LD59 — Signal

Signal Garden by KenForest 2026-04-21T16:55:56Z

Great game! The visuals are top-notch as always from you! First-person incremental games are going to be a big trend this year, so I’d definitely consider making a similar project for Steam. Too bad I’m not smart enough to set up the plants properly and reach 1 million signals.

Inattentive cashier by YugiMuto 2026-04-21T18:45:59Z

I was only able to beat the game because of a bug - I won’t spoil which one. Playing it properly, I couldn’t even get through the first level. Still, I’d appreciate a guide - maybe I’m missing something.

But the coolest thing about this game is that it’s one of the very few second-person games. Truly a piece of genius ahead of its time.

Signal of Honor by Cahard 2026-04-21T17:28:26Z

The game turned out very hardcore 🙂

At first I kept dying and couldn’t understand why. Then I realized I was stepping on mines. The best strategy ended up being to just rush straight through, because otherwise my skill isn’t enough. I did manage to reach the tower in the end.

PING! ATTACK! RUN! by Kirill Balak 2026-04-21T17:47:06Z

This was my first time playing a game made in PICO-8. Lately, I’ve been hearing a lot that developing games on this platform is a great way to improve your design skills, because its minimalism makes you stop thinking about unnecessary bells and whistles and focus on the core experience.

I liked the minimalism in both the visuals and the audio. I also liked how, during movement, it feels like the environment is moving instead of the player - it gives off a certain retro vibe. As for the progression system, I’m not sure I fully understood how it works. It felt like the game wasn’t really challenging even without upgrades.

Signature Zero by red-horde-games 2026-04-21T16:19:00Z

Turned out really great. I’m not usually a fan of UI-heavy games, but this one hooked me. I kept wanting to see what device or upgrade would unlock next, that curiosity really drives the experience. It manages to stay tense and engaging even though, on paper, it’s just 2D ships flying from top to bottom.

Replaying levels from the start felt a bit tedious at times, especially the last one. It broke the flow a little. And I feel like the game could really benefit from more sound design, it would add a lot to the overall feel.

But overall, it’s a very engaging and well-made experience.

Soul Beat by semenov 2026-04-21T20:11:45Z

Great concept and visuals. The idea of tying the dissipation of darkness to the heartbeat is excellent. I couldn’t finish the game because the enemy hitboxes are ruthless. Oh, and the trail left by the player, referencing an electrocardiogram line, is a really nice touch.

LD: Lighthouse Defence by Melomaner 2026-04-21T20:36:18Z

The tower defense feels really good to play (except for the UI panels that constantly need to be closed in a non-obvious way). I’d like to reach the end, but I’ve already tried twice and my best is wave 6, after which the difficulty curve spikes sharply and I get overwhelmed. Also, it’s often hard to see when enemies are attacking the beacon because of the 3D camera.

UPD: I decided to give it another try, and I’m happy to report that the difficulty is actually fine. I just didn’t understand the mechanic for preventing the big wave at the beginning (where you need to quickly enter the code). Once I figured it out, everything became pretty easy. The last wave got shredded in about 5 seconds 🙂

Mech and Signals by rnk 2026-04-22T09:00:39Z

mech.png It wasn’t easy, but I managed to destroy all 8 targets. And I want to say it was really good. Yes, the controls are not very intuitive, and there’s quite a lot of shaking while walking. But the fantasy of controlling a huge mech with an equally massive cannon is very cool. There’s a certain satisfaction in the process of aiming at targets. It feels like PVKK in motion. I think if the idea is developed further, it could turn into a solid project. And judging by the insane number of wishlists for PVKK, there is definitely an audience for this.

SIGNUM by fkjaha 2026-04-21T15:11:32Z

This is a great game. I really enjoyed playing it. First, the visual style and atmosphere are excellent. The graphics look awesome and there is so much content for such a short time! Second, the progression and upgrades are really good. I felt a bit bad killing the bugs, but survival comes first, so I committed bug genocide for the sake of staying alive. The beginning and the end of the progression are done beautifully. The middle part feels a bit slower to me, progression drags a little and I wanted it to move faster. But that’s minor. Overall the game is great. I recommend it to everyone!

LD44 — Your life is currency

Bloodletter by shp 2019-05-01T04:19:50Z

I started play on hard mode and died very fast because it was too much enemies in level and their projeciles pass through another enemies. I switched mode to normal and nothing changed. Then I pulled my self together and coped with it. The game is very addictive. Moving is excelent smooth, shooting is very nive. Graphics and idea are good too. I often forgotten that I can slow time and I passed levels without this feature. Nice entry!

LD55 — Summoning

The Summoners Path by Ylaxus 2024-04-16T12:16:32Z

Jumping on the swords is pretty challenging. Jumping on the swords and trying to get new swords is almost impossible for me.

Anyway, nice idea and very well implemented. Congratulations on the completion of the jam! Good job!

Ramen: Beyond Two Balls by Emty 2024-04-16T12:01:54Z

monster.png I thought it will be great battle, but the cat was so coward, lol)

Very nice action with a little strange but nice and cool game mechanics. Music is very dynamic and forced to play fast, but it would be awesome to have sound effects too.

With your cinematic I laughed my heart out! Thanks!

Congratulations on the completion of the jam! Good job!

Run Till Dawn by Jacob Diaz 2024-04-16T19:26:23Z

Very fun run game. Like everybody already said visual style is stunning. I really like retro-style looking game, and your entry is the best example of this art style in thus Ludum Dare so far.

On my first attempt I entered the phrase that was too long and I immediately regret it =) But then I started with short one and it was awesome

Church of Pain by ThorPalsson 2024-04-16T20:51:41Z

Untitled-1.png It is illegal to make so awesome visual style on the jam. Very nice atmosphere

Get Away Your Pitchforks from My Oak! by Hammerer 2024-04-16T10:19:37Z

Very nice tower defense game with an interesting summoning mechanic. So cool that your game has a progression and so many creatures to summon. Art style is bright and attractive.

I unlocked demons and then played another few days, but nothing more unlocked. So I thought this is the end) Let me know if it is not. Maybe I missed something.

I guess the best tactic to survive is just run around the tree and summon creatures non stop =) It would be cool to have a little more balance, but I understand how hard it is to calculate and customize balance in such a short time.

Anyway, it's a very cool game. Congratulations on the completion of the jam!

Afterlife Taxi by TimBeaudet 2024-04-16T19:32:46Z

Very well-written story. I like this version of Haron who works in Uber =)

The Deep Madness by Sargonius 2024-04-16T11:23:12Z

When I played for the first time I didn’t read the tutorial carefully and then didn’t understand how to refuel the raft. But the second time I managed it and reached the boss.

I really like that the game has an upgrade and progression.

Art style is awesome. Mood is deep and gorgeous. Fish are very angry) very cool game. Congratulations on the completion of the jam! Good job!

The Wickedness by IRoRoI 2024-04-16T19:47:22Z

Wow, I can't belive someone can manage to complete so nice game during the jam. It has inscryption vibe (in a good way) and a lot of intersting game mechanics. I think that the game has a lot of potential if you will continue to develop it after the jam. Very very good job!

LuciFare by Aaron Hart 2024-04-16T16:02:11Z

This game mechanic reminded me of Hellidivers 2. There, too, you have to press the right combination of keys to summon reinforcements.

I liked the concept and the visual style. The audio effects are missing, but overall great implementation.

Congratulations on the completion of the jam! Good job!

"В лесу" самая атмосферная игра этого джема

The Shadow Realm Saga by EvilScotsman 2024-04-16T11:46:00Z

It is so satisfying to shoot in your game!

Despite the fact the game is pretty small, it polished very well. Player controller is smooth and responsive, particles and sound effects are very good, and the art style is just impressive for that short time.

I really would like to see the future updates with weapon upgrades and other progressions. Congratulations on the completion of the jam! Good job!

I love games in this kind of genre! And I enjoyed your game. The boss battle at the end is a cool idea.

Creature Packets by KenForest 2024-10-08T19:00:59Z

I can't even believe someone can make such a great game in such a short time!

The graphics are beyond praise, the amount of interactive elements and mechanics just blows my mind!

Very cool!

Goo Patrol by Mateu 2024-10-09T08:33:34Z

A calm, enjoyable game. Objects sometimes block the view, but otherwise everything is done at a good level.

VERMIN Tiny Creatures by Kevin Meissner 2024-10-08T16:48:16Z

Your game is very similar to mine, only I have cubic minimalism and you have AAA =) Cool graphics and a nice rat controller. It's easy to get lost in the sewers)

There's no place for us by Dinorex 2024-10-08T10:34:22Z

The cats save the world) I like it. It looks great and an atmosphere is pretty decent. I got the Outer Wilds' vibes. Every planet has uniqe name and description.

I played twice but never reached the end, cause it seems to long to gather all resources. I think the upgrades and progression will feet well for this game, but I understand how hard it to develop those systems in this short period.

Awsome entry, good job! Congratulations!

Tiny Creatures - Lost Kittens by ybzpp 2024-10-08T22:29:40Z

A very cool and elaborate game for such a small amount of time. The feeling of dreaming and unreality of what is happening is very cool.

DRONE BRIGADE by Gaalsien 2024-10-08T18:12:19Z

I didn't figure out what to do the first time (really, who reads descriptions, right? =)). But when I did, I was hooked for a long time. The best game of this Ludum Dare, so far)

Cheddar or Dead: The Purrfect Nightmare by nishchiretvasily 2024-10-08T21:08:26Z

It's a great horror game. I think it's a great theme that could be developed into a full game on Steam.

Yuri Seller by AlexTagtal 2024-10-08T20:39:45Z

Awesome vehicle controls and a slightly awkward camera. Loved the mini game for resource extraction.

Gnome of War: Insects' Pantheon by Sapojkov Serghei 2024-10-08T18:29:47Z

Why does this world need Vampire Survivors when it already has Gnome of War: Insects' Pantheon? The gameplay is not for casual players, but I managed).

Slime Store Simulator 2024 by gamesplusjames 2024-10-09T08:29:31Z
