep in mind.

The red sword twist was really cool, and with some more time I'm sure you could have added even more variety on the enemy styles, there's a lot of potential!

All in all I really enjoyed it, so I hope you take my feedback for what it is, really good job on the submission!

Little one by Asue 2019-10-10T19:45:18Z

A nice little concept and overall pleasant game, maybe there could have been different enemies to create some variety in the interactions? Some that are large and slow, and some that are smaller and faster? Or maybe environmental dangers that you have to avoid! I think there's potential for exploration!

Desert by Pedroso 2019-10-13T14:28:51Z

Definitely a different feeling from a lot of the other submissions, stands out from the crowd! Liked the atmosphere, aesthetic of the graphs and the soundscape, really sets the mood.

I understand how it relates to the theme, but I don't think it really benefits from it. At least the theme isn't the interesting part of the game, if you understand what I mean. But maybe I'm overthinking it :)

Good job on the submission!

Mindmaze by sigod 2019-10-13T18:00:15Z

I really like the core concept of this, the art-style and the light revealing mechanic is really cool.

I really want to like it all the way through, but at some point it becomes too similar, just harder, for me. I would have really liked to see the challenge evolve over the course of the game, instead of just making the mazes larger and larger without adding anything else.

This has a lot of potential, so please keep up the good work!

Neon Sunset by tobb 2019-10-13T14:04:27Z

As others, I really like the aesthetic and the style of the graphics, and the audioscape helps sell the 80's fantasy.

The gunplay is pretty okay, but there's never any real feel of agency in the gameplay, you just rush across the room, mowing down enemies while hoping they don't mow you down first. There's no interesting way to avoid taking damage aside from kiting the enemies around corners, so maybe a cover system or something to differentiate from other shooters would have been helpful. Leaning into the theme more might have helped, making your punch ability something beyond just a tool to get a weapon.

I like that there are different weapon types, wished there were more variety in enemies as well.

Monolith by Kalucifer 2019-10-12T15:10:52Z

I like the art and animation, unfortunately the camera following is pretty jarring, and I think it should center on your character more and not move so fast. Not sure if the game crashed or if I finished it.

Day Zero by Emma B 2019-10-08T10:42:56Z

Really cool project, and great use of the theme! Had a lot of __*wow moments*__ when performing an action and there actually being a reaction to it.

Audio-scape is really simple but feels very fitting for the game, though I think a calm and simple music loop could have added to the ambience!

The interactions are really smooth and easy to understand, the only issue I had was that the smaller pieces were difficult to drag sometimes, you almost had to click outside of them. Perhaps a preview when hovering objects to drag would have helped offset that!

All in all, great work!

Memoirs Found in a by Dane Tesla 2019-10-13T14:47:07Z

Very promising game, I like the light and dark concept. I'm not so sure about the "light an object to interact", it feelt a bit unforgiving at times. Maybe it could lean more into revealing objects with your light, but once you see them you can interact with them with a prompt?

The art style is really great and unified, missing some more audio to tie the mood together. As others mentioned, the bugs with the notepad are unfortunate, but it is a jam after all :)

Stray by NikolaiM 2019-10-10T19:36:16Z

I didn't expect to see a text adventure game from the jam, interesting angle to start from

I like the general flow of the game, it gets a sort of bartering and trading feel, but unfortunately most of the trading feels random, and since you can see the available options before you get the necessary item, you don't really have to remember anything besides the room where you saw the item prompt.

I think you should lean more into the characters, driving the player with their needs, and let the player figure out how to get the items they need to progress.

Learning the Human by Savvy Community 2019-10-09T10:47:06Z

Clever little idea, though I had a hard time following the logic of interactions! Felt a bit like rock-paper-scissors but you had no idea what the rules were, so in the end I just went back and forth between the characters and tried everything, so I think the general game flow could be improved a bit!

Art is lovely, really like the style, and the sounds were funny! Missing some kind of ambient music to raise the mood

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

ROAD TXTR by congusbongus 2022-10-07T14:07:01Z

That's a lot of fun, and difficult! just like real life! Good social commentary, don't text and drive folks! Even when the stakes are this low it's very panicky not being able to see the road, so this would be a good reminder to some!

Trash Planet by SleepyStudios 2022-10-15T14:54:34Z

The core loop could become quite interesting with more polish, I think at the moment the design of the levels don't feel great, mostly you're just waiting for the world to rotate so you physically can get to the exit, but there's no real puzzle in there. Ideally there should be an optimal path in each level, where all the various elements are incorporated, like the teleporters and the jump pads, but they don't feel like they have a big role to play in these levels.

Also encountered the crash in the web build on the 3rd or 4th level.

Little Scout 2 by Tex Killer 2022-10-07T13:46:01Z

A clever little (and big) concept, and very cool to be using a custom engine! Managed to explore most of the level I think, had a weird bug one session where the character was stuck as small, but fixed by restarting. Would be nice to see more levels!

bot.copy() by Druvsaft 2022-10-04T07:09:14Z

@triangle-point, thank you for playing! We apologize that you had performance issues, we never noticed any when developing, but we might need to profile it!

bot.copy() by Druvsaft 2022-10-05T08:40:12Z

@fractal-flower-girl, thank you! We do agree that the graphics are a bit lacking, this was our first time working with 3D in Godot, and programming the core loop and features took a bit longer than expected perhaps. We're glad you liked it despite this!

As mentioned in the description the music and sound was not made by us unfortunately, but it's good that it felt like a good fit.

@matt-ravenhall, thanks for playing, glad you like the idea!

bot.copy() by Druvsaft 2022-10-07T13:49:34Z

@yoni, thanks for playing, we're glad you enjoyed the concept once it clicked! I've seen some other takes on the same programmable actions side of things, but they all seem very unique, fun to see that others had the same core idea but took it in a different direction!

We would love to have made more levels introducing more challenges and concepts, but in the end we ran out of time and had to polish up what was there!

bot.copy() by Druvsaft 2022-10-07T13:51:56Z

@schadocalex, thank you for your playthrough and comment! I would agree that there could be more complex and interesting levels, we wanted to make sure we nailed the core concept first, but ran out of time to flesh out more challenges and so. A level editor would be a fun post jam project, you never know!

The exploding bot was more of a safety feature in order to ensure the player wouldn't get stuck if the bot couldn't move anywhere, the easiest way to trigger it was to not move at all, but there were other cases that could happen, so we decided to add this feature. If you didn't need it just means you were great at solving the puzzles

Thanks again!

bot.copy() by Druvsaft 2022-10-07T13:54:38Z

@simono, thanks for playing! It's entirely possible you encountered a bug that made the bot move weirdly, we had quite a few moments throughout development where the input of the player didn't translate 100% when copied, so while we tried to fix them all, perhaps some were left intact! Glad you enjoyed it anyway!

bot.copy() by Druvsaft 2022-10-07T13:57:06Z

@lauptimist, thank you for playing and your kind words, it means a lot! We're very happy with what we submitted in the end, but we also had so many ideas to build on the core concept! You always want to build too much in such a short time don't you

Glad you enjoyed it despite the basic artwork, hopefully we can focus more on the art side next time now that we have some more 3D experience!

@jose-bonilla, thanks for playing our game as well, glad you liked a different take on your concept! Definitely agree about the ten seconds being slow in this case, it was one of the trickiest things about the theme in my mind

The idea is that the commands the player makes only apply to the next robot created, and then it should be looping those ten commands forever, so maybe you encountered a bug in your playthrough? There's bound to be a lot of issues we missed before submitting for sure!

@tex-killer, thanks for playing! We did have some discussions about the best way to handle player input, even at one point considering letting you move freely during the full ten seconds and record as many actions as you'd like, but in the end we opted for this approach, as it felt easy enough to implement and also should appear somewhat logical to the player. I do take your point about charging the move though, your suggestion of a movement cooldown instead might have worked well!

The party room was our favourite as well, glad you liked it! Thanks for your feedback!

@substain, thanks for playing, we're glad you enjoyed the short experience that we managed to put out before the deadline! @alexsolonnikovp4, thank you for playing, glad you liked the core concept! We did try to keep the scope down due to our team size, so it felt manageable for the most time, but there was a lot of features we didn't have time to explore in the end. Perhaps next time we will be able to build smarter so we have more time to make content!

@grizwhirl, thank you for playing and glad you enjoyed it! We do actually have a pause menu that you can access by pressing Escape or Start on a controller. It has restart and level select buttons, but it's only explained in the description here on the submission page, so it's not really exposed well to you as a user. We should definitely get better at creating tutorials and such for our jam games!

@justmars, thank you for playing, glad you enjoyed the mechanics after it clicked! We agree that we should ideally tweak the start of the level, we had some discussions of changing it so that the timer would only start once you took the first move, but in the end we ran out of time to add that. It's also the first time working with Godot in 3D for us, and creating all the art using simple engine primitives was the fastest way we could think of!

Thanks for your feedback!

Dice Against Time by Rowdy3 2022-10-14T14:57:46Z

I don't want to call you daddy :(

This game has a lot of potential I think! The art and UI is really great, the music is nice, and the core concept is fun! Unfortunately I found it quite tricky in the beginning to be able to process. Maybe I was choosing the wrong helps from Father Time, but a lot of the challenges I just found myself not being able to complete any of the solutions with no way to reroll or anything, so there were a lot of just passing.

I could maybe see this working better as a sort of Yahtzee game, where you can always re-roll dice and choose which ones to keep? In my mind it's frustrating coming to a new screen and having no viable option, so maybe having at least one action you can always take, even if it doesn't lead to anything, would lessen that.

Overall really nice job though, was fun!

Blink by JUSTCAMH 2022-10-15T15:34:01Z

Wow, yea, this was great. Got lost loads of times, but still knew I had to find the end, very cool concept and execution is almost flawless, very well done.

The way you tell the story with the QR codes is also ingenious, simply clever way to implement it (I imagine) somewhat easily while still standing out as unique.

To top it all off, the platforming is also great, loads of nice features to make it feel nice, and yea, just great overall. Thanks for your submission, very cool!

Ev'ry's 10 Second Adventure! by José Bonilla 2022-10-07T12:39:10Z

This was fun to play! In order to rate it fairly I played the compo version, but it sounds like you've implemented fixes for the main gripes I had with the later levels, mainly not being able to trust that the same action would play out the same every time, which is really necessary when trying to adjust your action list. But very nice submission, very impressive to have a fleshed out tutorial in such a short time, great job!

I would have liked a different input method with hotkeys for the main directions, like using WASD or Keyboard, but it's a minor thing!

Our game also explored the concept of programmable actions, but you took it in a very different direction from us, so that was fun to see!

Space Frontier by Ben Yazi 2022-10-07T12:50:48Z

The graphics are stunning, and I could see the gameplay loop working well when you understand all the different variables, but in the beginning it was kind of confusing how to build up your resources without losing them, and it was hard to follow where they went, why they were used up, so I didn't really accomplish any goal. With a proper tutorial I'm sure it would make it easier to get into! Either way, great job!

Potion Commotion by hulien22 2022-10-07T16:11:10Z

This is a cool idea! Very stressful once a lot of orders are coming in, especially trying to organize your recipes! This must be the first game where I felt like 10 seconds wasn't *enough* of time, usually it's felt very long, but not this time! Managed to make some potions, but then I got overrun! This would be a really fun co-op game, kind of overcooked but potions, how about a post-jam project? Great job!

Coronga Strike by elzeu 2022-10-07T16:37:17Z

This is a neat concept! I really like the flow of the game, going from defence to offence has this nice wave/pulse to it, there's a lot of potential! The AI feels very interesting when attacking you, kind of taking the closest route but not really. It makes it really interesting to weave in and out to avoid them

I think the main issue is that when it's your turn to attack, all the enemies scatter, and once you lose them it's really hard to find them again until it's their time to attack again. I feel like the enemies should probably have some more interesting and random movement when running away, but still staying fairly close to you, even if that doesn't make sense from a defensive point of view.

There's a lot that could be added to the game as a post-game project, like power-ups, different weapon types, a speed boost, different enemy types. Really cool game, great job overall!

Perseverance by MrSamafu 2022-10-14T15:42:27Z

I really like this concept, we had some discussions about something similar at the start, but this is a really nice implementation, and nicely integrated with the theme, quite a good story for it!

Unfortunately I wasn't able to solve the keycode puzzle, I tried what other people wrote, but it never accepted my answer, there was a red light in the end, but it didn't do anything. Bit of a shame, but enjoyed solving the other puzzles!

I think once a room is solved it should be removed from the rotation, as it is you just end up cycling through the rooms. The fact that the teleporter can be manually activated is nice, but you could also just skip it, would be nicer for the player I think.

Nice job on the game!

The Show Must Go On! 🥁 by MEGA Marlon 2022-10-14T15:24:07Z

This is very cute, love the character design and art!

I didn't really understand what you had to do as a player until the later levels (I'm not actually sure I fully understood it at the end either). The first two levels felt like they played themselves, I didn't really have to do anything. Since there were no obstacles almost it was easy just to keep walking to the beat.

Once there were more obstacles I kinda understood that you had to get your blobs out of the way when they weren't needed (I think?) and that was quite challenging, in a way trying to plan out the movement of the first few instruments to maximize your chance of being able to follow the drummer.

Overall I think it has a lot of potential, nice job!

Robotbotbot by alpharock6 2022-10-20T21:40:27Z

This is really well made! The mechanics are deceptively simple, but you've managed to make some really clever levels to really test the players planning and timing, without overloading with too much info and gameplay systems to interact with! We also had a concept where you program bots with actions, but you took it in a very different direction, and I think your puzzles are more successful! Really well done!

Foodmnesia by naplz 2022-10-07T14:20:16Z

This is a fun idea, good job everyone! That's one slippery floor, it can be a bit frustrating getting stuck on the edge of the cashier part, but it adds to the challenge! As mentioned would have been fun to see the customer you were delivering to, and sometimes it was hard to see the highlight on the ingredients when it was spinning around, but overall solid experience!

Ruins of Resurrection by MorePixels 2022-10-14T14:22:54Z

This is a nice concept, we also discussed a similar approach at the initial brainstorming phase, kind of inspired by Minit, so it was nice to see it fleshed out, very nice job!

In general I think the implementation works well, but the interaction system is a bit frustrating since there is no highlight on when you can interact with an object, and the radius seems quite restrictive. I found myself standing on top of a teleporter mashing E at several times without actually using it, having to do a small side-step to actually get in range. Having some indicator that you are close enough, and perhaps also something telling you you had successfully interacted, like a sound effect or visual cue, would have been helpful. A few times I even teleported back having pressed E one time too many, which was a bit frustrating. Maybe the teleporter should be one way only, since there's no real reason to go back.

While the main loop works very well, getting you to the end after a few time loops, it would have been nice with an additional challenge, like going for some optional treasure, risking something by doing so. As it is there aren't any huge stakes, you can try as many times as you like, so if you're planning on doing more after the jam that could be an interesting direction!

For a single person during this short time it's a very impressive game though, so very well done, thanks for you submission!

Groovy Gremlinz by XOREAXEAX 2022-10-20T21:10:15Z

Haha, this is strangely addictive! Had a nice little tune going at the end, very clever implementation!

Do it slowly by epeachyband 2022-10-14T14:45:56Z

Do it slowly is a really bad tip for how to play this game! I was kind of confused about the design of this, a lot of the levels seemed to have very distinct paths for the player to take, but in the end the clear way to do almost everything was to infinitely wall-jump your way to the button.

The physics are very slippery, making it frustrating to move around, for a game like this I think you really need to focus on getting the player controller right first, as it is at the core of the experience. Some smaller annoyances as well like starting a level facing the wrong way, not knowing why you died in a lot of cases, I assume lasers or missiles, but many times you just died facing a wall or something. Moving platforms were also quite broken, often I just slipped off instead of moving with them.

There's some potential here if you focus on making the core movement fun, good luck!

Area 51 by Bdiaztobarra 2022-10-07T16:19:37Z

Nice concept with the alarm, gets very stressful trying to find a computer when the time is ticking down! My biggest gripe was the collision on the character, it was very easy to get stuck on the environment, which didn't help when you were trying to get to a computer to survive! Overall a really good job though!

Morning Coffee Hit by chybby 2022-10-07T14:13:50Z

Fun little concept, very stressy, must be just like being a barista! Managed to throw away the whipped cream after one correct order, I think I would be fired very quickly!

As others mentioned, a bit more accurate throwing would help, and maybe some interaction highlights, but very solid overall, great job!

Floppy Fish by Pyspher9 2022-10-20T21:21:38Z

I winned! I like the cute sound effects and the graphics, it wasn't a very difficult game, mostly waiting for the parts to arrive, but a lot of the trash heaps were empty. Maybe something to do while waiting for the parts to appear would have been nice, using your acrobatics to do tricks perhaps!

Darkstar Sailor by darzu 2022-10-20T21:16:22Z

Pretty cool to have created your own engine with HTML5 support! Overall the game worked well, had a bug with the audio that started crackling after a while and then disappeared. The cannonballs should probably have started to arrive sooner after the first three like you said.

Shadow Seeker by Vivifx 2022-10-07T14:57:25Z

That is one ominous looking deity! Great atmosphere, really makes you want to hide! I like the extra chance with your personal shadow, maybe even a bit too powerful that it recharges immediately in shadow! Great job, you should all be proud!

10 Seconds to Slime Freedom by NASH_MAKS 2022-10-07T12:57:54Z

This is a nice concept, could see it evolving into a fun stealth game with even more interactions, way to distract guards, etc. It was a bit difficult to avoid getting stuck, some kind of preview on how to interact with vents, doors, etc would be nice, I often found myself killing my host accidentally before the timer and getting stuck in a room. As previously mentioned it would be good with a level restart, but otherwise good job! Nice atmosphere to it!

Trineko by SinaLIze 2022-10-14T14:33:54Z

This is a cute little game and a nice concept! I think the timer makes it a bit tricky to design and then also play the levels optimally, the added ability to transform manually after five seconds kind of highlights this issue and is a nice addition, but sometimes the order of the transformations is also the problem.

It might have been interesting if you could choose which of the other two cats you had to transform into, so you could strategize a bit more. As it is there are several spots where you are stuck for a full loop because you're just waiting for the correct cat to transform into, which is a bit unfortunate.

A lot of the puzzles are based on physics, but unfortunately the physics of pushing the blocks are quite frustrating, it's hard to measure how long you're gonna push the big block as the big cat for example. The bug of getting stuck in the wall is also very annoying, as it means you have to be really careful not to make a mistake, slowing down the gameplay even more.

Overall it's a nice foundation with a lot of potential, so good job either way!

For Greater Good by BayLock 2022-10-07T14:02:30Z

The graphics are really great, and the concept really works well! I especially like how you have to strategize when to use your divine aura to catch the most amount of babies with each use! Great job!

Jump in the line by resacaGames 2022-10-08T16:58:48Z

This was a very relaxing experience, thank you for that! Kind of stands out among other games where the timer meant most of them were kind of stressful, but this was quite calming!

I wasn't sure there was anything specific to do, so I just kept climbing, but that was good enough for me!

GRABOUL by mattguil 2022-10-07T15:58:21Z

The core concept is very nice! We had some gravity based ideas during our conception phase, but couldn't get it past that stage, but this is a good idea! Simple but creative. I wish there were more variety, after a while it kind of loses it's novelty, but definitely a good one to build on!

The character controller is a bit slippery, for a game like this I would definitely prefer a very tight control of the character, as the challenges are everywhere, but good job overall!

10 Second Transportation LLC by reinhpash 2022-10-15T15:03:16Z

The concept of an interdimensional travel agency is quite fun!

There's something about the camera and the environment that made me slightly nauseous while playing, it can be very individual of course, but something to keep in mind.

I think there needs to be some kind of grace period after shifting and reversing the timeline, as it is you can get hit immediately if you change reality just in front of an obstacle, and there's no way to know when to do it. Maybe your vehicle is non-corporeal for the first second after shifting, so you have time to react!

Good job overall!

Two More Minutes by burrowbling 2022-10-07T16:28:38Z

The graphics, audio and atmosphere is honestly great, really nailed it! The game is unfortunately a bit frustrating to play.

The fact that the camera always keeps the player on the left makes it very difficult to see anything when trying to go right, which you sometimes have to do. The collision is also a bit unforgiving, sometimes you do damage when jumping on the clocks, sometimes you take damage instead, so the hitboxes are not really clear.

It would also be great to be able to jump down from platforms, sometimes it was hard to kill enemies on a middle platform because you had to be careful not to jump through to the platform above, and there wasn't a lot of space to work with.

Great job with the submission either way, hope you will work on a post jam version!

Mochi Gang by MioMilo 2022-10-07T13:26:44Z

Art style is very nice, great job in such a short amount of time! I really like the gang, officially a Mochi-head!

The concept works quite nicely, I really like these types of *co-op with myself* games, although I think it's easy to waste full cycles if you do a single mistake, having to wait 10 seconds doing nothing isn't that fun. Maybe if you could select which character to swap to at the 10 second mark, when all three characters are present?

I also felt very punished having to restart the entire level every time I fell in the water, would be nice with either checkpoints, or just putting the player back on safe ground, since the levels are quite long because of the timer and switching characters.

Great job overall!
