Looks like physics are a bit buggy. Maybe I even have cheated in some levels. Awesome

diaonic 2019-10-06 23:36

I ran into the physics issue on several levels. I'd recommend using raycasts instead of physics for platform movement, would solve alot of these little quirky platform errors. I got to the final level, but I'm stuck. Pretty nice submission, well done :) Annotation 2019-10-06 193530.png

lars-erik 2019-10-06 23:40

This made me laugh good. Love the sound effects! 🤣 Well done!

Would be fun to see a larger more polished version make it.

jedineeson 2019-10-06 23:49

@kuviman @diaonic Thank you for your time and your feedback! I'm aware of those bugs but it was too late to change the system so I added the stop button that reset the level. 😅

@lars-erik Thank you, was my first time doing SFX, this is really not my speciality but it was really fun to do it!

bocodillo 2019-10-06 23:59

Had a lot of fun with this. In a few levels I actually found myself trying to use less pieces than given and experimenting with stuff. The audio was good, didn't run into any physics problems myself but I know Unity can be finicky.

xacur 2019-10-07 01:14

It was very good, my favorite so far. With better graphics and a better soundtrack it would be a legit game. I almost gave up on 7th level. jam01.jpg

jedineeson 2019-10-07 01:20

@xacur Thank you for you time and your feedback! That was the first time I had to deal with 2D graphics and music. It was a great challenge since I'm a designer and a programmer but not a visual or sound artist at all! The hardest part for me was to draw the character and anim it, music was hard to but I did'nt spent to much time on this.

danny88881 2019-10-07 01:33

Great game, I played to the end. I liked the progression of mechanics introduced and the increasing diffuculty of each level. I didn't run into any physics issues that others have mentioned. Good job in general, I hope you polish up it with more levels and take this idea beyond the Compo!

ruby-interactive-games 2019-10-07 05:16

This was great! Really enjoyable, breath of fresh air!

jk5000 2019-10-07 08:15

A fun and super friendly little puzzle game. Well done.

los 2019-10-07 16:15

Very good game, fun, simple and challenging! Also, I'm Awesome! :D

laegoose 2019-10-07 16:16

Hehe this was a fun a little game. Cheers!

transkuja 2019-10-07 16:44

It's quite fun, I like it. Good job :)

bazld 2019-10-07 20:30

Lovely game, very complete. Great use of the theme - it really does start with nothing!

karanveer 2019-10-08 10:41

Finished the game and enjoyed it. Didn't experience any bugs! Capture.PNG

gwinnell 2019-10-08 18:00

A very cool little puzzle game! One small UX thing: it might have been nice to drag from the buttons instead of clicking to spawn and then dragging.

jedineeson 2019-10-08 22:19

@gwinnell Thank you for your feedback, I think you're right that would have been better like this!

dob 2019-10-09 02:15

Cool little game, with fun puzzles. Art and animation were good. Controls were pretty intuitive. I could have used more than two measures of background music. I wish that I could have tried all puzzles rather than having to do them in order.

hexcolyte 2019-10-09 05:51

Got stuck on one of the levels but managed to clear it with sheer luck. The graphic can use some love, other than that, great job!

nick-gozak 2019-10-09 11:14

Funny game, but I couldn`d beat the last one

kazatan 2019-10-09 12:02

Nice puzzle game. I didn't see a single physics issue and actually I just wish there were more levels with more things!!

nachtwitch 2019-10-09 12:13

Fantastic work my friend! Loved this entry to bits!

domino-marama 2019-10-09 12:52

Music got a bit repetitive, but was fun enough to ignore and play through all levels. Character got stuck in physics a few times on last level but in the game context that didn't stick out as wrong, just as me doing something wrong..

hcursino 2019-10-09 14:21

Simple game, I didn't enjoy much but I think it was not developed for me. This game would be great for kids, the challenges are easy to understand and still makes you think to figure out the puzzles. Nice 12 levels, good job.

sillyman987 2019-10-10 11:53

Love this! fantastic! Great puzzles!

dafral 2019-10-10 12:01

Nice game! And very impressive that you have been able to do so much stuff on your own

fvafhae 2019-10-10 13:22

A very interesting game, but a little bit simple for me. I wish it had some really hard levels. Overall, a very decent concept

matharoo 2019-10-10 17:27

I love these kind of games, and I loved this one too! A full version would be awesome. Loved how confusing it got at times and it was satisfying to figure it out!

oiledowl 2019-10-10 21:33

Completed all levels and enjoyed a lot. Now i want more levels

captandrey 2019-10-10 21:42

Good levels, but order is strange.

arbe 2019-10-10 21:54

Definitely functional, though I wish I had more to say besides that.

phobos001 2019-10-10 21:58

"Yippee!"

*Collides on edge of wall*

"IiiiiIiiiiIiiiiiiiiiiiiI"

Great little casual game for your first compo! I will say the music was a bit grating though.

flying-dog-fish 2019-10-10 22:04

What a nice puzzle game.

fractal 2019-10-10 22:20

Very cool puzzle!

drrozza 2019-10-10 23:13

Great first time compo entry! To make 12 levels for the compo is a crazy achievement haha! Really liked the mechanics of the game, very clever. Sfx were great as well. I found some earlier levels harder than later ones but maybe that's just me.

ohsqueezy 2019-10-11 08:17

now this is what I'm talking about because this is an alien blob dressed up in formal attire ready for some action puzzles and it lets out a cheerful yip-py I would maybe suggest dropping the buttons entirely except maybe stop because the pieces could just be available on the playing field already and the play button could be clicking the blob just like the classic game march of the minis

zenris 2019-10-11 11:39

Fun game, good puzzle game.

akusan 2019-10-11 12:01

Great submission and great job on your 1st ever compo. This was a really fun game. Great job on the level scaling from really easy to challenging especially for a puzzle game. Probably need a better sound track that's a bit longer especially when looping especially if people listen to it for a long time lol. But it was really creative how you build your own levels. It's fun! thanks for sharing!

gamefive 2019-10-11 12:13

god game! great game!!!

simon-rahnasto 2019-10-11 20:24

Really well designed puzzles, it was a ton of fun playing through the game! Thank you for joining the stream

jonno 2019-10-11 23:34

A great example of a simple concept executed well. Look forward to seeing this grow and expanding on the idea. Hopefully having more than an 8 second sound loop as background music too ;)

zachary-shah 2019-10-12 13:54

I like it alot its really fun. Just some quality of life issues. My mind instantly wanted to hit space to start and stop the level so I dont need to move my mouse. I also wanted to drage the items instantly from the boxes to the level, but I had to click to create it then drag it in. Other than that a really good game!

egos 2019-10-12 14:46

really well designed (i wanted to do a gameplay like that ;))

The realisation is great

no problem until the end

As said improve ui and music and you have a good product (a suggestion : snap object on a grid )

coatline 2019-10-12 15:08

I'm Awesome, You're Welcome! Super cool game. This one was so fun and a great idea. The sound effects were very cute! I wish that there was a little more feedback when getting a star or falling off the map. The puzzles were great, great job with this entry!

welliton 2019-10-13 16:24

I love those kind of puzzle! It was a great pleasure playing all those 12 levels! It remainded me the great ~ the Incredible machine ~ series from 90`s! Awesome game!

dans17 2019-10-13 23:59

Cool game, nice job designing levels that introduce the mechanics and progressively get harder. I would like to see you expand on this with a greater variety of placeable objects and levels.

2019-10-14 18:38

**First of all, congratulations on your first ever compo entry!** I personally really like the compo because it forces me to consider all aspects of game development and follow the whole thing from start to finish.

.

Secondly, a small complaint:

I've noticed that you have received almost four times the number of ratings as you have given, and your Feed tab is almost entirely one- or two-line posts directing people to your game. While nothing is preventing you from doing this, it's nice to keep in mind the following things:

1. **Ludum Dare relies on rating others to function.** If you're receiving significantly more votes than you're giving, it means that somebody else's game is getting fewer votes than they've given. The Coolness system is generally pretty good at giving everyone a fair chance, but the system would break down if everyone only gave a fraction of the ratings they received.

2. The public feed exists largely to **share development stories, share resources and approaches, and encourage collaboration** and feedback between different parties in Ludum Dare. To my knowledge, there isn't an official set of guidelines, but I generally look for interesting stories or insight in the main feed. If you're going to make a post about your game, it's probably worth including information that is helpful for other developers. For instance, - A list of good and bad parts of your experience, and what you hope to do better in the future - A solution to a technical problem you had during the jam - A timelapse or tutorial on how you developed your game or assets - Some other interesting or useful content beyond an image and link to your game

Sorry for the rant. I hope to see more of your games in the future!

jedineeson 2019-10-14 20:12

Your right about the fact I dont have rate many game but I plan to make a marathon during the next weekend. I worked for a big studio and we are in a crunch period so I dont have enough time to play. I want to give the deserve ratings so I really want to take enough time to understand the game well.

On my commentary length, your probably right I should do it more detailled but I hate to say what is not good in a game because its all about creativity. I'm so admirative in participant of the Ludum Dare, this is a huge challenge so I focus on what is good in my comment.

Thank you for your feedback and dont feel bad to tell me that I dont rate enough games, I know it and I planned to do it more really soon!

-thank you

elysiagriffin 2019-10-30 02:34
