Lovely game, especially the music and colors. I just wish there were checkpoints because it's surprisingly hard but I can't get past the dive near the end, I just want to hear the rest of the song :cry:

Great entry! I love the wet pastel crayon art and the color scheme. The animations are just adorable as well, and very well-made. It creates an inviting world that is a pleasure to look at.
The music compliments the graphics extremely well and definitely adds to the whole atmosphere.
Gameplay is deceptively simple :laughing:. In reality, it's fiendishly difficult to finish. I think a half-way checkpoint would be nice. Right after the stairs, before the madness starts, there is a perfect place for it. I bet that would make more people persist in trying.
It feels a bit strange that you "crash" when you go too high in the sky. I guess "there be monsters" there :wink:
Overall - awesome game and superb interpretation of the theme!
@fabula-rasa Thanks for your feedback ! I think we might have done it a bit too hard ahah. We were wondering about the crash in the sky. Our direct references was sidescrollers like flappy bird and we kept it that way. We were talking about bouncing back into the scene if you go too high but didn't try in the end. the art is amazing! couldn't get to the game of it since i don't have much patience and get frustrated easily especially loving how the bird and the houses look

Really fun game, it is like geometry dash but way calmer and relaxing which is definetly nice, it can take a while to beat but with enough practice is doable.
Really great job with the artwork and the UI - it all works together so well. The game is bit too difficult for me as well, so I didn't manage to reach the end, but I don't mind cause it all looks so lovely!
As most of the comments mention, the art style and sound direction are fantastic! I love the blue contrasts over the pink background to indicate areas you can fly through while adding a level of detail and intrigue to the setting! Music was awesome too!

Beautiful art and audio ! I think the tweeting sound was a little too present and repetitive, and the game is very challenging, however you learn fast what to do and I had a lot of fun, even if I wasn't able to finish it (yet). Good job !
Simple but fun. A random generator for the map and high scores would make it more replayable. The graphics are amazing.

This was an all around excellent game. Gorgeous art and presentation, great take on the theme, smooth gameplay, and a challenge that was difficult but not unfair.
I really love the art style and music and how they both fit each other. Really beautiful game. It's challenging but not challenging enough that I couldn't beat it. It's basically improved Flappy Bird, in a good way!. Good job on this! One of the better games I've played so far!
Wow! Beautiful aesthetics. I love the graphics and the music. (Though the music did cut out after a bit). The game is difficult, but not too difficult. I'd love to see more levels, new level themes, and even diving deeper into the "press space to fly" mechanic. Maybe areas where you can loop around or an obstacle that chases you (another bird?). Great game.

@aaronkaa The game was randomly generated at first, but for the jam we decided to do only one good level, rather than -sometimes- unfair random tiles. But it's already built and with some minor changes, it could be a things. Endless mode or daily maybe we'll see. Thanks for your feedback :pray:

Great work on this! I thought the art style was really appealing and the gameplay feels really smooth. Despite being really simplistic, there's a decent amount of depth to the gameplay (it definitely feels like there's some techniques you could use to get to the end faster)!

Beautiful and challenging without begin unfair.
Yet another flappy bird bird clone. Which isn't a bad thing. Loved the graphics+mood of the game & it's very polished. After what felt like one hundred attempts, I finally won! (I'm terrible at these types of games.)
Wow, wonderful art style! The hand-drawn graphics really steal the show here, and the music/sfx are perfectly integrated too. The smooth flight mechanics feel really good, and I love how the color choices help to pop out the foreground elements and make them easier to dodge. I also really like the letter icon at the bottom that smoothly updates your progress. This is all just very well put together and a joy to play!
Amazing art style, maybe my favorite so far. It was interesting how the music and aesthetic were so comforting while juxtaposed to the frantic difficult gameplay. Tried very hard to beat but couldn't quite deliver the letter!

Like previously mentioned, such a nice style of art that stands out a lot, the colors give off a superb fantasy & harmony feeling to it that is enhanced by the ambience & sound overall. Game-play was fun, gotta dodge em all, though I could have liked to see more content there, but there's always time after jam, to make it stand out even more, anyway it's a lovely little game!
The game feels so soothing with beautiful art and music, it's almost like mindfulness state of mind until you crash on the wall :laughing: I love it! Maybe you could add some instructions that you don't need to press space bar that fast. Instead of pressing space bar too frequently you should hold the button down so you can keep the bird in the air. It took a little while to figure that out. Good game altogether :thumbsup:

As everyone else has mentioned, the art style is incredible. It's so soft and comfy I feel like it'd fit right into Steam's Indie Games page. The music goes together with it so well. I love how it picks up as you progress your route and I like how soft the sound is when you crash. I also like how the camera keeps up with the speed of the owl, it's such a small thing but it makes so much sense that it'd go faster as you float down faster. The art, audio, and simple gameplay (but challenging level) go together just so so so well! This is honestly my favorite submission I've seen so far!

At first when I saw "side scroller one button game" I thought it would be boring. But it turned out to be one of my favorites games so far. When you take a simple concept and polish it as much as this game did you get something awesome. I loved the art, loved the song. They create such an amazing mood. And completing the game felt so satisfying. There is just not enough praise I can give it.
I really love the ambience/colot palette! Once you get the hang of it, you really want to beat the level! Nice job!

Beautiful game and the physics feel super responsive and great to play! First I thought the environment was a bit hard to read, as in what you collide with and what you don't, but in the end I think it added a unique feel to the game many other games like this lack. The difficulty was on the high end but I was able to beat it after a reasonable amount of attempts, great work all around!
The game looks AMAZING and the music fits also very well for a good mood ! Simple gameplay, challenging enough with the level design... Just, well done :clap:

Clicked on this game because of the graphics, and visually it is stunning - the palette, the style, everything is great. The gameplay is interesting and fun for me, however it's a bit hard controlling the bird with a mouse (and I played on touchpad so it felt even harder). But it's nice that the layout doesn't change, so you remember the route already and start moving forward with each try. Overall, an amazing game, thank you!
The concept is simple, but that's the beauty of it. It's addicting, so you want to go through it to the end.

This is wonderful! It's fun, polished, it has really nice graphics and audio and it's challenging!
The art style is SO pretty! I like the music, it feels really appropriate, both cute and airborny! The insect sounds were a bit loud and grated on my ears a bit though. I like how it's not the same level every time, randomly generated. This is the sort of game I think of when I think of the theme "delivery", well done!
Cute little game, I really like the art style. Maybe you should mention that it is the Space key - or am I the only one trying multiple times to figure which button it is? :smile:

It looks really lovely! The visuals are incredible and the gameplay is like a very sophisticated flappybird-like. I find it hilarious when the bgm is getting all mysterious and intriguing and you just splatter over the wall.

I love how unforgiven and abruptal this game ends (TUFF) on any mistake, despite the colorfull festive mood.
A nice game here, challening, I felt like an AI learning to play it, but that was fun. My only complain is that sometines you can't tell obstacle from background.

Really beautiful and challenging game! It was difficult but I wanted to keep playing, the difference in rhythm vs Flappy Bird was interesting and fun :)
This was incredible! You all did an amazing job creating a game with a super cohesive and beautiful atmosphere. I think the music, art and gameplay all worked really well together. The gameplay itself was simple, but (for me) just the right difficulty to be challenging, but not so challenging that I wanted to give up. It took me a couple of tries, but in the end I managed to deliver the letter. I also really liked how the music just cut out the moment you crashed. That gave a real sense of 'you messed up there' XD
One small thing I whished I would have seen was a little more story telling. I think it would have been a great cherry on top if there were light hints of what kind of letter you were delivering, and be able to read it at the end. But I am probably asking too much for a jam game there :P Another minor criticism was that the frame rate was a bit low for me, but that might have been because I was playing it in the browser.
Anyway, really stellar job! I loved the game to bits and it is definitely one of the best jam games I have played so far :D I do have a soft spot for simple, but beautiful games, and this definitely fits that description :P
Super pretty game~ you guys really nailed the flying. It felt really smooth. I like how you built on top of flappy bird for a less silly game but keeping the same easy-to-learn hard-to-master controls. Unfortunately I was defeated by the level and gave up. Besides the level tuning, having a checkpoint might help for longer levels.

Though the ambiance of the game is very relaxing, the actual gameplay is addicting. With the easy control and intuitive game feedback, it was really quick to pick up and learn flight movements. I also appreciate the gradual introduction of obstacle difficulty - nice game design!
I especially want to note that the music is awesome - it fits the mood and captures bird movement perfectly! Very impressive.
Beautiful game, never thought I'd enjoy a flappy bird like game mechanic this much, but the movement feels really good, you can feel the weight of the bird. Gets quite hard at certain points, but worth the journey! Good job guys!

I crashed this poor bird way too many times but in the end my dear friend got the letter ! I loved the music, the style and the warm palette ! This might be my favorite entry so far ! Very good job !
