I can't even believe someone can make such a great game in such a short time!

The graphics are beyond praise, the amount of interactive elements and mechanics just blows my mind!

Very cool!

This is the best game I have played so far. Think I'm bugged though as I've only got 1 option in the vending machine for the first job (microworms). Maybe I've missed something but I'm gonna give this another go. Really amazing visuals and dystopian vibes!

WOW. 10/10. Make more.

poboy 2024-10-09 21:39

GORGEOUS game, really captures the atmosphere of being a down-on-your-luck lab rat. Would be interested to hear about your process

galaxybat 2024-10-09 21:58

Amazing. I wonder what would happen if you could microwave the goose packet..

foursay 2024-10-10 01:06

The mood, vibe, and graphics are top tier! I’m really curious if there are other possible endings besides just leaving and ending up with creature-packet-phobia, haha. It’d be so cool if you could experiment with making your own recipes for even creepier creatures. I’d love to see the game explore that direction, it’d definitely add another layer of fun. Amazing job overall!

Just Fantastic!

I keep getting back every ludum to see what you are up to ^^ Nice job as always, loved the goose.

The graphics are top notch, I like the way you approach the atmosphere, despite the theme being close to more cutesy games, you chose horror and made it beautifully! thanks for the emotion :)

fusionnist 2024-10-12 12:18

That's really good! The presentation is really nice, I'm a sucker for the combo of packets, dark room and overall art direction for the environment ;) Not too sure if I can say much about gameplay though - I can see how it might get interesting, in a management or puzzle situation, but hey, combining is always fun on its own. Good job!

madbarron 2024-10-12 18:49

Very cool! Nailed the mood. This could certainly be the bones for a full release if you could build some more puzzle and mystery elements into it. Great job!

Great graphics and art style! And the overall mood and quality is unparalleled as a game jam game! Gameplay-wise feel like this is a great foundation for a weird, unique puzzle game but that's a much bigger scale than a game jam submission. Great stuff!

Chat how do i explain it to my boss...

also OMG YOU ARE THE LIDAR.EXE GUY!! I AM. SUCH A FAN. ahem, sorry-

Anyways, i found it on itch, and, well, i thought it had like 300 ratings at least! like, wOW this is so good! I wouldnt be suprized if you won, actually

I looked in itch comments and it seems like this one already has some letsplays and a lot of comments, which is very deserved! (damn, you are famous..)

This was very fun and cool and kinda scary and really well done! Especially by one person!!!!! The graphics are awesome, it all feels stylized and cohesive, mood is nailed, the recepies are good and well implemented in the enviroment, the blendering parts always made me chuckle when i thoughed of myself as an evil scientist Squishing bugs and my mistakes felt so silly, microwawing them like popcorn is a genious idea-

Skipping to conclusions, love love love this one very much, well done, dude! Certainly will play it if you decide to make it into a full game (: (before i saw tarantula i thought we will end with a human, lol, soooo potencial for expanding? (: )

adrien-tremblay 2024-10-13 20:20

The graphics and mood are SOOOOOO fucking good. Holy shit

forik 2024-10-14 00:59

Awesome mood and I like how you convert the "alchemist" gameplay! Its really great work!

prolich 2024-10-14 09:19

Probably the best looking game of all for this jam, visuals definitely did the job for me. Great mood and the idea to fit the theme as well, amazing work!

awootis 2024-10-14 17:32

i never cook insects before so 100/10 much taste :curry:

ejmejm 2024-10-15 01:15

This game is absolutely diabolical... and I love it. Love how the recipes are posted around the room, and the tutorial tells you just enough to let you figure the rest out for yourself.

quinn 2024-10-16 03:24

Game looked appetizing but both files crashed on hitting play for me.

mateusboga 2024-10-18 21:39

Interesting take on the theme! Sometimes the packets would get stuck inside the floor or under the vending machine which was annoying. Just wish the game had a little more to do other than simply following instructions, some kind of choice maybe, but I get you didn't have a lot of time. The whole game atmosphere had some kind of half life or stanley parable feel to it I can't explain, which is very cool. Great work nonetheless!

lelulagames 2024-10-21 00:50

The mood is so creepy. I was just waiting to see if something terrible happened, I even lost on purpose just to see what happened. I think this just needs a little polish, like maybe voice lines, to make it a full game. Still... it's marvelous as is. I intend to go back later and finish it.

corrupt-spaghetti 2024-10-22 18:15

Very unique idea! I'd love to see what exists outside the door. I had a bit of trouble figuring out why the microwave wouldn't cook packets when the bug tank was full. Some kind of tooltip may be helpful for that. Overall a really impressive game, especially the graphics and atmosphere.

holysparks 2024-10-22 19:40

Atmosphere and graphics are amazing. The game works well and smooth too, just think it needs a bit more of punch or twist on gameplay.

plasmak 2024-10-24 14:28

Love the idea, atmosphere and graphics! Glad that Itch.io recommended this to me—it's the best LD56 jam game I've played so far!

cortez 2024-10-25 16:02

Great game, I actually could see it evolve in one of those game with a twist story with choice like Paper Please and such. Good job!
