LD53 — Delivery

Air Delivery by pianoman373 2023-05-04T03:03:48Z

This game is incredible. And on top of that, it was done in Pico-8. The gameplay is perfect. Platforming controls are amazing, and the atmosphere and music fit perfectly. Great submission.

Station Run by smilewood 2023-05-02T03:32:40Z

I can't figure out how to make the first jump.

Elite Delivery. Pizza Dangerous by boddiul 2023-05-04T03:02:48Z

Super fun 3d Pico-8 game! I'm always so impressed by what people can do with such limitations. I love the space invaders vibes I'm getting from it too. And the feel of it is just perfect.

Rude Bear Rebirth by alexrose 2023-05-03T00:48:03Z

Really fun, but difficult at parts. Some parts took me a while to get through. Also, I love how the bird conveniently forgot to say I could change the length of the rope. The checkpoints in general felt like they were a good distance apart.

Spaghetti Rails by milano23 2023-05-02T04:19:35Z

Nice game, nice idea. A little hard to start with how big the screen was (gotta love game jam export issues). I also didn't see the play button.

Storkdown by TolMera 2023-05-04T03:42:36Z

I can play it now! Looks like you got some basic UI done. Can't figure out much gameplay here though.

IceCream Van by notnasiul 2023-05-04T03:01:18Z

I didn't even deliver ice cream. I had a ton of fun just running over customers and trying not to get shot! xD Amazing Pico-8 game!!

Carriers by paulhocker 2023-05-03T02:50:18Z

This is such a good idea. Carrier pigeons are so fun. I love that the game wasn't too difficult to get. Also, I was digging the aesthetic. Go Godot!

LD53: House Delivery! by burnedkirby 2023-05-02T13:35:36Z

It's ok! Keep delivering.

TrainTrackTrouble by dikkop 2023-05-04T03:34:50Z

Another train game! I tried the url and it isn't working. Can you let me know when it's ready?

Don't get fired! by Zettelkasten 2023-05-02T03:26:38Z

I loved the "Na na na na.. nana na na na na"

Delivery Corp. by darwyn 2023-05-03T00:31:32Z

Fun! I spent way too much time playing this, but maybe it's the nature of the game. The game was really easy to start playing and understand, so +1 for that.

Life hits hard sometimes by damdoshi 2023-05-04T03:33:16Z

Getting a 404 with the link. Is there a way to play this?

Spycraft: Echelon City by NicMagnier 2023-05-03T04:37:17Z

this turned out really great. It's like a 3d "Where's Waldo". I love the 2d sketch characters in the 3d environment. The lamp posts and posters on the wall alse make for a really cool aesthetic here. It was kind of fun just looking around at all the people. Also, Go Godot!

Squaregot Survivor by cdunham 2023-05-02T23:51:25Z

Cool idea, looking for peoples' names in the files. No music, but the honk to let you know about a new task was a nice touch. Some feedback: It took me a couple minutes before I figured out what to do. (Reading the instructions would have helped, but I prefer to just dive in to the game)

Out of Pigeons by Fuzzy Lobster 2023-05-02T03:38:32Z

Cool rope swing mechanic. This is one of the best games I've seen thus far. Good job.

Give Birth by kabloosh 2023-05-02T04:28:11Z

Haha, somebody had to do it. Nice job.

Ice Cream Express by Steven Garberg 2023-05-03T00:46:20Z

Delivering ice cream. Cute characters. The map didn't feel like it quite matched the rest of the graphics. Would be nice if I didn't have to use a mouse.

Galaxy Express by Jiri Hysek 2023-05-04T01:31:08Z

Fun game. The bombs felt really nice to place down. The animation you made for them exploding and the satisfaction of clearing blocks was awesome. Go Godot!

UnderTrained by Sharks 2023-05-04T03:44:33Z

This is an awesome demo! An overcooked type game on the back of a train is a great idea. The train is looking great. Even something basic for the gameplay would be nice. Even if it's just moving food around.

Cuckoo Delivery by Tomeyro 2023-05-03T03:58:21Z

Love it. Lots of car games are difficult to control. You made the decision to make it top down and not rotate with left and right, which I appreciate. It's really easy to pick up. The car movement is kinda fun with it skidding around. Thanks for sharing!

eelBay by Peco 2023-05-02T04:10:55Z

This is a gun little game. 5/5 on innovation.

E.T. Eats by Reef 2023-05-02T04:30:38Z

Yes! Finally a pico-8 game. Looks great and feels great. Awesome execution here.

Swerved by Tony Redmer 2023-05-03T00:12:30Z

It's giving me a 404. Did you forget to publish the itch page?

Uber-Heck by RubixNoob13 2023-05-03T00:07:05Z

Wow, I love the car movement and the general style of the game. Your idea is really unique. "Uber Driver in heck" made me chuckle. Some feedback: The UI doesn't match the rest of the game. I actually really like the atmosphere of the game and the orange color palette. If the UI matched that palette, I think the game would come together even more.

Rush Delivery by Dongle 2023-05-02T04:07:34Z

Really cool game. Pretty much every aspect of the game is great. The sounds, the graphics, the gameplay. I was a little confused playing at the start though. I like the progression of the game. My favorite game so far.

Supply Heroes by SvenErik 2023-05-02T04:37:22Z

Woah, this game is really polished. I love it!

Hot Dog Rescue by Roolow 2023-05-03T04:08:30Z

Getting some seriously strong N64 vibes from the graphics here. Great game for a first Ludem Dare.

The King, the Orc and the Banana by LoicLeGrosFrere 2023-05-03T00:09:11Z

I love the name. When I clicked the link, it said it "couldn't find the page". Maybe it's not published?

The King, the Orc and the Banana by LoicLeGrosFrere 2023-05-04T03:32:30Z

:/ Please @ me when you get this working. It sounds intriguing.

Pack 'Em Up by OgelGames 2023-05-04T01:13:51Z

Nice game. I packed it super full and it the boxes started glitching out. Was an interesting idea I haven't seen before. Also, Go Godot!

LD - PIZZA by Aune 2023-05-04T01:37:23Z

Charming game. And I love the "Pizza!". What caught my eye was the graphics. How did you make the sketchy style? Also I'm happy to see so many Godot games. Great game!

Merge Barge by ashashza 2023-05-03T01:02:20Z

Nice. I like the merge strategy and figuring out the gameplay enough to establish my own strategy was fun. I was a bit confused at first what the smog was doing. Also was confused as to the purpose of the different blocks. Maybe to simplify the beginning, just starting with one possible object and placing it down would help. Great game

Flight Dispatch by Fedora 2023-05-04T01:20:12Z

This game was very unique. I was impressed by the UI you set up. Being able to move the panels, double click, it had a really good feel to it. Also the names were funny. Slock, Lara, etc. Great idea!

Code of Conduct by Jatinstic Gaming 2023-05-04T01:27:16Z

I love how you did the title screen and tutorial. Very unique and it didn't feel boring/annoying like most tutorials. I had the option to quit at any time. When I entered level one, I couldn't figure out what to do. didn't see my character anywhere and clicking on things didn't do anything. Not sure what to do here :/

Pack It In! by Broccolly 2023-05-03T00:24:08Z

Fun little puzzle game. I like the cute little art style, but I had move myself closer to the computer to see what was going on. Feedback: It gets a little too difficult too fast.

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-02T03:48:50Z

Wow! Thank you all for the comments. <3

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-02T03:59:07Z

@pauldee427 Thanks for giving the game a play. I'm glad you liked it.

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-02T04:11:31Z

@sevla thanks for playing!

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-02T13:29:03Z

@frey, Thanks for playing! The "lagginess" you're feeling is that digging through certain types of terrain is more difficult than others. I think a particle effect or a special sound might be an addition we can make to make that more clear. Glad you liked our game

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-02T20:10:22Z

@squimmy Thank you for playing! I agree, things tend to get repetitive. We could have ended it once you collected all resources or connected all towns.

@merdeboi I'm glad you liked the graphics! Shoutout to @greatcadet and @tigerwolf181 who did the graphics.

@hmrpf Creating the rails was pretty tricky to make it all feel fluid. The lag is meant to simulate the difficulty of going through rough terrain. You're right, it's a little unclear. As the game is procedurally generated, it can be a bit unfair some runs.

@adam-gallina Thank you for playing. Some resources can be hidden on a corner of the map or behind a bunch of mountains and just out of reach. It can be frustrating. One way to find those resources is to locate them based on the quests. Quest rewards are based on distance, so you can kind of locate the resources.

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-02T23:16:32Z

@roalinn Thank you :) @wolderado I'll have to check that game out. Sounds interesting. @eharp Thank you. We had a lot of fun making it.

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-03T03:18:44Z

@dcvezzani Thanks for playing! I think it's typical for it to tak a few tries before you get a win :)

@paulhocker Go Godot!

@asmadigames I've never played EuroRails. I'll have to add this to the list. (Soko Loko Deluxe was also mentioned as a somewhat similar game).

@ardorugus, Narrative encounters would be so cool! Thanks for the feedback. If we decide to develop this game further, I'm definitely adding that.

@noam-blei Sorry :/ We made the game in Godot 4.0 which is still figuring out some issues with web support. We've noticed issues on certain browsers and the game doesn't work at all on Macs it won't work. Hopefully a different browser will work.

@dongle Thanks for playing

@aderpychickenstudios First off, I love your name. But also Go Godot 4!

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-03T04:14:10Z

@drainkid Thank you! By softlock, do you just mean you ran out of money?

@kinart Haha, that's definitely a good idea. One idea we thought of was showing a "-3" when you go over trees and a "-5" when you go over a mountain. Maybe we'll get to it with future work. Also, I'll check out your game. Love those Godot games.

@pralista What would you think about an upgrade that gave you three carts or starting with just one and upgrading to two? We initially had this planned but couldn't get to it.

@nardandas Thanks for the feedback. Smoke particles is definitely something we missed. I think we could try introducing more restriction by making some mountains that can't be built on. Maybe if we continue work on this.

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-03T04:19:08Z

@drainkid Ah, interesting. The quests aren't as visible as they probably ought to be. You'll see a sheep icon on the screen somewhere and have to move toward that to find the city that wants sheep. Or maybe there's a bug. Totally possible with how little time we had to test

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-03T13:16:27Z

@stevie257 Thank you. @greatcadet and @tigerwolf181 did the pixel art.

@bodhiagora I love hearing your thoughts as you played. Quest rewards were based on distance from the source city to the target city. We're definitely thinking about expanding the game; at least enough to address some of the feedback we're recieving.

@reef Agreed. We're definitely wanting to improve the communication in the game. The UI hints proved to be tricky to position and we didn't get to all the polish items on our to do list.

@ponygirlluna I like hearing that it was challenging, but after some time, you figured it out. We tried to strike a balance, and it seems like it was well received. Thank you for the feedback!

@random-ideation-studios SFX and some more house variations are always the kinds of tasks we leave for the last day. I would absolutely love if we could add this. Great ideas. Also, wow 45 minutes is a lot of time to dedicate playing a Ludum Dare game. We might have made the end a little too grindy. Thanks for playing!

@digx7 It really did come together. One of our team members spend most of his time on the feel of the game, controls, etc. Our two graphics people chose a palette they'd stick with on the first day to help with the cohesion. Also, seeing as the game was very low pixel, we chose to make the music in Pico-8, which contributes to the "retro game" feel. Past games we've made were done in Pico-8. So while we made this one in Godot, we didn't stray too far from the Pico-8 feel.

@lima-victor Thank you!

@pezdqk Thanks for playing

@smeljey Fun and relaxing is always good to hear.

@5huno-3 @cadetthegreat and @tigerwolf181 did a great job on the graphics! Thank you :)

@kristallllllik ^^^ Thanks for playing.

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-04T02:14:04Z

@vengence Thanks for playing!

@niz Thank you :) The music and sounds were a bit rushed. We started on the music on the last day and couldn't find the time for sound effects. I agree, we might try to turn this into a bigger one. At least finishing up the things we planned. Who knows.

@nsadie Thank you. @alanxoc3 did the music.

@skelleroznik I appreciate your review. We spent a total of over 100 hours over 3 days between all of us. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

@hannah Thank you! Pico-8 music for the win!

@georgy Thank you

@waffleworksgames Yes, I agree! Some resources are super hard to find, and that can be frustrating. It's definitely something we want to address when we go back and update.

@bts So much potential for the build while navigating feature. The rails just combine to form a big track, which is really fun. I'm glad you figured it out. It is a bit confusing at first

@thomas-karcher Apologies! We were rushed  You deserve an explosion of sheep for getting $200. Or at least some fireworks.

@weirdbitgames Thank you! The track building code was one of the more complex pieces. But Godot surprisingly supported what we needed with ease.

@ruslana Thank you for playing.

@tyler-m Glad you liked it :)

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-04T02:54:51Z

@kypello Thank you for the play! We've definitely been thinking about adding a minimap or a map that shows up on a certain key press. That could help with when people can sometimes get stuck.

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-04T13:17:49Z

@diego-teran We thought the level generation gave the game more replay value, but like you said, it can sometimes be frustrating to deal with. Thanks for playing!

@markais It can feel like that. Sometimes you have to play a few rounds before you get a really good run.

@vera-babchenko Thank you. @alanxoc3 and @cadetthegreat worked on the train physics and train animations. They dida great job.

@olddog Aw, thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed buliding your network.

@arqcenick Noted feedback. Thank you. I'm glad it was also fun to watch.

30 Minutes Or Your Potion's Free by Rustywolf 2023-05-04T01:42:07Z

One of the best games of this game jam. I loved it. I like the dialogue you put in to add a bit of a story. The art was great, and the gameplay was awesome. I'm curious how you managed to set all these up. Are there any libraries you used to help? I'd love to learn more about what worked for your dev flow. Also, Go Godot!

Deliverance by isovector 2023-05-03T00:01:47Z

Wow, built from scratch in Haskell. Nice. I think the real faces are an interesting touch.

Popcorn Odyssey by 0X_VOID_X0 2023-05-04T01:45:31Z

OMG! That GODOT intro was amazing!!! Okay, the game is fun. It's pretty simple gameplay, and there's a lot of directions it can be expanded. The graphics are making me a dizzy though

Deliver the baby! by Enad96 2023-05-02T13:31:55Z

A baby crawling around with a knife and killing people. Interesting concept. Feels really fun. I love the lines in this game too.

Constellation Courier by Diego Teran 2023-05-03T04:03:33Z

This game is fantastic. Can't believe I didn't see it til now. @diego-teran, who on the team did the graphics and how? I'm loving the brush strokes and the cute characters.

Constellation Courier by Diego Teran 2023-05-04T03:00:14Z

@peachy please teach me how to make graphics like that. That's amazing work. Sounds like a lot of you are first time game jammers. Great game!

Dungeon Delivery by Kyle Spence 2023-05-02T03:24:41Z

Nice game. I died a lot. Couldn't ever actually get the package to the lich.

Discrete Dungeoneers by picttarge 2023-05-03T00:03:05Z

No link? This game looks interesting. I wanna play it.

Discrete Dungeoneers by picttarge 2023-05-03T00:57:33Z

Looks like for windows you just have a jar file. Can you export it as an exe or windows installer file?

THC - Tower Highflower Carriers by Noam Blei 2023-05-02T04:02:39Z

Surprised there aren't any comments on this one yet. I've played a couple reverse tower defense games like this before. I like the graphics and sounds a lot too. Love the addition of the Wilhelm scream.

Overall, a good game for 3 days of work. The gameplay can get old pretty quick though.

Feathered Envoys by chromaticGray 2023-05-04T03:35:24Z

Couldn't download the file. Can you upload it to itch?

Harpoon Lagoon by Adam Gallina 2023-05-02T04:16:47Z

Cool graphics. I like the fish shadows floating on the water. That's pretty unique.

Courier by nubitoad 2023-05-04T03:36:35Z

It says you didn't upload the game yet.

CUBE RUNNER by itsBoats 2023-05-03T00:42:48Z

"Look, the year is like 40 billion. The people need their cubes"

Delivery Dash by Random Ideation Studios 2023-05-03T00:21:27Z

Robot Boss: "Because of you and stupid foodies, our sales are going down" xD

I love what you've done with this game. The controls are a bit wonky. But the atmosphere was great!

Conveyor Chaos by SMdG 2023-05-02T04:36:27Z

Fun game. Nice and snappy. It's pretty difficult, but fun.

Isekai Wagie Delivery Service Simulator by BoroBoro 2023-05-04T03:33:50Z

Can you export the game to web? I want to play it.

Midnight Muffin Delivery Service by Tyler M 2023-05-03T00:55:53Z

Pleasant graphics and relaxing gameplay. I especially love the little car bobbing up and down animation. It felt very polished, which is hard to do for a short game jam.

Apocalypse Prime by ADerpyChickenStudios 2023-05-03T03:32:44Z

I loved the detail on the truck and the buildings. Also, I loved the drawn style of the dialogue. Gameplay was good. I'm always happy when I can immediately understand the controls.

Feedback: While I liked the styles, some of them didn't quite match eachother.

The Sand World by Debone 2023-05-02T03:36:47Z

Okay, this is really cool. Took me a little bit to figure out what was going on, but the mechanics are pretty cool.

Crazy Postman by agushmar 2023-05-03T00:41:46Z

Some of the best music I've heard. The title screen looks amazing! Pressing 1,2, and 3 was difficult to do while driving. I'd love to see the "Q" and "E" letters used to switch between which package is active.

Dungeon Delivery Service by Explosives101 2023-05-04T03:31:55Z

It's giving me an error on the embedded link. Saying "I can't find your index.html" file. I'd love to play your game if you can get it working!

The Bear of Bad News by Daniel Username 2023-05-02T04:32:30Z

Wow, this game looks great! The bear is amazing. Also the music is great too. Top game right here.

Fast Fish Slow Reach by meguminzero 2023-05-03T00:11:54Z

same. I can't play the game. Tried all sorts of different buttons to "submit"

The Night Witches by Kultuk 2023-05-04T01:33:59Z

Didn't think I'd get a history lesson while playing a LD game. The plane turning animation and the shadow were really satisfying to play with. Also, the game mechanics were really clean. Together, this was a great submission. Also +1 for using Godot!

Mech Express by No whOne 2023-05-03T00:53:47Z

This game was a ton of fun. I love that I could understand the controls and gameplay within seconds. The character animation adds a lot to the polish. Also, I liked the title screen, music, and graphics.

feedback: Just more levels or some key to know what different boxes do.

Mech Express by No whOne 2023-05-03T02:52:28Z

I'd say, to make them more visible, introduce them, one at a time, during gameplay. You'll have to strike a balance of not interrupting the player's flow too much, so maybe start off with just one type of box, then after a minute or two, introduce some more. Also, about the instructions, that's totally understandable! This is a great game jam game.

Deliver Me From Evil by Ruben Christoffer 2023-05-03T00:27:12Z

A zombie apocalypse take on delivery. One thing you've got on most of the other games submitted is I understood the controls of your game within seconds. Kudos to you for that.

Some feedback: The music felt repetitive at the beginning. I liked the character and zombie movement a lot.

The other shore-彼岸 by Po-1 2023-05-03T04:33:20Z

Do you have a linux export? My brother and I made our game, and he speaks chinese. He uses linux though. Let me know if you get an english translation of the game up!

The other shore-彼岸 by Po-1 2023-05-03T04:42:17Z

@alanxoc3, check this game out.

Dungeon Pizza Delivery by Kujoen 2023-05-04T02:00:00Z

Cool game! "Where's the pizza". I definitely forgot the pizza a few times. I like moving with WASD and shooting with the arrow keys. I also loved the details in the dungeon. Lots of enemies makes for a better polished experience. Also, you used Godot which is another plus. Great submission!

Feedback: Pressing F is a little difficult for me if I want to quickly shoot enemies and dodge. I think shooting should just drop the pizza and still let me shoot, then I can pick it up later. Also, I don't think F needs to pick up the pizza. Just walk on it to pick it up.

Rock Paper Scissors Inc. by Weston Goggins 2023-05-02T03:46:27Z

Really clever puzzle game. Well done.

Delivery Drive by Volodymyr Karchevskyy 2023-05-03T01:05:11Z

Hey, we used Godot too! I love the old school vibe of this game. Also, I loved that I could stand in front of a car and get a speed boost. I wish my car had a better turn radius. I crashed... A lot....

Dear friend by hmrpf 2023-05-02T20:13:59Z

Wow! Beautiful aesthetics. I love the graphics and the music. (Though the music did cut out after a bit). The game is difficult, but not too difficult. I'd love to see more levels, new level themes, and even diving deeper into the "press space to fly" mechanic. Maybe areas where you can loop around or an obstacle that chases you (another bird?). Great game.

Terminal Mayhem by ThomasVenner 2023-05-03T00:19:04Z

Fun concept. Things quickly became very chaotic for me. I wish I could control things a bit better. +1 on having some way to know which mode is active.

Yuki's mystery by Sevla 2023-05-02T03:55:31Z

Creepy game. I like it.

You Shall Not Deliver. by makuck95 2023-05-04T01:54:29Z

There's a lot to this. Definitely not something you can play with a trackpad. I felt like the laser was satisfying and once I started getting upgrades, I had a good time. I kept dropping packages though, which was frustrating. Awesome game. Plus you used Godot. :)

Boxtorio by JoshuaBounds 2023-05-02T04:09:52Z

It looks really cool and what I could figure out worked really well and was smooth. But I couldn't figure out everything I was supposed to do here.

Deliver the Gem! by SlickClyde 2023-05-02T23:48:05Z

Fun little game, and impressive for a team of one. I'm really liking the mechanic of having one gem you can shoot, then having to pick it up afterwards. Some feedback: The movement could be polished a bit so you don't get stuck on corners.

AORD Autonomous Off-Road Delivery? by Prof. Karl 2023-05-04T03:38:19Z

Hi! How can I play this game?

One Small Puppy by SpaghettiCupcake 2023-05-04T01:10:17Z

Such a cute game! I love seeing all the games made in Godot. This was our first time using it for a game jam and we loved the experience. The cat and dog are so cute. A fun little game :)

Red Planet Rendezvous by csimpson 2023-05-04T01:49:43Z

Easy to learn, tricky to beat. Took me about 20 tries. Great game. Plus you used Godot, so 10/10 in my books. Great submission!

Election Day by prachi 2023-05-03T00:35:02Z

404 on the embedded link, but the itch one works.

"Riley, though everyone calls her Cryly" made me chuckle. I really like how you set up the story at the start. Having the words fall is hilarious. I couldn't figure out the controls at first and got claps for a bunch of "umm umm ....."s xD

deliver me from X by konfekt 2023-05-02T23:22:26Z

The "Hello World" xD. Nice game you've got here. I'm especially liking the hand-drawn graphics and the story is really good.

Dispatchers by Shiiigear 2023-05-03T00:37:50Z

The dispatchers are so cute. I ended up drawing lots of connections before I realized there was a deliver button at the bottom, but then it made sense. Some immediate feedback would be to Highlight the "Deliver" button right after the first connection is made on the first level. Then after that, it was pretty straightforward.

I like chucking packages at the muggers. Also delivering different packages to different houses makes for some interesting level design.

Some feedback: It's a little hard to see which house wants which package. Maybe make the icon bigger or making the entire house that color.

The best thing about this is the art. Also, the tutorial is top notch. I felt like the gameplay could have been more interesting. Driving a car through the city to get to the destination would have been a bit more interesting to me. But what you had was really nicely polished. Well done.

The reviews at the end made me laugh. Also, the gameplay was very easy to understand. Great game.

I really liked the unique mechanic of having a stamina bar to track your jumping and gliding. +1 for making it in Godot (I used Godot for the first time this game jam) The puzzles were simple and fun. Some feedback: Background music would be nice. Or some bird tweets and rustling leaves.

I love pico-8 games. We used pico-8 for our game music cause it was what we were used to. This is feeling just like papers, please. I bet you had a fun time making this.

It says 404, can't find index file. Is there another way to play this game? Also, you didn't have a cover image. I'd highly recommend adding one so you can get increased visibility.
