Great story!

thesomeonexd 2019-04-30 03:41

Neat RPGmaker game! Got lost in the cave so I gave up, but there's so much charm in it. Loving the story and the NPCs in the village.

listonos 2019-04-30 04:04

Didn't get that far but there seem to be a lot of content to go through, part of it is of course courtesy of RPG maker but still I almost forgot it's a LD game :) More combat and go crazy with the life mechanic would be my feedback.

torculus 2019-04-30 04:09

Honestly very satisfying combat system. Audio is great, as are the visuals. Story is interesting, really wonderful job!

mrpiedpiper 2019-04-30 05:03

Great job on this! I went all the way through, and it was a great experience. Loved the music going into battle, and that pun at the end is great XP

ejmejm 2019-04-30 05:26

That's an insane amount of content you packed into just 72 hours of development! First time playing an RPG Maker game. Enjoyed it!

ryan-westby 2019-04-30 05:43

Loved the FFX-style combat system. Seemed like there was a lot of content here, nice job!

rakowu 2019-04-30 06:00

Great fight system and art style. Like the intro :D

justuspan 2019-04-30 06:10

RPG feeling in memory~

tero-pulkkinen 2019-04-30 06:34

music is so nice an rpg style battles are nicely implemented

synystercola 2019-04-30 15:33

Thanks for the feedback so far everyone!

@jedineeson Thank you! I sort of made it up as I designed the game xD

@thesomeonexd - Sorry you got lost in the cave! I considered adding a minimap to the game, but decided to finish everything else up. The conversation in the cave had a subtle hint on how to make it through!

@listonos Thanks! Using RPG Maker allowed me to really flesh out the game. I considered another boss battle and a few other classes/mechanics around life energy, but sadly I ran out of time.

@torculus Appreciate the feedback! I wanted to make the combat challenging but still fun.

@mrpiedpiper Thanks for playing it all the way! The music was out of the box so I couldn't have audio voted on. Glad you liked that pun :)

@ejmejm Hahaha I was honestly worried it wasn't enough content! But I was able to get so much done because of RPG Maker.

@ryan-westby Thank you! FFX is probably tied with Octopath Traveler for favorite battle system!

@rakowu Thank you! I wanted to make sure the intro was cool!

@justuspan Thanks!

synystercola 2019-04-30 15:37

@tero-pulkkinen Thanks! I really wanted to make sure the battle system was fun to play with! :)

jedineeson 2019-04-30 15:44

@synystercola It's a pleasure! Come see our game I would realy like to get your comments my friend.

adrian0901 2019-04-30 16:51

You really wanted me to treat this like another shitty RPG Maker game by using those overused assets, you know? Thank me I actually played the thing and watched it streamed and I found that it has some nice mechanics and really nice story. This would really be better with some custom assets!

synystercola 2019-04-30 17:02

@adrian0901 No seriously, thank you for playing! I know next time to make time to make some custom assets! :)

patrenaud 2019-04-30 20:19

Having a video of the timelapse for the creation is really nice!! Good job!

synystercola 2019-04-30 20:24

@patrenaud Thanks! It seemed like it was a common practice to have timelapse videos. It's pretty neat to rewatch the work I did. I can even pinpoint the times I was freaking out or cursing up a storm.

ghostgoatsgames 2019-05-01 03:58

Really nice job. Probably the best rpg maker LD game ive seen in a while. I can really tell you put a ton of effort into it.

vertuga32 2019-05-01 09:15

Honestly, I do not like RPG-maker games. They are all the same.

In general, very high quality made.

mrstari 2019-05-01 13:06

i love this! its awesome

synystercola 2019-05-01 23:43

@ghostgoatsgames Thanks for the kind words! :) @vertuga32 Thanks! I know now to try and include custom assets to try and mix things up. @mrstari Thank you so much! :)

cubicode 2019-05-06 06:34

Very nicely done. I really like it even if this are not the games I ame used to play.

Great work, I sureley will return to play this game more.

I really liked this game even though I don't play RPGs that much. It has nice story and some good mechanics! It's great that you can save progress, set the volume and stuff like that, I don't see that often here. :)

I got to Sebastian, but he seems too strong. I half killed him over many turns, but then he got stronger, debuffed my max hp, buffed his own attack and one-shot one of my characters from full health with the dual attack. My remaining character got him low, but health debuff + Triple-attack killed them from very close to full health. My characters were both level 4.

Vervana didn't seem to work as a revive (during combat). I tried twice but it only healed the user, instead of reviving the target.

The game seems reasonably well made. I liked the way that I can discover elemental weaknesses.
