I tried the game, a bit crazy, but cool. The balance goes against the player, but it creates a challenge. Fun background tune :)
Why are there so few ratings? I spent at least an hour, I played two times in a row :) This is a great game! Small, but solid. Everything works great, the idea is interesting. Love it :)
Control is not very responsive, but I learned. Simple game, but enjoyable. Cool colors :)
Finally got to this game! Like that this game is challenging. I would like a few more level designs and more responsive controls. It's very cool that after restart banks change their places. You can't cheat using your memory :)
Graphics are very cool! Like the overall style and music too. Not quite sure that the plot is suitable for a given theme (it would be very suitable for last year!). It seems to me that it would be cool to play this game on an dare with a friend (making some bets, of course).
It was too easy, but I definitely love the graphics. The story is a little bit crazy (why is Satan on ... the moon? :) ) and music is cool.
Well, that was depressing, but so good. I guess, it's not for everyone, but I love it. Great choice pf style. So sad that there's no music, but it feels like I can hear it!
I think that the idea itself is good! I definitely like your choice of setting, I would love to play a full game like this. Cool sounds and it's great that you did a voice acting :)
Like it! Especially your choice of style, pretty :)
Well, maybe it looks monotonous, but puzzles are amazing! Love it :) And Satan is such a funny guy with a girly belly, haha :)
Really wanted to play this game, I actually love puzzles like this, but I can't solve the first thing, 'cause I can't add arguments after my.exe file name. It just changes its name or type and nothing new happens. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Win7, btw.
@gonutz wow, thank you for your fast answer :) I'll try it soon!
The only problem (maybe only with HTML version) is jerking camera. Sometimes it drove me crazy. But everything else is very cool! Design, music, idea. This year there's a lot of devilry, but this game definitely stands out and is very fun to play. And yes, I really love pixel design :) Good job!
The style is very cool and it creates such a special mood! Nice music and gamma. The gameplay isn't difficult, but it was a bit hard to quickly understand how it works.
The execution is very simple, but the game is addictive. Controls is very slidey on my taste, but it seems to me that it makes a challenge and it's good :)
Definitely some bugs in there, but I really like the idea! And the design is very cute :) It's sad that it's so simple... But on the other hand it feels finished. Good job!
Absolutely awesome graphics, very beautiful! I feel the atmosphere of this game. Nice music and other sounds. But the controls almost drove me crazy. I would really like it to be more intuitive. But the overall impression of the game remains amazing!
Oh, geez! It was awesome. I absolutely understood your idea and it's very close to me from the recent past. The moment when absolutely simple carries a ton of meaning. Thanks for making it. It means a lot!
Omg, I love it :) So sad that this game is so small, but this is a complete handmade! So cute and funny :)
I don't even know what to call this genre, but it was interesting. It's a sad that it's impossible to manage the battle in any way. Maybe even speed up. Like humor and this cute hand-made graphics :)
I love it :) The style is very cool and the animations are funny. I definitely like the way you interpreted the theme.
I think it's done well and fun :) But it's very difficult to quickly understand what's going on. I would add more tips for the player in the dialogs, i guess.
This game is very fun and cool drawn! Not quite fit the theme, but I don't think this is the main criterion. It's solid and fun to play :)
Absolutely enjoyed this game! Very beautiful arts, amazing overall mood, great music. I can't believe you drew all this during the jam :) Great job!
It's very hard to make a coin roll, it's crazy. The design is simple, but the coin is fun :) Reminds me of a game where you have to play for a piece of bread haha. And yes, a terrific intro, it made me laugh out loud :)
I like your choice of the genre and that you really voiced the characters. I didn't immediately understand what I needed to do, but it was interesting.
Omg, I love it! Style is so creepy cute :) The gameplay is simple, but doing its job well.
Well, that was fun! Funny and brutal. I wish it to be longer and maybe with more challenge. I like your style, simple, but handmade :)
Very cool game! Fast and crazy. Great style choice, fun idea. Absolutely enjoyed it. Good job :)
Too raw for me, but i really like the idea!
And who is that big green guy really are?
itch.io link isn't working =/
Update: and the second one too
The idea is good, I can see a lot of work done. A bit of a strange selection of music, the camera seems too close. I would like a wider view. The mechanic itself works well, cool glow effects :)
I'm sure this game has a lot of potential! Pretty visuals and addictive gameplay :)
Simple but addictive. Funny background and suitable music :)
I guess that there's no actual gameplay, but as an interactive piece of art - this is awesome! Very atmospheric and pretty. I definitely wish to see more like this one.
You managed to make so many different small pieces in the game, very cool! The balance is a bit raw, but it is. It can be very difficult to play against a crowd of opponents, especially at the very beginning. Sad that you didn't have time to create more design! Great job! :)
I would like to have more choices throughout one life, but I deffinately like your design and the idea! Music is pretty funny :)
This game is broken in many places, but I like the graphics and the idea. It could be very fun.
It was glitchy, but funny :)
Wow, that was an experience! A good solid game, the idea is very cool. It was very interesting to play and unexpected to realize that there are several endings. Very lack of sounds and background music. Maybe a bit of a additional design. But it's great job!
Ha-ha, I really like this hand-drawn style :) As if your sketch for the game came to life. The process itself is a bit too simple, but I'll definitely remember this game.
If i get it right, gameplay is just too raw. It's ok, I can see the idea! Nice visuals :)
I really like the idea of the plot, cool hand-made graphics! Like your work with sounds and colors. Therefore, it’s a shame that I often couldn’t pick up an item. Or wandered too long on a location, but this made the game... unexpected for the first time :) So, it's not a bad thing really :)
Actually played this game several rounds straight. Is this really your first try in this tower defense genre? Very cool. Everything works as it should!
Nice little game, really like it! Very solid, with music and stuff :) Was a bit hard to control, but I love challenges.
Absolutely enjoyed this game, it's fast and fun! Simple, but cool use of the theme.
Too simple for my taste, but i like how the topic is submitted. Was there some kind of music/sounds? I haven't heard anything.
I still didn't understand how this game evaluates my skill, but it was fun :) Very original stuff and addictive melodies!
Well, that was a bit crazy :) Sounds very creatively made and... you know... CATS! Nothing about cats can be a bad thing :)
@dreamer thanks! :)
@mikejzx hey, thank you :) these game might be hard at first try, but you only need to know the location ;)
@eyedromeda thank you for your comment! We thought that the name of the game speaks for itself :) I slightly changed the description, maybe it'll help future players.
@mantaraytv-games your comment is very nice, thank you :) I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
@game-coder28 thank you for your nice comment :)
@mimusangel thank you! I didn't quite understand the problem. Are you saying that the machine is too slowly destroying bad robots and you don't have time to escape?
@lukein Maybe the fastest or more humane to the robots, but I don't think that the most optimal one. More dangerous, definitely :) "A good ending" is when at least one good robot remains.
@rancoud thank you for your comment :) We could've made more levels, but the main goal was working mechanics.
@slotha thank you for your nice comment and opinion :) We thought that the name of the game speaks for itself.
@badram hey, thank you :) We know about the situation with diagonal movement, but left it like that. But thanks for the comment!
@hexiez123 oh, thanks, appreciate your comment :)
@shadowhaxz0r such a nice comment, thank you :)
@deathbysnail I agree with you that complication would be very appropriate. Thanks for your opinion!
@vaizaragorn Thank you! Controls may not seem easy at the beginning, but then the game becomes simple.
@benmcnelly Thank you for your comment! :)
@attala I'm glad you stayed and figured out how our game works :) Thank you!
@kaisean-games I'm very happy that you managed to get this experience and see what we did with the endings :) Thank you for returning to the game!
@poffle thank you! I'm glad you like it :)
@mrstari thanks a lot :)
@soujd thank you! We thought that the name of the game tells you what to do. But I'm glad you stayed and figured out :)
@cppchriscpp thanks for your opinion, I'm glad you enjoyed it! The speed of movement remained questionable, but we decided to left it that way :)
@franciszek-pyrc the thing is - you can't save all the robots :) This is part of the game. They destroy themselves in order to help the creators. But the final message changes depending on how many robots you need to destroy the bad guys.
@ivan-garcia-filho hi there, thank you for your opinion and advices!
@cameron-dunlap hey, glad you like our little game :) It seems to me that many of the games this year would rather go to last year’s theme.
@joror thank you! I appreciate your opinion, I agree that more different robots would be great :)
@pequenodev here's a secret - I really thought about Wall-e when i made these robots. I think it's too obvious :) Thanks a lot, we're glad you like it :)
@gonutz hello! Sorry for late answer. Thank you for your comments, they are fair. We hope to use gained experience next time :)
The style is so pretty and detailed, I love it. I think that this type of gameplay is not for everyone, but I like the idea a lot :)
Too short for my taste, but so funny and bright. Nice music too!
Spent time to understand how the game works. It causes difficulties, but challenges. The graphics and sounds are nice. The idea is very funny :)
Haha, this is that type of games I used to kill time with at my previous job some years ago :) Like this creepy style and the idea. I wish the gameplay was more diverse, you can make a full game like this!
It's sad that controls is a bit not friendly, but I like the art srtyle and the choice of the genre.
I really like everything about style of this little game! Very simple gameplay, but fun and addictive :)
Not really my type of game, but I like your work on the dialogues.
Oh, wow, dis one is really pretty and crazy :) I only played new version for browser, I guess it's kinda better than it was before. I was having fun, the game was challenging and I was dying very often ha-ha. Good job :)
I like that this game is very simple, but it works perfectly. Good track on the background, brings nostalgia for old games.
This game definitely has style! Great art and cool music. I love this post-apo-trash-world :) It was a little hard to figure out what to do, but then it gets fun.
Okay, I absolutely in love with the visual style (I love sweet creepy stuff) and music and animations! Omg, animations are so good. I immediately can imagine a big game in such style and with such characters (who played "Overlord" here?). Cons for me - strange camera and only one life (I wish it could be three). Great Pumpkin was heavily hard to beat. Overall - great game!
Why do these Cone guys look like Daleks? Ha-ha. I really enjoed this gameplay system with moves, get interesting puzzles. The design is very simple, but does the trick. And I still wonder - what is the main character! Cutie at some way :)
I actually finished it and had fun! There's nothing wrong with simple but perfectly working things. The only I would add - indicators of how many keys I have. And more levels :)
You should definitely finish this game as a full release! Amazing style and music and sounds and the main character :) There's even an open pictures, your pixel visuals are very good. And biggest plus - procedural generation ('cause this thing always a piece of art). But the gameplay is challenging, not the easiest one (I died very quickly and often, hehe).
Let me just say that everything is good for me in this game! It's creepy, it's funny and a even a bit challenging. There're even many levels (many for LD, of course). Pixel art is cute, music and sounds perfectly complement what is happening. Thank you for such a wonderful game!
HOW? How did you manage to draw all these backgrounds and characters with animations in such a short time? This game is VERY solid. Maybe the combat system is too simple, but it was fun anyway. Amazing dialogues with humor - a huge plus. Great entry, guys!
The controls are a bit, I'd say, tricky. Takes some getting used to. And I couldn't understand why it was water and not air to jump :) Strong sides - very nice atmosphere, music adds to the mood. Really interesting system of mixing elements, unique. Unfortunately, after my first use of meteor skill, I fall out on the bridge... what am I doing wrong?
Okay, I was sure that I would be allowed into the arena, damn :) This game is really solid, everything works as it should, everything is smooth and cool, I love it. You made music music and sounds yourself, didn't you? Amazing :) I just wish there was more to it!
I'm so far from Star Trek, my mom watched it a lot when I was a kid, so my knowledge is very sketchy. But even that was enough to understand the types of characters you created here. And they're funny enough! I like this super simple mechanic and interface, like playing an old text game. For my taste it's a good stylistic choice. And yes, there're a lot of just funny games, but you have a pure verbal comedy here, that's a plus. What I miss is background music and sounds.
As a visual art this is such a cool thing! Great atmospheric mood and graphics.
Okay, I didn't fully understand what was going on and enemies were acting weird... BUT this style! Very very beautiful! And music is very atmospheric. I love it overall :)
I played submission version and my first score was 325 and then 500 :) I didn't quite understand why the game ended at 500, although I still had the details. This game is simple as Tetris and it's great :) Very addictive! Nice design and it sounds like old games (Sega nostalgia here!). Good job!
Everything is very well done, even there is a full-fledged pure voice acting! Amazing! The characters move naturally and a very interesting idea with emerging furniture and overall figurativeness. The camera wagged a little, but it didn't spoil the overall impression. Great storytelling, great job!
I'm not a big fan of this visual style, but music and sounds just gorgeous do their job! And I really like your narrative style.
OK, really the first game at LD in which I had to lower the quality settings. If I judged by screenshots, I would think that this was made in Unreal. So many materials and particles. I took it as a walking simulator and in this role it's very good (nice sounds too). I found 3 letters, but after that still got lost (and fell into NOTHING).
You should write us all a walkthrough :)
My palette was huge and very beautiful, but I pressed "revers" before "save" haha (loser). The process didn't seem very exciting to me (in the end it's more pure math), but the result is very pleasing to the eye. I think that the idea is very original!
Ha-ha, okay, this one gave me such a strong Stanley Parabel vibe! Nice job. I only wish would it be bigger (more crazy stuff!). If there was a rating for originality, I would rate 5/5 (I think I have to go and put it somewhere else here).
Style of your game is amazing! Doom-like-mood is always a plus for me. Great atmosphere of hellish madness. Suitable music. Controls are quite responsive. But I couldn't get to the end. I ran out of ammo or I got lost (I don't know how tbh). But it was really fun to play!
I definately like the world of this game and art. It's great that there're different locations and music. I'd like the process to be a bit more upbeat. And there're some visual bugs, but not critically (for example on level 2 you can go left and see the end of the world:) )
It's a bit difficult to calculate your actions immediately, so as not to die as soon as possible. Haha. But it was interesting to play, simple controls, nice design. I'm pretty sure more can be made of this idea.
Moving platforms are the worst! And now for the goods :) Cute little game, well-chosen music, funny environment. And cats! Thanks for those purrs. I just wish it be longer. Good job!
About a year ago, my friends and I had an idea about a game about building a raft of garbage. Your game looks something like that and it's so great! Because we never used our idea. I wonder how you managed to make it in such a short time! It looks and sounds amazing. I quickly realized that there's not much to do, but everything works as it should (in my opinion). The only problem for me is the inability to destroy buildings or move them (but I understand that this is a lot of extra work). I also thought there was a little bit of balance missing, but for jam everything is done very well. Great entry!
It's all fun and stuff, but... how did you manage to do it all in such a short time? In your game there're a lot of different pieces and it all look very nice! For some reason the Horde didn't work for me, but I was definitely doing something wrong. Otherwise it's a lot of fun! I wouldn't call it a game... rather, it is an interactive toy. Good job!
This is very good for the prototype, it's a shame that there is no music and sounds. There's a good atmosphere of the woods somehow. I think you should keep working on it! The graphics look nice.
Haha, I really like your idea! The execution maybe a bit simplistic, but everything works as it should. It's fun to be a man behind the scenes :)
In the beginning I was a little confused, I couldn't understand that I just need to collect a certain number of food on the first island. I didn't see a stone there and thought it was a bug. After several restarts I accidentally waited until the right moment and then everything went fine! I really enjoyed this game, I love Scandinavia so this is my perfect setting. Of course I want the game to be bigger, but in this form it's already absolutely solid. Plus for graphics and music!
Haha, this one is really fun! Exelent cute style and story (poor mr.Racoon!). The music is great and makes you more nervous (which is good in this case). I didn't manage to play it long time, large objects too quickly block the way. But anyway, nice job!
I don't remember anything about chess from my childhood, but I tried to play anyway. The execution is so simple (but I like it!), but the idea is very interesting and complicated.
I like the storytelling part and the choice in favor of minimalism in style. Well chosen music and sounds. But jumping almost drove me crazy x) It would be great if jump didn't wasn't tie with direction buttons (so that the jump was just in direction which you have already turned). But beyond that it's a nice entry.
Okay, can I talk about bugs so I can move on to the good stuff? Player moves too slowly for my taste. Maybe it brings balance, but I'm not sure. Big soldiers always stay where I brought them to life. They're not moving in the direction I'm trying to send them. Waves don't change when I restart game. Helps to restart the game completely. Let's move on to the good! I really like this style of graphics, looks great! A very nice idea with raise the dead (plus for humor, because chickens and pigs are fun). There's music and a lot of different sounds, which is undoubtedly very cool. And the presence of the plot makes the process more interesting. Bugs didn't spoil the overall impression, when you enter the rush then play is a lot of fun. Great entry!
Controls in this game are very clumsy and the fact that I had to hit enemies with a heel made me laugh (not really in a bad way, but it's funny) :) But the atmosphere is gorgeous, creepy, thick (for me it's something between Limbo and Badland).
Amazing pixel art! I like the background music, but the sounds are very out of tune. The idea with the lantern is cool! For me, the game was a bit complicated, but I think controls should be redesign a little. I constantly struggled with the desire to jump on top of the pumpkin as in the classic platformers :)
It's not a game, it's an interactive fun :) I was really laughing a lot (yeah, I used lightening)!
I think I've played this game the longest. And is it a game? Crazy electronic catalog of substances. For some reason, the process itself is so fun. And yes, idea is absolutely unique.
I didn't expect it, but I love your game! Great graphics and fun idea, very addictive gameplay. Perhaps it needs polishing in some details, but already now it feels very solid. Good job! I spent a lot of time in your game :)
Geez, this one is so good and polished! I love everything about it, music, style, art and this amazing voice. Great job!
I didn't expect anything from this game, but it turned out to be great! A good idea with a reference to role-playing games, cute little dragon (who doesn't like dragons???) and nice sounds. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish level 6, its mystery for me never opened.
@firesplash-entertainment thank you for answer! I'll try your game again today, definatelly :)
My first thought was - a browser game? How extraordinary! And then I fell in love. Yes, this game is very simple, but it awakens some nostalgia that I can't explain. The music is amazing! Very unusual work, thank you.
Controls seemed a bit unresponsive, but the idea of gameplay mechanics is good. And I like the design, cute color scheme.
Okay, this game is very very good! Great style choice and even cool camera movement at the beginning. Suitable music and a ton of lines of dialogue! I was confused when I started (because it was a strange conversation between two strangers)... but then the story picked up. I didn't go over it, but I realized there were several endings. Is that so? Amazing :)
I went through the game to the end and I really liked it! There were a lot of games in the universe formation setting at LD45, but you came up with the theme perfectly. The most important thing is that this game really challenged me. Nothing made me nervous the way the Prey's Mimics did... but your enemies did it! Minimalistic, but nice graphics (I must say that I have an old computer and it slowed down, but I still played). Nice music (I would like just a little variety). And an interesting plot! Great entry for me :)
Ha-ha, that was fun! I can't believe you created so many funny descriptions for things. And I like this style -teen-goth from the 2000s (I think it's me). I wish there was music and sounds.
Okay, this game is actually pretty solid. As a fan of stuff like "Beat Cop" I really enjoed this type of a gameplay. Nice music (I would listen it outside the game), short but suitable story. Visuals are nothing special, but I like it anyway.
It's not a game, it's a... visual experience. I would call it that. Style is very unique and mood is just amazing. I can't rate it as a game... but I will as a virtual piece of art.
I read the description in advance, so I knew the controls, no problems :) I didn't expect much, but I like this game! Too bad it's so short. I would like to see further stages of development of my little blue thing :) I would add some more sounds, but I like the background track. Also plus for your pixel art! I can feel the mood.
I reached level 6 with about 1050 points. When I started the game, I didn't think I'd start againand again and again. It's very funny and addictive, I'd say. Cool interpretation of the theme, didn't see anything like that. Plus for the hand-drawn graphics and funny sounds. Good job :)
Haha, that's very original. The mechanics are very simple, but your use of theme is very clever. I'd just add some music :) Well done!
To be honest, I couldn't finish this game, the controls are too tricky for me. It reminded me of Ori, I went through a lot, but I never finished. But hardcore isn't bad, just not for everyone :) I enjoyed the graphics and the sound! The player's character runs cool (animations)!
I had a little trouble time with control (you can endlessly ride around each other in circles haha), but then it became fun. There's no menu in web version, that was very strange. Just WOW and you're right in the game. Visuals of the game is amazing! Oh, that train from the car, it's beautiful. The concept itself is cool, but at some point there were so many cars that they began to break each other. But it was fun :)
Hell, I like a lot of things about this game tbh! Cool music, great colors and style. Evokes nostalgia for "Hello, Neighbor" somehow. Sometimes physics is buggy, but it can be fun. At some point I started to cheat and memorize the most expensive objects, haha :) Great job, guys!
I couldn't understand what exactly was happening or what my actions were affecting (I finished playing only until vegetation). But I liked the atmosphere of the game and the graphics a lot! I believe that it can be improved and made a full good game.
The idea is just great, so original! It would be nice if more people saw this game. There're some technical problems (pictures cover the text, but its styling is just amazing!), but text game filling works well (as I can tell). I'm sure this little thing could be developed into a big project.
I would like to see more of the plot here, but I really like the game! The unique idea (remiding me of how actions in irl role-playing games) and pleasant soundtrack.
I finished it! The only oddity is the balance, I didn't feel it. Otherwise I love it. Cute design (the robot and its sounds reminded me of Tachikomas from Ghost in the Shell series). I like the plot idea, great mood. I think this little game can grow into a big game. I would add different kinds of plants and more story behind. Anyway, great solid entry!
Did you make this game with MagicaVoxel? If so, it's amazing, I rarely see that. I actually really enjoed the idea and gameplay. How did you manage to create even an upgrade system with separate menu in such short amount of time? That's so cool!
It took me a while to figure out how everything works here... But I didn't regret it! Stylistically, this is the best game yet. You bought me completely with all your witchy vibes and pixels and music.
It was very difficult for me to play, I died a lot... But this game has an amazing style! It looks absolutely great for my taste. Sounds and music add to the mood. Big plus for the atmosphere, guys!
OMG! This is my favourite one! This is it! I need to say I love space and I played a lot of space games at LD45... but this one is gem. Everything is beautiful here, I don't even need the ultimate goal or something like that. Just beautiful visual toy, THANK YOU.
Controls are very sensitive sometimes, but can get used to it. I quickly found a place I couldn't jump, haha. On the bright side, I really like this creepy style (ex-tim-burton-fan here). I believe that from this you can make a good full game.
I finished playing! It's so small, but so sweet and the style is unique. I love the subject you bring up here. I think this little game may have the potential to grown up in something bigger :)
This game looks like a prototype, but early mechanics all work as should. I wish I could see it expanded. I can imagine It could be something very funny (and with crazy music!). Anyway, nice try :)
Can't run the game, says I don't have enough permissions... maybe somebody knows what could be the problem?
It's not a game in the general sense, it's a visual toy, I would say :) I love space! You bought me outright. It's so cool how everything flies and planets are formed and particles merge. Done perfectly. The music is really suitable. I spent half an hour on this thing, thank you!
This game is very difficult for me, but I tried many times. I really like the concept and the cute style. The idea of the forest is very green and it pleases me. I would like more variable difficulty. But I think it's great and challenging, nice job!
Okay, this game looks nice and scary. Strange plot for my taste, but effects of drugs are made very interesting. Must be a lot of work? My cons - no landmarks, very easy to get lost. Music - sometimes very good and creepy, sometimes... strange sounds?
There wasn't much left to play, but what you were trying to do with the appearance of the game is very individual. Like a collage! Too bad it's so raw. Good attempt!
I really like this game! I know that the visual style is not for everyone (but personally I love that), but there're so many details, for example - a different description for each object. There's a full story (despite the fact that the game is short) and home-made sounds.
An incredible number of times I fell into the water and started again. It's the kind of game you can't take seriously, but they\re extremely addictive. I like the way you brought it to theme, I laughted. And if the graphics are just ok, then procedural generation is a complex and elegant thing, pretty amazing.
This game is quite hardcore, remind me of old video games. Really like the graphics, I remember main character from your post. Music quiet fit with the mood.
Okay, first of all, it's Halloweeny, you already bought me. Secondly, cool mechanics. And the gameplay is really intense, in a good way. The game is small, but everything looks and sounds very nice. Great job!
I agree that the game is a bit difficult, but I don't think it's a bad thing. Personally, I was very interested. In my opinion, there're two options - to add training level in or ability to watch manual during the game. Or slightly change the interface of the panel with switches. I really like the design and I think it's a good conception!
@baturinsky we checked on two computers and everything is fine. Maybe you have an old version of WinRar? And yeah, the pack is ~21mb, but unpacked game is ~70mb.
@baturinsky We added 7z archive to itch.io anyway :) Thank you for your feedback! We decided to make this type of story not for the sake of a twist, but in order to raise a certain topic.
@attala thank you for your nice comment! We chose a simple search game so that more people could finish it and see our idea. But I like puzzles suggestion! About doors - actually there is a sound of a click of a door, it's not so loud, most likely it was muffled by sounds of an interaction with object.
@kenarf thanks for your comment! I'm glad you like it :)
@givit-game-studios oh, I'll give you a hint, there're 9 objects in the first room, these are photos and letters. Maybe you'll look on the shelves and... in the boxes :) Then the door should open, I promise. We wanted to make it possible to re-read things, but disabled it in the process. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the effort :)
@trito we're very happy that you're touched by our story, this is what we hoped for :) Thanks!
@mazen-morgan hey, thanks for playing the game! It's so great that you like it.
@kushimoto thank you! I'm really happy that you like it :)
@jk5000 thanks a lot :) We broke the story as a mosaic for a reason, to assemble it in your mind. But I can imagine it can be difficult to keep all the information in your head. And it's sad that font seemed complicated to read for you. I'll consider this remark for the future.
@designernap you need to find interactible objects, after 9 things in the first room the door will open. But I'm glad you like it anyway, thank you!
@dwam wow, such a big comment :) Your words about font are very useful, we'll take it for the future. I can imagine the separation that you talking about. It might look very neat. I always take style comments as an experience for the next projects. And I'll take your compliment to the rooms as personal one, because I created them, thanks a lot :)
@a-french-canadian-studios thank you! I enjoyed your story too :)
@smackmet yeah, we haven't tried anything humorous yet, so I'm glad you like the seriousness of our game. Thanks! P.S. Rowdy is such a good boy, we love him too, R.I.P.
@daitse well, there's not much room to run around in the apartment too :) And yes, font, that's a popular remark. Maybe we'll make a different PostLD version with different font... We'll see. Appreciate your opinion!
@brokenmirrormedia thanks a lot for your comment! Your suggestions are very fair, we'll use this experience in the future (or in another version?...). If there're grammatical mistakes in the text - I'm sorry, English isn't our native language, we tried. And we're very happy that you like our story and mood! Your comparison to "Gone Home" is a huge compliment for me personally, because it's one of my sources of inspiration regarding the narrative and mood.
@greendinogames thank you! :)
@nachtwitch thanks a lot! We're discussing an update in the future.
@theog oh, geez, I'm sorry that you almost cried... on the other hand, it was our goal :) I'm glad to hear it made you emotional, so we did everything right. Thank you!
@scott-steffes Thank you for your comment! Сlosed doors were a conscious decision to call player's curiosity and break the story on aparts.
@thatmalzan happy to hear it, thank you :)
@danilo-freire we'll talk about it, but no promises for now.
@whatnamegames thank you! This time we decided to focus on a good clean narrative and ruled out unexpected twists. I'm glad the simplicity didn't spoil the experience for you :)
@tommyflower rich environment was my personal goal, i'm glad i nailed it for you! Appreciate your opinion and remarks, thank you!
@nsadie i'm glad you like it, thanks!
@raivk thanks a lot! I'm happy that you like our story and mood for this game :)
@local-minimum thanks for your comment! Especially about the fact that house felt very real, that was my goal, but at the same time I tried to stylize everything (one of the sources of inspiration was the game "The Long Dark"). About right mouse button - I'm not sure how unusual it is, but fun fact - @dinorex started playing "Layers of Fear" today for the first time and there's literally the same mouse controls x) I'm glad you enjoyed our game anyway :)
@amastryukov hey, I'm happy you like it! Yes, I agree that it would be cool to re-read everything, but this time we had to leave it like that.
@ashashza I'm glad it was an interesting experience for you, I'm connected to the story too, in a way. Thanks for your words.
@yomissmar thanks a lot for your comment, I'm glad you like our game :)
@ayxs wow, thanks for your big comment! And for your open opinion, we'll take note of it. The only thing I wanted to clarify - I consciously didn't use Normal Maps, it was a stylistic move. But I appreciate your opininon :) Thanks for playing our game.
@sir-galloy-de-fierpate thank you for your words! It's good that we get opposing opinions about closed doors. And you liked it :)
@esben-jensen we consciously made such a serious story and then decided to make an explanatory afterword, so that the whole experience wasn't unfinished. Glad you like it and simple mechanics too :)
@geoff-nagy In the beginning there was another music track, but at the early stage of testing we were already sick of it. I'm glad @dinorex changed it :) I'm happy you like our little game!
@zimennik спасибо за комментарий! Подобного рода геймплей был осознанным выбором, мы хотели сделать чистый сторителлинг) Рада, что понравилось!
@franciszek-pyrc haha and why exactly were you sniffing the walls? :)
@franciszek-pyrc I'm glad to hear it!
@dane-tesla I wish I could do opening cabinets and boxes, but not this time. Somehow initially we decided that it would be photos on the walls and letters around. The main character packed things and in the process re-read the letters and forgot them there. That's the explanation :) And thank you for your comment! And about the lamp... believe it or not, it is how the texture looks like ha-ha. I didn't notice until you told me. And there are three :)
@james-dunlap I'm glad we gave you some diversity. Thanks a lot for your words!
@solah I'm glad you enjoyed our story!
@ahistyap ha-ha, I'm sorry, but on the other hand I think it's not a bad really, it was a surprise for you in the end. I'm happy you liked it!
@hcursino yeah, now I can see it might look funny :) But the fact is that some brain diseases work in such a way that a person can confuse the past and the present and forget something or almost everything, but with triggers will accurately recall some specific things. That's what we were trying to show. But I am very happy that you enjoyed our game! Your words are really kind :)
@linheha believe it or not, someone was cutting onions when I translated all those letters, especially a letter from a friend's wife. I thought "Why did we decide to put our character through this stuff?" :)
@projectaroid thank you!
@rodrigo-denubila thanks a lot! We intentionally didn't do any additional mechanics to focus all jam time on other aspects. I'm glad it doesn't spoil the experience.
@betelgeuseman спасибо большое, такие комментарии очень ценны) Да, мы осознавали невозможность повторного интерактива с объектами, по некоторым причинам мы сделали так в этот раз. Я рада, что это не портит общего впечатления)
@mrstari thank you! Yeah, we know about shadow/light thing, it was impossible to find a solution to this problem at such a time, unfortunately.
@eduardo-scheffler thank you! I'm glay you enjoyed it :)
@bilalch213 thank you for your comment! Yeah, we know about light-shadow thing, we even know how to fix it, but it wasn't our number 1 priority tbh.
@asfdfdfd haha, well... let's pretend it's... not real doors, but... emotional blocks (I made it up right now). Seriously, I didn't even think about it until you told me. Funny!
You know what? I think it's a nice entry. Personally, I have the game fully worked as it should, although the gameplay is a little hardcore (but it's for me and I finished it anyway). That's good. Graphics are nice, though simple. I would suggest adding sounds, but the background track is cool. Don't stop working on the games!
This brings back nostalgia. Everything is good in this game, music adds more atmosphere. I had some trouble hitting the target, so I died often. But I enjoyed it.
Very appropriate for October! This is the second Halloween game for me and I liked it. Yes, it's simple, but I love the mood. If it was me improving the game (I'm not an expert!) I would first of all drew the textures of the enemies/player and added animations/effects from hitting target (as answer to your input).
I got stuck after I found the flashlight. Somebody tell me what to do next! The controls are a bit crazy, but otherwise I like the game, I love puzzle ones. And a funny name :)
I really like the concept of game and your pixel art is amazing, definitely. Music and sounds perfectly complement this. Cons have already been named above - too sensitive controls. Maybe you'll do an update, it would be cool!
I couldn't finish even once, but this game is VERY well made. It looks great, the feedback from the controls is great, all the sounds are nice and the effects are too. Yes, it's very challenging, I wouldn't recommend it to people with little patience. But for fans of hardcore - definitely. Somehow I was reminded of the challenging levels of Five Nights at Freddy's, when you need to act quickly and be very focused.
The controls are a bit weird and I really missed the music... The rest of the game is just great! Amazing mood and graphics, plus - cool mechanics. I can imagine it as a big game.
I like the idea, it's good and I have nothing against simple graphics. And I like your way of craft-build here (not a typical tower defence). But events happen too slowly and there's very large free spaces. Really funny sounds (when the enemy shoots - it clicks the pen?).
Interesting mechanics, never seen anything like it! Sometimes the beam doesn't work, but after trying it works. It took me a while to see the crystal at the top before I realized I needed to get upstairs. And it was a pleasant discovery :) Geat graphics, reminded me of old games like "Halo". And yes, very appropriate to the theme.
I really enjoyed this game! I love creepy stuff :) It looks and sounds amazing (plus for cute pixel art!). I was actually very sad when it ended (I was ready for more hardcore!). I'm sure that this can grow into a strong full project!
Very impressive how much you've done in such a short time! Game has a great mood and a good choice of colors. So far it has been the game that has gripped me for the longest. Yes, I had a bug without enemies after the first death (as many of players). One more thing, I survived for a very long time, but then screen just went black and menu appeared. Was it a loss? There was no indicator of that =/ But I really enjoyed the gameplay, great job! I'm sure a big project could grow out of this.
It's a shame that the game is so short. In my case, the sensitivity of mouse was crazy. On the other hand, I really like the choice of colors, design and special thanks for the music track. It's cool that there're several types of weapons too.
I like your message and the world! It's sad that this game is so short. Nice music and pixel art.
There's always at least one satanic game at LD that I have to play! I was having fun, even if I didn't immediately understand the building mechanic (I usually don't play games of this genre). Funny and great graphics, music and sounds. Really nice job!
I can see your idea, I wish some more levels (and clothes for the little guy). But you know... your game is fully working, it's already good :)
WOW! That was REALLY good! I love it :) Everything about this little game is so catchy, I think you really could make one big thing out of this, I can see it.
It was a bit difficult for me to play, but then I got used to the controls and movements. Nice pixel art and fast gameplay.
I think this is a very interesting look at the theme. I've never seen anything like it before. I really like the animations with molds, music and sounds. The process of collecting sand seems a bit... monotonous. The sand itself is made great. I think this can make into a cool mobile game :)
Okay, the game mechanics are just INSANE! And I can't tell if it's good or bad, but it's definitely interesting. I finished the game completely... and didn't understand how it all works xD Pros - different fighters, humor, great background tracks. Missed the sounds of the battle (in my head seemed so funny, like in old Hong Kong films). This is definitely a very interesting and fun project, I like it. Nice entry :)
Actually, I really like this game, I didn't have high expectations though. Somehow this wake up nostalgia for 00s games (maybe it's music and art style). I'm not sure how it relates to the theme and controls are tricky, but it was very fun to play and it's challenging!
Well, it has become a good tradition for me to play at least one Lovecraft-inspired game at LD. And you must tell us all what to do in the Church :) (except for book, meteorite and bloody text). The style is interesting and nice, graphics are great. I would like some background music. Gameplay mechanic is very interesting, but I couldn't go beyond the Church =/
Wow, that was fast! Nothing challenging, but the atmosphere is great. To be honest I was thinking about "Control" game the whole time (very mystical Department!).
I finished it! It was fun, really. I think randomization of plants would diversify the process and it would be worth removing them away from the store portal (otherwise you can be cunning and just run out not for long). And I would add some music to the background, ambient maybe. The rest is just great, I really like how the game looks and how nice the controls behave. The fully functional store menu is also a plus! Good entry!
It was difficult for me to play because of controls (because of specifics of camera), plus I didn't immediately notice the icon of interactive objects. On the other hand, I like music and your choice of colors. The main character has a really nice animation!
How does this game look so good? Great atmosphere, gameplay a bit hardcore for my taste, but it's not bad. Everything is very well done and I see it as a big full game tbh.
I finished it so fast! I definitely didn't expect that. I like it a lot, I can imagine this hero as solid character of a big game. The mechanic are very fresh, but require improvement. All sounds are great! Nice job, guys!
I couldn't finish the game (jump wanted to kill me!), but it was very funny. Plus from me for movie-references! Funny characters, music and sounds are different and relevant. Drawn simple graphics also very nice :)
Such a nice little thing. I like the serious thought you put in here. And it looks simple, but works as it should! Good job :)
It's very simple and fast, but as I understand you just tried some things in this piece and everything works as it should. I really like the music! It seems to me that there's no gameplay, but I hope it will help in your future projects!
Simple and solid! I love your storytelling style :) Btw, at the first start the game broke, but at the second everything was fine.
@a-french-canadian-studios I wrote this more for those who have this happen and going to read the comments... But definately it may well be just my really tired computer :)
I actually really like the idea (I love space, what can I say!) and the graphics (pretty!). But it's so freakin' fast, I never had enough time to build a big pack of planets. Big plus from me for using dark space stuff in theme about NOTHING :)
As a Sega kid I have to admit that this game looks and feels perfect for its genre. And here the same the classic hardcore on Bloodborne-like level x) Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish, stuck on level where ypu need to locate the goblet. My hands were really sweating! And I faced a problem when using arrows it's impossible to jump on the left surface upwards. But everything works with WASD, but then the whole load goes to one hand (I don't whine, I state haha). But all the mechanics work perfectly, everything looks gorgeous and nostalgic. Great entry!
Hahaha, omg, that was so funny. So simple, but made me smile :) Good job.
Controls are too sensitive for my taste, but on the other hand that makes the game hardcore. I like the style, stunning design. Simple, but memorable :)
Despite the fact that ther's almost no gameplay, I have to say that pixel art and animation of main character are very cool. And there's even music! (which doesn't happen sometimes in larger projects).
Your game is very funny, but sometimes difficult. Jumping requires skill. And you need to manage not to fall apart ha-ha! Sometimes you can catch a bug, but rebooting works perfectly.
Ok, this game looks too simple and even funny, BUT! - it has an upgrade system, a store and various enemies. And it all works as it should! Good job in this part of the game. Graphics are simple, but everything is visually clear. And yes, you added the ability to turn music/sounds on and off! Very nice little option. Well done!
I absolutely adore your choice of style! Amazing, pretty and even cozy. My first problem was to find the first item and then I stoped after taping together pieces of photo and letter. I gave photo to the girl, talk with her and couldn't find what to do next, it's so sad :/ But this game is absolutely pretty and music is so fitting. Good job!
I really really like your style! The game is very funny and comical (yes rabbits, bite these lumberjacks!). I would add some kind of visual feedback from clicking on the enemy and more sounds. All in all - cool and polished game!
It seems to me that this game has potential, but I would add a few things. For example, a mini map or the ability to hear enemies from afar. It's very difficult to understand where you need to go and how close the enemy is to you. I like music and simple graphics. Is the little pink guy a robot? He is very cute :)
This game is deceptively simple at the beginning! I wish the beginning wasn’t so fast ha-ha. It was very difficult for me to play for a long time, everything happens so fast. And that's good, the game is challenging. Cute simple pixel graphics, funny music and sounds. Nice music acceleration effect. And only one question - why is the guy naked? :)
I almost got lost and wanted to give up, and then the game brought me to the beginning (and the end). I really liked the visual and sound design. Sometimes it was even scary a bit! Unfortunately, I didn't fully understand the plot idea of the game and didn't notice whether the light affects something or is it just a maze. Anyway, good entry!
Amazing and cool game, I can’t imagine how you did so much work in 72 hours. Impressive graphics (my old computer slowed down a bit), thanks for the different settings. Really funny music and all sounds in place. I didn't immediately realize that not all birds followed me, but then I found all my chicks. That was fun! Good job!
Well, I have mixed feelings. The game often behaves strangely, active objects cease to be active. After the first end of the game, I started again (in version 1.1) and nothing was activated, except for watering. But this game (visual experience?) has strengths! Amazing psyhodelic little story, great art, nice music. Atmosphere! Such things are generally for my taste! I would like to see this project completed or expanded into something more.
I was a little confused when I downloaded file with unknown type, but then I read the comments :) You should edit description of the game so that people know how to launch your game. I think that graphics are very cute and music/sounds are very suitable for the style. The gameplay fits the theme. The game on one hand is very simple, on the other it's not clear from the beginning what needs to be done. I would add some tutorial.
Yes! I love it! This is definitely my type of storytelling and old school stylization is superior, ofcourse :) There's one visual bug with the floor and game is very short (sadly...), but I love everything about it! Good job.
This may be the last game I try this time... and I'm so glad I chose it! How did you make such beauty in such a short time? It is fantastic! This project is very beautiful, sounds great and challenges a lot! Unfortunately, I have an old computer and it was hard to cope with the graphics, but I'll play on another one later. This is an excellent job and I'm sure that this will make into a very cool full-fledged game! Keep up the work. P.S. And the menu! I forgot to tell. Very beautiful.
Okay, that's a very interesting concept. How did it occur to you to combine dancing and typing? :) Very unusual. I played only at simple mode and it was still difficult to me (or I'm just bad at typing, ha-ha), but I would recommend this game to someone who wants to learn how to type quickly, but to disco music.
Hey, @fancy89 thanks for the comment! We didn't want to complicate the game so that anyone could finish it.
@pagetb thabks a lot!
@colan hey, thank you for your opinion and for checked out our game.
@waqar-naeem thank you!
@rolodophone We wished it would be tense, thanks.
@statt thank you for your opinion on our game! We tried not to make the game too complicated and were in a little hurry, so there're not too many enemies.
@nosfer wow, I didn't think about it, but such a cool comparison. Thank you :)
@jahwffrey thank you very much! Nice to hear it.
@fpgames thanks for your opinion. Well it was... half-intended :) We often strive to give less information and allow to understand the game by playing it (and this often works against us in the end hehe). I'm glad you liked it!
@natalie-sodomkova hi and thanks for your opinion! We will take into account such advice for the future. This is our first attempt in this genre.
@le-don thank you for trying our game! Stealth mode makes you more invisible and inaudible to the enemy. In normal mode he notices you from afar and hears you too. In stealth mode you can go very close and go unnoticed. We believe that self-learning during the game can be fun, but I'll not argue, it's individual.
@le-don I really understand your point of view about this. I'll think it over :) Thanks for your opinion anyway.
@peterbuo well, it seems we have achieved our goal in the topic of tension, thanks!
@nathan-wiles in stealth mode the movement is much slower, if this doesn't annoy you, then really nothing stops you from going through the whole game like that :) Thank you for your comment!
@charles-fernandez I agree with you that we should have added some kind of landmark. But the end of development took place in a hurry and we weren't completely sure what the location would be. Thank you!
@charlietu already the second mention of MGS, wow! Thanks a lot :)
@jasonsumm1 thank you! I'm glad you like it.
@klark007 in theory enemies can't see through the walls (maybe you found a bug?), but they still have a hearing, so they can hear through the walls. Hearing radius is always bigger than vision, even in stealth mode. Thanks for trying our game!
@derstander ha-ha, actually we even had a little argument about which button to use. Glad you like our game, thanks for such positive response!
@techsec hey, I'll try your game later :) We try not to complicate the mechanics too much and so more or less managed to avoid bugs (I hope so heh). Thank you for your comment!
@kelsyrup oh, thank you! Our programmer made a map in the last hours (and I was dead, sleeping) and we didn't know what it would be like until the end. I really hoped that the players could find a way out :)
@notan-lemon I'm glad you like it! We didn't want to make enemies too fast or in large numbers so that anyone could complete our game. But we personally would like it to be more hardcore tbh :)
@thomas-bringer hey! Sorry for late answer. I'm glad you liked our little game! As I said before, our programmer made a map in the last hours and we didn’t know what it would be like until the end.
I can’t stop thinking that... the character looks like a giant leather ball X) This is very distracting. I couldn't fully understand what the meaning of this game was and how you wanted to connect it with the theme, but ... control felt so nice? I don’t know why, but to make this ball fly is very satisfying sometimes. I would like to see this project as you intended it, to be honest.
Hey, hi! Remember me? I'm here and I really like your game! Very simple graphics, but the process itself is so exciting. Reminded me of early MGS games in some way. I like that you need to do the calculation of how to pass each level correctly. The story is nothing special, but fits the topic. I would really like to hear the sounds in this game (sound like on early consoles maybe?)
I can say a lot of good things about this game! I finished tutorial and made some serious attempts (but still haven't won yet!). Pros: training, interesting mechanics, sounds, simple and clear design. I would add: music on the menu, a more attractive font (but this is not very serious). I enjoyed this game a lot, very cool and individual!
Oh, I love puzzles! The control buttons are very strange and you need to get used to it, but then it becomes a lot of fun. Funny concept, good implementation. Everything works as it should! The entry made me smile. The graphics are simple, but clear. I really miss some music and sounds! Great entry :)
This game really challenges and quickly ceases to be just funny! Great idea. Cool sounds for every single action and a very crazy fish ofcourse!
Very hardcore game from the very beginning (I couldn't finish it). This may be a strong point for some players, but can repel others (I appreciate the difficulty). Nice graphics, but would love to hear some sounds or/and music. Controls are a bit sensitive, but not complicated. I would add a little history (why does the knight want pills so much?).
I really would like to play this game, but with my Internet connection I'll download it for at least one hour... Geez, now I'm even more interested in what is it! ><
This game is very primitive, but I read that this is your first project and you participated in compo. It’s good that you didn’t give up and finish this little thing, this is a great development experience for you. Don't give up and participate in the future! Nice try!
Oh, well, that was fun and a bit nervous. I didn't finish the game, but I started three times in a row and it was still fun. Great art and good sounds, really enjoyed the direct use of the theme.
The gameplay in this game is very experimental! I like that player learns from mistakes by trying different combinations. At first it seems too simple, but then addictive (I really couldn't survive too long and started again several times!). I haven't seen such games at this LD. Nice and simple graphics! I would add more varied background music. After all, great job!
This game is very simple and monotonous, but funny. Nice pixel art and funny relevant sounds (nom-nom-nom). I would like this game to challenge more or become more complicated over time. But I must say that in this version it functions perfectly. Not bad!
This game lacks polishing, the graphics are nice, but controls are not convenient. There're funny moments in the gameplay, but the story isn't revealed enough in my opinion. I would add some background music. But I can really appreciate the work done on this project. Nice job!
This game is very smart, but repulsively challenging. I was able to go through several levels, but the constant rollback was a little upset. But I really like the idea! I haven't seen anything like it at this LD yet. Games with learning from mistakes require a lot of time and I would like to return to this game later. Nice entry!
The game continues to crash after the phrase "babysit you". So sad, I really wanted to try this one! The graphics look cool, by the way. Maybe some update later?
Ok, I found a lot of bugs in this game, but if you'll finish it in the future, it can turn out to be a very nice cute platformer. I like the choice of style and the sounds, too. I just fall under the floor too often and jumping is weird sometimes. Keep learning!
I love this game! Super polished and fun, challenges my nerves ha-ha. Great graphics and music, cool interpretation of the theme. I’m not even sure that something needs to be changed in it, this is a full-fledged project. Great entry!
Ha-ha, that was fun. The game lagged a bit, but I just missed some punches. The gameplay is quite monotonous, but addictive (if you like rhythm gameы, of course). The graphics look nice.
Yes, this project is very raw, but I definitely can see your idea! And it's pretty good. I didn't immediately understand that the matter was in the rhythm of the background sound, but then I began to quickly gain points.
It was too fast and too small! I would do several levels with increasing difficulty. But cool graphics and functions perfectly. And I would stroke kitty anyway!
This is, like... really amazing? Absolutely beautiful and relaxing mini game. There's no complicated gameplay, but it is a real aquarium simulator, i would say. And it’s very cute and very polished. Great job!
I don't know why, but the game doesn't work for me at all. The music turns on, I see the start and a lot of cars, time ticks, but nothing moves. I tried to run different files, but it's all the same... but it could as well be my computer, it's been weird lately.
This game is so cute! I love the colors and the pixel art, just amazing! I wish it had cute music and sounds, but the look is perfect. I think this game is very chill and cozy.
The game looks great and cute! Making a card battler for jam is a very risky business in my opinion, but you did it, that's so cool. Plus for the art style, sounds and music (which often stuttered, but still made me happy). The minus for me was the fact that I can't see in advance what my opponent will be doing. Mostly in such games it is visible, that's the whole point; then you can prepare properly. In this case, I was just preparing for random events. But maybe that was the idea?
Very unusual game! I really like your idea and its execution. It takes time to learn the buttons, but then the game goes faster and more fun. I would like to note the beautiful and cute art style! I love it very much. I would really like there to be music and sounds, of course. But otherwise everything works great!
I think the concept of the game is very good, but I encountered bugs during the play. But that's normal for a jam! First of all, I want to note the art style, I was glad to read that you used physical drawings for the design of the game. I also like the cute sounds. Tbh, I would really love to see the final version of this game.
Lasted until wave 29. Overall the game works fine, but the balance stays on a player's side for a long time (which may be good for a jam, but doesn't give much of a challenge). There aren't enough enemy and building variations in my opinion, but what there is - works! I just don't understand what the mines do lol, maybe I played too early in the morning XD The music was cool, but it ended and never started again. It would be nice to add some sounds to the game, of course.
Plus from me for the festive pumpkin! <3
I hope to come back if you release a more optimized version! My computer is fine, but I couldn't play it properly, unfortunately. The main character looks very cute and handsome, and I also like the music and sounds! Good luck, guys!
Strong Studio Ghibli vibes, aaaah! Cute fellas even make that sounds like in Totoro. Very cute game, very simple but everything works as it should. For me the game would be more challenging if the end result was not how long you lasted, but to last until a certain time (so you can win! Or is that already in the game?)
This game is so addictive! It's a new take on the rubik's cube or match-3 games, I don't know, but you can play this forever. Oh, that crunchy sound! As a mobile developer, I highly approve of this game ;) Simple and effective! Great job, team :)
First of all, the game looks really cool! You shamelessly used different art styles and it works! The game has a 90s vibe for sure. In love with how you decorated the level. The only thing that was a little annoying was the music, but that's very subjective. And I really missed the impact of the sword strike on the enemies (audio and/or visual).
I see that many of ideas and questions have already been raised by other people, but I personally think the idea of the game is interesting and cool. I can see how it could be developed into something very fun and addictive. I would increase the hatching speed of the cheapest insects to speed up the early part of the game, which seems a bit boring. But I like that the whole process works! (the main thing is not to sell an insect when it's breeding, otherwise the book will break).
This game is so cool! What impressed me the most was the amount of hand-drawn stuff. UI is awesome! Also, everything has its own sounds and theyэre really cool, which makes the whole experience really fun.
Hah, I love how this guy just eats everything and everyone, a real connoisseur of variety here XD
Is this a bug tower defense? I'm impressed :) Seriously, the game is cool, the bugs are scary and cute (those bees in helmets won me over until my first wasp with a chainsaw scared me, WHERE DID IT GET THAT THING?). The game is a bit slow at the beginning, but that's almost always the case in this genre. Special plus for the amazing pixel art!
I always make action games, but my favorite games at jams are usually something like this one. Yeah, I'd like more objects, different jars, more stuff, but for a jam game this one is good and complete. It's cute and light. Relaxing.
The game is fun and very crazy. The design is simple, but everything works perfectly. I wish there were more levels! And I like the sounds, they're funny.
I feel sad every time a mouse gets caught in a mousetrap. I giggle every time a person explodes. Well :)
I don't know what I did wrong, but I wasn't always sure why things didn't work. The camera positioning is too static for me, and why does it appear in the field instead of the city? But I like the 3d style and the humor. The main menu made me smile and giggle. By the way, I was thinking that it would be cool to make a bad god simulator for this LD, so I glad that someone did it!
Actually, it's really fun! The first spider made me go aaaaaa, otherwise I won haha. About problems - a weapon often doesn't hit enemies, you have to change an angle of a blow and often die because of this. I would also really like some combat music! The art style is nice, I have a weakness for warrior mices, so a plus from me for the main character! The bugs are a little disgusting, you want to hit them, so that's good. And I hate blue ones! The worst!
Good entry!!
I was so shocked when the piranha shot itself in the head, I sat for about two minutes without moving haha. It's a pity that the game doesn't have a shot or hit sound, it would have given the action more impact! On a good side, I really liked how the game looks, amazing art, funny and catchy. The gameplay is simple and difficult at the same time. To collect five stars, you need good reaction :)
The concept of the game is very interesting, I don't think I would have ever thought of something like it :) Pieces of fabric seem cute and creepy at the same time. Is clothing with lots of eyes still cute or not? I don't know :) I think I would like pieces to somehow connect during process, but sticking them on top of each other is also very fun. The music turned off on one of the restarts, but otherwise the game works very well! Good job :)
Btw, agree with @loco - blue is green now :)
Very simple game, I think it will appeal to those who like monotonous cute games. Yes, these monsters are very cute, I like how they change colors over time :) I'm really interested if you're a mobile game developer, because the interface of this game is very mobile to me :) I think to be able to fully try this game at jam, it would be necessary to reduce the cost of upgrades.
Fun game, very cute cartoon graphics. And even some smooth camera movements in short scenes and menu, it's a plus. The car moves a little chaotically in my opinion, but it adds to the madness of what is happening. I think it's a great job!
Thank you @daniela! We really wanted this game to look nice.
@kaiynest thank you very much, your words means a lot to us! I'm really glad you liked it!
@nickhellquist thank you a lot! We tried to balance that routine by having the sun start to expand, but maybe it doesn't happen fast enough for a player to immediately feel challenged.
@nickhellquist nothing to apologize for, it's really cool to hear other people's opinions and suggestions on our game, thanks!
@pyshnyy thanks a lot! Yeah, you can hide the UI by right mouse button and look at the pretty planets, I changed the description to avoid misleading anyone anymore, it's good that you told me about this.
@pcho It's great that it was a challenge for you, but you managed it! Thank you :)
@stormburpee Thank you for such a detailed comment! We're learning from mistakes we made and already have ideas on how we could do something better. This will definitely help us in the future!
@oysterhey Thank you, glad you liked it! Yes, UI could be better, but that's what we had time for. We learned some good lessons for our future developments :)
@jesse-martin Yay, you saved the cat people from full destruction!
@larrymartinjr thanks! Yes, maybe we should've made a short tutorial, but we didn't have enough time for it. The main goal of the game is to collect resources (the required amount is listed above). About 3-5 minutes into the game, the sun will start to grow and destroy nearby planets. The cats must collect resources to fly away before their planet dies.
@kseniya thank you thank you! So happy to hear that you like it :)
@hilary-fischer Thank you very much for the detailed comment, I'm glad you liked our game and our cats :) We were choosing between original names and references, but in the end we left the references because we used them since prototype stage. As for the large interface - we're both mobile game developers and it shows! There's a habit of making everything large and maximally readable for small screens. Of course, now I understand that everything is simply gigantic lol
@martingonn thank you very much for such an amazing comment! I'm glad you saved all the cats :)
@leorid hey, thank you very much for your comment! Actually, there is a dedicated button to close the UI panels, a right mouse button, it is in the description, but you yourself admitted that you did not read it, so :) But this button is there! Yes, decorations of the UI are something we didn't have much time for, we wanted the game to work well first and foremost. Anyway, we're glad you liked it! The meowing creatures <3
@momotiktik thank you very very much! We're happy that you like our game :)
@lofipop ooooh cat-stronauts :3 Glad you liked it!
@exa thank you thank you!
@leorid oh, yeah, agree with that! We weren't too worried about it because we were focused on other aspects of development, to be honest. But still, agree :)
This is actually really cool and fun! I didn't expect your game to hook me so much, but I spent some time with it (I don't remember how long my longest melody was, but it was so hardcore!). Honestly, I think this game is really good, your concept works great, I didn't find any bugs (except BUGS, if you know what I mean hehe). I'm really glad I tried it, great job. I'm surprised you have so few ratings, good luck!
I finished the game and paid off my debt! Simple process, very cute monsters, good idea. I think the gameplay could be more diverse, BUT if it wasn't a jam game (especially Compo!). Everything works as it should and it's completely finished, that's cool. The only minus, the very beginning seems too slow, but as soon as you get the net, everything immediately becomes faster and more fun. And it lacked cute music, of course. Overall, good job!
Very cool game, really made me try a lot and not give up. I like the increase in difficulty with each level, but I didn't feel frustrated. Beautiful minimalism in art and very simple audio design. And I just love space! Really great job!
p.s. I also participated in the game about space, but there're space cats there :)
Spent SOME time in your game! It was very fun, although it became very monotonous after some time and I kind of killed myself. The game lacks balance and difficulty increase, otherwise it is great. I really liked the art style, especially all those monsters with skulls (I love skulls hehe). Also, while playing, I remembered the minions from the game Overlord! The music and sound work are on point.
Overall, I was happy to try this game, you guys are great!

I don't know what the hell is going on in this game, but it's pure concentrated madness! It really feels like a real Japanese show, at least! And it looks just great :) The gameplay itself is very simple, I just madly pressed the spacebar and until the very end I wasn't sure that I was doing everything right haha. The reverse runner is something absolutely weird.
Some of the easiest fives for humor, graphics and audio :)
I absolutely don't understand why this game has SO few ratings! It's very, VERY good. It is a full-fledged changing location with elements of metroidvania. The game has a mood and strong style. It does not over-explain itself, but it's easy to understand what to do. I can't even believe that you did this in three days, congratulations :) I sincerely think that this game deserves more attention! Great job!
p.s. Yeah, it's not a horror game imo, but I don't care about genres anyway
A very simple and fast game. The process is quite monotonous, but it made me think about Alien Shooter (very dear to my heart). Enemies sometimes get stuck in walls, and the green light does some very strange things. A special plus for the pompous menu!
p.s. By the way, what's that red bar in the upper left corner of a screen? Was that supposed to be a health or turret overheat indicator?
@lelek-hunor-kadosa thank you! One of them is my fluffy boy :)
Why does this game have so few ratings? I love it! So many locations and characters, lots of lines of text, humor (dust baths made me smile). Yes, this game is not action, but that's not the genre. I respect your attempt at creating a real full-fledged plot and the end twist. The only thing I would add is some extra scene at the end, but it's too much as it is!
The idea of the game itself is interesting, the execution is a bit strange, but I found it entertaining. Nice background music and very simple design. The level makes my head spin a bit, but that's good. I felt like I was in a liminal space.
And that reference with the white rabbit... now I wonder if it was in the Matrix too.
I could really like this game because it's my genre, but unfortunately it breaks at levels 3 or 4. A bot doesn't want to move forward when it holds a battery (and it doesn't want to drop it either). I really like the art style, as well as the music and sounds!
The controls are a bit wonky, but I got used to it after a couple of minutes! The world is a bit empty, but I really appreciate the procedural terrain generation, it's just a cool feature imo. This could be a good game if you add some simple tasks to it. The music is funny.
By the way, I played the web version and the main menu there is a bit... crazy XD
I really like the way this game looks, sounds and feels! The combination of visuals and sound gives a good sense of impact. And yes, everything looks very very cute and pretty! And what are those things? Are they maggots? Cute :) The downside for me is that arrows stubbornly fly past, even if you shot where you need to from the right distance, it doesn't happen often, but it is noticeable. A flight path is not always intuitive, but in general you quickly get used to it.
Overall - amazing job!
How did you come up with this idea? It's interesting and unusual! Besides the fact that bzzz is in my head, I really like the graphics, the post-apocalyptic atmosphere is felt very well. And thanks to those radioactive fireflies, I couldn't have done it without them!
I don't think I've figured out how to properly win this game, but I did well 3 out of 4 times, so :) I wish there were more different things and tasks in this game, but the idea itself is unique and I like it. I'll also note that it looks and sounds very nice!
Lovecraftian vibes are always a plus for me! This game is very short and simple, but has a deep atmosphere (the fisherman is just awesome, I love him). I wish this game was a little longer!
p.s. I don't know why, but this took SO long to load that I was almost ready to give up on trying.
Okay, that was quick but good. The moment when you first see the statue and the obelisk is very good! The sound that happens at that moment creates the right effect. What is that sound? Where have I heard it before... It reminds me a lot of the German series Dark. And a very good moment when you approach the door and you hear laughter from somewhere in the distance. I would play a bigger game like that! I can imagine such a maze.
The racing itself wasn't fun enough for me, but I really liked everything else about the game! First of all, everything is perfectly put together, the art style, the mechanics, everything just works. The menu is great, the descriptions made me smile and the mushrooms are just the best guys in the world.
A fall themed game? Give me two! It's very cute, pretty and well made. My favorite leaves are the orange ones, I like the sound and feel of tearing them off. This game could easily be expanded with some very simple puzzles, but this is not a jam request. Great job and good luck!
The fastest five for graphics and mood! The game is very beautiful, it's incredible that you made it for jam. The game seemed moderately difficult, but I liked the control of the humanoid form a little less. I would like some more detailed ending, for example, a picture or text that explains everything. In any case, great job!
I like the game, it's challenging. It may not be for everyone, but it's good for me. The art is cute, the music is appropriate, the firefly feels alive (in love with it's glow and golden shine!).
(Played the version 002) So, the art is just absolutely amazing, this game looks so cool, I couldn't pass by. The gameplay at first seems a bit unintuitive (even if you read the description and look at the hint), but by the second year I figured out what exactly to do. The idea of the game itself is unique. It's really cool that you did this! Thank you.
p.s. I wish there was some music
Oh, I love this! I was expecting a little more horror, but other than that it's great. PS1 imitation is very pleasing to the eye, the sound design is very well done. There were two minor problems throughout the game - I couldn't find the right place for the first battery part and I could only do it at a certain angle. And the last dialogue switched so quickly that I didn't have time to read everything. Otherwise, great job! I would play the same game, but on a bigger scale.
On the first try I got confused a lot, so I lost, but on the second I passed the level perfectly! I played on the website and the second location doesn't work, unfortunately. The game overall is pretty cool! I thought it would be a cooking simulator, but it turned out to be a waiter simulator. What a surprise! The art style is very cute and I like the background jazz, it creates a perfect mood in our frog cafe. I would add more sounds and some way to understand in what order the orders were taken. And a big extra plus for the tutorial!
@thefruckets the level appears on the screen, a blue cafe with fish sticking out of the window, but nothing happens.
@ricoshade thanks for telling me that! I'll play your game again :)
I think the game is very cute and all the main features work well! I found that I could run faster quite late and after that the game became more fun. And I like your choice of art style ;)
Ratony, she doesn't deserve you after all these trials (cat's paw is very scary and dangerous, actually!). The game is small, but funny. The jump feels a little weird, especially when colliding with objects, but I got to the end of the game quickly anyway. I really like the hand-drawn art style, a big plus from me! Nice entry :)
So this is a game about dogs eating cat poop to death? I don't even know if that's funny or sad lol. The visuals are cute and the music sounds very familiar. Is this Fable? Mechanically the game doesn't always work well, I think it's something with the sprite sizes. But I appreciate that you made it have a logical ending and it feels complete.
I'm not a big fan of visual novels, but this game is very beautiful, warm and pleasant. Feels like hot pastries or tea with honey. Technically everything works great, in terms of the plot everything is simple. A simple short story, nothing more. Good job and stay safe!
This game is something else! A mix of madness, humor and cuteness. It's bad and good at the same time. A special plus for the menu (music and stars of my favourite shape) and the whole art style! I would add some tutorial or hints.
This game is so cute! First of all, I really want to mention the sound effects, it's really cool. I like the art style too, I also love when planes are used in game design (I have a very strange passion, I know!). Hints right on the floor during the game - a great choice! And all these ducklings are so different, strange and cute, ah. Great job!
I think this has been said many times, but I have absolutely no idea if the counter is working. I'm doing everything right, but it's just going down. Maybe I'm doing things too slowly, I don't know. Plus, random boiler activations happen quite often. Now for the good stuff! The art design is just beautiful, everything looks great, I love it. The sound work is very nice. I could play a game with this type of visuals anytime. Keep up the good work.
@pimping it's a matter of experience, he'll definitely fully succeed next time!
I couldn't figure out why I couldn't turn around with a mouse, I thought something was broken, and then it turned out that the rotation only works with a gamepad hah. You see, I really wanted to try this! First of all, the game looks absolutely amazing, I really like this style and for some reason I love when some things are made as a plane that is always turned towards a player. Cute story, cute bugs. The gameplay is a bit chaotic, but that's how it should be in a cooking simulator IMO. The only negative for me is that the sensitivity of the camera rotation is too high (maybe it's just me?)
@splittheatom Later I found out that it was my technical problem, my graphic tablet somehow conflicts with the mouse control, I partially solved this problem for now. So don't worry about your game!
It's creepy, cute and halloweeny! Love it :) The game stubbornly kept getting stuck on the borders of locations, but in the end I beat it. I wish the story was a little longer, of course, but otherwise everything is great. Cool pixel art, a little humor, October theme. Old but gold joke from the bat lol. Anyway, good entry :)
I don't know why, but the controls don't work for me, unfortunately. I have an Xbox One controller, a classic one. I rebooted the computer just in case, but it didn't help. Any advice?
Love the menu music tho ;)
Why does this game have so few ratings and comments? I think it's very interesting and cool! It has everything: cute art, cool music and sounds, unusual mechanics, great implementation of an unconventional idea. I think such a game can be suitable for children and people learning English. Great job!
Guys! We need a version where the cutting works! I really want to play this cute game. Maybe a non-web version would be more stable? I really like the idea, I was waiting for someone to make a Ratatouille game! The music and art are great, I also have a weakness for timed cooking simulators, so I will wait for the update :)
I think many people have the same problem that after the labyrinth nothing happens. Maybe it shouldn't and that's all you managed to finish? Anyway, I really appreciate your work, it's impossible not to notice the amount of hand-drawn art. And the teenage angst in this story is great!
I found the game very beautiful and atmospheric. This is largely due to the excellent work with the sounds! Excellent ambient soundtrack. I don't agree with others that it is too dark, I think that it should be like this, but I would like that when a light turned on, there was a little more of it and, for example, the nearest bugs would disappear. Minuses - every time I lost, the game started from the very beginning and showed me the entire slow flight of the camera. I understand that this is just a jam game, but watching the same thing every time was a little boring.
@frostbeak don't worry about it that much, I still like your game a lot :)
Damn, I really like this game, it reminds me of some very niche simple projects that I really like to replay from time to time. The art style is very much to my taste and short conversations with others do not have time to tire, as the game is already over. And you included a whole guitar playing game inside! It's impressive. My addition - I would like to see something at the very end, some short scene or picture, maybe a camera zoom in on the guys when they are sitting together. Something like that. Anyway, great entry!
The game looks very very nice. I like the moving backgrounds and the overall style. My impressions of the gameplay are mixed. On the one hand, I like the idea and I really wanted to move further and further every time. On the other hand, I really missed some kind of visual and sound impact from hitting enemies and my own injuries. It's very easy to miss the moment when you're on the verge of death, because you didn't have time to look at how many hearts you lost, and you had no other indicators. But the overall impression of the game is good! Good job!
I spent so much time losing until I realized that you need to choose everything very quickly. That's when I understood this game! I really really liked it, it's fun to play, the art is pleasing to my eyes, all cats are cute (especially wizards whoosh!). But in fact, this is the first high score for innovation that I give on this LD! Good job team!
The game has really impressive visuals, very funny voice acting, AI works well. Characters are different, each does their own thing (and constantly tries to kill you lol), the intended mechanics seem to work as they should. For LD this game is very awesome in my opinion. On the other hand, I think this game is a bit not for me. Too much chaos, too little control. But I understand that this can be a big plus for another player. I still got some pleasure from it! Good entry :)
The mechanics of the game are very simple, nothing interesting, it just works and that is more than enough for a jam sometimes. Visually and in terms of sound, the game is simply amazing! I am in awe. I was very pleased to see and hear it. It is a pity that the sounds of the bugs do not move away or approach, but this is additional work, I understand. My bow to the artist, you have created a visual candy for my eyes. Keep up the good work!
I didn't think I would like this game, but I REALLY liked it! I like things that are simple, but everything works as it should. And even the fact that the graphics are minimal doesn't prevent me from enjoying the game. I went to the final boss and won and got a lot of satisfaction from the process, thank you!
@nickhellquist omg, can't imagine combining a jam with a full-time job! You're awesome!
Really want to play this one! Give us some exe, guys :) I'll be back and rate it later
