I like the retro feel and look it has, reminds me of a dark room in some ways.

@palemek Thank you for the kind words. Haha! There was no N in that sentence.

ancient-pixel 2019-10-10 06:15

@nocity Oh I know what you mean, if you know what I mean!

ancient-pixel 2019-10-10 06:16

@ladypossum My mom didnt want to play it because of the swearing, but thx mom! :)

porocyonak 2019-10-10 07:12

neat game! was fun reading the dialogue

diptoman 2019-10-10 08:03

I would've liked some more content in it, but understandably it's a jam game. The simple aesthetic worked for the game, and it was pretty neat otherwise. Good job!

dane-tesla 2019-10-10 23:22

Oh my, I love how simply and succesfully the characters were created (if you know what I mean). A really nice game, I enjoyed it a lot <3 Really good writing and the simple graphics was perfect, giving a bit of retro vibe. Love it!

ancient-pixel 2019-10-11 06:57

@diptoman Thank you! I am already working on a second mission and a Dabbo minigame. So with a little bit of luck, this game will be my next main project! Be sure to follow it on itch.io to get updates :)

ancient-pixel 2019-10-11 06:59

@dane-tesla Thx alot! You know, back in the old days, we wouldnt have something to write on and for playing we used sticks and stones. But sometimes someone of us got urt that way, so we sat around the settlements campfire and told each others stories. Boy could we tell stories...

toxiccomputer 2019-10-11 22:17

Loved the mood and unique graphics choice, good job. :)

I cant really say I understood what my goal in the game was but I liked the writing of the game. Also I cant tell if all the L's being replaced by N's was a bug or not. Also I think the game looked great.

I'm so far from Star Trek, my mom watched it a lot when I was a kid, so my knowledge is very sketchy. But even that was enough to understand the types of characters you created here. And they're funny enough! I like this super simple mechanic and interface, like playing an old text game. For my taste it's a good stylistic choice. And yes, there're a lot of just funny games, but you have a pure verbal comedy here, that's a plus. What I miss is background music and sounds.

greendinogames 2019-10-14 21:12

Nice game :D I liked the story

smitto 2019-10-16 02:48

Really liked the minimal presentation here, and all the dialogue with Mr "If you know what I mean". Spelling caused some confusion at points but I understand that happens when pushing something out in so little time. Keep it up!

whiteseraph 2019-10-16 15:30

Honestly the game was confusing for me, I'm not sure if you were making a lot of spelling mistakes or if it's a "part" of the game, but either way it was just making things harder for me.

oddballdave 2019-10-23 10:23

Interesting idea, and presented really well. It seemed to meander a lot, so I couldn't really tell if I was making progress, and eventually I lost interest in the story. I think something as simple as changing text colours when different people were speaking would have helped a lot. Having said all that I did play for quite a while.

Good stuff :8ball:

sumathbrod 2019-10-23 10:46

Very interesting project! Good story and the way it is told.
