Great artwork, you packed a lot of detail and game mechanics into such a short space of time, well done!

Your game seems pretty feature complete, which is awesome! It was a little frustrating having to deal with picking up and dropping items, auto pickup and dropping nearby just felt clunky. Overall great job.
@hyperbian-games Thanks and yeah, the picking up is really annoying. I did a couple different renditions of it right up until the deadline and couldn't get one that felt great. Thanks for playing and for the honest feedback though!
It's a very interesting game. Growing vegetables is very happy. I must try to live~
Like playing Harvest Moon only with a constant fear of slow, agonizing death due to starvation! My only complaint echoes what @hyperbian-games said, the auto-pickup is kinda annoying. Also, tilling an already tilled tile turning to grass gets old quick. Other than that, I really liked it! It hits a sweet spot between being stressful and fun.
Good project. The navigator in front of the player needs more fix/polish to be more accurate as sometimes it moves to a square that's not according to how player expect it to move. Also, the way items drop can get disruptive at times as player might want to drop it away from e.g. plant, but their item drops in front of the plant, making it harder for them to grab their intended item (plant). Fundamentally-wise, I think the game feels polished. So now you can continue iterating your game to make it more interesting. e.g. more plant types, weather system, etc.
I was a big idiot and didn't read the controls so I restarted my first run I really like the idea of the game but the pick up/drop felt a bit obtuse.
That's so hardcore! Buying seeds takes years off your life. I thought this would just be another farming game, then I killed myself by hanging around the store for 100 years. Second playthrough, I aged while waiting for my seeds to grow, watering them carefully every decade or so. Nice game.
Crafting/Farming games are really ambitious for game jams. It's so much easier to just crank out another twin-stick shooter or platformer. Props for the effort!
This is a game with great idea, great music and art but the controls were so hard and annoying! I can't count how many times I missed the spot I needed and how frustrated I got by dropping stuff. I'd love to play it with better controls. :)
@tamail I agree, thanks for the feedback. I didn't realize how much work it is to make farming controls feel "right" haha.
This game is a philosophical commentary on the life of a farmer; you grow, you grow old, you die. Life has never felt more futile. ;) The game itself is quite solid, even if a little difficult at times. Maybe a little more focus on intuitive control, but I'm not one to speak about that, haha. A good entry, none-the-less!
Great game! Even though the controls felt a bit off, the concept, music, art were awesome. Congrats on your Jam!
Man, why don't you ahve more ratings ? This game is really fun when you got it ! The controls are a bit hard to get used to but when you do it is a lot of fun. Some things to make this game better tho : - The controls are fine but when you drop an item it's dropped behind you, the logic would say that the object is dropped in front of you, many times I had to drop the held object 5/6 times in a row because I was too stupid to just go forward after dropping the object. - You could add some visual feedback when you are close to die. I had a nice big farm and got too greedy whit the seeds. I died because I bought too much seeds at once.
Great job man !
Good job with the game. I enjoyed the art and music the most. The picking up and dropping was a little bit hard but I was able to get used to it.
thanks for playing @cocapasteque and @enovyt . Yeah, for development I had the item dropping in front of you, but I kept running over things right after dropping. This felt a little better, but still not perfect. Thanks for the feedback!
@ghostgoatsgames I would add : Make the selection of the cells (the black square) with the mouse, it would be much easier I think :)
Amazing game. Really liked the mechanics. It's kind of fun. The game lacks polish, tho that's mostly because this is a compo game. Controls are a bit hard. You can make the player move 1 tile every time. Like chess pieces. That way it's much easier to pick-up stuff.
The second thing is accidentally picking up the water bottle is really frightening. Maybe there could be a small inventory like slot 1 is always here for the water bottle, you cant drop it, etc.
After 2 games. I learned the mechanics and game was super easy. After I made the first food. There is not much more to do. There should be a second mechanic that forced the player to always cook something and never stop. Maybe you get younger when you eat veggies but you get old faster.
Other than that, the mechanics are great. I would love to see a party game made with this idea.

A very funny concept! Combining a keep-alive race with a farming simulator is clever :) I found myself tripping over the interface a little (repeatedly dropping and then mistakenly re-picking up the same item) But once I figured out where the items would drop, it was pretty easy to get going.
All of the UI is quite messy. It could use some polish. Otherwise great entry! Good luck!
Had fun with this one! I love the beard! Controls felt clunky. Would have preferred it if the square my character was in was the square I was interacting with.
As other people have said, the controls are very clunky, but it’s quite good anyway!
If the controls were better I would have played this a few more times but picking up and dropping got frustrating, plus selecting the square I wanted also was a pain. I loved the concept and idea, just needed some work on the execution. Catchy music and I liked the artwork.
