Extremely cute style ! the character made me think of kurzgesagt videos. The game is really neat, the only thing that bothered me was that when i started falling faster and faster the vertical scrolling became difficult for my eyes.. apart from that: congrats its a really cool game !

Nice entry! It had me hooked really qucikly and I played several round! I am not great...
it really packs a punch visually, but it get hard (too fast) a bit too quickly. But that's maybe a good thing, since it doesn't seem to have a lot going on after that ? Maybe having more items or something to get too would make the game have a longer live (or am I so bad at it that I missed the longer game ?)

Very nice art! I managed to get 2.1km on my best run. Reminds me of some old flash games I would play as a kid. My only critique is that it can be a bit difficult to tell the power-ups apart when you're falling fast. It's hard to know whether or not to risk dodging cans to pick it up, as armor seems to max out at 3. Overall very nice!
Nice! The into was really well done. For some reason I originally thought I was supposed to collect all the trash... but second time got to 1.1km. Not sure if there is a bottom... Would love to see some added mechanics after a bit, like power ups I can trigger e.g. clear the screen. But the ones you had were good!

Only (very) minor feedback I have is : its hard to know how many "lives" (or knights) I have left, because looking at the top right while falling felt too dangerous. That being said the UI (the main menu and the death menu in particular) were extremelly well made. Very impressive for a Game Jam.
Also really loved the little animation when starting a new run ! Made the game looked very polished ! Great job !

Really charming and quite simple, polished game! Loved the intro cutscene. The small animations made it feel more lively, and "investigate" button sure was a nice transition to the game. As much as I like the art and how detailed the objects are, it gets a bit hard to see the difference between the power-ups and the obstacles when things falls faster. Maybe create more distinct difference between the two? For example if the power-ups had less "information" to process, or have a more simple design, compared to the obstacles, so that the two look visually different? Or maybe tweaking the background colour of the power-ups to give it more even contrast than the obstacles? Just thinking out loud, and there's only so much you can do within a time limit. As a game jam, this is really good. None of these minor things ruined the game experience. So keep up the good work!
TrashDash is a story about the lengths you'll go to to save your ice cream before it hits the floor. Strange sinkholes be damned, I want that triple scoop! It's a fast, frantic free fall, just mind the soda cans and virtual pets.
Little touches like Rulu being so happy you got an extra hit, devastated at getting hit, the faint wilhelm when you start the game and the fact I could play this with something a little more nuanced like a mouse, says to me that a lot of love went into the design, and it's great. One thing I noticed is when I got hit once, I was almost guaranteed to hit another thing in quick succession. Didn't feel like there was enough invincibility frames after getting hurt to get my bearings back. Hey, weaving through GameBoys and socks is not something I expected to do today, but I'm glad I did!
