LD44 — Your life is currency

dRUNKEN nEIGHBOR by HugoVaz 2019-04-30T05:40:55Z

You might want to change the download to make it easier to play

BOB by Phyro 2019-04-30T02:44:02Z

The opening song is absolutely bomb

Wagawoa by amymist 2019-04-30T05:00:30Z

Wow, haven't seen anything like this on Ludum Dare, great work, especially great artwork, wish I could draw like that.

Bacterial by zampi 2019-04-30T04:42:43Z

Really beautiful visuals, and the background track gives nice ambiance chill vibes

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T05:30:12Z

@klekky Glad to hear you enjoyed it! The blue wisps are definitely tough. They're mechanics are actually a bit off what originally intended, but I opted out of fixing it because it would have ended up too hard I think haha.

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T05:31:24Z

@jiink Thank you! I definitely will be doing more, I really had a great time. Next time I would love to get a group together that can cover for my deficiencies in art and sound design.

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T05:33:47Z

@shaolin-dave Thanks for the review! Looking back, I definitely do think it should be a little lighter. Someone gave a great idea of having an upgrade for your light, but it was too late to implement by that point. The grappling hook definitely was a bit wonky, wish I had had a little more time to work with it, but getting just the base logic for it turned out to be quite the challenge.

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T05:34:03Z

@goatboatgames Thanks! Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T05:35:49Z

@superpokeunicorn Thanks for the feedback! I was considering putting it on right click, but I think my previous experience playing Terraria (which has a grappling hook bound to E), ended up biasing me a bit. Next time if time permits I'll add options for those things.

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T06:15:45Z

@zampi Really glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T06:17:11Z

@nayaki-anandan It was my first time putting my hand at music and art, so I'm happy to hear that they were anything but awful lol. The grappling hook could certainly use some fine tuning, but I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T06:17:39Z

@dennis-jeong lmao, I probably should have made that more clear. Thanks for playing!

Elthus by ejmejm 2019-04-30T06:24:18Z

@vertuga32 Yeah, I actually softened the sound of the shot quite I bit from the initial bit I had, still overkill though.

goldenpixel by klekky 2019-04-30T04:28:52Z

Really great style, and fun gameplay. I really loved the overall feel!

99 Days To Earth by Shaolin Dave 2019-04-30T04:36:44Z

Cute art style, particularly liked the alien space ship.

Die Back by NikolayKuznetsov 2019-04-30T02:35:03Z

Absolutely love the style, the game looks gorgeous

Pig Web Tower Defense by Kevin Palani 2019-04-30T01:50:41Z

Like the idea of having to get just the right amount of enemies get through

Spirits of the Unknown by TheSomeoneXD 2019-04-30T05:51:12Z

First came when the link wasn't working, but came back and glad I did. Really great environment, enjoyed the Ludum Dare jokes maybe a little too much.

Whipout by Armadillq 2019-04-30T03:56:20Z

Hard but addicting

Paid in Blood by Scott Steffes 2019-04-30T07:00:39Z

Loved the art for the Gods!

Life Force by SamuelDeboni 2019-04-30T04:32:55Z

Good level of difficulty. Maybe it's just me, but I got a vague feeling of Robotron when I played.

Penny Arcane by SamStallion 2019-04-30T05:55:35Z

OMG THAT SOUNDTRACK

Death. Mame. Gun. Kill. by edshotmachine 2019-04-30T04:13:55Z

This game was a lot of fun, and just at the right difficulty. Made it to level 4. I think the game is really most fun with the knife.

Life Delivery Service by Gorrion 2019-04-30T05:38:52Z

Simple and fun, enjoyed the driving mechanics.

Temerarious by SynysterCola 2019-04-30T05:26:35Z

That's an insane amount of content you packed into just 72 hours of development! First time playing an RPG Maker game. Enjoyed it!

Blood Quest by shaner421 2019-04-30T05:13:21Z

Enjoyed it, one of the more fun games this Jam IMO. Reminds me of Titan Souls (maybe that's what it was based off of?)

The Boxer's Pact: Fausts of Fury by ScalphaMission 2019-04-30T05:58:35Z

Enjoyed the game, nice variation of skills. Simple but effective fights.

Aniu on the mountain by belug23 2019-04-30T06:06:25Z

Interesting take on the theme!

Rogue Money by ayama 2019-04-30T06:52:25Z

Coin management is an interesting mechanic.

Time City by zhaojun8443 2019-04-30T04:26:39Z

Pretty novel use of the theme. Can't remember the name, but reminds me of a flash game I used to play all the time as a kid.

The Aging Soul by bigwhiteshogun 2019-04-30T04:19:44Z

One of the few great uses of the theme, very creative.

mister penny by humfuzz 2019-04-30T05:07:10Z

10/10 graphics

Gaia Hero by DigitalWizard 2019-04-30T06:13:43Z

I was a little confused at first, but once I figured it out, it was a good mix of fun, challenging, and interesting.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Cradle of Chaos by ekun 2024-10-15T00:29:00Z

I saved 13. Love the pixel physics, and while the walking is super janky, there is still something that I like about the walking physics. It's very unique. I don't know what exactly this game would become, but it feels like this would be a great template to expand from.

Dungeon Crawlers by Skyeward 2024-10-15T00:22:50Z

Loved the shader and overall graphics. Was very fun, but could use a little balancing. The slug was OP! I did have the problem of quickly running out of PP with no way to recover it (I imagine I just didn't find the right item).

Shiba Idle by ejmejm 2024-10-17T03:43:19Z

@paul-maxime Thanks for the tip on the thread support, gonna try that and see if it fixes the problem

Build The Sun by TRASEVOL_DOG 2024-10-15T01:03:04Z

Very nice and relaxing. I got up to the iron fire before I stopped, but I had a lot of fun. Absolutely love the art style and general vibes. I'm very curious how you got the walk animation working, whether is was hand drawn or programmed. No clue how you finished this in 72 hours lol

PinPalBall by CodeChomper 2024-10-15T00:39:58Z

Had fun, it's hard not to with pinball. Got up to ~2000 score. It seems like the game goes on forever so I stopped after that. I did have a 4 in-a-row streak of going straight from a new ball to the gutter without a chance to hit the ball. I wonder if that has to do with how the layout is designed or if I was just unlucky. Would be cool to add a set number of lives so you can compare scores with others.

Goofhood by PxGluz 2024-10-07T23:46:48Z

Took me a second to realize I could rearrange priorities. After that it was smooth sailing. I love the 2D characters and their walking animations, they're cute lol

SolarFactory by LarrySeinfeld 2024-10-14T23:02:39Z

Made me think a lot, loved the idea and a lot of fun! Loved Herman.

Flea Patrol by Sviborg 2024-10-07T23:55:36Z

Love the hand drawn art. The stacking mechanics are also fun. I love how you can climb straight up the side of walls and sometimes cling to the ceiling if you tap space fast enough. Not sure if that was an intended mechanic, but overall fun!

Moon Picnic by Fractal 2024-10-14T22:41:34Z

This game caught me off guard with how good it was. The difficult was scaled just perfect so that I had just enough time to learn the basic mechanics before being faced with a real challenge. The art style, music, and UI also all come together to form a very coherent vibe. It all feels like it belongs together, not like it was thrown together in a few days for a game jam.

Creature Packets by KenForest 2024-10-15T01:15:03Z

This game is absolutely diabolical... and I love it. Love how the recipes are posted around the room, and the tutorial tells you just enough to let you figure the rest out for yourself.

Jurassic Justice: Miniature Mayhem by Mogmi 2024-10-15T03:18:25Z

When I saw the tiny creatures theme I thought everyone would go for something where you are controlling a bunch of tiny creatures because who doesn't want to have hundreds of tiny creatures under your control. Surprisingly, this is the first one I've seen other than my own game. Love how it progressively zooms out as the scale of the horde grows.

Kat Kicker by Agent__Maxwell 2024-10-14T22:23:35Z

A funny concept and great 2D artwork. Ran into a bug where I froze after jumping on the trampoline.

Gnomageddon by Shasaur 2024-10-15T00:32:52Z

The sound effects lmao. Simple but fun. I ramped up gnome production and economy early before dumping into stats.

Run Ant Run by johnoyo 2024-10-14T23:17:20Z

Got up to 5530. A classic formula, but its a classic that is very fun.

Micro Wars by Zyppi 2024-10-08T00:16:49Z

My favorite game so far! I maxed out movement speed, shooting speed, and eating speed before I died. The soft body physics for eating and over vibes looking through the microscope were all great touches.

A couple things that could have been better: - The game auto fullscreened on my second monitor and I couldn't move it - I would have liked to shoot by just holding down the click button even before maxing out shooting, as 2 levels of shooting was pretty tiring on my finger.

The shoemakers tiny helper by RallusGames 2024-10-14T22:47:57Z

Very cute, loved the art and visual story telling. I think the game would have been a bit more fun if there was a way to fail, perhaps either with a time limit, a penalty for giving the wrong type of shoes, or both.
