LD44 — Your life is currency

The Insured Man by rplnt 2019-05-12T12:47:30Z

As other people have said, it was hard to find the enemies and then to target them. Otherwise I liked the idea and the cars driving around.

Powerup Puncher by cogcomp 2019-04-29T20:02:36Z

It is indeed tough with a keyboard, is there a reason why you didn’t make the arrow keys work? (instead of this WASD thing)

Other than that, it’s an interesting idea!

Powerup Puncher by cogcomp 2019-04-29T20:31:01Z

@cogcomp Ah indeed, but they do not seem to work when choosing the powerups, though.

Catch them all ! by sroelandt 2019-05-15T19:30:25Z

Amazing game! At first I was not expecting the TNT to be so bad, so I failed with -1500 or so, but the next three times I finished at around +500. I couldn’t find a chameleon at all, maybe this part should be made easier?

Game Dev Life by Neowedge 2019-05-06T19:08:01Z

Very fun to play! I didn’t manage to found my own game company though :(

Tough Business by dusho 2019-05-05T20:50:39Z

Very fun to play, I managed to beat the final boss on my first try!

DINTE by salyon 2019-05-15T19:47:44Z

Great graphics and great game design! Congratulations!

Goblin Castle by johnnysix 2019-05-06T18:38:45Z

Good graphics and music! The gameplay seems indeed unfinished (what does the gold button do?) but it’s a good start. Also, whenever I bounce on a goblin, I keep on bouncing on it until the wall without being able to escape.

Social Poker by kromeboy 2019-04-29T20:39:22Z

Nice interpretation of the theme!

Jack The Reaper by Madbeagle 2019-04-29T20:51:42Z

Very cool game! The gameplay is good and I like the music too.

Failing Human by Alex Davies 2019-05-15T18:30:56Z

It was a bit overwhelming at first to understand what on earth is going on, but after I understood the idea it was quite fun, even though a little bit repetitive.

Lifarm by Naruvan 2019-05-05T20:12:26Z

Pretty difficult but it was fun!

Temple of Sacrifice by Dooda 2019-04-29T19:47:45Z

It took me some time to understand how it works (in particular at the beginning I didn’t realize I could upgrade my cards, and I wasn’t sure what all those numbers meant), but then it was pretty easy to stay alive by simply using two archers to kill everyone, so I arrived to round 50 and then stopped because it didn’t seem to get any harder.

But anyway, except for the difficulty that could be more balanced, it’s a pretty good entry, I liked it!

Don't Die, Eat Your Veggies by GhostGoatsGames 2019-05-05T21:23:42Z

As other people have said, the controls are very clunky, but it’s quite good anyway!

Ziggy's Life by PurpledArtFrog 2019-04-29T19:17:53Z

I am kinda confused by the way combat works and also what are those numbers in the right panel? The number of cigs of the other teams? Anyway, it maybe still needs some more work but a rather good start :)

Older than War by BetelgeuseMan 2019-05-05T19:57:06Z

The HTML5 version works for me (Chrome). It’s quite a fun game, although with some bugs, I got stuck in the terrain and fell outside the world a few times :D.

Zup by Ziga Osolin 2019-05-06T19:22:30Z

Great idea, it was a bit too slow at times, but the concept is very cool!

Pay to Win - Your life edition by MarcosShiuuri 2019-05-12T12:05:56Z

Very cool game! It was very enjoyable to play even though a few things would have made it even better (the bullets not disappearing after the point where we clicked, not making "stand in a corner" a viable strategy, not have enemies spawning on you). But otherwise, the difficulty is quite well-balanced and the music and the graphics are cool!

Cyborg Highway by Pyrian 2019-05-12T12:54:42Z

Nice game! As others have said, it wasn’t easy and the player/enemies are sometimes hard to spot, but I liked the fact that if you knock an enemy and there is a car behind, they will just land on that car!

Kill The Money by Copper_Aardvark_Games 2019-05-05T21:09:23Z

Very nice game! A bit short of course, but there is definitely some potential and it already seems very polished. Many rooms were too similar though, maybe there should be more variety. Also the rooms didn’t seem to appear in the same order when I restarted the game, is that normal?

Cult Master by xSupah 2019-05-06T19:44:14Z

Nice mechanics, although it quickly becomes boring, but I still kept playing until I had space for 100 people :)

Nine Lives by foxtrotluna 2019-05-15T18:57:11Z

Nice game! Quite a lot of content for 72 hours, and the graphics are nice!

The clicking sound is not just a clicking sound. If you open the game with some music playing in the background (e.g. a tab with a youtube video), it changes the sound of that background music! It’s probably due to GBStudio, but I had no idea webapps could do something as radical as that…

LD45 — Start with nothing

Attach-It by recursor 2019-10-10T20:42:12Z

It’s quite difficult to control, but nice idea.

Seven Dwarves Brawl by pfeyffer 2019-10-10T20:50:38Z

Quite easy (once you understand the rules) but fun game, and the graphics are really nice!

Bereshit by p-r 2019-10-10T19:20:02Z

Believe it or not but I actually managed to win! It’s quite hard to understand (also why does throwing the earth into a black hole makes your god move???) but all the effects are very cool! The music is very nice too! I found it rather hard to control the earth, as it always stops instead on moving in a different direction.

Among by Antti Haavikko 2019-10-10T22:54:26Z

Amazing game and very polished! Congrats!

A shroomy adventure by thetatautau 2019-10-10T21:16:18Z

Amazing atmosphere! I got a bit lost with all the moving shrooms, though, but nice job!

Cemetery Sweep by Locomule 2019-10-10T19:36:20Z

Nice game! It took me some time to realize that the space bar did something :) My best score before using the free passes was 57, which is not bad I guess.

Candy War by azrou 2019-10-10T18:22:11Z

Very fun! The pumpkin level is quite a lot harder than the previous ones, so it’s a bit unexpected, but after some time I did manage to figure out how to beat it. The last level is a cool surprise :D

The Blue Girl by gamebuilder 2019-10-08T19:28:27Z

Very nice game and story! A bit short and repetitive (many rooms with doors), but the mood is good :)

Chopped mannequin by Gulfick 2019-10-10T21:27:37Z

I just mash the keyboard randomly until it gets me to another body part, but it was fun anyway!

Trash Can Adventures by t1a2z 2019-10-10T21:22:25Z

Super hard but fun!

Zero Equals Zero by TopperVideoGames 2019-10-10T22:35:42Z

Very nice concept with a lot of good ideas, and nice progression between the levels as well. The only thing is that controls are not perfect, it’s easy to get stuck to walls and stuff.

Sticky Memory by Fractal 2019-10-09T07:24:30Z

Thanks for the comments!

@nisovin : You don't need to start all over when you make a mistake, you can click on the blue button on the right after having flipped exactly one (big) card, and it will turn it into a bunch of smaller cards that you can then reassemble in a different way. I agree it's not very clear :)

Nothing In The Way by JediNeeson 2019-10-10T22:20:07Z

Very cool puzzle!

Emergency Procedures by enderr42 2019-10-10T21:35:08Z

Very nice graphics but I couldn’t figure out how to make the airlock work…

Hello Buddy! by D4rkWeasel 2019-10-10T20:59:08Z

Very nice and quite fun, although the controls are quite hard to master.

Fast Bastard by eupde 2019-10-08T19:32:20Z

It doesn’t seem to be working for me. I can click on play, and then I see the controls at the bottom left, the time (ticking down) at the top and the score at the top right, but everything else is just black.

Fast Bastard by eupde 2019-10-08T19:38:05Z

It seems to be a problem with Chrome, I tried with Firefox and it works. It took me some time to understand what is going on, but it’s a cool idea!

Spit warior by BRTEK007 2019-10-10T18:32:01Z

Quite good! A few things I noticed (I’m not the only one): it would be much better to be able to move diagonally and to understand in which direction we are going to spit, also the yellow box should disappear when not needed as it makes it hard to know if there is a way down. And the sound of the enemy is nice :)

Spit warior by BRTEK007 2019-10-10T19:21:36Z

@brtek007 Ok, but at least when you’re moving in one direction and press another arrow key at the same time, it should change to that other direction. Right now I find it quite frustrating to control.

NoControl by simXple 2019-10-10T21:03:37Z

I liked it very much! (although it was too short)

In the beginning by djee 2019-10-10T20:09:52Z

Fun game!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Aviarium by AidanMarkham 2020-05-06T18:38:00Z

There seems to be a bug on Linux unfortunately, the bird and the ground are all black, so it’s impossible to figure out what is going on.

The pain by pfeyffer 2020-05-12T16:49:26Z

Very interesting puzzles, and some of them surprisingly difficult given how simple the idea is. Well done!

Fire Keeper by mechanicallife 2020-05-12T20:00:15Z

Quite difficult to synchronize both hands, but pretty good!

Flour Baby by kiguel182 2020-04-24T09:48:58Z

Very fun! I didn’t realize at first that we lose "flour points" when we get hit (I thought they missed or something), but then I managed to win at my second try. The graphics are very cute :)

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-05-12T16:06:51Z

Cool game! I really like the graphics and the music!

Garden Defence by Sir. Syko 2020-05-12T15:28:45Z

I’m afraid my character isn’t very good at aiming ;(

Seek the Sun by Elyaradine 2020-04-23T20:34:46Z

Very nice atmosphere! It was not easy but satisfying to reach the goal. I felt it a bit annoying that the camera keeps turning around, it made it hard to figure out where the plant is going. But very nice game overall.

Cat Shelter Simulator by Fat cat 2020-05-06T18:32:55Z

Very nice game! I was somewhat confused at the beginning by all the things possible to do, but I got the hang of it. It just feels like that months go by too slowly, it takes ages before the first rent.

Keep This Rust Bucket Flying by Cameron Borthwick 2020-05-12T16:55:47Z

The "lock" minigame is super hard, it seems to lock a bit after we click? And it should make us lose life to fail, just make us try again. But other than that, the concept is quite nice, good job!

Keep them alive by Bajtix 2020-05-06T19:02:20Z

It had extremely bad performance on my (somewhat powerful) computer, so I was not able to make it past the first room unfortunately.

Keep them alive by Bajtix 2020-05-09T12:41:54Z

@bajtix On Linux (Ubuntu 18.04). It was at the first room, there was a lot of enemies firing a lot of bullets and it was basically unplayable :( I have a laptop with an Intel Core i7 CPU (although only an integrated graphics card).

Hungy Hungy Dwagons by cheesepencil 2020-05-12T16:21:13Z

Very nice, although the final wave was pretty hard!

Feed the cat by Fractal 2020-04-24T04:20:58Z

Thank you so much for all your comments! (how did I get so many ratings/comments while having played only two other games yet? Did my game get featured somewhere or something? First time that happens)

I’ll make sure to play all of your games, as long as they have an HTML5 or Linux version.

@kiguel182

I did try to put some shadows and highlights on the cat itself, but I just realized now that I completely missed drop shadows, it didn’t even occur to me for some reason  But otherwise yeah, I know I have a problem with shadows and lighting, I have to figure out how that works.

And no, the cans are not 3D, I just drew 8 different sprites and I choose the appropriate one depending on the angle.

Just One More by Double Top 2020-05-12T20:15:05Z

I played twice, and for some reason the first time my addiction was coins, and the second time it was combat? Is that how it’s supposed to work? But great variety of things, and nice graphics and music too!

The Ultimate Chicken Toaster by LeBossMax2 2020-04-23T20:11:15Z

Took me some time to figure out that we can move the chicken around, but when I realized that, it was rather easy. More levels would have been great, but anyway the concept is good and nice graphics and audio too!

Keep Floating by JoaoG 2020-05-12T17:05:51Z

I didn’t understand the part after the ballon pops, that we have to collect people or something? But otherwise, cool game, and it gets somewhat exciting when it goes faster and the birds appear in groups of 2Ɨ3 (I got a score of 532).

Defend The Crystal by Da1amus 2020-05-12T16:25:34Z

Took me some time to understand that you need to click exactly on the enemy in order to hit them. But otherwise, it is nice!

Are you kitten me, Cthulhu? by BIG EVIL CORPORATION 2020-04-25T18:41:18Z

It took me a while to figure out we can open the door, I almost rated the game without having reached the part of it with tentacles. It was very chaotic and needs a lot of polishing, but a good start!

Orb Defender by Hej_Medister 2020-05-12T19:54:34Z

Very difficult but quite nice!

A minute and a half by brokenVectors 2020-05-06T17:39:01Z

I have no idea how this is supposed to be possible, I keep getting stuck into walls and at some point I somehow managed to get out of the maze and then it was impossible to get in again. Also, can’t we have grades between A+ and F- if we save some plants? But for only 24h and being 11, it’s definitely a good start!

Pet Rock Simulator by Keepoccino 2020-05-12T15:23:23Z

Very cool game! It was very fun to try to balance all different levels, while still letting it sleep when needed.

DON`T DIE STAY ALIVE! by PenguinBob 2020-05-12T15:56:06Z

Very nice and addictive game! I got 274 as my best score. The music is nice, although quite strange given that it’s a game when you get impaled by spears regularly.

Project Ark by TechnoGoth 2020-05-06T18:00:52Z

Pretty cool game! My main complaint is that there are too many things that are unexplained, and it takes some time to understand which things are useful and which other are useless. Also I don’t know where I can see how many resources/money one earn each round, that would have been helpful. I would suggest to try to make it clearer in the game design what each resource is for, and how one can spend it or earn it.

Sorbest by robinfaury 2020-05-12T19:42:07Z

The second level was super hard, because of the jumps and because I had no idea what I was supposed to do (until coming to the comments, I thought I was supposed to get all of the apples!), but I managed to pass it in the end! Nice game!

Stranded Pirates by Nawreua 2020-05-12T19:25:54Z

It was very difficult but I made it! Great game!

Within The Beast by Forging Foxes 2020-05-12T15:38:20Z

Seems interesting, but I couldn’t figure out how to understand what to do :( How do you keep track of the health? What do you do with the leaves? (I tried to send the poisoned leaves to the bottom left but it just freezes the games) How is healing working? Also, on the second level "The Pillar" I got stuck on the left wall.

Protector by khopa 2020-05-12T15:48:13Z

Cool retro game, even though there isn’t that much to do, but I’m guessing it’s not easy to write a NES game! CycloaJS doesn’t seem to work on Chromium for me (I got 18 FPS or so, which was super slow, and the music was completely chopped up), but it worked with Firefox.

Keep Heart Beat by zilulu 2020-05-12T19:48:16Z

I made it to 3:13! It’s a bit unintuitive to have horizontal key map to vertical things, but nice game!

Build with Haste by Fryer 2020-05-12T16:02:34Z

Great idea! I wish there was an undo button/key.

Kakyuumari / ć‚«ć‚ćƒ„ć‚¦ćƒžćƒŖ by studioNOKOI 2020-05-06T18:55:00Z

Quite fun! The main issue is that the camera goes crazy which makes it hard to follow it sometimes. The art is very nice!

Mr. Fluff by Nazorus 2020-05-12T20:29:19Z

Very cool game! And great music as well :)

Protect Egg. by devook 2020-05-12T17:19:26Z

The music is great! And the game feels really relaxing in a way. I got 82 seconds as my best.

SAVE THE DINOS! by marcusnystrand 2020-05-06T18:43:19Z

Cool game, but quite difficult!

Dream Rock by NoNumbersGames 2020-05-12T17:08:46Z

Weird game, but I guess I polished it enough :)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

May I have some time loops? by someoneman 2020-10-26T19:18:20Z

Cool puzzle game, I enjoyed it :)

EmojAvoid by kevinworkman 2020-10-26T19:25:27Z

Clever way to get around the rule that require you to draw all assets yourself, but I would still consider it cheating ;)

Cashier Every Day by schwede 2020-10-25T20:46:19Z

Took me a very long time to figure out that the brown thing cannot be scanned and merely separate the customers. But otherwise, it felt pretty realistic (even though I have never been a cashier) so well done!

BOTLOOP by Bernhard 2020-10-26T18:51:31Z

Very interesting game, the second bonus game is the only one I did not manage to solve. The idea is very interesting!

Circle Golf by CG_Fred 2020-10-20T21:39:08Z

Super fun game! Best score: 1:27!

Energy Loop by SpaceMonkey 2020-10-26T20:35:59Z

Cool puzzle, the last level made me think quite a bit :)

World Without End by niterich 2020-10-20T20:21:24Z

Nice idea! Too bad that you didn't have time to finish it!

The Loop by PhillSerrazina 2020-10-20T19:53:56Z

Very cool puzzle! I made an escape game with a repeating room too :D There was some weird keyboard issue, I don’t use a qwerty keyboard but even after switching to qwerty it was still using my previous layout, which was somewhat inconvenient. But otherwise, well done game!

Escape the Loop! by jessifin 2020-10-20T19:36:20Z

I would be curious to know if there is an end to this game (I only managed to go to level 4) but maybe it’s the point :) It’s a pretty good entry, the gameplay is fun (if a little bit repetitive) and the sound is great!

Arcane Forest by LadyMistLeaf 2020-10-26T19:34:47Z

If you want to use music that you didn't make yourself, you should upload your game as part of the jam, not as part of the compo. Please respect the rules of the compo.

I was somewhat confused by the pumpkin, but I just tried all possible ways and managed to escape :)

Arcane Forest by LadyMistLeaf 2020-10-28T10:00:52Z

@ladymistleaf No, you are not allowed to use free assets in the compo, only in the jam. The idea of the compo is that you do everything yourself in 48 hours. There are a few exceptions for fonts for instance, but definitely not for music. Look at the rules here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/rules

LoopBerries by sekol 2020-10-26T21:15:49Z

Very interesting idea, I had trouble understanding it at first but then I read the instructions again and I managed to make it so painfully slow that I had to stop :) You’re having some performance issues when mixing a lot of berries ;)

SPACE TAXI by Radzios 2020-10-25T22:03:18Z

I didn't really understand if we are supposed to play with or against oneself, but I like how the game looks :)

Stuck Machines by Fractal 2020-10-05T06:55:01Z

@sanojian I’m surprised it doesn’t work in Mac Chrome, I’m simply using the latest version of PIXI. Does WebGL work? (do you see a spinning cube at https://get.webgl.org/?) Or is there an error message in the console?

Stuck Machines by Fractal 2020-10-26T21:17:27Z

Yes, there absolutely is a logic to it, studying what the different doors do to the symbols might help :)

Looping Meadows by Kirbloid 2020-10-20T20:16:50Z

I won! 262 turns to complete! I was a bit lost at the beginning, as I didn't notice I could turn spaces into gem mines, but then I understood it and it was very fun to play!

The Hand That Feeds by neonjeff 2020-10-20T19:21:59Z

I was kinda confused the whole time but the sound effects are fun. My character wanted to sleep all the time, is that normal?

opLo by JoaoG 2020-10-25T21:31:10Z

You did very well at getting me confused, but in a good way, I definitely enjoyed it!

Loop Invader by ZwodahS 2020-10-20T20:29:47Z

Got a score of 24! Nice concept and quite well balanced!

Spiiin by Temulgeh 2020-10-25T20:49:59Z

Nice game, even though I would have like to see more levels.

Omega Virus by Cryptomnesic 2020-10-25T21:22:39Z

I didn’t quite understand what was going on, but I managed to succeed in my mission even though I was alone :)

Danger Beat by rhoff95 2020-10-26T20:47:45Z

Very cool concept! I just didn’t understand if one wins when one gets to the "hey!" part with the green spotlight in the middel?

X REALITIES AWAY FROM HOME by Francois_B 2020-10-26T19:08:12Z

Very difficult, but I did it :) Maybe it should be balanced a bit better, and not have 6 or 7 different portals or so.

A Bad Sign by cadaeibfe 2020-10-25T21:54:27Z

It took me some time but I managed to make it to the top, pretty interesting game!

Space Crisis by dan-whiffing 2020-10-20T21:01:47Z

Please respect the rules of the Ludum Dare. If you did not make the music yourself, you cannot compete in the Compo category.

Other than that, it is a very nice game, quite polished already and very addictive. I did not yet manage to finish it (only got to the charge gun upgrade) but I really enjoyed it!

Space Crisis by dan-whiffing 2020-10-28T14:17:20Z

@dan-whiffing For the jam you can do that, take some free music from somewhere and remove the audio category, but not for the compo :)

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

tetronimo! by gregfagan 2021-04-28T20:59:18Z

Unfortunately the game seems unplayable on my computer, I get only 4 frames between two tetrominos. Is this a bug that can be fixed?

The Alchemist by DallOner 2021-04-28T20:01:46Z

Very nice art, but as others I am a bit confused about what we are supposed to do. At first I thought that clicking an orb would transform it to something else, but it actually looks like the two orbs we get are actually random and what matters is what happens in the top. But then I have no idea how is it possible to win. Filling one top orb makes you lose, it's possible to fill two orbs at the same time, but how are you supposed to fill all four at the same time?

Deep Cover by Madbarron 2021-04-28T20:51:41Z

Wow, this was amazing, the gameplay was especially nice and how a complex story is intertwined with the relatively simple idea of remembering words. Very well done!

Insight by Ifidamas 2021-04-28T21:10:32Z

A bit too laggy unfortunately, but very nice atmosphere and the music fits perfectly!

Deep Sweep by Dazrow 2021-04-28T21:44:38Z

Nice puzzle game! The last level was especially interesting as I needed to be mindful of both bombs and pickaxes. Controls feel a bit slow sometimes, but it's not too bad :)

Deep Sweep by Dazrow 2021-04-28T21:45:50Z

Note that you need to opt-out of the Graphics and Audio categories, as you didn't do them yourselves.

Insane in the Membraine by PotatoMcMan 2021-04-28T20:26:40Z

Very nice, it was very fun to play! I just have a small issue with the moving platforms, you do know this is not how physics work, right? When you stand still on a moving platform, you’re supposed to move with it :D

Turtruckin' by eharp 2021-04-28T19:39:01Z

Nice idea and nice 3D modelling! Unfortunately I found the controls very difficult to use which made it a bit hard to actually enjoy the gameplay.

Minedeeper by korfi 2021-04-28T21:28:57Z

Very nicely done! The idea is nice and I really liked the 3D art. The game has very low FPS in fullscreen for me, even though it works fine if I do not enable fullscreen, not sure if that's a bug or not. I didn't beat your high scores but reached about 600.

LD49 — Unstable

Corruption TD by Mysticaldev 2021-10-11T18:14:40Z

Nice :) It would probably benefit from giving different capacities to the different towers (for now it seems like they are just more or less powerful), but it was fun nevertheless :)

Home Tripper by yojammerjammer 2021-10-06T19:58:20Z

Cool story :)

Red Flag (Le Temps des TempĆŖtes) by Achiru 2021-10-05T17:43:18Z

I didn’t manage to win it unfortunately, but I went up to 26/30! Well done game, kinda hard to figure out what happens on the screen, but it still feels somehow playable.

Human Stackā„¢ by Minus 2021-10-05T18:28:52Z

I got stuck at level 15, couldn’t figure out how to stack the wheel and the cloud in a stable way. Otherwise, well done! I like that (for the most part) things do stay stable. A few points that could be improved: When grabbing a falling object, it preserves the momentum, which makes it unusable as it will start rotation as soon as we drop it. Also the grass makes it pretty hard to see soda and milk bottles.

Get Down From There! by Fionnabhair 2021-10-05T17:47:58Z

37! Pretty fun, but too bad the hitboxes are so buggy, it would make the game so much more enjoyable if we could understand where we're going.

Space Cracks! by Fractal 2021-10-05T18:33:36Z

@drunk-wizard > towards the end of the game, the cracks stopped forming

That was kind of the idea, cracks do not form in green areas, so when most of the planet is green, they don’t have anywhere left to form. But I definitely agree that the ending could be more polished, as it’s not particularly enjoyable at the moment.

> only thing missing was actually telling players which button is interact

Ahah, the tutorial does say to press space to close the cracks, but it’s true that you need to have found the space key already in order to access the tutorial :D I’ll add it to the description.

TirBombardier by Tiranice 2021-10-06T19:31:08Z

Pretty short, but cool idea, and I found the controls very intuitive and easy to use :) Except that somehow the camera refused to move every time I was in the upstairs part of the other building, not sure what’s up with that.

TirBombardier by Tiranice 2021-10-06T19:57:07Z

@tiranice The WebGL version, I’m on Linux

Emotionally Unstable by Apandso 2021-10-05T18:49:44Z

I really like the concept, but it needs more balancing, it felt way too easy, and very often I had to choose between two cards where one of them is absolutely better than the other one in every possible way (or sometimes I had to choose between two absolutely identical cards).

Crazy Potion by zapdos2 2021-10-06T20:12:01Z

Very interesting concept and very well done, I did pass all levels and it feels satisfying :)

Circus Panic by Fedev 2021-10-05T19:02:57Z

Nice idea but the controls would definitely benefit from some improvement. It took me a long time to pass the first level, and then I couldn’t figure out at all how to do the "big jump" in the second level, from the second to the third ball.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

M.A.D.D. by Flying Dog Fish 2022-04-07T21:04:02Z

Very nice! At first I was just avoiding bullets, but then I realized I could place a whole lot of walls around which made it feel much safer, even though I was just delaying the inevitable ;)

LD55 — Summoning

Spirits of the Forest by aucguy 2024-05-01T09:46:34Z

Nice work! It was a bit unclear at the beginning what I had to do, but I got it after reading the rules again. The green spirits don’t seem very useful, though, I could beat the game easily with just red and white spirits, so there wasn’t much of a strategy.

Unsummoning Dark Creatures by angry-cyboot 2024-05-01T10:01:39Z

The web version doesn’t work very well unfortunately, it is pretty slow, very small, and it cuts the sides of the screen. Also I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do? I could change the color of three squares, but the fourth square in in the village and I can’t go there.

Update: ok, now I somehow managed to get it to appear further away from the village and could unsummon a few creatures, nice! It’s a bit hard to find them, though, except by walking randomly.

Slay the Skull by Cambryx 2024-05-01T08:54:46Z

Very nice and well balanced, the choices of cards were very interesting and the presentation is polished. Well done!

The ultimate Cup Of Coffee - Summoning The Barista by INCD021 2024-04-20T11:54:11Z

Pretty difficult for me, but after reading some of the comments here I figured it out :) The "it goes down from here" clue was a bit confusing as it doesn’t actually go down.

Cards of Angels in the Manor of Demons by JustMars 2024-05-01T14:36:40Z

Nice ambience, I really liked the art and the audio. Great that you included a tutorial as well! But I couldn’t figure out how to win in the second wave, there was way too many enemies for the amount of cards I had.

Summoned Army by dasilvacontin 2024-05-01T15:19:00Z

Very interesting game, although levels 1 to 4 were very easy, level 5 was very hard, and level 6 impossible :) Feel free to take a look at our game, it is based on a very similar concept, where you have a choice between three similar options, balanced in a rock/paper/scissors way!

The Saint Of The Great Sorrow by Jonathan Lorenz 2024-05-01T14:21:12Z

Great atmosphere and environment, and congrats for doing that in only one day, even with mostly pre-made assets.

Wizzy Wizzy by Fractal 2024-05-01T08:28:31Z

Thank you all for the comments!

There are two bugs we know about currently, one is that the game sometimes gets stuck for no reason (@sargonius), the other one is that sometimes winning doesn’t trigger despite sending a monster to the opponent with no shield (@austin-c, he is not supposed to have additional health).

@aviv-levy: It is meant to feel a bit rock-paper-scissorsy :) The idea is basically that each of the three things you can summon is strong against one of the others but weak against the third one, so that there isn’t an obvious strategy consisting of always clicking the same button.

We're plannning a post-jam version with in particular support for multiplayer so that you can play with your friends or with strangers (@zablas), but also fixing bugs, cleaning up code, and improving some animations, graphics, and sound (@aucguy).

Stay tuned and let us know if you want to be notified when the post-jam version will be available!

Summonology by MoebiusMeow 2024-05-01T14:53:40Z

Very beautiful and original! I got completely lost when they started spinning, though. And the grid shape was very interesting, even though a bit tricky to wrap my head around :)

Make New Friends by Benjamin Halko 2024-04-20T15:02:03Z

Really great game, well done, the gameplay is very well done and the game polished!

Summoner's (photography) Apprentice by Ansible 2024-04-20T12:38:02Z

Couldn’t figure out at all how it works :( I also barely have time to read the feedback when summoning at the last step, so it’s hard to continue.

Sumi & Portia: Rescue Service '55 by jpbash 2024-05-01T10:15:22Z

Very nice game! It wasn’t easy but still pretty interesting! Sometimes it was a bit difficult to predict the chain reactions that would happen from block falling several times. I like the art style as well!

Datema by Jack Bingham 2024-04-20T13:26:10Z

I managed to get mana, but how do we know which combinations of colors work?

Exorcist Pianist by Aviv Levy 2024-05-01T09:26:25Z

Very cool, especially that the same demons repeat, so that we can get a feel of the melody and then just vibe with the demons! I played a few times and got different experiences, in particular the third time many demons digits ended the same way as some other demons started (killing 354 would kill half of 41), which was a bit weird considering that the first two times I played it didn’t happen at all like this, not sure if it is on purpose?

A Following Wind by digitaliliad 2024-05-01T09:11:32Z

Very nice! It was very relaxing and stressful at the same time :D The sound was all choppy for me unfortunately.

Magecraft Timber Troupe by Liam Squires 2024-05-01T15:56:24Z

Very well done, it is a very entertaining game! It was however a bit hard to remember which minion corresponds to what, it would have been nice to reuse the same icons in all appropriate places. I didn’t really try the spells either, it was too much already with all the resources, minions, fighters, levels, etc.

Magic Falls by CaptainSpaceCat 2024-04-20T12:26:50Z

Took me a while to realize that selecting a different spell is not possible at all on my keyboard and that I needed to switch to a QWERTY keyboard... And why do you write that arrow keys are for selecting the spells when it’s not? Also it looks like the Ludum Dare game embedding has some issues, for me the game shows up slightly smaller with scrollbars to see all of it, the fullscreen button works (after scrolling to be able to see it) but then ESC exits fullscreen... You could publish it at itch.io instead, it would work better.

Infernal Contract by tglm 2024-04-20T13:07:21Z

Nice entry! It was pretty easy, though, once I figured out I was supposed to type the words (it didn’t seem to work the first time)

SacriSquare by Ethorax 2024-04-20T13:01:54Z

Very cool mechanic, best score: 243 so far! The "b" for disabling the timer didn’t seem to work for me though (the timer disappears but I still get a game over screen). It could definitely make for a cool mobile game with more polish, adapted controls, various levels/upgrades, etc.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Shiba Idle by ejmejm 2024-10-17T18:24:21Z

Cute game, and interesting take on the "idle game" mechanics! I didn’t quite understand how it works, but I managed to get to the spaceship anyway :)

Fly's Revengeria by jward 2024-10-14T20:43:55Z

Very fun and I love the intro! A bit too easy maybe, though.

Fastigrades by Kyrio 2024-10-18T17:57:59Z

Nice and addicting, although it was pretty hard to avoid the obstacles. I got up to 248mm or so. Well done!

Xeno Nano Pond by invader 2024-10-20T21:38:16Z

Interesting, but it gets a bit boring quite quickly without any goal.

Tiny Paws by EX3D0 2024-10-17T16:54:50Z

Nice! I especially like the graphics! Small issue: it looks like "Replay" doesn’t reset the speed.

Ponding Experience by Carraka 2024-10-18T19:43:47Z

Got stuck above the water just before I would have killed the big fish :( But very nice, I love games with quests like this, and it was really well done!

The Battle Ants by niterich 2024-10-17T17:07:24Z

Nice concept, but not very well balanced indeed. It is super easy to win with only the most basic ants.

Tiny revolution by island-jam-2-group-3 2024-10-14T21:22:21Z

Really interesting mechanics! But I basically just stayed in the middle and shot at everything :)

Who's Behind the Fix? by 1337life 2024-10-14T21:31:02Z

Very nice art, too bad that the game is so short.

Pynkanids Eat the Galaxy by massivejack 2024-10-13T12:16:19Z

Really nice game! I particularly liked how natural it feels to shoot at enemies, not sure if there is some auto aim or large hitbox, but it felt both that we had to aim and that it was possible to control. Well done!

Lee the flea by scott.redrup 2024-10-18T18:36:49Z

Pretty nice! I managed to beat the medium level on the first try, but not the easy level, maybe they should have been swapped? Otherwise it is indeed pretty tricky to understand how far we will go, and it seems like sometimes it glitches and we don’t land on the blocks as expected.

Ant Colony Tycoon Deluxe by IAmWave 2024-10-18T18:11:24Z

Great concept, got score 192. The ant movement feels natural and it was nice to be able to nudge them in the right direction.

Nostalgia Castle by Kamuniaft 2024-10-18T18:58:10Z

Very interesting strategy, and good choice of abilities! Unfortunately it keeps freezing towards the end of the second level, so I couldn’t see all of it :( Would be great if you could fix it, I would definitely play it again!

The Rubber Room by Danial Jumagaliyev 2024-10-14T21:00:55Z

Very cool and unexpected! I managed to get to the "sentient room" but I didn’t have any ammo left in the gun, so I’m not sure how I was supposed to go further.

Critter Wrangler by LelulaGames 2024-10-24T20:31:25Z

Nice game! The last one was tricky to find but I did manage in the end! It was very relaxing and the music fit the game pretty well.

Hero must die by DmitryGalias 2024-10-14T21:13:26Z

Interesting idea but I couldn’t figure out much how to play. I suggest that you write some more explanations in the description, it would be at least something.

Sneaky Paws by Feraligatr 2024-10-18T19:05:24Z

Cool game, got up to 24 points! Controls are a bit weird sometimes, and it is hard to see where we are safe from the cat, but it was fun!

Dollhouse Blaze by ugly_robot 2024-10-18T18:23:11Z

I feel like there are too many different buttons, so it is kinda hard to control. But well done with the destructible environment!

Rex-Terminator by Deruitda 2024-10-17T19:02:24Z

Difficult controls, so I only managed to get to the fourth level or so (with different enemies), but good idea and well done!

Flare in the Dark by Jony 2024-10-17T17:17:33Z

I really like the background and the atmosphere. Too bad that the controls are a bit too difficult and that the difficulty doesn’t seem to increase with time. I got to 1000 points and then got bored.

Tiny Checkers by thyoi 2024-10-20T21:19:33Z

Really good, congratulations! It felt a bit too easy though, and I could easily just buy everything, but really well done for a compo game!

Autopsy Center Simulator by Roroto Sic 2024-10-13T11:35:41Z

Interesting idea, but unfortunately I didn’t particularly enjoyed playing it. The docs are pretty hard to read (too few pixels per letter), and several controls are annoying/hard to understand (for instance somehow we can make cuts outside the body, it is unclear what the syringe is for, it is unclear how to deal with insects that leave the plate).

The Immortals Snails by Dianavi 2024-10-18T18:30:56Z

Really cute and well done, got up to 29 snails.

Formuroll by Utopia 2024-10-14T19:01:52Z

It was a very interesting concept and I enjoyed playing it. Unfortunately it didn’t feel well balanced, and it took a while to get to a place with more interesting decisions.

Buggie's Spider Golf by mortusnegati 2024-10-18T17:48:09Z

Really nice! And the controls work very well, which is pretty rare for jam games. I got 28/34 and really enjoyed it, well done!

Bactoria by GiomomoGiovanna 2024-10-17T16:45:16Z

The link says "HTML5 (web)" but I couldn’t find a playable web version. Is there one somewhere?

Every Light Counts by BruceZoom 2024-10-13T11:18:41Z

Very nice game! I only got 14/16 nests (and I see one of the two missing ones, but I have no clue how to get it, it’s the one next to the torch that closes the wall onto itself, but it also seems locked in). And is there supposed to be another nest in the big pond on the top?

The music fits the atmosphere very nicely, the controls are ok but not the best (in particular the slowing down is very hard to use I think), and it’s sometimes not easy to see where we can and cannot pass.

Gangsta Turt! by Nick Halstead 2024-10-13T11:46:50Z

In this kind of game you should *definitely* be able to shoot while moving, it feels really weird otherwise, I think. Otherwise, well done and nice art (I wish there were animations, though). And is right-click supposed to do something?

Stick Racing by Prunus Padis 2024-10-14T22:11:32Z

Ahah, I love the art style :) A bit hard to control sometimes (especially when crashing into walls) but after sometime I managed to handle the basic car (2 minutes 6 seconds for the five laps).

LD57 — Depths

SUBSUME by thristhart 2025-04-12T21:14:30Z

Wow, this is really good, I love the story and the atmosphere of the game. The controls could be made slightly easier (it was sometimes hard to reach stuff in the corners without getting too much damage), but on the other hand it’s a submarine so it’s king of expected that it would be hard to control :D

Snow Ordinary Cave by binroot 2025-04-12T15:27:12Z

Nice idea! I felt like the lamp took way too long to turn on, and the lack of feedback when being hit by enemies in the dark made it a lot harder than it should have been. And nice job on the lighting!

🐾 Deep Meowgotiations by Silas Reinagel 2025-04-12T22:24:22Z

Nice game, but I would have liked to understand better how the game works, it felt a bit random whether I should continue or not.

Shleep by Rongo Matane 2025-04-12T21:51:28Z

Really nice game, well done! The baby was a little weird, but the rest was amazing!

Scrab the Scrabbler by schadocalex 2025-04-12T17:01:18Z

Very nice and original concept! I didn’t manage to finish because the game froze somehow, though.

TrashDash by JPiolho 2025-04-12T21:25:31Z

Very nice game and pretty art! Well done!

Piranha Frenzy by mremmele 2025-04-12T19:59:21Z

Very nice art and very cool concept. The keyboard controls didn’t work at all for me in Chrome (on Linux), but then it worked in Firefox, you may want to fix it as I see several other comments of people who couldn’t use the keyboard either. But apart from that, very well done entry, I wish it would last longer!

Depths of Hell by GabrielGameDev 2025-04-12T20:35:55Z

Very nice, and very addictive! Unfortunately I couldn’t manage to use the dash as I have one hand on the arrow keys and the other hand on the space bar, so I couldn’t go further. Maybe the platform placement could be a bit more varied (often you could just jump vertically for a while), but that’s a detail. Well done!

Deep Blast by Senso 2025-04-12T20:12:46Z

Really satisfying to play, well done! Simple but effective graphics, and very nice use of particles and screen shakes when stuff explodes.

R.E.M. Really Enraging Mosquito by Mcgiants 2025-04-12T15:16:26Z

I could not really figure out why it kept waking up or how the score is counted, but I got a little over 2600, which is good I guess :D

CONFESSION by pavlov36 2025-04-12T15:05:53Z

Quite easy and unfinished, but it was a nice experience :)

LD58 — Collector

Dust Collector Testing Facility by Jcourt 2025-10-18T10:58:10Z

Nice puzzle game, the last two levels were definitely interesting and more challenging than the other ones!

Coco-llectors by tanis 2025-10-18T11:45:58Z

Really nice and fun game! Got 285 and tried several times to beat it but I couldn’t get much better. I ran into some glitches with floating cocos, piles spread onto several positions, and the opponent getting stuck. But otherwise, well done!

Mechmories by Shess 2025-10-24T17:04:08Z

Maybe a little bit too much reading and too little action, but nice atmosphere!

LudicrousOafishMagpie by hijomo 2025-10-18T15:52:00Z

Kinda confusing but interesting concept. It’s kind of a audio memory game (for those who don’t know Morse code by heart). Not sure why you need to press the same key five times?

Knock-N-Treat by Steven Garberg 2025-10-18T10:45:38Z

I got 73! Cute game with a nice atmosphere! Not sure what’s the point of running away though? Shouldn’t I just know on every door? And why is there an option to sprint? Why would I not sprint? Also I got some issue where some candies got stuck on the top right corner of the screen.

A Trip in the Woods by tolja 2025-10-21T21:22:52Z

Simple and effective! I played quite a few times and managed to get to 27 seconds. Well done!

Piggybank goes forth by Flying Dog Fish 2025-10-18T14:49:58Z

Nice game, with quite a lot of work in level design, well done! I got up to score 144 where I got stuck, I see now from your video that I was supposed to go down near the spikes and then jump. I couldn’t figure out either what the grey balls did.

Webbed Up! by Fractal 2025-10-06T23:43:56Z

@iocutus You need to click on "Next level" to go to the next level. Doesn't it work?

Fractal Collector by Tesseract 2025-10-21T21:17:06Z

Really cool! Obviously I am biased given my username, but really nice idea! At the beginning I just solved the puzzles intuitively, but at some point I remembered what a fractal is and understood better how it worked :D I managed to solve all of them except for the last one, I got very close (0.11) but somehow not all the way there.

I wish the drawings were a bit crispier, they were not always easy to distinguish and become quite messy when dragging, but I know it may be quite computationally expensive.

Well done and thanks! ;)

LaChuChu Fever by Yellowscope 2025-10-18T16:05:37Z

Nice job! With this mechanic, I feel like it didn’t need to be a 3D game, I spent more time trying to fight the 3D movement than actually thinking about whether I want to buy or sell a specific Lachuchu.

Moderately Exciting Tax Collecting by HaaYaargh 2025-10-18T15:42:39Z

Nice work! I got up to the level where I needed to collect 152 or something like that. Too bad the car is so hard to control (especially turning is extremely slow), otherwise I would have definitely continued a bit more.

Biocapital by SunJet 2025-10-18T16:14:42Z

The visuals are amazing, but unfortunately I found it way too difficult to control :(

Kobolds In Space by WeirdBitGames 2025-10-18T12:30:51Z

Took some time to understand but I finally managed to figure out what most of the cards do and could survive until I was rescued. It was well balanced: not easy but not impossible either, I had to think carefully. Very well done!

I don't care who the IRS sends by BlueDandelion 2025-10-18T15:32:37Z

Pretty trick, but I finally managed to get to Mars! I wish it were maybe slightly easier and longer, but very nice game nevertheless!

Nebula FM by Chariot 2025-10-18T10:31:59Z

Interesting idea and very nice art style, but the UI makes it incredibly hard to play. For instance having to reselect the same conveyor belt all the time and having to guess which corner to use and to rotate it the right way (and trying to figure out which way it is currently pointing). Also it looks like the buildings can’t be chained to each other, they always need conveyor belts (which is kinda hard given the space constraints)? Then I trying resetting, and it wouldn’t tell me anymore the notes I need, not sure why.

Beelines by raysplaceinspace 2025-10-18T11:18:25Z

Really good game! It’s both simple and challenging, especially seeing the high scores and trying to beat them! And well polished as well, well done!

Violet's Home by l6ria 2025-10-18T15:00:14Z

Cute and easy game. While it does indeed lack in challenges and gameplay, the graphics, music, and atmosphere are well done!

Two small things: - your game is currently not playable on other keyboard layouts than Qwerty (for instance Dvorak or Azerty), make sure to use the key code for the movements (event.code instead of event.key) - change the name of the link above from "Microsoft Window" to "Web" (or similar), currently it looks like it can only be played on Windows

LD59 — Signal

Pharos by Chaseplays 2026-05-02T21:59:07Z

Nice idea and atmosphere! It was a bit too easy though, and I’m not sure why we get several boats, I just used one boat and let the other ones sink and it worked just fine.

Lost in Transit by ryupold 2026-04-22T21:47:34Z

I solved the first two levels and then the first wave of the third level, but then I gave up because I didn’t want to watch the same thing five more times, I’m really not sure why you didn’t just do one wave per level, that would have been significantly more enjoyable to play. But the first wave of each level was quite interesting!

The Archives of Trevosa by celia14 2026-04-26T20:10:59Z

Really nice and challenging game! I managed to finish it but it took me a couple of hours or so. I play The Daily Spell every day and I definitely recognize the writing and world building :D

Switch Happens by Zettelkasten 2026-04-26T17:03:21Z

Well done, it’s very interesting although it gets very complicated quite quickly. Maybe the trains and the stations should have colors instead to be able to know where they go without having to hover above them all the time?

The Terraformer by Cloverfall 2026-04-22T22:06:02Z

Nice vibe and sounds, but quite often I just couldn’t place trees for unknown reasons, and watering didn’t work either most of the time. I ended up spamming '1' while moving around until I finished the game.

Per Signum by apoly 2026-04-26T16:25:31Z

Very cool game! Not super difficult but quite satisfying.

Last Writes by orangeoceans 2026-04-22T22:29:11Z

Really cool atmosphere and great idea for puzzles! I didn’t finish it yet, but I’ll continue tomorrow!

Synesthezoo by TheLastSlowpoke 2026-04-28T21:15:15Z

I love fractals, so this game was great! Very interesting how the different animals affect the fractal in different way, and I managed to beat all levels, even though the last one was pretty tough!

Connect by BruceZoom 2026-05-02T21:41:08Z

Really great game! I managed to get to $200/s before giving up. It would be great to be able to hover on the packets to see their size and also their frequency. Also the UX for connecting wires and dragging objects is a bit weird. One gets used to it, but it could be made more intuitive.

Very scary, well done for the mood. At first I didn’t understand that I needed to place the bomb, so I spent a long time going around and disabling all TVs, then finally the bomb got placed so I just went to hide in a corner and waited two minutes.

Interesting idea and art style! But it was a bit too easy, and I couldn’t really figure out how to use the tubes in a good way. I just put a cannon next to the heart and all other cannons in front as shield and it worked :D

Nice idea, we had the exact same one :D Would be great with smoother sliders

Nice game! The codes were fun to decode, reminded me when I was writing coded messages as a kid. As someone else, however, I didn’t like the cat cursor :D

Cool and original idea! It was a bit hard to understand at first, but then it was quite fun to play. Although one small issue is that it seems to say Game over even when I win? Or did I misunderstand something?
