A tough puzzle game, nice work! However theme fitting should improve.

Good game but really hard! I don't know how to continue. Are there two different mirror rooms? a_bad_sign.PNG
Nice little game, I liked the block-jump mechanic. Just tricky enough to pull off consistently.
I like the puzzles! Nice and simple game, and the signs were enjoyable to read.
-oops, I double clicked the submit button on my comment, so I'll add some more feedback-
The sound effects were nice, but some music would've tied the game together! I like the art too, the character has some fun hair. Nice work!
Nicely done! It took a couple of loops to see what was going on, but once I got the hang of it the rest of the game proceeded pretty quickly. I learned that you can pick up a box, jump, place it in the air, and then just off it again, which sped up the early game, but really didn't help when I had to bring the key all the way up.
I feel like there was more story there that will just remain a mystery :)
There were some minor things you could improve on for next time. I had a little bit of tearing on the map tiles (you can do something like extrude the tiles out a space. Here's an example utility https://github.com/sporadic-labs/tile-extruder). Also, it would have been nice to have another set of animations for when the guy is carrying things :)
@justuspan There's 3 rooms in total. The key comes from the first room in the bottom-most door and the lock is in the second room through the 2nd level door.
@fronwewq Haha, that block-jump mechanic was totally unintentional. I didn't discover it myself until a couple hours before submitting and had no idea how to fix it. So I'll just call it a "speed-running strategy" :)
@blobo Thanks. I'm pretty inexperienced with pixel art and I'm happy/surprised at how well that character came out.
@minibobbo Thanks for that suggestion, it never occurred to me to stretch out the edges of the tiles a little bit to prevent gaps.
Hey nice job! I like the graphics and controls are nice! could you check out my game? :D
I picked up the key, dropped it, and it disappeared after going back through a door. Otherwise, it was pretty fun.
A fun little puzzler, with just the right difficulty level. Pretty solid mechanics. I found I could pick up block above my head while jumping, which seems a bit counterintuitive. It seems I needed that to progress, though.
Nice game. The main mechanic works quite well. Some of the art is a *little* rough around the edges, but that's too be expected especially for a Compo game, and the style is quite nice in my opinion. The main character looks good.
I don't have much else to say other than that some more stages and mechanics would be cool, but that's true of just about any game jam game, my own included. Good work overall.
Wow that was quite tricky. Took a while to figure out. Nice graphics and clever puzzles. Well done!
This game was enjoyable! I didn't think of reading the first sign multiple times at first so I missed some tips initially, but it all got figured out! Good job!

Cool little game! Fun gameplay, at many times I was just entering doors and piling boxes, lost, hopeless, but things ended built to my exit.
I Liked the graphics, proper sounds and nice touch of humor on this evil sign (why it behaves like this tho? 😁)
Nice job!
Cool game, nice visual!
It took me some time but I managed to make it to the top, pretty interesting game!
Good puzzle! Lots of fun. I managed to win after way too long. You could add some music or a dynamic background in the future. Nice job!
