LD52 — Harvest

Beat & Feast by JoshKirby 2023-01-23T23:47:56Z

Fun game, I enjoy rythem game a lot so this was a plesant surprise. Though I did find it kind of unfortunate to have to hit the notes on the upper-left screen. I could barely see the smiling, fun fuzz-ball with my peripheral vision. In the future, perhaps it would be nice to avoid the edges of the screen when you're going to hit the beat?

As an avid rythemgame player, it was nice to not see how accurate I could hit the notes, which made me more focused on hitting the buttons rather than focusing on if I hit them accurately (for a change). Though it wouuld have been nice to see at the result screen how many I've missed or hit.

I did notice the note chart changing every game, or at least that's how it would seem to me. Only slight changes to inputs, but similar combo patterns appears. From my experience, this makes the game more about trying to hit the right notes at the right time, rather than learning the note chart till you master the beat.

Regardless it's impressive the amount of work done within a limited time. GG

PS. Quite creative to see bread, cheese etc. below the arrow keys. Fits with the kitchen.

LD53 — Delivery

ΗΠΛ Debate Club by Ava Skoog 2023-05-03T19:11:53Z

The gameplay was fun. Playing a rhythm game combined with a debate was such an interesting concept. Great work!

Package Panic by Porcus_Pie 2023-05-04T20:51:39Z

Cool concept. Combining delivery with tetris, but with a twist. I quite enjoyed the acrcade style in this game. The pixel art was good and I enjoyed the music that was playing the background. Great work!

Game Genie: Crunch Time by LandoSystems 2023-05-03T11:03:27Z

A colourful and chaotic game, quite quirky I have to say. I enjoyed playing it. Great work!

Heart-Warming Deliveries by Joscco 2023-05-03T10:49:32Z

Great art and fun gameplay! After around level 4, the puzzle started to get difficult.

Isekai Delivery by Profugo Barbatus 2023-05-02T21:37:42Z

Great art and fun endings. It was fun watching the animations and also when Truck-kun did its job. I enjoyed it, despite the lack of engagement. Great work!

Hellfire Pizza by AploveStudio 2023-05-03T10:52:44Z

Fun dialouge and great art. The story was interesting and the ending was unexpected.

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-03T10:58:18Z

Great art style and interesting gameplay!

Another World Hero Delivery Service by AntonyMo 2023-05-04T21:40:45Z

Great illustrations and fun game. Though I do sometimes wonder if I could ever make the goddess content with all of my succesful delivery as a delivery boy. Though I have to admit it was hard to read what the messages says at the bottom right corner of the screen when you hit a target. When playing full screen it is kind of out of vision when you focus your eyes right in the middle of the screen. Which left me curious of what happened to the people I've isekaied. Perhaps a more clearer pop up or have the message stay a little bit longer to be able to read? Regardless, good game!

The long way around by Fluburbio 2023-05-04T21:19:06Z

I enjoyed the string of side quests from one delivery to another. I'm basically the mailman at this point making all these deliveries to these people. Great choice of colour scheme and love the pixel artstyle. A bit clunky with movements when it comes to moving around, and activating a dialogue unintentionally when I pass by. But regardless, great work!

Dear friend by hmrpf 2023-05-03T21:00:25Z

Stunning visuals and realxing music. The premise of delivering a message by bird was fun, despite it getting harder futher in. Great job!

Fishy Shipments by Eli Heinrichs 2023-05-03T20:09:07Z

The visuals and music combined with fishing created such a relaxing atmosphere. Until the crabs came, and peace was never the same... I would have fried those pesky crabs on the campfire and eaten them for breakfast if I could. Props to the music!

Wound Ward - ready! by Dhar 2023-05-02T21:40:29Z

Great art and interesting game. Lot of effort put on the animations, which made the game more lively.

Am I your "Type"? by pralista 2023-05-03T10:55:55Z

A charming game with stunning visuals. The gameplay was fun. Have not encountered that many typing games like this. Great work!

Project Spirit by Naive Games 2023-05-04T21:04:40Z

Cute characters in the game. The game felt really simple, but the idea of delivering thoughts to loved ones surely was touching. Though I would have wished there was more to the game. Regardless, good work!

LD54 — Limited Space

Plan It Out! by Decipator 2023-10-12T18:14:48Z

Really simple and relaxing game. I really enjoyed it despite it being short. Though it took some time for "healthy lunch" to start spawning. Nevertheless, great work!

Align The Sky by CursedEmbassy 2023-10-18T20:07:50Z

@myrmyxo Thanks for trying out the game! Now that you point it out, I see the similarites. I drew the character in the (almost) most time saving way possible, so the artstyle was a coincidence. I guess the eyes and the face shape is what tipped it off? It's a long time since I watched a playthrough of Deep Sea Prisoner.

Profound Tribulations Arise from the Pursuit of a Decadent Fool by Cam Moore 2023-10-06T20:36:23Z

Top-notch singing and humour! What can I say? Great art, really set the vibe. Fun game. I enjoyed it. *clap* *clap* Great entry!

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing by ottos 2023-10-12T18:38:45Z

Great story, lovable characters, nice art. Personally found this quite the soild game in 3 days. A plesant surprise it was made in RPG maker MV, I would certainly see this as a source of inspiration! Really great work! The dialouges was a strong point here.

Crime Duty by HellHound 2023-10-06T19:42:43Z

Glad I came back for the patched up version! Really enjoyed how each room changed into a more disturbing version of itself. Music helped set the vibe of the game, that's good. Great work with the cutscene illustrations and the UI designs. However, a bit bland when it comes to backgrounds, but I think all the objects makes up for that. Really enjoyed how the end played out. It made me more interested and wonder what could possibly have happened that lead to this case. The horror aspect I feel was also a strong point. Some of those object were quite eerie to say the least. Great job!

Room Life by Hinamarina 2023-10-06T18:55:45Z

I like how simple the gameplay is in this, and yet the graphics and the details in the animations makes the characters feel more alive and relatable. Great work! Wholesome ending.

Magical Trial: Kiki's Service by Hongxin Li 2023-10-06T20:14:07Z

Great work with the UI design and illustration! Interesting interpetation of the theme. Perhaps a bit long time timer? I often find myself waiting an extra minute till the statue starts moving. There was more than enough time to bring most of the things to the statue. So it didn't feel like there was enough challenge. I do wish there was some sort of indication that shows if the platform you're standing on is about to fall down. So that there's time to move. Have experienced the same when it comes to handful of bugs. Distorted items when carrying them around and sometimes locking player movements, unless you restart. I like how the music adds to the setting, wish it looped while playing. Nevertheless, great job with the game!

Claustrorush by Neon Kuroasa 2023-10-06T19:44:23Z

Great work! I really like the interpetation of the theme. Compliments to the graphics as well. Personally, I found pixel art as a nice nod to the retro feel of the game. The controls were a bit slippery, which made it a bit of a challenge to jump around at the start. Overall, a fun game to break own top scores.

Got top score of 20 917. With the walls being so close futher in the game, I was basically dual mashing the jump button while running against the wall. That was really fun (serious)

Celestial Retaliation by Digol 2023-10-06T19:45:41Z

Overall great work for your first entry! The graphics are great and especially the title screen. I liked the colour scheme being used in the game. Personally found it a bit hard to tell when you get hit by enemy's attack when you move around so much and trying to dodge. Perhaps some sort of visual could be added? For instance a red flash on the screen or the ship itself, or perhaps the ship flickering. Nevertheless great work, and I hope your team creates more games in the future!

PS: Title screen music was funky

Trapped by HomuraP 2023-10-06T20:01:31Z

It's great that you're using this opportunity as a learning experience. Working with an unfamiliar engine can pose to many challenges. Hope your team continues to create more games and wish you the best of luck in the future!

LD57 — Depths

Punch Miner by recursor 2025-04-12T21:30:55Z

The game refelcts the theme pretty well. Despite the clunky controls, the animation is pretty smooth.

Down by Skyeward 2025-04-12T21:24:22Z

Fun short game that can be played multiple times. Made it to the bottom. Sometimes the animated text makes it hard to read, because the size changes to the point that it changes its placement on the screen. Really like the art and how the gameplay reflects the theme. Great work!

Sound the Innersea by tukisboolukis 2025-04-12T21:53:46Z

The pixel art in this game is great! Good work at creating an immersive atmosphere. Though sometimes its hard to know when it's useful to use the sonar. It helps locating those fishes that tries to headbutt the sub. Though it is a bit hard to escape when the energy gets empty fast when trying to switch between thrusting and using the bullets.

The Greater Depths by bacontree 2025-04-10T21:22:47Z

I got scared playing the ghost section. The ghost combined with the sound effect really got to me. But I really liked the way you created the atmosphere! It certainly set a certain tone to the game.

Kika's Eggsplosive Descent by kazuo256 2025-04-09T20:03:49Z

Really fun and solid gameplay! Great work on making an addictive game. It really makes you want to beat your own high score and see how the sceneary changes. It had such a pleasant artstyle to look at. Great work, really!

Dice of Fates by qui 2025-04-20T18:58:14Z

Interesting concept. It was a bit confusing trying to figure out that I was supposed to get/create all the characters from the book. But once you figure it out, the game makes more sense. I loved how the art really set the mood and setting to the game. And the character design are quite unique. I would say great job on the game!

Scrab the Scrabbler by schadocalex 2025-04-09T20:19:48Z

Such a charming and unique game! Loved the art and the gameplay. The pastell colours sure made the game feel more relaxing to play.

There were mulitple times I struggled to get enough points to proceed to the next level. because there were no fishes left to capture. Wish there was a way to restart just the level and not the whole game. Maybe it would have given me more of a chance to try different words than I've used previously, to get enough points. If the case is that the letters appears randomly in each level/map. Nevertheless, this is really great work for a jam. Well done!

TrashDash by JPiolho 2025-04-20T19:55:50Z

Really charming and quite simple, polished game! Loved the intro cutscene. The small animations made it feel more lively, and "investigate" button sure was a nice transition to the game. As much as I like the art and how detailed the objects are, it gets a bit hard to see the difference between the power-ups and the obstacles when things falls faster. Maybe create more distinct difference between the two? For example if the power-ups had less "information" to process, or have a more simple design, compared to the obstacles, so that the two look visually different? Or maybe tweaking the background colour of the power-ups to give it more even contrast than the obstacles? Just thinking out loud, and there's only so much you can do within a time limit. As a game jam, this is really good. None of these minor things ruined the game experience. So keep up the good work!

Absolve by NinjaCatz 2025-04-09T21:46:17Z

The cover art really caught my interest and the game did not dissapoint. It was very fun to play. From how the game is set up gameplay, and art. They really fit together! Great work!

Home Deep Home by YogurtTheHorse 2025-04-09T23:21:50Z

I definetely lost track of time playing this. This was such relaxing game to play. I really enjoyed it. Took some time to realize where I was supposed to place all of the facilites. But I figured it out after a while. Great work!

Slip Stream by Profugo Barbatus 2025-04-09T11:37:59Z

Really liked the artstyle. Fun that you play as a vtuber. I have played a game where you have to move around by using a chair. That was unique. Keep up the great work and the humour as well!

Murder for Dessert by Fupi 2025-04-12T22:48:51Z

It quite fun seeing the contrast between the setting and the characters. And the music really set the tone of the game. With how this game introduces these characters, it makes me think that you really had fun with the dialouges. I like that. Great submission!

Depth Self - A narrative game by Flokami 2025-04-09T12:20:25Z

I'm so glad there was a guide! I wouldn't be able to reach the ending on my own. I'm glad I got to see how it ended. Have never played such an interactive, meta game before, so this was a very interesting game! The puzzles were a bit tricky when it comes to trying to fit all the windows together precicely, but figured out in the end. Great work!

Grimm Syndrome by Missfire 2025-04-11T19:01:47Z

I absolutely loved the game! Really solid for a game jam. What I loved about this game is how it splits between rythem game and the rpg/story section. I have not played anything like that since "Rhythm thief and the emperor's treasure" on the 3DS. So this made me invested. The story is interesting enough that it kept me engaged and I liked the character designs.

At the last stage of the rythem game part, I really appricated that the hitboxes and the amount of times I can push the wrong buttons are forgiving (at least compared to what I'm used to). One inconviniencee was that the "->" button is placed on the third column from the left. This is just a personal prefrence, but having the "->" feels more intuitive to have all the way to the right, considering how the arrow keys are placed on the keyboard. Otherwise I really had to focus when more notes were approaching. But it certainly didn't ruin the experience. Again this is really good work considering this is a jam. Great job!

Maps of The Darkness by Wolfier 2025-04-09T12:07:34Z

It's a bit hard to come across a place where you can use the money you've collected to upgrade your gear. Fartheset I've traveled was to floor 5, so it could be that I didn't survive long enough to reach that place yet. It's a big map, so traveling through different rooms and hallways felt a bit long. Maybe the rooms could be smaller?

Though I really enjoyed the part where you can create your own map! It becomes a bit clunky when it's small on screen. Because I would misclick to the adjacent box instead. If it was perhaps bigger, or the hitboxes were a bit bigger, it would be more easier to draw the map more quickly and efficently while you explore the dungeon.

Nevertheless, this is great work for just being one person!

Vanity Check by NoNumbersGames 2025-04-09T11:21:57Z

It's fun seeing your interpetation of the different vanities. One of them wanted my shoe, so I didn't give it to them

Miku Miku Dungeon! Penguin Ice Rescue by Miku 2025-04-13T17:55:17Z

I was quite impressed when I first started the game. The art, pixel art and the UI was wow for a jam. Quite unique that there was a rythem game element in the game (while some would say it's more so QTE). To be fair, that's pretty fitting considering Miku is in it. The choice of music really set the mood in certain scenes. And dialouges were a were fun to read. Makes me want to know what's going to happen after being left of a semi-cliffhanger. Well done!

Deathtective by 5apper 2025-04-09T11:26:15Z

I loved the mystery solving aspect of the game, and trying to piece together all the information! Was able to find the true culprit in the end. Great work!

Deathtective by 5apper 2025-04-09T11:29:17Z

...I'm so sorry for duplicate comments... There was a glitch when I tried to post...

DEPTH FIRST by PassbyKamenRider 2025-04-10T21:45:16Z

Loved the character design in the game! The dialouge was fun to read, especially the mad scientist. The gameplay is good, however it becomes hard to clear higher levels without being able to look around the map. Other than that, the dialouges made me smile. Great job!

Dream-Scape by bravelytyped 2025-04-09T20:12:10Z

The nightmare guy sure was scary. Really sold the fear factor there. I couldn't get past the second level. I wake up from the dream the momment the nightmare monster attacks few platforms behind me. Though it could be that I wake up if i can't escape the level fast enough before it arrives. Nevertheless, it was a fun game to try out. Keep up the good work!

Doodley Descent by LarsieVL 2025-04-12T22:09:33Z

Nice and simple game! I liked how I had to save my dashes for when you really needed it. If given more time, it would be nice to have some sort of labeling in the game itself about the bar on the left - That you can now dash because there's enough energy. Otherwise, this was a fun short game. Though I died in the end when suddenly the whole screen was littered with obstacles - so I guess that's where it was supposed to end. Great work on your submission!

Excapade by Ch48 2025-04-10T20:36:04Z

Quite polished game I have to say. Was really fun and the control/movements were so smooth! This game really reminded me of the old bombers game. I loved the UI-design during battle. Really made it visually pleasing to the eye. After upgrading my tools a couple of times and oneshot the enemies, the game play felt a bit empty. Wished there was more to do afterwards if there were more time. It was fun while it lasted though. Great submission!

Not Too Deep by Crak 2025-04-09T11:33:11Z

Really fun game! Had to play it mulitple times and used my drawing tablet to be more precice. Fun and interesting approach to the theme. Great submission!

Amigasa by Nakadashi 2025-04-10T22:12:04Z

I was impressed by the style of the illustrations and in between the boss battles. It was nice balance between the learning the story and the gameplay. Besides the sensetive camera controls, the gameplay reminds me of bullet hell games. I really liked how each boss were unique. In both design and their attack patterns. Great work!

Out of Nothing by xhuriken 2025-04-09T19:39:44Z

It was fun trying to create different types of things. I was more so stunned by the UI at the start. Looked really nice!

Mewnion café by yvaine 2025-04-09T11:09:49Z

Really relaxing and charming game with pretty art! Loved the title screen and the explenation of the game when I started the game. Great submission!

Down the Rabbit Hole by Mirinae 2025-04-11T17:42:24Z

It was really interesting seeing how you interpeted different skills as attacks for each boss. Though unfortunetely I died on the third boss. Would have been great if there was a restart level button, if given more time. The art is lovely, and I really enjoyed the story. Nevertheless, great work!

Lyfe – Rhythm Meets Dungeon by Hypersomnia 2025-04-09T21:52:32Z

I really enjoyed the rythem game. Though it is quite difficult to aniticipate which button to press considering you have around 1-2 seconds to react from the momment they appear. Maybe the lanes could be a bit longer so you have a little more time to see those notes approaching? Otherwise I just had to memorize the note chart. Thought there were going to be more than one level after clearing the first one. Unless I must have missed something. Nevertheless, great work!

BLOBFISH BISTRO by dumchevdev 2025-04-10T00:10:56Z

Relaxing game, the background music sure sold the resturant vibe. I enjoyed playing the game despite the lack of consequences if you give them wrong order or let them wait too long in the line, or too long for their food. The art is really great, so keep up the good work in the future!

Stars In The Deep by angry_fridge 2025-04-09T11:17:21Z

Simple and fun game! Sometimes I feel that surfacing up is a bit slower compared to when you swim down. But that did make it more intense trying not to die from the scary monster below. Great monster and great work on this!

Miner by basekeet 2025-04-13T17:08:04Z

Really fun beginning intro! Great work on that. I found it uniqe that the upgrades are cards that you collect. Though it does feel like time is too short. However, the digging feels pretty smooth - keep up the good work!

Wild Focus by Sooriyan 2025-04-09T11:04:12Z

It's a great game! I like how the theme fits with the game and its setting. Great art, really made it immersive with the audio.

Fridge Dive by Gothamz 2025-04-15T00:06:32Z

The premise is fun and relateable. This is quite unique take on the theme. I really like the QTE in the game, and the art as well. It's fun that you have to be strategic with which path you should take that makes the less noise. Though it's sometimes difficult to manuver I feel in the third level, when the picked up item hovers around too much. Especially in a very cluttered area. Moving the camera there didn't help so much when trying to gauge the depth perception. Nevertheless, this game felt quite solid besides the few hiccups here and there. Great job on the game!
