I love the aesthetic of this game; the character rendering and weapon firing effects look great. The soundtrack really tied a bow on it. It could use a bit more variety in level design, but this was overall an enjoyable experience.

Awesome game, really fun, couldn't really find anything to complain about

It is worth making more convenient and smooth control and more difficult enemies (more damage from their shots)

feingehacktes 2019-10-08 19:04

shooting in a 80`s night club athmosphere ;) nice colors !!!

zsombro 2019-10-08 19:08

As a synthwave procuder, I really liked the whole aesthetic of the game!

I also thought the game was pretty damn well-made, especially given the timeframe, it kind of felt like it could be developed into something of a crossover between Hotline Miami and Superhot!

digital-pie 2019-10-08 19:08

really liked the visual style and effects you had going, the mouse sensitvity was a little crazy but overall pretty fun :)

player21 2019-10-08 19:10

I really like aesthetic of this game. ;)

cax 2019-10-08 19:22

pew pew, fun to play!

pashashef 2019-10-08 19:42

Liked the game, it is fun to play a couple rounds. Like the variety of guns and shooting itself, but default sensitivity is quite too high. Also, sound are pretty nice and do not irritate :)

blaster391 2019-10-08 20:39

I'm not sure what this has to do with the theme, but I do love myself some synthwave so I enjoyed it nonetheless.

The art style and music worked together nicely, the only thing I would improve on (other than the default sensitivity) would be to provide more feedback to the player. I found it very difficult to know what my health was, or even if I was being shot.

Also out of curiosity, is there an end, or is it endless? I survived for around 5/6 level I think :)

daitse 2019-10-08 20:43

the game is fun to play but mouse sensitivity is a bit high. Characters have a nice design and the environment is simple but matches the atmoshpere well. The game would really benefit from having a running animation for your characters :)

antoined73 2019-10-08 20:44

Super nice art style and you have great SFX + music ! Some points to enhance : - Reduce A LOT the mouse sensitivity, it's barely playable with this high - Add walk animation for your character - Can't do alt + tab when we are in the game (annoying when you have to change from AZERTY to QWERTY config)

Good job, solid entry !

pepinosmh 2019-10-08 20:46

Besides the omega-sensitive aim, it's good looking and somewhat functional. Good work.

attala 2019-10-08 20:49

This is really well made. I like the artstyle on the character(s). In my opinion the levels could have been somewhat more in the artstyle of the characters, but this is a taste thing i guess. The mouse sensitivity was way too high on my computer. Well done!

twinsides 2019-10-08 20:51

Hotline Miami 3 incoming? Really fun to play.

entropy 2019-10-08 20:53

The art is great, both graphics and audio (synthwave <3) are really nice. I really liked the screen shake upon punching, I wanted to keep punching everything because it felt so powerful (as it should). The levels are a bit frustrating because you don't know if there's is an end or some sort of progress to want to do, but it's cool nonetheless.

herex 2019-10-08 20:53

I really liked the aesthetic and the main character design is pretty cool. However the mouse sensitivity was quite high which ended up making it very awkward to play and I didn't know when I was low on health or not. Good game idea though it would be awesome with those tiny bugs fixed :).

gargoyle-g 2019-10-08 20:54

Like every other person here, love the style and sound. Great Job. Would love to see more of that.

Having the camera go into walls making me blind was the only real problem.

thatmalzan 2019-10-08 21:31

The fact that it's this much fun to play at an unfinished state says a lot! I love your shader and the 80s outfits. My two cents: if you enjoyed yourselves and feel like working more on this in the future, I would really love to see a cover mechanic.

daria-toni 2019-10-08 22:03

It's a shame that the game is so short. In my case, the sensitivity of mouse was crazy. On the other hand, I really like the choice of colors, design and special thanks for the music track. It's cool that there're several types of weapons too.

lbo 2019-10-09 06:24

@blaster391 Thank you for your kind words and critique. Currently the game is endless and it was planned that the level layout would be changed every time you exited the room, however it had to be scrapped around the last hour before submission.

tobb 2019-10-09 21:48

Hey everyone! We published a fix that should solve the mouse sensitivity issue!

solah 2019-10-10 20:28

The game lacks of feedbacks, specially when you hit an enemy. It would have been cool to have more animations and room patterns. The music might be a bit too repetitive. Otherwise, it is a very cool game, I love the chara-design, the mood given by the set of colors and the game is pretty fun. Good job :)

suvrik 2019-10-11 20:00

Great mood, sound, music and art. I bet with character animations this would look even better. Camera behind walls is a bit annoying. I would recommend to use .zip instead of .rar as well, because Windows is able to extract it without any additional software (I needed to use an online decompressor before I was able to play your game). Keep it up!

siarhei-pilat 2019-10-11 20:38

OK so visually and stylistically you were doing a great thing. Unfortunately, gameplaywise it's not there at all. Controls are so-so, camera clipping, camera angle is not suitable for gameplay at all, I'd say. AFAIK over the shoulder camera always comes with aiming system, or zooming system, or sides switch ability, or cover system... otherwise, it makes no sense to use it in the first place. It's like having a healthbar in Super Mario game - there's no purpose for that.

adam-saudagar 2019-10-13 13:53

One thing I'll say hands down, art style is really good. And its surprising to see how even a simple shooting game is so much fun. I really like the game design where you run out of bullets very fast so that you need to constantly throw the weapon you have to swap out. Maybe adding a goal would make the game very rewarding, or maybe a final boss with lots of health, and you have to find weapons in the map to take him down. Adding few more features and pollising it a bit might make the game very addictive.

A bug i encountered was that the AI was sometimes able to shoot through the walls by poking their hand out of he wall.

Really Good Job!!! Keep it up

paulsams 2019-10-13 14:03

Very cute). 2D to 3D. Well, you are great. Something can grow out of this if you create a plot and improve the graphics and animation. Good luck to you)!

druvsaft 2019-10-13 14:04

As others, I really like the aesthetic and the style of the graphics, and the audioscape helps sell the 80's fantasy.

The gunplay is pretty okay, but there's never any real feel of agency in the gameplay, you just rush across the room, mowing down enemies while hoping they don't mow you down first. There's no interesting way to avoid taking damage aside from kiting the enemies around corners, so maybe a cover system or something to differentiate from other shooters would have been helpful. Leaning into the theme more might have helped, making your punch ability something beyond just a tool to get a weapon.

I like that there are different weapon types, wished there were more variety in enemies as well.

stamestratagem 2019-10-13 15:34

the graphics and atmosphere are good, the cam is too sensitive

s-yanik 2019-10-15 11:14

An aesthetic that is reminiscent of the game XIII and the characters highlighted by Bordelands for a fairly successful game.

gehad 2019-10-20 18:50

Cool artstyle and gameplay :D

aj-jones 2019-10-27 20:47

Really like the visual feel, but some of the gameplay itself felt a bit slow and akward.
