Neat little puzzle game. I dunno if it bugged out but Portia stopped summoning portals for me? Maybe something triggered her portals that I wasn't aware of. Music and art are both really nice. Great job!

Nice puzzle game, with great art and music! The game is somewhat difficult to understand, but once you get it, its pretty entertaining. Anyway, very solid game for being made in 48 hours :)

I love the concept of this gameplay loop, trying to keep citizens safe from spreading fire long enough to extract them through the portal. It's the sort of "stay safe for X turns" that Into the Breach was all about. There are a lot of interesting techniques that could be used to beat levels, such as trying to deal enough damage to a fire block to destroy it, separating citizen's and their buildings completely from the source of fire etc. I'm sad that portals kept failing to spawn however :( Glitches happen in short jams like this though, and the concept/execution was good, nice work!

Very pretty graphics!

I love the graphics and general feel of this, and I enjoyed the core gameloop you're building here. Cool concept, and I liked the sense of time pressure from the collapsing blocks.

I enjoyed this game a lot. This is a straightforward, but clever, game with a bunch of polish and some really nice visuals and audio which is amazing for a game jam. I had that nice "aha" moment when the mechanics clicked for me and I realised exactly what to do which was really satisfying. Great job!

Incredibly glad someone made a game in this style, it looks great!

Well done!

Oh I adore this. The art is great, especially with the CGA-esque colour palette. You made some really cute characters and detailed tiles basically in monochrome, which is super impressive. The music and sound fit very well with the game play. The puzzles were excellent, since they gave you the opportunity to plan several moves ahead. Absolutely great job

Very nice game! It wasn’t easy but still pretty interesting! Sometimes it was a bit difficult to predict the chain reactions that would happen from block falling several times. I like the art style as well!

You have some nice mechanics here, but I didn't understand the right strategy to teleport the guys, everyone was dying ... I DO appreciate the effort you took to make a tutorial and the simple but efficient graphics. Good job!

Great graphics and really fun game mechanics. :) The music was really fitting as well, but after playing for a while, the loop was really starting to get into my head. xD

Great game! I'm not so sure if I understood everything though. I elaborated a technique where I port the citizens to the roofs, avoiding cascading crashes in columns with citizens. Then I send them to the portal one after each other. But in a later level portia was on fire and then died I suppose? Without her I couldn't do anything because eventually everything else burned down. Could I have saved Portia or avoid her catching fire?

@frodewin thanks for playing! It's a solid technique :) No, you did it right - the fire that consumes Portia is a scripted event and you can't save her. I suppose the only way to save her is to stop sending her into raging infernos.
